Chapter 74 | Short, but Pleasant
When the current King of the Moonlight elves arrived in front of the two large doors that will lead them into the Great Dimensions Hall. He turned himself around to face his unlikely to be trusted companion, Karina. "It's best if you make yourself invisible. Rulers from other realms are just behind these doors." Estes advised the night elf assassin. She clearly understood what he was trying to say. If other rulers saw the King of the Moonlight elves with a night elf assassin as a companion. It'll surely make bad rumors across the globe.
Aurora fortunately quite accepted the two. And she isn't the type to gossip or tell everyone that Estes has a night elf assassin as his friend. She's luckily more of the quiet type. When Karina hugged Estes from earlier. The beings who are nearby them were probably too busy minding their own business or kept their mouth shut. Normal beings wouldn't dare spread rumors or stories about Elion's son being with a night elf. They'll most likely to taste the wrath of the previous King of the Moonlight elves for bringing up a female night elf assassin being with his son.
"One of my skills makes me invisible for a very short period of time. I have a better idea instead. I'll use Dark Glamour." Karina replied. Not certain if she can use witchcraft, but she's a mage so she can cast any spell she has learned. Dark Glamour originated from the Domain of Witches. They use Dark Glamour to make themselves look beautiful and youthful. But for Alice, she doesn't use such a thing. She already has her natural beauty.
The night elf assassin closed her eyes and softly chanted out a spell. A greenish smoke appearing around her. Cloaking her figure and emitted out blue particles. Estes watched silently as Karina's shadowed figure transformed into a dramatic appearance. The green smoke fading away to reveal her new look.
Karina's purple skin changed into a fair beige color. Her blue hair in a ponytail turning into a light ginger color that flowed down to her back. Those pale purple eyes transforming into an auburn-reddish shade that matched the tone of her lips. Estes couldn't help but look away since her outfit was quite seducing him. "You couldn't have chosen a more conservative look?" He grumbled. His eyes looking far away from Karina who was grinning at his reaction in seeing her brand new appearance. "Forgive me for showing off. But I feel very comfortable in this outfit." She walked over to him. Flipping both of her blades that transformed to match her look. "Fine, I'll forgive you just this once," Estes replied. Placing both of his hands on the surface of the large doors in front of them. Pushing them forward until it was wide enough for them to enter.
"King Sun and Prince Minotaur. It's best if you two go back to your respective realms. Vexana and Alice's bombs will be here soon to destroy this city. I'll handle this matter with my allies." Aurora spoke to the two rulers. Her cold eyes fixing itself on Argus' frozen body. She hoped that Franco and the two young adults can find a way to disarm the bombs before Bane could send it flying towards to the city. "Please release him! I promise that he still has a good side to him." Rafaela begged the ice queen. Falling to her knees as her magnificent wings collapsed down to the ground. Her sorrowful eyes directly looking at Aurora. "Fine. I shall unfreeze him. But if he does something immoral. Do not expect me to give him another chance." Aurora spoke her last sentence coldly. Lifting one of her hands and cast out an undo spell to unfreeze the fallen war angel.
Argus felt his body being released out of that damn ice of hers. He silently laughed inside. Oh, they were so foolish to his eyes. Especially the angel-Rafaela who immediately hugged him. Even though she is quite naive. This angel could be useful to him. "Rafaela..." He made his voice softer and alluring. Quickly capturing Rafaela's mind and heart. "Argus, you said my name. Do you remember now?" She smiled. Feeling her heart feel that emotion once more. Rafaela missed him so much. To be in his arms, to see his handsome smile underneath that helmet of his. To exchange a blissful kiss. "Yes, I...I remember." Argus answered. His hands gently grabbing hers. Aurora wanted to break the moment. She is aware that Argus is clearly lying, but didn't see the reason behind it. She allowed the fallen war angel to act a bit longer. Such icy eyes can see what is behind a mask full of lies. No dishonest person can survive in front of her presence. She learned that telling the truth is better than lying the hard way.
