Fire

I need some fresh air because it was polluted by people who looks like a bunch of garbage. I just found myself in the garden, and of course because I was the only one who knows the school grounds, they followed me. I was about to close my eyes to rest when I felt the ground shake a bit. I diverted by gaze to Kendrick. I know it wasn't a normal earthquake. 

"I felt the aura of the Sub Earth Elemental User," he said and started to roam his eyes looking for someone, so as the others.

Should I look for it too? Nah, I'm not their babysitter anyway, they can handle it. I sit in the big rock facing them and was about to eat my precious grapes when Lune appeared before my eyes.

"We are finding someone yet you're still eating?" I raised an eyebrow.

"And where did you get those grapes? Pahingi nga! Wag kang madamot!" I took the grapes away from his direction. What makes him think I'll share it with him? How delusional. 

"Go make your own." I turned left to shift my position and continued to eat my grapes.

"So you made that?" He smirked. Oh, crappy mouth!

"I mean I brought it in the cafeteria." To avoid further questions, I made myself look even more cold and he just shrugged his shoulders as a surrender.

"Damot mo naman. Kahit isang grapes lang puhlease?" He pleaded with his puppy eyes look. I just stared at him with a black expression on the face.

Those eyes, can I just stab it?

"This is mine." He was about to protest when I already stood up and walked passed him. Before he could even rant of how greedy of a person I am I took a small branch of grapes and shoved it inside his mouth hoping that he's choke to death.

"Where is he?" I ask Kendrick who looks confused.

"The aura was gone," he answered.

"Let's go get the dorm keys and numbers in the office." I walked away not minding if they followed me or not.

It's no fun to be here not unless if there was a wild brawl going on around. I will be thrilled to watch. As I was wondering, how long are we going to stay here? I thought they can find them in just a couple of days, but it looks like we'll be staying here for weeks. As I can see it, they must be wary not to use their legends. But if that's the case, it'll be hard to trace them.

I opened the door to the office and I soon as I step inside, an accumulated total of three daggers went flying in our direction. I raised my left hand and caught it in between my fingers. I tilt my head, only to see the principal who was crossing his legs looking at me with amusement in his eyes.

"Here are your dorm numbers and keys. Enjoy your stay." I payed no attention to his menacing smile and took the keys on the table. 

I look at the room number written in the keys and I sigh when I realized I would be in the same room with Sena, Kylla, and Shandice. And there I thought I could finally rest in peace. How unfortunate.

Kendrick

"Hoy, Onyx! Nasan na si Xai?" Tanong ko kay Onyx na busy sa kakapanood ng Dora the Explorer. Para namang hindi niya ako narinig.

"Where is the mountain?" Rinig na rinig ko pa ang tanong ni Dora mula sala hanggang kusina. Nagluluto kasi ako ng pagkain since yang lalaking nanonood ng TV dyan eh sabog palagi pag siya ang nagluto. The kitchen would always be on fire with him around.

"Hoy Dora! Tinatanong mo pa kung saan yung mountain eh nasa likod mo na nga! Tanga neto!" Inis na inis niyang sigaw.

"Is this how mortals teach their children? This is so stupid! How is this even considered teaching? All she ever do is go adventure without even telling her parents!" Napasapo na lang ako ng noo sa pinaghihimutok ni Onyx.

"Para kang uto dyan Onyx! Hala, hanapin mo si Xai! Kakain na bilis!" Pagmamadali ko sa kaniya. Pambihira kasi kanina pa 'yan nanonood ng TV. Si Xai naman ay parang hilo a'ata 'yon kaya baka nakatulog. 

Biglang bumukas ang pinto ay may iniluwa roon na lalaking may magulong buhok. Oh, yes I forgot to say. There are 4 people inside the room, so that means we will have another room mate. 

"Who the hell are you?" Gulat niyang tanong. Wasn't he aware that he had new roommates? Or was he weirded out seeing a person with a different hair color? 

"Oh, we are your new roommates." I awkwardly laughed. Sakto namang bumaba si Onyx mula sa hagdan.

"Anong tinatawa-tawa mo, Ken? Naaaning ka na naman?" Napatingin naman sa kaniya ang lalaking kakarating lang at napansin ko ang pangungunot ng noo ni Onyx.

"Bro, hindi tayo talo ha? Straight ako!" Napaubo naman ito sa inusal ni Onyx kaya napa-iling na lang ako.

"Don't worry, I'm straight. Your hair is just unusual. It reminded me of Pikachu." He said brushing his hair and biting his lips.

