3rd POV

Brimscythe fly's up before holding on a stalactites and blast lightning at them but they all scattered. Grog has his hand on the gold as lightning travel through it and shock Grog.

Pike: Grog!

Percy: Are you all right?

Grog: Um, no.

YN: Don't touch any gold, he's using it to his advantage!

Brimscythe fly's above them and blast another as they find cover. Vex shoot an explosion arrow at him but no affect.

Brimscythe: (Evil smirk.) A tickle. Let me return the favor.

Vex: Shit.

Vax pulls his sister away as it goes after them all.

Brimscythe: Fools. I'll devour you all.

Scanlan hides in cover but then his eyes widen by seeing Brimscythe behind him.

Scanlan: Pike? Pike?

He runs from the dragon blast while calling out her name until he trip. Just in time, Pike jump in and shield them with her magic shield, but the dragon overpower until he was knock back with a powerful magic. He looks back and see it was YN who used his magic.

Brimscythe: Hah, a monster hunter? You make a joke.

YN: Pike, take Scanlan and run!

Pike did as he said while Brimscythe chases him until the vines block the dragon. He fly's above to see it was Keyleth next to Percy.

Keyleth: Look out!

Keyleth pulls Percy on time before they get hit by the blast. They hide in cover as Percy tries to shoot it.

Percy: Vax, did Gilmore give you any insight on how to kill this thing, or did you two flirt the whole time!?

Vax: (Realize.) Shit. Right, right. Uh dragons are vain, arrogant, egotistical.

The dragon chases both of them from behind as they run.

Vex: I know that already. I studied them, remember?

YN: And still no way to kill it?

Vex: You're the monster hunter expert!

YN: You're the one who studied dragons than any other monsters!

Grog tries to chop him but misses as the dragon fly's up.

Pike: Doesn't matter. We can't do shit if its in the air.

While Vax hides in cover, he looks and see the dragons neck is glowing and realize something.

Vax: "Where the twin rivers meet." The neck! You see that?
 
  We have to get it on the ground. Vex, do you hear me!?

Another blast but misses and the twins ran to regroup.

Vex: Yes! This way, I've got a plan.

Scanlan: (Sarcasm.) Aw, another one?

Vex: Shut up.

Once they regroup they face the dragon again but he prepares to blast another lightning which made them run away from it.

Vex: Look, okay, for once you were right. Maybe we don't fight as one. Maybe we do what we do best.

Keyleth: What? We have no best.

YN: Aside from getting drunk.

Brimscythe lost them as they were hiding together.

YN: Okay, I think he lost us but it won't be long. What's the plan Vex?

Scanlan: What do you want us to do? Run out and yell, "Hey, dragon man, we don't know what the fuck we're doing"?

Vex said nothing but smirk and nods, but Scanlan realize and smirks as he knows what's the plan. Meanwhile, Brimscythe still fly around until he grabs on to the stalactites as he chuckles.

Brimscythe: You think you can hide in my lair?

Soon he sees everyone with their weapons, ready to fight. Grog pushes Percy away before stepping up.

Grog: Hey, taint smear!

Percy: You're in my way again, you ape.

Grog: (Angry.) What'd you call me? Maybe I'll squash you too.

Vax: Oh as if either of you could kill anything.

Brimscythe just sees them arguing each other.

Vax: A preening, peacoated peacock and witless goon.

Percy: You watch yourself, peasant.

Vex: If the three of you will shut up already and let me kill this inflated windbag.

YN: Oh what are you gonna do, give him an arrow so he can use it like a toothpick? Ya can't even aim for his eyes.

Vex: Like you got a better idea, you're the monster hunter expert.

YN: I've killed monsters more than all of you lot, killing him ain't nothin!

Brimscythe: (Interrupt them with a growls.) Kill me? I am the iron storm.

YN: Hey, we're having conversation here dumbass! Don't you have much friends than we do or something?

Brimscythe: Than you do? Ha! You are nothing but insects!

He blast lightning directly at him.

(1:00 to 2:41)

As Brimscythe charges at him. Unbeknownst to him that YN was on a large scalactites thanks to his chain to keep him attached to it. Waiting at a right moment, he cracks the stalactite before using his magic to break it.

   Letting the fall do the rest as it hits brimscythe back of his neck to pin him down until Grog finishes him by chopping his head in half.

Grog breathes heavily before looking back to the others.

Grog: Uh, is he dead.

YN landed next to the dead dragon before kicking it.

YN: Well he ain't movin. There's that.

Keyleth: (Chuckles relief.) We did that. We did that, right?

Percy: (Softly smiles.) It seems being a bunch of assholes has its merits.

YN: (Chuckles.) Assholes? We just killed a dragon, we badasses!

Grog then rips out a teeth of a dragon with his bare hands.

Scanlan: (Curious.) Souvenir?

Grog: (Scoffs.) Proof we killed the scaly turd.

Scanlan: (Smirk.) Huh. You know, you're a lot smarter than we give you credit for, Grog.

Grog: Yup, I'm a genius.

As soon as he finish his sentence, a dragon tail dropped right next to them before YN landed.

YN: All right, we can take the tail as well to eat.

Everyone just look at him with "Really?" face.

YN: What? Aren't ya at least curious to know how it taste like?

Vax: (Shrugs.) Whatever.

Suddenly the cave started to shake as ceilings begins to collapse above them.

Vax: Aw, fuck this day.

Pike: Exit strategy?

Vex: (Carrying treasure.) Run!

Vex runs ahead while everyone catches up as YN and Grog are carrying the tail. Once they made it to the portal YN pulls the tip of the tail while Grog pushes it, soon they successfully got it through as one by one goes through the portal except for Scanlan who's running with the loot.

