3rd POV

Vox Machina arrived at the ziggurat and it begins to glow in green. Suddenly Scanlan realizes and begin to put the pieces together about the book.

Grog: Uh, Scanlan?

Scanlan: (Gasp.) It wasn't a spell book. It was an instructon manual. The drawings, the symbols, it all had to do with that name.

YN: What name?

Scanlan: Uh the wha...what was it? The- the Whispered One.

Pike: (Curious.) The Whispered One?

Vex: You've heard that name?

Pike: Once. Uh, from an elder of the Everlight.

YN: What do they know of it?

Pike: They said he's some sort of undead creature whose soul seeks the power to return to our plane.

Scanlan: I get the book, the maps, but what's with the star chart?

Keyleth: Its the solstice, when the barrier between the planes is the thinnest.

Scanlan: Oh, sure, sure, the planes. Yeah, yeah, what does that mean?

Keyleth: If this Whispered One wants to cross over, now is the time to do it.

YN: So the barrier is the only thing that's between him and our plane.

Pike: And the Briarwoods must be trying to help him.

YN: But why? What does the Whisper guy have that they want.

Vex: I don't give a shit what they're doing or what they want. I just want my brother back.

YN: No, we need to stop them first.

Vex: Didn't you just hear me-

YN: If the Whispered guy comes to our world, then we'll lose everything including Vax. Look, I know I may be a ass, but I know what's it like to losing a family, believe me. (Sigh.) We'll split up so we can deal with the idiots while the other deals with Vax.

Vex nods from understandable and they get closer before they hide in cover from being spotted.

Vex: (Gasp.) Vax.

Grog: Okay, I'll take Vax. (Crack his neck.) Piece of cake.

Vex: Grog, I want him alive.

Grog: Oh. Uh, then I got Cassandra.

Percy: No, she will answer to me.

Grog: Oh...(Pouts.) I never get to play.

Pike: Buddies, we still need somebody to handle Silas. Any suggestions?

Grog: Um, I don't know, maybe Ripley? Doesn't really matter what happens to her.

Ripley: Hey!

YN: I don't know, I'm with Grog on this one.

Pike: (Smiles.) I was talking about you. 

Grog: Oh...

YN: No, I call dibs on fighting him.

Grog: Aw man...

Grog stares at YN with his puppy eyes.

YN: 'Fuck, he's too innocent!' Okay fine, if you get him first.

Grog: (Chuckles.) Goody!

Ripley: Please, how can you kill Silas who's a vampire and in a room where there's no sunlight?

YN: I've killed deadly vampires than him in the dark.

Ripley: What are you gonna do, burn him?

YN: Something like that.

Vex: Let's move.

Keyleth POV

They get closer to the ziggurat with stealth and move up while Percy, Ripley and I stay to watch their back until I heard Ripley speaking up.

Ripley: Don't be a fool, Percy, this fight cannot be won. Come with me. Our minds, together?

Percy: You're not leaving.

Ripley: I'm afraid you've overestimate my willingness in this endeavor.

I saw Ripley leaving as Percy points his pepperbox at her. If he shoots then he'll risk compromising our position, I had no choice but to stop him.

Keyleth: Percy, they'll hear.

Ripley: (Smirk.) Yes, go ahead. Shoot me.

Percy tries to hold back but then the black smoke starting to appear on him, forcing him to shoot her but Ripley runs away.

Ripley: Until next time.

Percy: We are not finished. (Grunts.)

Percy struggles to resist and the smoke is forcing him to shoot.

Percy: No. No, can't... Dew it. Too loud. Don't care! Letting her go!

I witness his struggle and the smoke started to morph into a creature with made me shock.

3rd POV

The Briarwoods are at the ziggurat door while Cassandra and Vax are by the stairs.

Delilah: You need to keep your strength up. Cassandra.

Cassandra: Yes, mother?

Cassandra approaches them while opening her collar shirt, revealing the bites on her neck. Silas was about to bite her again but was interrupted by Percy shouting.