"I'm Icelle pala. Icelle Rodriguez." Pagpapakilala niya.

"Kendrick ng pala Ice!" I introduced myself napaatras naman siya nang makitang may hawak akong kutsilyo.

"Onyx pare!" They shaked hands.

"Alam niyo na naman siguro kung saan ang mga kwarto niyo 'di ba?" Tanong nya habang naglakad patungo sa isang kwarto habang kami ay nakasunod sa kaniya.

"Ah Ice kwarto mo ba dun sa dulo?" Takang tanong ni Onyx.

"Yeah" Ice answered shortly.

"Huh? Eh bakit duon natulog si Xai?" Agad napalingon saamin si Ice. Taranta itong tumakbo patungo sa kwarto niya habang nagmumura. Sumunod kami sa kaniya pero hindi kami nakapasok sa kuwarto niya dahil agad niya rin naman itong sinara. He even locked it.

"What's wrong with him?" Nagkibit balikat na lang ako. 

What a weird guy.

Xai

"Lune I think I'm starting to like you." I smlied.

"Buti ka pa gusto lang pero ako. . .mahal na kita." I saw how she twitched her lips to smile at me.  I took a step closer as I reached out for her face. We were about to kiss when reality slapped me and I woke up from my dream.

Naimulat ko kaagad ang mata ko nang makarinig ng malakas na kalabog. Napahinga ako nang maluwag habang sinusubukang pakalmahin ang sarili ko.

"Who the fuck are you?!" Singhal ko sa lalaki na gumising sa akin. Tinaasan niya naman ako ng kilay kaya mas lalong kumunot ang noo ko.

"Okay ka lang ba, dude?" Lumapit siya sa akin habang tinitingnan kung ayos lang ba ako. What could possibly happen when I'm just sleeping?

"Ano ba ang nangyari? At sino ka ba?" He stared at me for a second as if he was suspicious of something. 

"A-ah wala. . .ano kasi- ahm...kwarto ko 'to, doon sa kabila kwarto mo." Aniya habang pasulyap-sulyap pa rin sa akin.

"Ah ganun ba? Sige, dude. . . Nahilo kase ako sa por- "Naitikom ko naman ang bibig ko. "I mean nahilo ako sa byahe." Tumango-tango naman ito sa akin.

"Nga pala Icelle pangalan ko." Tumango nalang ako at nagpakilala sa kaniya bago siya lampasan. Subalit hindi pa man ako tuluyang nakakaalis ay muli na naman siyang nagtanong sa akin.

"Aren't you feeling any cold? Are you not sick?" I look back. I'm a Fire Elementalist, I will never feel cold. 

"No." Maikli kong sagot bago buksan ang pinto upang lumabas. Bumungad kaagad sa akin si Kendrick at Onyx sa pinto.

"Anong nangyari sa loob dre?" Sabay akbay saakin ni Onyx. Hindi ko siya pinansin lalo na't naalala kong nadistrobo ang napakaganda kong paniginip.

"Ah, wala may pagkain na ba kayong niluto?" I asked when I heard my stomach rumbled. 

Narinig ko ang mahinang pagmura ni Kendrick. Tumakbo ito sa kusina kaya napabuntong hininga na lang ako. I'm so sleepy and tired. Darn it.

Fire

What the hell is this? It's already 12 in midnight and they're still talking. Someone's trying to sleep! When will they shut up?

"Ano na kayang nangyayari sa Academy natin?" Sena asked as I can imagine he was playing with her pillows.

"I don't know but sana mapadali ang paghahanap natin!" I grimaced upon Kylla's wishful thinking. Yeah right, I really hope so. They even dragged me into this.

"Oo nga! Kanina parang naramdaman lang ni Kendrick yun! Tas nawala!" I rolled my eyes. Cera's voice is as loud as ever.

"Tahimik ni Fire noh? Siguro tulog na siya." How I even dreamed to be sleeping by now if it wasn't because of the three of you Kylla.

"Oo nga! Madaya! Sya madaling makatulog pero tayo hindi!" I released a deep breath. 

Relax Fire, just close your eyes and force yourself to sleep. Don't entertain your irritation that might burn the whole univesity. Just. . . just chill. I'm pretty sure they will shut up later. I just have to be more patie-

"KYAAAAHHHH!!! MAY SPIDER SA KAMA KOOOO!!!"

My last remaining thread of patience was cut off when Cera screamed on top of her lungs. I stood up and turned on the lights only to find them jumping off their beds over a small spider. 

