Making decisions
As the last bell rang, the first thing the group of boys wanted to do was go back home and talk about the day they just had. To brainstorm what they were going to do tonight until their plans slightly changed. One girl walked up to Sehun, wrapping her arm around his like they were friends. It startled Sehun a bit, he looked down at the girl confused on why she was linking arms with him.
"Hello?" Sehun confusingly introduces himself.
"Hey, your name is Sehun, right?" The girl asks, staring up at him like he was an idol.
The other boys around him were just watching what was happening, and were also confused on who this girl was. "Yeah, that's me" Sehun answers, still sounding confused.
"Everyone in the school is talking about a whole group of new kids who just transferred here. I took a glance at you guys in the cafeteria eating with the jocks, and I couldn't get my eyes off of you in particular." She explains, sounding more serious the longer she spoke for.
"Oh, that's nice" Sehun says, trying hard not to make it sound like he thought the girl was crazy.
"I was wondering if you wanted to come to McDonalds for a bit? Some friends of mine and I wanted to chill there and wanted to know if you were down on coming? I think it'd be pretty good since you know no one here it'd be nice to get to know some new people, what do you say?" She asks, lightly nudging Sehun on his side while asking him.
Sehun took a glance at his group of friends who all looked concerned about how Sehun was going to answer. "I don't know, I really think I should get ready for the party that's happening later on tonight."
"Oh you mean the party that's going on at Seokjin's house? Yeah, my friends and I are going to that as well. Isn't it for you guys?" She asks, giving off what sounded like a fake laugh at the end. "It'd be horrible if you missed your own party, we won't be at McDonald's long anyway. Girls take longer then guys to get ready, and we're still going. The party doesn't start until close to midnight anyway so we have a bunch of time to waste. Come on, please~" The girl begs.
Sehun looked at the girl like he didn't want to go, and didn't know what to do. He looked back at his group and gave eye contact while asking them what he should do. Luhan went into Sehun's mind and answers "tell her that you'll go with them."
"Sure, I'll go." Sehun says, looking back down at the girl who was still clinging to his arm.
"Really, you will?! Yay, Sorry for stealing him away from you guys for a couple of hours." The girl answers before dragging him away from his own group to leave the classroom.
"Why'd he leave?!" Chen asks, looking at the others confused.
"I told him to go" Luhan answers.
"Why'd you tell him to go, we need everyone here today. It's going to be hectic tonight." Tao asks, looking at Luhan like he was crazy for telling Sehun to go with them.
"I don't know, I was just thinking that it would be suspicious that Sehun wouldn't go with them. I looked into that girl and apparently she thinks very highly of herself. She's probably a very popular girl, and if word goes out that Sehun declined an offer from her to go out somewhere rumours will start to spread, and I don't know about you guys but I think our little group should be on the down low through out our whole 'visit' here." Luhan explains and everyone nodded meaning they agreed.
"You're really good at converting to the human life, Luhan." Chanyeol says, looking at Luhan pretty surprised.
"My nation specialises on reading people, this is just a walk in the park to me." Luhan explains before putting his backpack on his back.
"Let's go to the house and talk about things, we have to discuss hat we're going to do." Junmyeon says seriously, already starting to walk out of the classroom.
As the group of boys were leaving the classroom, a teacher called out to them from behind. "Boys, can you stop for a moment." The teacher says, looking at the boys seriously.
All the boys stopped in their tracks, Baekhyun lightly swearing at himself as another person stopped them from getting home.
All the boys turned around to face the teacher, and the teacher questions "is Minseok with you?"
Minseok poked his head out from the other, taller boys in front of him and says a small "yes?"
"I'd like to talk to you for a bit, do you have a moment to come with me?" She asks, looking at him like she was giving him a welcoming smile.
"Just meet us at the house later, okay?" Junmyeon says and Minseok nodded before walking up towards the teacher, a bit worried about what she had to talk with him about.
The teacher brought Minseok into the teachers office, and inside the teachers office there was a spare room. She brought Minseok inside there so she could talk to him in private and closed the door behind them as they entered the room.
