- 6: Fear -
<Azuki's House...>
We all ran inside of my house, shutting and locking the door behind us. "Phew..." I sighed, flopping onto the floor with a thud.
"Darkrai, Haruka, what are the two of you doing here?" Lunala asked, still surprised. "We've decided to go on vacation." Haruka smiled. "And help you guys with the cults. Not that you guys aren't strong or anything, but..." Darkrai added. "Why was this girl in a shield, Lunala?" He asked.
"She hadn't been taught how to fight, because we were searching for other chosen pairs at the time..." Lunala looked down. "Looks like Solgaleo's chosen knows how to aid in battle. I suggest you teach her a few things, too." He said.
"What's your name?" Haruka keeled down. "Azuki." I said, getting up off of the floor. "I'm Haruka." She smiled, standing up as well.
"Alright. Azuki, do you have a backyard?" Lunala asked, probably wanting to train me. "No. Even if I did, those cultists are going to be searching the whole city for us." I said worriedly.
"Don't worry about it! We can kick their asses anyways!" Aaron grinned. "Speaking of fighting, how the hell was I weakened back there?" Solgaleo said, crossing his arms as he leaned against the wall.
"That big guy you were fighting had odd gauntlets. This is just a theory, but I think that those gauntlets drain legendary Pokemon's strength and bestow that stolen strength to the wearer." I spoke, shutting the curtains. Haruka shut the lights off. It was still daytime, so some light had shone through my dark blue curtains.
I walked upstairs, shut the lights off, and closed the curtains as well. I sat down on the couch, trying to relax. I had been anxious ever since we had escaped Alaine and her Cultists.
What if they find us?
What if we aren't strong enough?
What if I die?
Scary questions littered my thoughts. I hadn't realized that I had started tearing up. "Hey, you okay?" Aaron asked, sitting next to me. "Huh?" I asked, no longer zoned out. "Y-yeah..." I said, looking down.
"It's nothing to be worried about. You just got caught by a stronger cult right off the bat, that's all." Darkrai said, as Haru nodded. Haruka peeked through the curtains, then shut them. "How's it look?" Solgaleo asked.
"They're visiting people's houses. Azuki, Aaron, go upstairs and lock the Windows. We'll lock the ones down here. Be very careful not to make any noise." Haruka ordered, as we all nodded.
"How many houses away are they?" Lunala whispered. "Two. So we need to be quick." Haruka replied. Aaron and I crept up the stairs. "You're shaking." Aaron snickered. "Shh!" I shushed. We locked all of the windows upstairs.
We crept downstairs. "You guys get the windows?" Darkrai whispered, as we both nodded.
Suddenly, we heard a loud pounding on the door. My heart skipped a beat once they pounded on the door. Haruka held a finger to her lips, signaling for us to make no sound whatsoever. "HEY!" They pounded on the door even louder.
They knocked three more times, and then they started to tap on the windows. Me and Aaron were sitting below a window, go figure. Aaron ducked his head, and pushed my head down. We soon heard Alaine speak.
"They aren't here, let's move on." She shouted, as we heard them walk away. "Phew." We all sighed in relief. "Keep the lights off still, just in case they decide to come back." Haruka smiled.
"See, that wasn't even that bad." Aaron said, as I nodded shyly. "You were scared, but there's nothing to be afraid of when you have us around." Lunala smiled, holding out her hand. I grabbed it, and she pulled me up off the ground.
I hate this.
I hate being the one with fears...
I hate the fact that I can't fend for myself like Haruka and Aaron.
It makes me feel worthless, like I can't fight or do anything to help.
I walked upstairs to my room, and shut the door behind me. My room was quite tidy. It had a dresser that was next to a mirror that had been leaning against the wall, and a lot of posters. My bed was quite plush, too.
I grabbed a book that I hadn't finished, and lay down on my bed. "Page 567... 567... Aha!" I had remembered which page I had left off on, and when I found it, I began reading.
The book had been about a demon boy and a demon girl who had been abused in their home village. They were the village's laughingstock.
One day, the girl and the boy run away together to go on an adventure to find their place in the cruel world. They master magic, and meet other friends along the way who join them on their quest.
I had been near the end of the book, and finished it without even realizing.
I looked over at my digital clock, and I realized I had been reading for an hour. '3:00p.m., huh?' I thought with a sigh. I soon heard a knock on my bedroom door.

It's really crappy, since I wasn't very good at writing at the time, but if you wanna read it... The title is "The Sky Chronicles"!
I love the cast of characters. X3
Anyways, I'll see you all in the next chapter!!! Bye bye!~