Scanlan: Wait! The loot!

He suddenly trips and the loot fell but Keyleth grabbed him with her plants before Scanlan just grabbed a handful of loot and pulled in the portal. Keyleth went next and Vax was last but stop for the moment as he hold a silver coin, one who he gave it to the kid.

Vax: We got him, kid...

He tosses it in the cave before escaping as the ceilings collapse to the ground. Everybody made it out alive as they breathe heavily.

Keyleth: Can't believe we made it out.

Vax: We got the loot, dragon tooth and tail, and that we're alive.

YN: Man, what a day.

Percy: We should go see the council, tell them everything that happened.

Once they got out of the mansion, they head straight to the castle while Grog and YN are carrying the tail.

Keyleth: So, eating a dragon tail, do witchers eat monsters after they kill it.

YN: Nah, but I've always wanted to try a dragon. Hey, thanks for the save back there.

Keyleth: Oh, its nothing, really.

YN: No, really, witchers hardly get any help aside from each other.

Keyleth: Do you ever miss it?

YN: To be honest....I do. But being with you guys, feels nice.

Keyleth: Aw, thanks.

Time skip to the castle

Uriel: Vox Machina, for your selfless heroism, I proclaim you all Protectors of the Realm and honorary members of the council of Tal'Dorei.

Vox Machina are surprise that they are now members of the council.

Uriel: I know. I can hardly believe myself.

The council chuckles.

Percy: (Relief.) Oh, how I've missed respectability.

YN: Heh, be glad you're not a witchers.

Vex: (Interrupt.) Yes, yes, yes, that's all fine and good, but where is the-

The guard interrupted her as he brings them their reward. Scanlan, Vex, and Vax rush to their reward.

Vex: Ah, there we are.

Scanlan: (Chuckles.) Payday.

Once she opens the chest, their smiles drop as they see what they didn't expect to see.

(I died looking at their face! 😂)

All they see were keys and a scroll.

Scanlan: Keys? Parchment? Where's our reward?

Uriel: You're holding it. (Smiles.) The deed to your new keep here in Emon. We need our protectors close at hand tool, you know, protect.

This made the rest smiles to know that they have a home to live.

Scanlan: Uh-huh. Uh, hypothetically, if we sold it, how much do you think that- ow!

YN smack his head to shut up.

Scanlan: Oh, okay.

Vex grabbed the paper to read it before Vax speak.

Vax: (Smiles.) Sister, we have a home.

Vex Smiles back until Keyleth interrupted them. 

Keyleth: Wait till I tell my father. Oh, the Ashari will never believe this. (Hugs them.) I bet...

She notice Vex glaring at her.

Keyleth: I'm ruining the moment right now, aren't I? (Let's them go.) Yep, I'm just gonna go over here now.

Uriel: As protectors, you must understand that the threat is far from over. We suspect Krieg may have been part of a larger plot. As such I have arranged an important banquet to discuss the security of our realm.

   It'll be quite delightful, really. We have a wonderful cook. Perhaps they can cook dragon tail along the way.

YN: Fine, but we're taking half of the tail.

Uriel: Fair enough.

Allura: We trust you will attend. In fact, several dignitaries should be on their way as we speak. But for know why don't you make yourself at your new home.

Vex: We'll be on our way.

The guards escorted them to their new home.

YN POV

Once we're inside, we look around and some of us went to check some couple rooms and while the rest just looks around.

Vax: Man, when was the last time they clean this place?

YN: I don't know about you guys, but I'm okay like this.

Percy: Let me guess, your kind live in the ruins?

YN: Pretty much, but it was the only home we have left, away from humans.

Percy: Why's that?

YN: Its....let's just make ourselves home here.

I leave and pick a room and look inside, I see a bed and a desk with some equipments and some potions brew equipments too. Aside from cleaning require, its perfect. I remove my armor and leave it in my room.

   I look around some other place while heading outside and see a training ground. There were wooden pillars, dummies for shooting practing and some other things. This made me smile, it reminds me of how it almost look like witcher training.

   I know its been a long day, but I feel like training at the moment. I pull out my sword and begin my training.

Keyleth POV

After I got a room, I look at the window and saw that YN is training by standing on the wood and swinging his sword while stepping on one wood after another. At first I freak out that if he might fall but then I notice he seems to be calm while training.

   I head outside to the training to watch how he trains until YN looks down and sees me. He jumps down and landed near.

YN: Hey, how's the new home?

Keyleth: Oh um, its good. Yeah. You um training?

YN: Yeah, gotta keep my skills sharp for the next quest. Plus its been a while.

Keyleth: Come on, I'm sure it can wait.

YN: For you maybe, but....(Sigh.) To tell you the truth, I know that I don't know anything about this world. (Sheath his sword.) But out there, I know its filled with danger, monsters that are far stronger and dangerous. No place for kids, even when it feels safe.

  We struggle, we endure, we adapt, and we fight. That is how part of the witcher life is.

Keyleth: Oh...

I look down feeling bad but YN comforts me.

YN: But other best thing is having friends to look after each other. You guys taught me that. So uh thanks.

We were both awkwardly silent until Pike call us from the house.

Pike: Hey guys, foods ready. Hurry up before Grog tries to eat it all.

YN: Dragon tail?

Pike: Yup.

YN: (Runs.) GROG I SWEAR TO GOD I'M GONNA KILL YOU IF YOH EAT IT ALL!

I couldn't help but laugh before I head inside as well. Honestly, even though we rarely know each other well, he's a good friend.
