{Chapter One}
"Come on, Lia! You're gonna make us late!"
"Calm down, its a club open 'till like three in the morning." Rosalia smiled to her panicking friend. She was face to face with herself in the mirror, her copper like eyes shone with concentration as she applied the last stroke of deep red matte lipstick before smoothing them out. Thick lashes lined them with a thin black line of eyeliner on top of brown smokey blended powder. Her high cheekbones grace with brown blush and thick but gentle eyebrows.
"Yeah, well. I like to get the most out of the night, so hurry."Her friend rushed her while making sure she had everything in her designer handbag. "Plus the taxi will be here shortly."
"What time did you book it for?"
"Half ten."
"Half ten? Julie, what the hell?" Rosalia half yelled at her. Julie just shrugged her shoulders and grabbed the glass to her left, downing its contents causing her face to screw up in distaste. "Honestly you are ridiculous, no one will be there at this time."
"Exactly, gives us enough time to down shit to get tipsy before the real party starts," Julie told her while grabbing her arm and dragged Rosalia to her door. "Now come on, let loose."
The taxi arrived at Rosalia's house fairly shortly after and made the fifteen-minute journey to the night club which Julie had chosen for the night. Although Rosalia didn't go out much she still loved a good night out with her friends and this was long overdue. As they jumped out of the taxi they looked at the club, there was only a handful of people there and you could hear and feel the bass from the music blaring inside. Rosalia could feel the excitement grew into a storm inside her.
"Rosalia, hello." Julie snapped her fingers in front of her face, "how long was it since you last drank? Because I think those three glasses back home have sent you off already." She laughed.
"Bitch please, I can still drink you under the table." Rosalia looked her up a down in a playful way. "And love, you better watch me do exactly that tonight," Rosalia said as she took off in front of her and handed over her ID to the bouncer at the door. He checked her details before giving her a stamp and letting her pass, the same to Julie. Their first target was the bar for a drink and a couple of shots to get started. Rosalia shifted uncomfortably while standing at the bar, and Julie quickly took notice at her friend's odd behaviour.
"Lia, you alright? You seem agitated?" She yelled to be heard by Rosalia
"I feel like someone is watching me."
"Your imagining things, come on. More shots." Julie said and she did not need to persuade her as they both ordered another round and made light work of them. "Now come on, Let's dance!" Julie shouted over the music, Rosalia nodded and followed her to the middle of the dance floor where the began to dance to the beat of the song pounding through their chests. The club slowly began to fill up and by around midnight the place was packed out. Rosalia had lost Julie in the sea of people jumping and dancing away, so she made her way back to the bar. Figuring if Julie realised she was gone, this would be her first port of call.
"Hey sexy, you look hot." A man smirked to her but she smiled and nodded in thanks before turning away. "Come on now, at least let me buy the sexy lady a drink." The guys said before nodded to the bartender and asked for two drinks. As soon as they where placed down in front of them, the man placed his hand over the top of the glass and slide it over to her with a smirk.
"This is one of my favourite drinks here. Try it, and you will see why." The man said, Rosalia smirked and took hold of the glass before lifting it towards her lips. Before she knew what was happening a hand grabbed her wrist to stop it from reaching her mouth.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." A voice spoke to her, even though the music was loud and you had to shout to be heard. This man's voice was delicate yet somehow strong at the same time. His high-end British accent did not go amiss with the curves in his tone.
"What? Why the hell not?" Rosalia asked confused and slightly pissed off this person had basically taken her free alcohol off of her.
"Because he drugged it." The man said.
"How, I watched the glass the whole time."
"When he pushed the glass over to you, his hand was over the top. He held the drug between his fingers and when his hand was over your glass, he dropped it." The man said as he stared at the other guy who just tried to drug Rosalia. The man was shaking in his seat as he was unable to break his stare. "I strongly suggest that you remove yourself from here immediately and never show your face again." The man who warned her about the drug nodded to two buff looking men who easily scooped him up and carried him away.
"I guess I owe you thanks, " Rosalia said to the man who smiled back.
"It was my pleasure to be of assistance." The man smiled, his soft pink lips thinned with the giant grin. His ocean eyes sparked with violet flakes stared into her own with interested.
"Do you have a name?" Rosalia asked gently, the music was still pounding through the club, but she could somehow still hear this man clearing without shouting.
"My name is Lorenzo, but my friends call me Enzo." He smirked to her,
"So what do I call you?"
"Enzo, " he told her with a nod of his head.
"Well, Enzo, as a thank you, let me buy you a drink." Rosalia smiled waving the bartender.
"I've never had a woman buy me a drink before,"
"Well, it's time to change that," Rosalia said before buying two drinks and turning to Enzo. She took a sip at the same time as Enzo.
"So, what brings you here?" Enzo asked curiously. Rosalia turned her head to the dance floor to look for Julie, soon finding her grinding up and down some bloke on the dance floor.
"I was dragged along by my friend. But I got tired of dancing and men trying it on, so I came here for a drink." Rosalia said taking another drink, "And you know the rest from there."
"I see, well I'm glad she dragged you here." He smirked to her.
"I am too."
