Leia POV

"Why didn't you tell me it was you?" Asked Karma

"Maybe I just wanted to know how you treated other people without me around." I said without looking at him

"Look at me Leia!" He said I could hear he was getting frustrated but I just rolled my eyes

"Go to sleep Captain. Let us follow your orders of keeping watch out for the first 5 or 4 hours so go to sleep." I said putting my head on Kaneki's sholder

"Lei-"

"I don't want to talk to you Karma. Go with your little right hand woman and have some fun." I said with no care at all.. I don't know how I was though. But it's like I turned off my feelings for him.

"Fuck don't you get it Leia?! I love you!" Karma yelled I looked at him and smirked

"You should of thought of that before shoving your tongue down her throat." I said and put my head back on Kaneki's shoulder 

"Leia.." He said 

"What part of I don't want to talk to you do you not understand?" I asked annoyed 

"Leia we grew up together you know me better than anyone-"

"Knew you better than anyone. People change, feelings change, life changes. Nothings stays the same Karma, no one stays the same.." I said hiding my face on Kaneki's neck

"Make him leave, I don't want to see or hear him." I told Kaneki 

"You heard her captain please go to sleep and let us do our job." Said Kaneki 

"Who the hell are you?!" Asked Karma 

"No one important now please go to sleep I won't say it again." Said Kaneki turning his head to look at Karma. I don't know what he did but Karma left without an other word.

"Thanks." I said not moving from where I was 

"No problem." He said and put his hand around my sholder

"About Mado.. well he.. killed someone I knew and came to care about with no good reason he just killed her because of what she was and left a little girl with no parents and wanted to kill the little girl as well but we all thought he was dead but apparently not." He said and looked down I looked at Kaneki 

"What are you Kaneki?" I asked him and he froze 

"I'm a monster." He said 

"You say that but you don't act like one." I said he looked at me surprised 

"You're sweet and caring, you're cute and have a heart, you think about others. You're not a monster Kaneki." I said 

"Leia.. I.. I'm a ghoul." He whispered 

"A ghoul? As in eat humans ghoul?" I asked he nodded

"I never wanted this life. I never wanted to be a ghoul and it was hard for me to accept that. But then I understood that being a ghoul wasn't as bad but the only bad thing was that we can only eat human flesh everything else just tastes so bad and human food make us weak and may even get us killed. The only human food we can actually digest is cafe.. But I don't eat human flesh." He said I looked at him

"Then what do you eat?" I asked curious

"I eat other ghouls.. It tastes like rotten meet but I can digest it and it gives me more power. That is only one of the reasons why my hair turned white." He said I nodded 

"Aren't you scared?" He asked I smiled at him

"Do I need to be?" I turned the question on him

"As I said before Kaneki I don't see you as a monster, and what different are humans if they kill animals to feed on them and some times just to take their skin away to do coats and shit. I think humans are the biggest monsters in this planet." I said he looked at me still surprised at my words but he stayed quiet. We stayed in a comfortable silence for a while.

"What happened with you and Karma?" He asked out of no where I sighed 

"Me and him used to be best friends we grew up together. I had feelings for him for the longest time and I kissed him the same day I left for my training. But when I came back I thought we could be together, I thought I could settle down with him and he made me believe that but I went to a mission and when I came back I went to his house to tell him that we were all meeting for our normal 'training' or 'test' to see how strong I've gotten over the years but I expected to see him alone.. how wrong was I to think that. He was with who we know as Bonny, he was on top of her kissing her and they both were on their underwear so you know what they were about to do. That's when I started thinking of going there again and I did. I ran away for two months almost three and now here we are." I said 

"But he still said he loves you." He said 

"Like I told him, he should of thought of that before doing what he did." I said  

"You can't expect him to wait for you for so long without anything." He said 

"I waited for him Kaneki. I never saw a guy as more than a friend or just a human being. He could of waited for me." I said hugging my knees 

"He's still with her anyway meaning he said what he said just for the sake of saying it." I said putting my head on my knees but put my mask back on 

"I won't get in the way of that girl's happiness even if it means giving up my own." I whispered to myself as I felt tears on my face I need to let him go and be free. I can't just come back and ruin everything for them. I felt more tears coming to my eyes and I sobbed as soon as the sob left my lips I felt arms around me meaning Kaneki was hugging me as I hugged him as well

"Don't hide your feelings Leia." Whispered Kaneki hugging me closer
