Letter

"Hunny we can't make Grey go" Grey's mother demands, looking at her husband with a serious expression on her face.

"If the government says he needs to- then he has to go, we have no choice but to send him." His father answers, taking the paper from Grey's mother's hand and looking at it himself.

"Make me go where?" Grey questions, overhearing his parents arguing with each other to make him wake up from his slumber.

When Grey spoke up, both his parents turned their heads in his direction and had sorrowful expressions on their faces. Grey's mother couldn't even look at his face for a full minute before tears started to form in her eyes. She turned her head away from Grey while biting her bottom lip, to hold in the tears that wanted to rush down her cheeks.

Grey noticed the paper in his fathers hand and questions "what's going on?"

Grey's father followed his sons eyes to see he was staring at the paper he was holding. He let out a big breath of air before saying "Grey, could you sit down for a moment, we have something to tell you."

Grey obediently listened to his parents, walking to the dining room where their table was to sit down. Grey's mother and father sat down across from him but his mother continued to not face him. She looked down at the table instead.

Grey's father placed the piece of paper he was holding in his hand in front of him on the table for Grey to see. Grey stared at the paper but didn't read it. He saw the official government stamp on it and assumed "are we getting kicked out of our house or something?"

"No, we're not getting kicked out of our house...the government needs you." His father says in a serious tone, looking into Grey's eyes sternly.

Grey had a confused expression on his face, curious onto why they needed him. "Why do they need me for? I didn't do anything illegal, well I don't think I have." Grey says in a chuckle to tease the serious atmosphere.

His parents didn't even giggle which made Grey just frown and feel bad at himself for trying to brighten up the atmosphere. "The government needs you because they want you go to go earth." His father says in the same serious tone, he started to sound like a robot with how he was talking.

"They want me to go to earth, what but why, why me?!" Grey questions, his eyes opened wider in shock and he was starting to shake in fear. He wasn't the best to cope with frightful things, and the people who go to earth usually never return to their home planet. Everyone just assumes they're dead. When people are given a letter to say they're going to earth, it's basically a death letter.

"We don't know that either, but they want you to be the representative for our nation." His father continues to explain in an upset tone, the more he talked about it, the more it sounded like he was about to cry.

"But...I'm not even that courageous, they should have got Polaris to do it, he's more older then me and he can use frost better then anyone in our nation! Why are they choosing me, the only thing I'm good at, is school...I'm not good at using our ability!" Grey questions in fear.

"Grey you need to calm down, they obviously chose you for a reason and you need to accept it as a thank you. You have some sort of potential that the government would want, if you didn't, why would they have chosen you?" His father explains, trying to calm Grey down from getting more scared then he already was.

Grey's mother finally brought her hand up and overlapped one hand on top of Grey's. "Grey, there's nothing your father or I can do about this...if we could tell them not to take you we would, but you know we can't go against their wishes. Grey, you have to promise me to survive, when you go to earth you need to survive and come back to us. I want to be able to see my little Grey again" his mother pleads, tears finally pouring down her cheeks.

Gray started to tear up with her and nodded meaning he would, he couldn't let any words come out of his mouth, or it was more like his voice wouldn't come out. It was like he went mute and couldn't talk.

His father then continues to explain "it doesn't say in the letter why you're going to earth and why they needed a representative from our nation, so you have to ask them when you get there. It says in the note that we have to bring you as soon as possible, as soon as we open this letter and read what's inside it, we have to bring you there. They said not to bring anything with you."

Gray looked down at what he was wearing to see he was still in his pyjamas. "At least let me get changed first" he suggests, standing up while saying that.

"Okay, get changed and we'll drive you to the location they gave us. It'll be a twenty hour long car ride...so I suggest you hurry." His father explains and Grey nodded, running to his bedroom to get changed into different clothing.

"We-we can't just let them take him like this, going to earth is basically death penalty. Grey isn't strong enough to go out there alone yet" his mother explains, sobbing while looking at her husband with pleading eyes like he could do something.

"I know....it'll be okay hun, it'll be okay" he says, bringing his wife in for a hug, hugging her tightly while rubbing her back.

Once Grey was done getting changed they all went into their car and drove to the location which was on the letter.

The car drive was long and boring, and because Grey couldn't bring anything, he had nothing to distract him on the way there.

When they finally did get to the building, it was a big, long building which was over fifty stories high. It was in the neutral area. The neutral area is a huge place, so big it could be as big as a country. It was a place where no specific nation lived. This area was just a government area.

Grey looked at the building and then looked at his parents who were both sitting in the front of the car. Before they could even process everything and get out of the car, two men in tuxedo's walked up to the car and knocked on Grey's window.

Grey's father rolled down his window instead and asks "can my wife and I come inside the building as well?"

"No one other then the representative can come inside the building." One of the men explain, he had a low deep voice that sounded very intimidating.

Grey's father unlocked the car and all three of them got out. Grey walked up to his parents to say his last goodbye's which felt like a dream. One moment he was sleeping in bed and the next he's about to go to earth where he might never see his parents ever again, he might even die for that matter.

Grey hugged his mother and father tightly one last time. His mother started to sob again feeling his son in her embrace. She kissed his forehead before saying "Grey please be safe, take care of yourself."

"I will" Grey says to his mom, smiling at her to try and make her seem like everything was going to be okay, but he was inwardly shaking in fear, scared of what might happen.

"Come on, we don't have time to waste" the other man who hadn't talked yet says in a serious tone, Grey could have sworn he sounded a bit angry as well.

"Okay I'm coming...bye mom, bye dad I love you." Grey says, waving goodbye to them before turning around and walking towards the building with both men.

Grey could still hear his mothers faint sobs in the distance before leaving them and entering the building to see what the government had waiting for him.

Hey guys, I'm guessing you guys know who Grey is already if you know who has each power in EXO, if you don't then you'll find out who it is next chapter because that's when he gets his name. Don't worry the fan fiction won't be focused on him the whole time, I just used Grey as an introduction into the whole thing. I've wanted to post this fan fiction for I don't know how long, I'm finally posting it, thank you for reading, it means a lot.
