12 | ITS OVER
While escaping, Peter and Valdís hijacked Flash's car to get out of the city. Peter drive recklessly through the city to catch up with the evil winged man. Valdís held up her phone on speaker while Ned gave Peter directions to his phone, which he left in the winged man's car.
They ended up at in old industrial park in Brooklyn. "Happy was surrounded by a whole bunch of boxes." Ned informed.
Peter groaned. "It's moving day. He's going to try and rob the plane moving all the stuff from the Avengers tower!" Peter announced.
Valdís groaned. "I've gotta make a call. Keep trying to get through with Happy!" Valdís told, then hung up on Ned.
Valdís proceeded to dial her father's number. The phone rang once and he answered immediately. "Val? I've been trying to reach you for weeks! What were you thinking? In DC? I told you you could have a suit, not become a superhero—" Steve instantly began to lecture.
"Yeah, yeah, dad—" Val was interrupted.
Peter gasped. "Whoa you're talking to Captain America?" He asked, still trying to focus on the road.
"Hey, isn't that the little punk that stole my shield in Germany? Spider-Man?" Steve inquired.
Valdís groaned. "It's a long story. But I need your help, like... now! You've gotta tell Tony the plane to the new Avengers compound is gonna get robbed." Val informed.
"What? Val, stay out of it! I'll send for help." Steve began, but Val hung up. She had done her part and called for help.
As soon as she ended the call, Peter took a sharp right turn where the destination was, and ended up flipping over the car. Valdís hurriedly climbed out of the car and grunted. "I should've drove." She mumbled while rubbing her head.

Peter had entered the building and told Valdís to wait inside until she was cued in, just in case the whole thing was a trap. A ruckus erupted from the room, but Valdís stayed put. That was... until she heard the building collapse from inside.
Val rushed into the room and set herself entirely on fire. She caught sight of the winged man beginning to take off and she shot a few fireballs at the man. However, he flew off just in time before any of the fireballs could hit him. Val instantly turned back into the building and began searching through the rubble for Peter. He had little protection and could possibly be in severe condition under all that concrete that fell from the ceiling and pillars.
She dug through the mess, then began to hear Peter grunt in pain. Val's heart dropped to her stomach, her turned into waterfalls and a rock seemed like it was lodged in her throat. She rushed over to the area where his sounds of distress came from and began desperately pulling away the hunks of cement off of him. She dragged him out from under the heavy rock and out into the open. Peter could barely move as he laid on the ground.
Valdís wiped away her tears as she check Peter's body for any broken bones . "I'm okay. I'm okay." Peter repeated over and over.
Val began to sob hysterically. "Don't you die on me. I care too much for you to be dying." She threw her arms around his neck, holding onto him and assuring herself that he was alive.
Peter embraced her back, soaking in her warmth. Valdís broke their hug and stood up. "If you're okay, you're going to go out there to that damn Avengers tower and you're not going to let those criminals rob that damn plane." Val stuck out her hand to pull Peter to his feet. Peter got up and nodded reassuringly.

Valdís stayed on the ground while Peter somehow managed to make it up in the air and on the plane. Valdís did what she could while on the ground, so she made calls to every superhero she knew that could fly: Iron Man, Vision, Falcon, and War Machine.
She watched the sky carefully to make sure there was no explosion going off. She soon saw the quinjet flying straight down at New York. It was preparing to crash. But, it somehow turned and crashed along the coast.
Valdís ran as fast as she could to the site. But when she made it there, she only saw the horrific scene. The quinjet was in shambles and the entire beach was lit on fire. Liz's father stood on top of Peter and kept beating him. Valdís grew furious and began raging. She lit herself on fire, and finally could use her fire to destroy something. She walked up right behind the winged man and grabbed his back. She flung him away from Peter and shot fire balls at him, exploding him and his suit.
Peter rushed to Valdís' side and pulled her away to keep her from killing Liz's father. "No!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Val, you can't kill him!" Peter exclaimed and kept pulling her away.
Val then turned to Peter and looked at him with her darkened eyes, they were the same dark eyes she'd stare at her sister with when she worked for HYDRA. "Let. Me. Kill. Him." She snarled.
Peter didn't know what to do, so he did the one thing that his Aunt May would do when he was angry. He hugged her tightly. "You saved me. You don't need to kill him, it's over for him." Peter consoled.
Peter's kind words calmed Val down and pulled her out of her blinded rage fit. "Thank you." Peter thanked, lifting her chin to look at her deep in her eyes.
Valdís evened out her breathing and relaxed her tense muscles. "It's over?" She asked.
"It's over." Peter assured.
