"State your full name for the records."

"Mitchell Donnell-Ralph Hughes."

"Charged with treason, assassination, assault, torture, murder, genocide, break-in and theft. Do you admit to these crimes?"

"Not a damn one."

"Why?"

"Because they aren't crimes if they are against the Squid King," Mitch said making the room silent for a few moments. Mitch looked at the judge, leaning back against the pole, his wrists are restraint, forced on his knees with a pole locking his chains to the floor. He's a mess, cuts on his skin, his black and red checkered sweatshirt halfway down his arms and his jeans baring rips in them with dirt smeared on his skin, his caramel brown hair a mess and bags under his eyes. He flinched when the attorney to the left of him suddenly stood, looking at him.

"You've been captured a lot, General, why is that?" He asked Mitch. Mitch shrugged his shoulders.

"If you don't want to capture me so many times then stop letting me escape. It's that simple, and how is this a fair trial?" Mitch asked as he looked at the judge. "You can't be serious, judge, come on."

"This is a fair trial, Lieutenant General." The Judge said. Mitch gripped his chains a little, staring at the judge. 'I didn't know Saneria had gotten this bad, the Squid King has the entire kingdom and its people wrapped around his fingers.' Mitch thought.

"You ever use a crossbow?" The attorney asked him. Mitch looked at him.

"I've used them in the past, but I prefer a traditional bow then a crossbow," Mitch said. Attorney nods slightly, leaning against the table.

"I'm gonna be honest here, I didn't expect for you to answer my questions at all--"

"That's because anything I say here won't hold any weight since my fate is already predetermined by the Squid King, so I'm dead anyway. So I have nothing to lose."

"Do you know the whereabouts of Lieutenant General Jerome Aceti?" The attorney asked making Mitch visibly tense up. The attorney crossed his arms. "Do you know the location of General Tyler Ellis? Major General Quentin Juneau? General Jason Probst? General Harvey Azdel?" Mitch looked at the attorney.

"They're in Allaron," Mitch said making a few in the audience chuckle and smile. The attorney sighed, irritated.

"We know they are in Allaron, where in Allaron?" The attorney asked Mitch. Mitch shrugged his shoulders.

"They are in Allaron, well actually I can't speak for Seto since you know, wizards like to travel between dimensions sometimes. So he could be anywhere. And if you haven't gotten it yet, attorney, let me break it down for you...I rather die than tell you where any of them are and I am prepared to take those locations to my grave." Mitch said. The attorney stared at Mitch, looking away from him and at the judge.

"One more question." He said. The judge motioned to Mitch. "Where were you when Commander Adam Skylen died?" Mitch tensed up, not looking at the attorney, but he felt like glaring at him. He's staring at the floor, he hasn't given that day much thought and that's for a reason, he doesn't want to think about it at all, his eyes shifted to the attorney.

"I'm not answering that."

"Answer it." The judge said. Mitch looked at the judge.

"You are not pinning his death on me," Mitch said.

"Who said we were?" The attorney asked. Mitch looked at the attorney.

"Why else would you ask that?" Mitch asked him. He looked at the judge. "You think I'm not upset about Adam's death? Because I am--"

"So why haven't you Sky Army officers done something about it? Why have you all gone into hiding? Why did the Sky Army collapse?" The judge asked him. Mitch gripped his chains, gritting his teeth together.

"Seto was badly injured in battle, he was taken to a location for recovery, I'm not saying where. I can't speak for the rest of us, but we tried, we did. But once Adam died, we fell apart. I have no clue what Jason was doing and I still have no idea where he is, he could have died in the battle and no one knows it. Ty and some recruits took Sky to Slycer Village in an attempt to save him while he was still alive but he died. Quentin and Jerome left to take Seto to safety since he was in really bad shape. Ian and I tried our best to defend the base, but the morale was as low as it could be with Adam's death on everyone's minds and Seto's injuries. And not to mention, the squids bared weaponry that I've never seen before, it was advanced and it overtook us. They attacked us when we were weak and destroyed the base, if your army doesn't have good morale and a clear mindset, you don't have an army that should see battle. Morale means everything, too many bad things happened at once and it overwhelmed us and lead to our downfall! That's what happened!" Mitch said before he looked away from the judge. Silence overtook the room for a few moments, everyone processing what Mitch had said, the judge talking.

"Ex-Sky Army Lieutenant General Mitchell Hughes, I hereby sentence you to death by hanging." The judge said. Mitch stared at the floor, not caring what the judge said since he already knew what the end result would have been anyway. The judge got up, leaving, Mitch feet tentacles wrap around his arms, pulling the pole out and just as he was yanked to his feet, the windows were broken, figures bursting through them and landing a few feet away from Mitch. Two of them killing the two squids that held Mitch. Mitch felt his chains get unlocked and taken off. He turned halfway seeing a figure holding his bow and arrows out to him, they lower their bandana from their mouth and nose as the people who were in the room had run out, screaming and the guards were killed. Mitch grabbed his bow and quiver.

"Thanks, Ian," Mitch said. Ian stared at Mitch.

"You look like crap." He said. Mitch pulled his hoodie back up, wearing it correctly now.

"Let's just go," Mitch said as he swung his quiver strap over his shoulder. Mitch pulled his hood up, Ian backing up, looking at the other figures.

"Alright, let's get out of here." He said pulling the bandana back up, covering half his face. Mitch held his bow firming in his hand, following Ian. They went into the hallway. Ian glanced at Mitch. "I haven't heard from you in months and then I found out last week that you were arrested, again. Mitch, what are you doing? You can't keep depending on me to save your ass from getting hung." Mitch looked at Ian.

"Have you heard from Jerome?" Mitch asked making Ian look at him almost stopping.

"No, you're still...didn't you talk to Quentin?" Ian asked. Mitch nods.

"Yeah, but even he didn't know. He told me that he was acting strange and disappeared one day and hasn't seen him since." Mitch said. Ian and they went into an alleyway, going to a dead end. Mitch looked at the two people forming a portal and looked at Ian. "How many people do you have now?" Ian looked at him.

"Around 267 recruits. Some are new, some are from the base." Ian said. Mitch nodded a bit, looking away from him. Ian's eyes soften a bit. "My offer still stands, Mitch, and even if you won't take it, you can live at HQ...you need to stop being so reckless." The two recruits formed the portal, holding it there. Mitch looked at Ian.

"I know I'm being reckless, trust me, I'm aware of that. But I have a very bad feeling that something bad happened to Jerome and I need to find him. I found him last year and he didn't look so good. I was following a lead in Saneria before I got myself arrested again." Mitch said as the recruits went through the portal. Ian nods a bit and sheaths his sword.

"Let us at least treat your injuries and I'm sorry man, but you desperately need a shower as well," Ian said making the recruits around them chuckle and Mitch smiles.

"I was in jail for a week," Mitch said making Ian smile.

"Generals!" A recruit shouted as guards spotted them and attacked. Ian pushed Mitch towards the portal.

"Go!" He said before Mitch went through the portal.
