A New Student and A New Problem

You yawned as you walked towards school. It was too early and you stayed up too late. Some thugs decided to try to rob a store which lead to you beating them and the cops chasing you around before you stopped another crime and, it was just a long night. Luckily Sanders helped you out a bit. He had dinner ready when you came home and cooked a very delicious breakfast.

"Sanders is a god I need but do not deserve." You said to yourself.

You streached out a bit to relax your muscles which were still sore. Matt was walking by you but wasn't paying you much mind. He was looking at the news feed.

"So what's the word?" You asked trying to look over his shoulder.

"Well, your late night exports made some headlines. Good for you on that. There's also some SHCU statement I doubt you care for. The Campus is welcoming a new wave of students which is cool. Oh! And the Mayor is under investigation for possible involvement with the Family." He read off.

You laughed a bit.

"So they do read my letters. That's nice." You said proud of yourself.

"Yeah I know right. Weeks of investigation finally paid off. Still can't believe you snuck into the station and leave that evidence. You're getting good at this stealth stuff." Matt commented.

The two of you turned the corner to see the large school. It was a public school but it wasn't too bad. It definitely wasn't New Marrow Academy. No, this was New Marrow High.

"Come on. I don't want to be late again." Matt said.

You nodded and followed him to first period. Economics. God damn economics. You sucked at this class. And math. And P.E. Yeah sucking at P.E was kind weird considering, you know.

You took your seat by the window and waited for class to start. Matt was still on his phone looking at the reports of your work last night. Finally the bell rang and the teacher walked in holding his papers. He set them down and smiled at the class.

"Good morning students. Let's make this a good day today. I have a surprise for all of you."

'Please don't let it be a pop quiz.'

"We have a new student!"

Your head popped up at this. You looked at Matt who shrugged. The school's records didn't say anything about a new student.

Yes. You and Matt hacked into the school's records. There was a bomb threat and the two of you used it to track down the student responsible. He and Ghost had a chat before he turned himself in. Just a misunderstood kid in a tough spot.

"Everyone please welcome Lisa Wood."

From the door came a girl your age. You could've sworn, no. No it couldn't be her. It wasn't possible. But she did look just like...

"Y/N."

You quickly returned to reality at the touch of Matt's hand on your shoulder. You got another look at the girl and realized that while they looked similar, they didn't look identical.

"You good man?" Matt whispered.

You nodded and shrugged off his hand gently.

"Yeah. I'm fine."

Matt let it be but he saw it to. He knew. He saw her to. Everyone greeted her as a whole except for the two of you. You noticed that she was looking at the two of you. Even though she was smiling she had a almost untrustworthy vibe to her.

She ended up taking a seat behind you and even though you weren't looking, you knew she was looking at you. Suddenly your phone went off. You watched until the teacher turned around and you pulled it out.

Crime Alert: Heist In Progress

"Shit." You whispered.

You raised your hand and the teacher noticed.

"Do you have a question Mr. Jones?" He asked.

You hesitanted a bit.

"Can I go to the bathroom?"

He gave you a stern look.

"Again? It seems like everyday you go. So no. You may not." He said crossing his arms.

'Desprite times'

"Please?! I'm on my period!" You blurted out.

The entire class burst into laughter as you blushed in embarrassment. The teacher shook his head.

"Why don't you just go." He suggested.

"Good idea." You said.

You grabbed your bag and began to walk out.

"Why do you need your bag?" The teacher asked.

Without stopping you shrugged.

"Tampons?"

You left the classroom and bolted to the upstairs door. As you made your way through the city now as Ghost, you kept you eye on your GPS to track down the place where the heist was taking place.

"Now who the hell is it this time? The Family? A new villain. God please let it be the Family." You prayed.

Once you arrived you pearched on a ledge to get a good look at the street below. Cops surrounded the bank, guns drawn, and a Crypt Control unit was there.

"Crap. This must be serious. If there's a Crypt in there..."

You were interrupted when a sudden burst of energy blew through the roof leaving a large hole.

"Ok. There is a strong crypt in there. Holy hell."

You looked at the cops once again and sighed.

"Guess I'll have to sneak in so they don't get me. That'll be bad."

You looked around for another way in before you looked back at the large hole.

"Screw it. Not the first time I've jumped into a dangerous and possibly life threatening situation blind." You told yourself.

You took a few steps back before you ran towards the ledge. As you reached the edge you jumped off and shot out your wrist hook. It connected on a building across from you and you used your momentum to swing yourself over the bank. The cops spotted you and shook their heads.

"God damnit. It's the Ghost again." One said.

"Should we just let it play out?" Another asked.

The commissioner shook his head.

"We can not tolerate him any longer men. We must think of a plan now!"

Once the Crypt Control soldiers nodded and left the Commissioner turned back to his men.

"Just let him do his thing. He'll have a better control over the situation than these CC asshats." He ordered.

Everyone agreed and got back into position. Meanwhile you had just landed on the roof of the building and looked in. There were no civilians thankfully but there was one person inside.

"Is that the crypt? It's got to be right?" You asked yourself.

You decided to make your entrance and jumped in. You landed swiftly and gently so you didn't hurt yourself but you were loud enough to get her attention.

"Hey there. I don't think we've met. Let me introduce myself. I'm...."

She stopped you with a smile.

"I know you. You're the Ghost. Everyone seems to talk about you." She said.

Her voice sent chills down your spine. You laughed regardless.

"Well you know me. Can I get your name cutie?" You asked.

She placed her hands on her hips.

"I'm Emily."

You crossed your arms.

"Cool. Now are you going to turn yourself in peacefully or do I have to fight you? Just so you know, I don't like fighting girls. I feel bad afterwards. Even if you do kick my ass, I will feel bad." You stated.

Her smile faded for a moment before returning.

"I'm afraid I can't. If it was just the police or even you I would. But I can't if the Crypt Control is part of the deal." She stated.

You tilted your head.

"And why is that?" You asked.

She rolled up her sleeve to reveal a tattoo of numbers.

"Because they will kill me."