Percy: Silas!

They see Percy walking up the stairs with a glare and the black smoke around him as well as his eyes are darkened.

Percy: We have depts to settle.

Silas: These swine refuse to die.

The group saw that Percy compromise their positions.

YN: Damit Percy!

Scanlan: I kind of assumed we were gonna sneak up on them, but okay.

Vax stand in their way with his knife ready.

Keyleth: Vax, please.

Vex: Come on, brother.

Scanlan: All right, look. You might as well surrender. You're outnumbered and there's nowhere to run.

Delilah: (Evil smirk.) Who's running?

Delilah blast her dark magic at them but everyone jump at the sides of the stairs except for Grog who was hit by it and fell back down to the stairs.

Pike: Grog!

YN: All right, that's it. No more mister nice wolf!

Percy manage to pass through Vax and goes after them. Vax was gonna stop him but was stopped by Keyleth ice.

Keyleth: Go Percy!

Vax breaks free from the ice and charges at her, but Vex tackles him off the stairs. Letting her deal with her brother. Percy aim his pepperbox at Silas.

Percy: I've waited so long for this!

Cassandra: You'll have to get through me.

Cassandra stand in his way as Silas meat shield, but Percy hesitated until the smoke tries to force him to shoot. Cassandra suddenly charges at him with her sword, but he dodges it and runs away while she chases him.

Keyleth: we'll hold Silas!

Keyleth traps Silas with her plant magic.

Silas: (Evil smirk.) More of your little weed? (Breaks free.) Child's play.

Silas charges at her with incredible speed and Keyleth uses her magic to block any of his attacks but she was close to exhaustion. Soon Silas summons his black sword.

Silas: Fresh blood for my blade.

Just before Silas was about to kill her with a swing, YN immediately blocks his sword with his own.

YN: (Glares.) You'll have to get through me.

Silas: (Smirks.) With-

A glowing yellow shield appears between them.

Pike: Oh, hell no!

Pike throws her yellow construct mace directly to Silas who blocks it. Silas continues to attack but YN clash his sword with his until Silas pushes him far. Before YN retaliates, Silas punches Keyleth to the stomach with great amount of force to cause her to fly. Luckily the roots saved her from death but she was knocked out.

YN: Keyleth!

Silas: (Laughs.) Worry about your girl?

YN: You bastard!

Pike: Let's go!

YN and Pike fight Silas and they've been keeping up as Pike holds his blade with her mace. Suddenly she notice her Everlight magic begins to weaken.

Pike: No, no, no, no. Don't fade. Not now!

YN was about to attack Silas from behind, but Silas with quick speed appear behind him and swing his sword. Luckily YN reactions are quick enough to block it by swinging his sword back. Scanlan grabs his lute but notice it's out of tune.

Scanlan: Ugh, out of tune? Ah, fuck it. Whitestone ziggurat! Are you ready to rock!?-

Suddenly he was muted by magic and tries to speak.

Scanlan: (muffled.) What? What the...what in the heck is going on? What!?

He notice it was Delilah who muted him as she made a shush. She then uses her magic against him as he runs away from her magic attacks. Pike notice Scanlan is in trouble.

Pike: Damit!

Silas: Keep your eyes on me!

YN block him away from Pike.

YN: I got this! Go help Scanlan!

Pike: On it!

Pike leave and shield him from Delilah which made Scanlan seeing her as a angel.

Silas: (Smirks.) Hmph. Putting yourself first to protect your friends.

YN: (Smirks.) Least I got more friends than you.

Silas then parry YN's sword and they both clash their swords until Silas bocks it but YN tries to overpower him.

Silas tends to push him back until YN suddenly knees directly to Silas balls but to no affect.

Silas: Really?

YN: ...Yes.

YN does it again multiple times but still nothing.

Silas: Fucken really?

YN headbutts him. Silas back away and YN slashes his chest as Silas hisses.

YN: I can do all day, can you?-

Silas then appear in front of him and punches his stomach. YN accidentally drop his sword and was about to collapse but still holds his ground. He wasted no time but punches Silas but to no affect.