In a snowy realm. A yellow, glowing butterfly went through the window. It seemed to be a Ghost Butterfly or as commonly called as the Dream Butterfly. They say that these magical type of Butterfly can make a person's dreams wonderful, but also nightmarish. It can be summoned if you use a specific spell. But why is it here? Sakura Miko curiously watched as it gradually fled towards to Natalia. Landing on the top of her forehead.
The darkness that Natalia kept looking at and wandered around is her current dream. It was unlovely and quite unsettling, but she continue to wander aimlessly as she felt her heart melting away. Tigreal, She silently spoke his name as tears fell down towards to the edge of her face.
Natalia let herself collapse to her knees and cried it out. Cry all of her tears that has been hiding inside of her. She didn't mean to hurt him. Didn't mean to push him away. Natalia thought it would be best if she was all alone. But it wasn't. Being isolated felt horrible. She felt empty, incomplete without him.
Then she felt warm arms wrap around her. The darkness quickly fading into a beautiful scenery. A field of flowers that mostly consists of amaranth, arbutus, and coriander appeared. These three flowers all have something in common, they symbolizes love.
The sky turned bright blue as the blazing sphere of fire illuminated the shadows away. Natalia felt the cold and gently breeze kiss her fair skin. Everything felt better and more relaxing. "I do not deserve you," A deep male voice spoke. Without even turning around to see who it was. Natalia instantly found out who. It was Tigreal.
She is aware that this is all a dream. It was painful and depressing that he isn't really hugging her, but she didn't want to waste it and make it dull. Natalia turned herself around since Tigreal's grip on her is loose. She quickly wrapped her arms around him to give him a tight hug. "No, I'm the one that doesn't deserve you. I'm so sorry. For pushing you away and not realizing how much you care about me." Natalia replied. Burying her face into his chest. Feeling one of his gentle hands stroking her silver hair. "I think about you every single day, Natalia." Tigreal smiled, continuing in stroking her silky hair. Pulling her closer to him. Natalia can hear the loud beats of her heart. She didn't ever want to let him go.
Natalia lifted her head up to look at his face. He looked handsome and charming as always with that smile of his. She immediately fell into those ocean-like eyes. Allowing herself to drown in the thoughts of him. "I love you..." Natalia spoke softly like the wind. Leaning closer to him for a blissful kiss. Even though it was a dream. She wanted to place her lips onto his.
She was about to kiss his lips, until he suddenly faded into a flock of yellow butterflies. He was no more by her side. Natalia felt her heart crash towards to the ground and become endless fragments. "Tigreal!" Natalia yelled his name loudly as tears quickly rushed out of her eyes. The field of flowers began to wither and the blue sky became darker as stormy clouds appear. "You've lost me, Natalia." Tigreal ghostly spoke. His words echoing inside Natalia's mind as she cried. The blissful moment didn't last for a long period of time. It turned into a bitter nightmare.
Suddenly she sprung out of her sleep. Her cheeks wet from crying and her heart beating rapidly. Her dream woke her up. She was glad that it ended, it could've turned worse. The thoughts of Tigreal still haunting her. But at least a dream of being in his arms comforted her.
The yellow butterfly that was on Natalia's forehead was already gone. It teleported back to the summoner who was inside a bedroom in the Castle of Doom. The Butterfly gracefully fled towards to Tigreal.
The warrior lifted his hands, allowing the Butterfly to land on one of his fingers. Freya opened her eyes, stopping herself from recalling the past. Her eyes gazing at the Butterfly. "How did that get in here?" She asked. It was her first time in seeing a Dream Butterfly. So she thought it was just a normal one that dwells in her garden back at home. "It was for my fair maiden. Unfortunately, when a Dream Butterfly gives the dreamer a beautiful dream, but when it leaves, it gives a nightmare." Tigreal replied. Watching the Butterfly as it faded into nothingness and then quietly mumbled: "I hope the sweet dream was beautiful, my love."
