“Losing my identity
Slowly, breaking every part of me

•••°•••

"You're here. Good. Sit." Roman commented, waving off the security from Brie as she entered back into his house, pupils still blown from witnessing 'herself' on tv earlier spilling lies.

Brie felt like she was remote controlled as she walked to the small dining table with only four seats, sitting across from Roman. Eyes on him but she felt like she wasn't seeing him, still much too wrapped in her own mind. "Good day," she spoke but her own voice sounded so far away.

Roman saw just how far away she was mentally. "So, I've heard you had seen the news today -though you weren't suppose to." Roman started expecting his words to snatch her from her thoughts (from her depth of fear) but nothing. Brie was expecting this. "Yes, well I had you drugged and hypnotized into doing that interview using the shock method. Then I had one of the smartest guys I know test out his latest invention on you. See it is a little chip - high tech technology- to control you when needed but it only works for like four hours before it shuts down and it wipes your memory clean of what it used you for." Roman told with a serious face.

Brie felt her blood ran cold and her attention finally snapped to him. She felt her body become rigid but her heart thump like never before. She felt the need to gulp but didn't know how too. She even felt her toes cringed and muscles tensed. True and absolute fear. Violent control was one horrible thing but technological control was a thing she feared to be worst because she had not one control of her body or even the memory. The possibilities of what they could make her do disgust her and scared her more than ever. Her eyes and nose met with the scent and smell of the food he was eating and it made her want to throw up.

Roman watched her expression as he ate his chicken, enjoying it for a while until he saw tears began to form in her eyes and the rest of her body has yet to move. He knew those signs all too well; a mental breakdown was soon to follow.

Roman rolled his eyes. "I'm joking, no chip is in you." He came clean. "You're not being controlled -at least by some tech shit."

Brie felt her heart dropped back into place and an anger like she never knew came rushing through her. For the first time in possibly her life, she angrily glared at someone, shaking her head. Roman would have never guessed it but her glare was pretty scary (if you put aside how adorable she was). "You're a horrible person." She never said that to someone or ever truly think it, always giving people the benefit of the doubt but she couldn't do that no more with him.

Roman didn't know why that pinched at him. He had been called that for years now and that was his biggest compliment, so why when angel face did, it hurt? He may never know. His face remain blank though as he placed a fork full of rice into his mouth.

Brie couldn't stand the sight of him and with her state his food made her nauseous. "Excuse me, I'm going to my cell," she never expressed some sarcasm and rudeness nor has she ever left the table first but she did not feel herself.

Brie got up not waiting for his approval to leave. "Sit your ass back down. We are not done here. I may not control you technologically but I can still harm the people you love and I will if you don't sit down. Now." Brie never knew a person's voice could be as intimidating as his. She never knew she would still want to rebel from such a voice-- from such a person. But alas she sat.

"See, you may think I am a bad person and you are right. But tell me, what kind of parents makes twins, flip a coin on which twin to keep and have the doctor who they had deliever their babies at home sell the other one illegally?" Roman asked just about the most random question ever to Brie. Brie just stared at him like he was truly insane, Roman smirked. "Yours. See you weren't on tv, your twin Nicole was. Yes, you have twin. Seth found her."

Silence. Everything was silent. And by everything she meant her mind. It had all went silent. Even the clinking of Roman resting his fork down on the plate had be silenced. There was no noise, no sound but spinning. Lots of spinning. She was spinning. She felt the wheels in her head start to spin so fast until it felt like it had broken and sparked causing her to close her eyes and hold her head due to her headache.

Roman watched. He said or did nothing. He just watched. It was like witnessing an earthquake and seeing cracks start to appear. He was seeing her start to crack under pressure and she is doing so silently for now.

His phone began to ring, breaking the silence in the room. Brie heard it, but not really, she was out of it. Roman dug in his pocket, pulling it out, checking the callers id he saw Stephanie's name. He looked at Brie and figured this would be a way to draw her back out from space.

Answering, he put his phone on speaker. "Has been a while since we spoke." Roman was the first to speak. His eyes on Brie who still was so zoned out.

"What the hell was that?!" Stephanie's voice boomed from the speaker phone. Bingo! Brie was snapped out of her head and looked directly to the phone with wide, crazy eyes in pure disbelief and somewhat relief to hear a familiar voice. A voice of someone she loved and (still) deemed a good person.

Brie was about to speak but Roman silenced her with one quick finger against his mouth. "Was what?" Roman act all nonchalant, a smirk already coming across his face.

"Brie being free, just like that? What is this?" Stephanie asked and it shocked brie that she did not sound thrilled. She knew he had taken her and that stung. It stung more because Roman had told her so numerous times yet..... she didn't believe him.