She sat down on a chair inside the room and motioned for Minseok to do the same. As Minseok sat down in the chair in front of her, he sat down with his back straight and held his hands together tightly. He tried not to shake to show he was scared. He was trying to control his powers so it wouldn't become so cold in the room.
The teacher adjusted the shall she was wearing since it was becoming a bit chilly in the room but questions "Minseok, is everything alright?"
"Why do you ask?" He asks in a small voice.
"Well I've noticed that in English today when we were doing group projects you didn't want to work with anyone, you didn't help your group at all. Even in the introduction today at the beginning of the day it looked like you just froze up there. Also with the other transfer students you don't look so comfortable with all of them. I notice you tend to shake a lot, and you're very anxious...is everything alright?"
"Alright...yes, everything is alright, I'm fine." Minseok says in a quick, faint tone. Not wanting to be questioned by the teacher anymore.
"Minseok I think something is wrong, I wanted to call your parents and maybe see if they took you to see someone, but just didn't put it on your medical paper work when you entered the school." She asks, looking at him with the same concerned expression on her face.
"No! Don't call my parents!" Minseok says, looking up at the teacher and practically shouting that. That was probably the first time he looked at his teacher in the eyes. Once he realised he had shouted, he looked back down into his lap and started playing with his fingers. He didn't know who would pick up if she decided to call his 'parents.'
The teacher raised one eyebrow to Minseok's different response and questions "is something going on at home?"
"No, nothing is going on at home..." Minseok answers, starting to shake even more, the room becoming more colder by the second.
The teacher rubbed her arms a bit before answering "Minseok I need to know these things, I just want to make sure that you feel comfortable."
"I do feel comfortable."
"Here, I'll make a deal with you. If you promise me to see our school guidance counsellor every day after school I won't call your parents." The teacher explains in a smile which just made Minseok confused because he had no idea on what a counsellor was.
"What do I talk about with the counsellor?"
"About anything, how your day was at school, how you're feeling, anything you want. Are you okay with that?" She asks and Minseok nodded meaning yes.
"Good, I just want you to not be so tense, okay Minseok?" She asks while getting up, rubbing Minseok's shoulder to comfort him a bit, but when she touched Minseok, he felt ice cold. She quickly pulled her hand back feeling how cold Minseok was and questions "Minseok are you okay, why are you so cold?"
"No reason, I'm just sensitive to the cold." He explains before getting up and leaving the room.
Meanwhile back with the group of boys, they all just got back home and were deciding on what they were going to do. They all sat around the living room and were trying to decide their plan for the night.
"The party doesn't start until around midnight, meaning we'll probably be at his house when the solar eclipse happens. If that's so, we all have to meet up when it happens and see what goes down when it does." Kris explains.
"What do we even do when we're at Seokjin's house, what're we trying to find?" Kyungsoo questions, looking at everyone around the circle that they had formed.
"Do you think our government told us what we had to find to make it easier for us? All we know is we need to try finding documents about our ability shit and try finding where they're experimenting on our people. Anything that has to do with us, we take." Junmyeon answers, looking at everyone seriously.
"What do you think they do to the people who get experimented on? Open their heads and look inside their brains?" Baekhyun asks, sounding disgusted just talking about it.
"Can you shut up?!" Kyungsoo asks, raising his voice in anger while looking at Baekhyun.
"I was just asking dude, we're going to end up finding out at one point anyway." Baekhyun says in an offended tone for being yelled at.
Kyungsoo rolled his eyes before getting up from where he was sitting down on the couch and leaving the room to go into his bedroom.
"I think Kris and I should become best friends with Seokjin though." Luhan explains, looking at everyone else.
"Why us?" Kris asks.
"You introduced yourself as a former caption of the basketball team at your old school. Since he and his group of friends are on the basketball team right now, that gives you an advantage if you can get onto the team. I'll try becoming close to him too, just so that I can read him and see if he knows anything about what's going down with his dad and that whole situation." Luhan explains and everyone nodded agreeing with Luhan.
Jongin looked at the clock which was hanging on the wall and asks "so are we going to get ready for this party, or what?"
"Yeah, let's get ready." Yixing says in a groan while standing up from where he was sitting.
"This is going to be an interesting night." Jongdae says to himself in a faint tone before walking into his own bedroom to get ready for the party.
