"Heroes are often the most scarred, but they don't let the scars stop them."

Ant slowed to a stop, his eyes scanning around him, looking at the people around him. 'Where is he?! How could Jason just vanish?! Damnit! I hate it when he does this to me!' He thought to himself.
"Captain, do you see him? A recruit asked him. Ant shakes his head.
"No, I lost him again." Ant said. The recruit sighed a bit.
"This is General Jason we are chasing after, it won't be easy." They said. Ant's eyes stopped on a cloaked individual.
"There he is, lure him towards the trap." Ant said before going after them. Due to past incidents of failed attempts to get Jason in one spot, they have learned to set up a trap before trying to talk to the General since he tends to always find a way to slip out of their hands and disappear. So while Ant and a few recruits lead him the trap, Noah and a few other recruits are waiting to trap the General. They don't like having to trap him but they have run out of any other ideas they could do since they have exhausted them all on Jason in the past. Ant saw the figure bolt, making Ant bolt after them. 'That has to be Jason, why else would they run like that?' He thought to himself. He saw them take a hard right, only to back up a step and turn on their heels, going the other way, Ant seeing a recruit coming from the right side. Ant turned left, following them. 'Almost there.' He thought to himself. The figure took another turn into an alleyway, but as soon as they looked up, their eyes widen and felt himself get grabbed and held in place as ropes coiled around their torso, pinning their arms to their sides, the ropes being held by recruits. They gritted their teeth, wincing in pain. Ant went into the alleyway.
"Keep an eye out." Ant told two recruits. They nodded as Noah walked up to the figure, Ant yanked their hood back.
"General Jason Probst," Noah said smiling a bit. Jason's eyes flickered up to Noah.
"I see you two got smarter about trapping me." He said. Noah crossed his arms.
"We didn't want it to come to this--" Jason's eyes narrowed a bit at them.
"I highly doubt that." He said before Ant spoke.
"The fact of the matter is, we need you--" Jason looked at Ant, staring at him making him hesitate for a second before continuing. "--Jason, you are the best tracker in Allaron, not to mention, the Sky Army needs you." Ant said making Jason tense up a bit and looks away.
"Haven't I made it obvious that I don't want to help you?" Jason asked. Ant stepped towards the General.
"And why not?! You are third in command?! It's your duty!" Ant snapped at Jason making Jason's eyes snap to Ant, angry written in them.
"Because the Sky Army isn't my top priority! It hasn't been my top priority for years! Of course, I'm willing to help but not right now! I know this must be a new concept to you, Taylor, but I have other priorities that don't involve any of you!" Jason snapped back at him. Ant grabbed Jason, Noah pushed Ant off Jason.
"Let's calm down now! Nothing is gonna get solved by screaming at each other." Noah said mostly to Ant.
"Nothing will ever get solved if this General stays sitting on his ass as he has for the last four years." Ant said making Jason's expression darken before the ropes around him snapped, his hand holding a small device, Noah stepped back in shock. Jason stepped towards Ant.
"Don't act like you are the center of everyone's universe, because you're not. If it weren't for me, Saneria wouldn't still have their royal family." Jason said shocking them all. Ant stared at him before a recruit spoke.
"Wait, y-you saved--"
"Why do you think I never showed back up at the base after the battle went south? I was only able to save Princess Simone, while the King, Queen, and Prince died in the fight, so don't look at me like I have just been sitting back doing nothing for the last four years, I basically raised that little girl by myself for the last four years." Jason said.
"Where is she now?" Noah asked him. Jason looked at Noah.
"I'm not telling you that." He said.
"Why not?! She needs protection." Ant said making Jason look at him.
"And what's so wrong with me protecting her, Ant?" Jason asked him. Ant stared at him before Ant tackled Jason down, a portal appears on the ground before the two fell through it, the two ends up on the floor, Jason groaned, opening his eyes, realizing where he was. He kicked Ant off him.
"Get off!" Jason shouted. Jason scrambled up on his feet, but once he stood, Noah grabbed him from behind, pinning his arms to his sides, Jason yelped, struggling feeling pain sting in his gut. He gritted his teeth, squeezing his eyes shut.