"Yeah I'm a nice guy. She was too much of an angel to be held captive. Plus why are you worried?" Roman motioned for her to remain silent with his finger. "Don't you have a husband you had poisoned to worry about?"

Brie just looked at him, not believing what he had said. "Yes and for how long he is taking to die I surely don't deserve this stress!" Stephanie whispered yell.

Brie felt her whole world burn to the floor. The woman she admired the most is a killer. No way.

Roman looked at her like he had won. He did, he proved too her she was living in a lie. Her life was a lie. "Well that was the deal. Brie was the deal. Plus, you don't have to stress alone, call up her parents and make it a party."

Brie felt a glimpse of hope at the mention of her parents. Stephanie's sour laugh made her hope damper. "Her parents don't care! I care way more than they do! They think she is dead and is planning to use her disappearance as a gateway to make more money! They are heartless monsters -even more so than I. Just send Brie back and don't pull any dumb stunts like you just did!" Stephanie did not even know but she absolutely shattered Brie with her words.

Her own parents did not care about her? Does that mean she really did (does) have a twin that they sold illegally? Maybe they are both lying. But she was done. Done seeing the good in people, it tore her apart too much times in such a short time.

Roman felt for her. He had Seth and Dean handle her parents and keep them shut with threats. But he had no idea that they did not care for their own child. Especially one like Brie, who loved them without them really ever being there for her.

Brie did not want to hear no more so she reached over and took his phone from his grasp (much to his surprise) she then hung it up. He was expecting her to plead or talk to Stephanie but she didn't, she just hung it up. He smirked because he had won. He showed the angel she was in hell all along.

Brie then rest his phone back on the table and stood up, walking off a bit.

"No, you don't get to hang up my phone and walk away with out so much as a goodbye or something." Roman stood from the table, voice authoritative .

Brie stopped and looked at him with tears running down her face. He should have been happy with how broken she had look. How stupid she felt. How he was starting to break through to her but her pain pained him. He froze for a second and if he got the chance right this second to go back in time and not choose Brie for this little plan of his. He would have. But he couldn't. Plus he had to remind himself things happen for a reason and he doesn't care about Brie.

"As I was saying y-," Roman's voice fell short when she started to walk over to him. "What are you doing?" Half expecting her to slap him, half knowing he would have been stunned if she did. Getting ready to make up her punishment if she did.

She then just stopped in front of him and looked him in the eyes seeing how his face looked confused. Eyes still showed nothing but greyness.

Brie then loudly sobbed and hugged him, she hugged him so tightly. "You're the only one who have been honest with me. Thank you." She cried, holding onto him. It was sad. Her life was sad. It was sad she was hugging and thanking the monster in her life who seemed a lot better than heroes and role models in her life.

Roman stood there still, eyes a bit wide due to the shock. He made no attempt to hug her back because this was weird. "Stop hugging me." Was his command and in a second she obeyed.

But you know what was worst than her hugging him? Her collapsing onto the floor, in loud sobs and oh so many tears. She was literally on her knees bend over so her face was on the ground in her hands.

Shit. Roman literally froze. Fucking shit. He considered leaving her or sending her to her room but soon found himself rolling his eyes at his stupid soft spot for her.

"Stand up," Roman commanded without a sound of caring in his voice. Brie was shaking, she tried but she just couldn't move, it felt like the weight of her fallen world was crushing her. "Fucking fuck!" Roman whispered hissed to himself.

He swooped down and picked her up from under her arms, just standing there for a while while she cried into her hands, feet wobbly a bit.

"I really can't stand you," Roman told himself outloud, Brie was too busy crying to even care what he had to say. "Are you ready to go to your room?"

Brie shook her head no. "I don't want to be alone. I -I...." She trailed off after saying in a hoarse voice to cry some more.

Roman really didn't see what her not wanting to be alone has to do with him at all. Like why should he care? He should just throw her in her room and lock it. But apparently angels hold a power over him.

"Fine," Roman told, bending to her knees, picking her there, the other arm beneath and between her arms, holding her up that had her gasping. Brie looked at him so confused and scared but she looked broken and done. But what killed him was the look of hope she had in her eyes was gone. It was just pain and darkness, no more light and that shouldn't have pained him. He wanted that. But maybe not. Roman looked at her as if he is asking if she has problem with it but she just wrapped her arms around his neck and cry some more.

Roman exhaled loudly and began walking to his tv room, which was his safe haven only (well excluding Seth and Dean when they come over).

Once there he rest her down on the overly comfortable and overly large sofa chair, that faced the tv. Brie sort of glance around but her version was too blurred by her own tears. Roman grunted, mumbling angry words aimed at himself, sitting down with a good amount of distance between them. He folded his arms and leaned his head back on the back of the couch, shutting his eyes.

His presence as angry as it was helped her.