"Just freeze that insect Kylla for fuck's sake." I warned her. A couple of minutes later, I was thankful they moved on from the spider and went back to sleep. 

They must've understood I was barely holding on. Just when I was about to drift to sleep, I felt someone poking my arm.

"Errr~ Fire" I harshly opened my eyes and glared at her. 

What is it again this time?!

"Can you tell me a bedtime story? I can't sleep. Please!" Cera pleaded.

Seriously? A bedtime story? I bit the skin inside my left cheek. And that hit me. Yeah, she can't sleep if you won't tell her stories especially when she's in a new environment. I don't know what kind of disease she's carrying. Imagine a person who can't sleep unless if you tell her some stories.

What kind of story should I tell her? I don't even know one . . .

"Once upon a time there was a guy named Jack Shit, he is the only son of Awe Shit which married Oh Shit. In return Jack Shit married Noe Shit. They have six kids. Hollie Shit, Giva Shit , Fulla Shit , Bull Shit and the twins Deep Shit and Dip Shit" I paused...what kind of story am I telling? A made up one...I told you I don't know any stories...

"After 15 years Jack and Noe Shit got divorce. She married Ted Crap and became Noe Shit Crap, In meanwhile Dip Shit married Lotta Shit. In the end, Fulla Shit and Giva Shit married the happens brothers, it was a double wedding a.k.a Shit happen wedding" I rolled my eyes again when I heard them snoring.

I scoffed when that actually made them sleep. What's up with these women? Can they be even more normal?

Hours passed and I didn't noticed it was already morning as I woke up and took a morning walk. It's already my habit and I didn't bother waking the others. I went down the stairs and started roaming in the university grounds. 

Same ambiance. Still full of people who see themselves as diamonds and golds in the society where in fact they were just a bunch of scrapes and trashes hidden in their parents pants and skirts. 

"Oh ehhm! Diba sya ang nagpahiya kay Miss Melody kahapon?"

"Ahh. Oo nga! Bagay din yun sa malandi nating teacher yan tuloy napalitan dahil umabot sa dean!"

"But that girl a make bangga to Princess Halley yesterday!"

"Lakas naman ng loob niya! Porke may kasama siyang mga hot papas kahapon!"I scoffed. . .Hot Papas? What an stupid and insignificant word!

"Pero in fairness ha! Maganda sya!"

"Pero alam mo napaka gwapo nung kasama nya kahapon noh!? Lalo na yung red headed guy!"

"I agree!"

Did she just say red headed guy? Is she talking about Lune?

"Para ngang mag couple yung red headed guy saka yang girl oh! Kase parehas sila ng kulay ng buhok!" I knotted my forehead.

Couples? The hell is with that? It's not because we had the same color of hair it doesn't mean we're couples!

"Hey you!" I stopped when I find the girl's name familiar.

"Why aren't you with your bitch friends? And those handsome guys?" Am I a new hired police to look for them? She just blocked my way to ask where are those handsome guys she's referring about.

Should I just burn her hair?

"Why not ask the Google Halley?" I mocked and smiled at her. 

She's planning to make my day worst? Well, her day will be more worst than mine, trust me. SHe frowned.

"You should respect me! I am the Gangster Princess!" Gangster what? 

"A princess? Who cares about the princess when you're not even a queen." I replied which made her frown even more. She raised her left hand, about to stop me when someone from behind me stopped her.

"Try to touch her even once and you're gonna burn alive!" When did this guy came over me? I didn't even asked for his help.

"I will not touch her unless if you'll become my boyfriend." Ladies and gentleman we don't only have a delusional woman here, but also a demanding and desperate peace of shit. 

"Your name was Halley, right? I think I know your surname." She smiled proudly.

"Yeah everyone knows my surname! Its Ba-" I cut her off.

"Is it Parrot?" I innocently asked which made her eyebrows went heavenwards.

"No! It's Bartolome!" She corrected.

"Oh? I thought it was Parrot? HalleyPARROT?" I laugh mentally when a realization hitted her that I just made fun with her name. 

She took a dagger from her belt and was about to attack me when someone stopped her, but this time, it wasn't Lune. It was some guy.

"Stop it Halley." He glared at her. His voice was full of authority as he spoke. I look at him as I scanned him from head to foot.

Here he is. . .

"I'm sorry about her behavior. " He apologized using his not-so cold voice and expressionless face.

"Who are you?" I asked him flatly. I look at his expression after I said those words and I was right, he stiffed. 

"I-I'm Icelle Rodriguez ." He offered his hand and I smirk. 

How can they not notice him? Are they blind?