"Calm down, Jason," Noah said to him. Jason struggled, he pushed against the floor, making Noah back up till his back hit the wall.
"General! Calm down!" The recruits said trying to calm the panicked General. Jason felt a sharp pain in his gut making him groan loudly, his struggling calming down so he could recollect himself. Noah looked at Jason, hearing him breathing heavy as Ian came, looking at the scene.
"What's going on?" Ian asked. Ian looked at Jason, seeing his pained expression. Jason felt Noah's arms around him tighten, making his pain worse, he leaned forward a bit.
"N-Noah." Jason groaned painfully. Ant looked at Jason, noticing the bandages under Jason's shirt.
"Lift his shirt up now." Ant said. Noah grabbed Jason's shirt, lifting it up seeing bloodied bandages wrapped tightly around Jason's torso, well were wrapped tightly.
"Get Alister!" Ian shouted going over to Jason as Noah dropped Jason's shirt, letting it fall back down before Noah and Ian both helped Jason sit down up against the wall, Jason's arms coiling around his gut. Ian grabbed Jason when he started leaning to one side. "Jason, what are the bandages for? Why did you get them?" Jason pushed against Ian, breathing heavily, feeling lightheaded. He touched his head, closing his eyes before Dr. Alister came running over to them.
"Move." He said making the recruits and Noah move away. Alister sat on his knees besides Jason. "Okay, General, what's going on?" Ian looked at Alister.
"He has bandages under his shirt, but I think whatever Ant and Noah were doing loosen them up, he's breathing real heavy," Ian said. Alister nods a bit before he lifted up Jason's shirt, checking the bandages best he could. 'These bandages are old, they need to be changed immediately. But why is he breathing so heavy? They aren't tight anymore.' Alister thought. Jason pushed Alister's hand off him.
"B-Broken r-ribs--ahh!" Jason yelled as he pushed Alister's hands off his torso. Alister stared at Jason for a second.
"O-Oh, that's bad," Alister said.
"And landing on him probably didn't help him," Noah said looking at Ant. Alister looked at Ian.
"I need you to help me take him to the medical ward. This is gonna hurt a lot, General. On three." Alister said as they both grabbed Jason. Jason shook his head looking at the two.
"N-No." Jason stammered.
"One."
"S-Stop!"
"Two."
"P-Please d-don't!"
"Three!" Alister said before they yanked Jason up on his feet making Jason scream out in agony, his knees buckling as his vision blurred, he collapsed into Ian, passing out as he felt arms wrap around him.

"How is he? Is he okay?" Ian asked Dr. Alister. Alister smiled a bit.
"He's gonna be fine, his hyperventilating is what made him past out, with a little rest, he will be fine. But the injuries he has are old injuries that were never treated properly and when injuries are not treated properly, they get worse." Dr. Alister said. Ian crossed his arms, looking down at the floor.
"Is he gonna be okay, Alister?" Ian asked him.
"He's always going to be in some sort of pain. I can give him something for it but since the injuries he has are old, there are gonna take months to heal." Alister said before they heard a scream and something crashing, Ian and Alister went back behind the curtained off room walking in on Jason out of his bed, sitting on the floor with the nurse having a hold of him, talking to him in a rush and calm voice as Jason was hyperventilating on the floor.
"W-What happened?" Ian asked. The nurse only glanced at the two before looking back at Jason.
"Nightmare." She said. Alister's eyes soften before going down beside the nurse in front of Jason. "I calmed him down." Jason looked at Alister with a distant look in his eyes.
"W-Where's T-Tyler?" Jason stammered.
"General Ty--"
"N-NO! Tyler! Where's T-Tyler?" Jason shouted before he turned away from them, putting his arm on the bed and forcing himself up onto his feet as he looking around frantically. "W-Where am I?" Alister and the nurse stood up, Alister looked at Ian. Ian nods and slowly comes over to Jason, Ian touched Jason's arm, Jason instantly recoiling away from Ian's touch and looking at Ian. "I-Ian! W-What are you doing here?! Where's Sid?! Is she okay?!" Ian nods.
