2: It factor

"You don't have to look like that," Stephanie scolded, though it wouldn't look like from a distance because of the warm look she wore for wandering eyes.

Roman chuckled, eyes roaming the school grounds, looking at the girls. "Handsome? Because I can't, I'm sorry." He didn't lack any sort of confidence if you hadn't figure that out by now.

Stephanie rolled her green blue eyes. "Like a pedophile. You don't have to look like a pedophile, Roman," Stephanie hissed at him, clarifying exactly what she meant.

Roman brush off the comments, now looking at her, "I'm just looking, that's literally all I'm doing, just looking. It's not like I'm touching myself while doing so," He defended, truly meaning it. He didn't even think that was how he came across. Intimidating, was what he expected her to say actually.

"Just looking," Stephanie scoffed a laugh, "A grown man looking at girls mostly minors. It isn't just looking at that point."

And as much as he hated it, Stephanie was right. Exhaling, he shook his head, he wasn't going to have her win that easily. "I'm only twenty six," he chirped, defensively.

"Once you're twenty five or over, it's basically like your thirty pal," Stephanie patted his shoulder 'comfortingly'. Roman gave her a warning look and she retrieved her hand, folding her lips. Sighing, she wanted this over and done with. "There," she pointed to a girl, subtly, Roman's eyes went to her. "Big boobs, good face, bitchy attitude almost. Perfect for you." Stephanie advertised, "Alina Goal."

Stephanie wouldn't mind passing Alina up, she was in the failing percentage of the school, and one less failing, means better for her school's rep.

Roman studied the girl and as good she looked, she wasn't it. She didn't have it. Roman shook his head no and Stephanie glared at him. Looking back out in the school's yard where mostly all of the girls are gathered. "Her," she pointed to Kyle Hans. Roman studied her but again, she wasn't it.

This went on for a while until the man, got annoyed. "Stop, I'll see someone soon. Just stop talking," Roman basically demanded of her. Stephanie swallowed down her need to tell him off as she obliged and just looked out at the sea of girls.

***********

"Today feels off," Alicia told, sitting in the car, being driven back to school.

Brie looked at one of her best friends, giving her a funny glance. "How? Is it too hot or something? It could be climate change you're feeling," Brie both asked and suggested. Sympathetically, hoping Alicia was okay.

Alicia smiled and shook her head. "No, not like that," she started, "I mean today is hot, no lie but not the weather," Brie gave her a curious and lost look. "I don't know, it feels like something is about to go wrong. Like, I don't know, like something bad," Alicia confessed.

She didn't meant to scare her innocent friend but she was never one to hold back her thoughts. Eve, the other girl in the car being driven back to school looked at Alicia with a raised brow as Brie contemplated.

Eve had brunette hair and some of the most prettiest eyes Brie had ever seen. Eve was one of the most beautiful girls she ever saw. "Stop. I don't want anything bad to happen." And Eve was serious.

See, Alicia had a reputation for being almost psychic. It's not like she could predict the future or anything but every time she has had a bad feeling, it was almost always justified.

"But it's such a beautiful day. And anything that could have gone wrong lost its opportunity. I mean we have already played the tennis tournament," Brie told trying to ease not only the other two girls nerves but hers as well. It was way too beautiful of day for something bad to happen, Brie thought.

"Yeah, plus nothing really ever happen in that school. Except for going there of course," Eve started and Brie looked at her. She doesn't get why almost everyone seems to hate the school. She loved it. It was home to her. "Plus the only thing that can go wrong at this point is if this car crashes."

Brie's brown eyes went wide as her jaw slacked. "Eve!" Alicia scolded through gritted teeth. Eve looked at Brie and squinted her face in a sorry way. Eve clearly wasn't thinking when she said that. "Brie it isn't that bad of a feeling. It doesn't feel like death," Alicia told, maybe an accident but not death, she added mentally.

Brie's heart was still beating as she gave her friend crazy looks, there was no way Alicia could have known they would have arrived safely.

"It's okay Brianna, Misses Jazz, is a phenomenal driver, we'd reach perfectly safe," Miss Love told. She hadn't intervene before but she knows how Brie can sometimes over worry. Brie looked to the front seat that the teacher was sitting in. "It's fine," Miss love comforted her.

Brie thought it to be rude to argue or disagree with a teacher so she nodded, and try to tell herself that. "Thanks for the comforting words," Brie thanked, "And I believe you are a great driver, miss Jazz."

Now usually most people would think Brie was kissing ass but she wasn't, that's just how she naturally is. Or how she raised to be.... Either way she expected nothing in return. The driver smiled at her.

"I'm hungry," Alicia told as Eve muttered sorry to Brie who nodded and accepted it. Brie knew it was never Eve's intention to frighten her.