"Yes, yes she is okay. But you got hurt and you need to rest."
"B-But what about Z-Zek? And Ross? And Sub? And Seth? And Tyler? And R-Rob? Are they okay?!" Jason asked. Ian's eyes widen a bit as he stared at Jason, speechless for a moment before nodding.
"Um yes, yes they are all fine. But they want you to rest, okay? So lay down." Ian said. The nurse took Jason's other arm.
"Come on, General--" Ian saw Jason tense up making him speak.
"Don't call him by his military rank, I-I think that's making it worse," Ian told the nurse. The nurse nods.
"Alright, come on, Jason. Time to rest." She said before Jason just nods and sits on the bed before Alister and Ian leave, Ian meeting eyes with Ant and Noah.
"He's part of Iron Crew," Ian said to them. Ant nods.
"I heard him talk about Zek and Rob. But those other names, they must be the other members." Ant said. Noah looks at Ian.
"Their behavior makes more sense now, it makes sense why the Iron Crew was never hostile towards us," Noah said. Ian nods before looking at Noah.
"Jason has to be the leader of it, so I want you to find the other members. Zek, Sub, Seth, Ross, Rob, Sid, and Tyler are the names Jason mentioned. Find out what you can, I'll have Michael look into this as well." Ian told Noah. Noah nods.
"Yes, sir," Noah said before walking away. Ant crossed his arms, staring at the curtains.
"...What if General Jason isn't the leader?" Ant asked making Ian look at him.
"Who else could it be? He--" Ant looked at Ian.
"Princess Simone, but he never mentioned her during his little episode." Ant said. Ian nods.
"Yeah, but you said that he was raising her on his own for four years, I highly doubt Jason would be the type of person to just abandon a sixteen-year-old girl, she must be with them. If she is, can I trust you with her protection until Jason is more stable-minded?" Ian asked him. Ant nods.
"Of course, she's the rightful heir to the throne of Saneria, we need her alive." Ant said making Ian smile a bit.
"Thank you, Ant," Ian said making Ant raise an eyebrow up at him.
"What are you smiling at me for?" He questioned making Ian chuckle lightly.
"It's just nice to see that even after all that happened, you are nothing like the asshole you use to be," Ian said making Ant narrow his eyes at Ian.
"I take offense to that." Ant said making Ian shrug his shoulders.
"Take it as you will, I'm just grateful that you are being the Captain that we all knew you were capable of being instead of the Captain you were back at the Sky Army," Ian said making Ant look away from him, pausing for a few moments.
"Staring death in the face kinda changes you I guess." Ant said making Ian agree.
"Yeah, take a break, Ant, you deserve it. Go get some sleep since I highly doubt you have had a lot over the past few days." Ian said making Ant nod and walk away. A nurse runs up to Ian.
"Lieutenant, it's Captain Max." She said before Ian rushed past her and to Max's curtained off room. Alister is holding onto Max, talking to him.
"What happened?" Ian asked coming to the foot of the bed before Max spoke at Ian.
"Y-Yellow eyes--I saw yellow eyes, Ian!" Max exclaimed catching Ian off guard. 'Yellow eyes?' Wait he just called me by my name!' Ian thought to himself.
"You just called me by my name," Ian said. They put restraints around Max's wrists to keep him from hurting himself. Ian looked at Alister. "Is his amnesia already gone?" Alister shakes his head.
"To be honest, I don't know what is going on here. He's recalling memories that make absolutely no sense, I think they are false memories. Either way, his real memories are returning but with fake memories forming as well." Alister said. Ian pointed at Max.
"The yellow eyes thing? What is that? A fake memory? I don't know anyone with yellow eyes." Ian said. Alister shrugged his shoulders.
"I-I don't know, sorcerers' eyes can change to unnatural or rare colors, he said the last thing he remembers was seeing yellow eyes," Alister said before he grabbed Max to keep him still as Ian stared at them. His hands balled into fists as he watched Max. 'If only Seto was here, we really need his help.' He thought to himself before he goes into to help calm Max down.