Reaching back in school Alicia held up her trophy and rushed onto the school grounds, where mostly all students have to be to eat their lunch or just hang out, once it's lunch everyone had to be on the school fields. It has benches for students to eat on the table or they could have grabbed a blanket and eat on the green grasses. Once they were all there.

Alicia caught everyone's eyes as she walked with the trophy held up. Emma saw her friend and gawked, jumping up from the ground she rushed over to Alicia and hugged her tightly. She had won. Brie smiled at the two. Alicia deserved the praised, she was the best one out there today. Brie wore her bronze medal while Eve wore her silver.

Emma broke the hug and rushed over to her naive friend, crushing her. Brie giggled and hugged Emma back. The two pulled apart watching as Alicia bathe in all the praise. Emma going back to Alicia's side. Brie just stood on the sidelines watching as both Alicia and Eve got praised from the students and teachers.

All she could have done was smile. She was insanely proud of them. She may not have won or placed second in her tournament but she only felt happiness for them. Jealousy didn't live in her heart.

Roman was about to give up his search for the girl with the it factor and probably ask Stephanie for something else. He was stood there for over a while and no girls did it for him. They all had just seemed the same almost. Sure, some stuck out more than others but none drew him in.

But that all changed when a girl holding a trophy ran onto the school grounds. She shined but not enough for Roman. He watched as the blonde he saw earlier hugged the girl holding the trophy before hugging a next girl who stepped out the car as well but he was too busy looking at trophy girl.

Roman's eyes study as the brunette looked to be squashed by a hug from the blonde girl but still laughed and giggled. She looked so genuine and happy. She shined like a diamond in his eyes. He saw her medal was bronze. He saw how the girl with silver medal looked a tad jealous of the girl with trophy. He saw how the girl with bronze just looked overjoyed for the two, who both did better than her. No jealousy was in her eyes or actions. She was just happy.

And that, that had to be the it factor. Every other girl seize to matter. She was the girl, he was taking. It was her. He found her and for not one second did he second guess it was her.

"Her," Roman pointed. Stephanie, snapping out of her bored trance, looked to where Roman had pointed.

Her green eyes going wide. "Roman, no," Stephanie argued and that just made Roman feel even better about his decision. She must have a lot of value for Stephanie to say that.

"And why not?" Roman asked though he knows no answer would change his mind, she was his to take.

"Brie is the most innocent and naive girl. She is this school's show girl of how people hope their kids can be. She is the poster girl for the nice girl. She is loved by every teacher in this school. She is the queen of soccer and is also good at tennis and other sports. Plus, she doesn't deserve to be used by you Roman, no. Any other girl in here, fine. But not Brie. She doesn't deserve it Roman," Stephanie stopped and inhaled.

Looking deep into Roman's eyes with sincere concern. "She doesn't deserve to be ruined by you." And that Stephanie meant.

The teacher may have been heartless all around but even she knows Brie didn't deserve to be handed over to Roman.

Roman squinted his eyes and lifted his chin at her. He saw the passion in which she fought for the girl he now knows as Brie. His eyes lingering back over to Brie who was being handed a bottle of water by the trophy girl. He didn't doubt Stephanie, he could almost see the word innocent written all over her. He could see why Stephanie valued her. And he can see how he'll be her ruining.

"I'm not changing my mind. I want her," he stated firmly and seriously.

"Roman please. I'd give you ten girls, even the one with the trophy, just for Brie." Stephanie fought and she was serious.

Roman chuckled, "Well that just means she has a whole lot of value. Value, I'd love to have, you aren't changing my mind. I'm taking her. Brie is mine." Roman told, sparing Brie one last look before walking off.

Stephanie giving him a harsh and desperate look behind his back, rushing to meet him in her heels. "How am I suppose to explain to her parents and teachers that she left?" Stephanie asked, hoping he'd change his arrogant mind.

Roman shrugged, "Not my problem. You didn't seem to have a problem while picking girls for me to take."

The headmistress rolled her eyes, mad that her husband had to cause so much problems just to kill. "Yeah, that's because most of them hate it here and is likely to run away. Brie was the least likely to do so. No one would ever believe she had just ups and leave. And I can't say I send her away without her parents' permission," she informed the wealthy and powerful man.

Roman laughed. "Oh," he stopped and looked at Stephanie, an almost thinking and sorry look on his face, Stephanie exhale relieved, thinking she had changed his mind. "Sucks to be you then." Instantly her face hardened, in anger as Roman snickered. "You're a smart woman Stephanie, figure it out." Roman winked before taking his sunglasses from his pocket and sliding it onto his face, leaving.

Shit! Stephanie was left to think, glancing down at Brie, who looked so happy. She was saddened that that happiness would soon leave her face, but she had to put herself and her birth children first. Exhaling through her nose the headmistress, stomped into her office, ready to plot the disappearance of the school's angel.

And that was harder than it seems.