Silas: (Chuckles.) Pathetic.

YN: Fuck...

YN smirks and gives another punch, this time with a hidden blade which cut Silas face. This made silas angry and he punches him with great amount of force. Causing YN to crash by the wall and coughing blood.

Silas: This is the witcher who slays monsters? (Laughs.) A man who hunts any nightmares?

Grog arrive after recovering and attacks Silas but he blocks Grog with his sword.

Grog: No one kills YN but me!

YN POV

Fuck, how soft did I get from hanging out with my friends? Is it just me? Where's my brothers or my mentor when you need them the most?

???: Get up YN.

I open my eyes and see my friends are having trouble from the Briarwoods. Suddenly I saw a ghost and my eyes were widen to see who it was. My mentor, Vesemir.

Vesemir: Got yourself beat up again eh lad? Don't tell me ya got soft. You're a witcher, you hunt monsters.

    So no matter which world you end up, always remember.

He hold up a horn like a wine cup and raise a toast with a smirks.

Vesemir: Become a real witcher, make yourself something more...to better men. So get up, and show them who you truly are!

I cough blood again and this time I get back up to my feet. I pull out my black elixir and drink it.

I struggle to endure while it flows through my blood, but the pain was too much due to my injuries.

Keyleth POV

I open my eyes and push back up. Soon I see all my friends are having trouble. I use my staff to help me get back up as I hear Vex calling me.

Vex: Keyleth, do something!

Keyleth: I...can't...

Vex: Please!

A knife was thrown at her from behind and it disappear before Vax retrieves it and tries to kill his sister, but Vex resists by holding his arm from slitting her throat. I try to stand up but ends up collapsing again. I sigh and I saw the Sun Tree roots, remembering the last time I spoke with it. Wait...

Keyleth: Roots. Sun Tree?...I'm Keyleth, of the Air Ashari...I know you're there...and holy shit do I need your help.

The Sun Tree roots then crawl towards my hand, sharing me its strength to help.

Vex: Keyleth!

I get back up and remember what YN told me about the light.

YN: The light lives in all places, in all things. You can block it even try to trap it. But in the end, the light always find its way.

Keyleth: (Weakly.) Please.

The roots the wrapped around my staff.

Keyleth: Help me be the light.

I raise my staff as the light on it begins to shine.

3rd POV

Everyone then notice the light while Vax pins his sister down but soon Vex notice the light is weakening the charm on Vax. She takes the opportunity and quickly pins him down and begins to beat his face up.

Vex: Please don't make me do this brother!

Vax: (Gets punched.) Fuck! Vex is that y- (Punched again and again.) Would you stop hitting me!?

Vex realize he's back and hugs him while sobbing.

Vex: (Sobs.) Don't ever do that to me again. I was ready to kill you just now.

Vax: (Chuckles.) My face believes you.

Pike retaliates from Delilah magic and uses her strength to push back by shooting a beam of light.

Grog: Way to go Keyleth-

Grog was then punched by Silas to the head before Silas saw what's keyleth doing.

Silas: I'll take care of this, darling.

Silas runs towards her but suddenly YN blocks him, revealing his eyes are darkened.

Silas: Getting tired dog?

YN: Round 3 asshole.

YN POV

Silas attacks with his full strength but I still stand in my ground while blocking his attacks.

I dodges the last swing and parries it with enough strength to disarm him. I swing my sword but was stop by Silas grabbing my wrist and he tries to punch me. Luckily caught his fist and we both try to overpower each other.

Silas: (Smirk.) Maybe I should teach you a lesson dog.

YN: And what's that?-

Silas then pulls me close.

Silas: Never give your opponent an opening.

Silas then bite my neck and struggles to break free while Silas sucks my blood. I uses my hidden blade to force Silas out of his grasp until it hit me. I grab the bottle of salt and smashes to Silas face.

    I could've use it to make holy water, but there's no time. Soon he let's go and pushes me before coughing the salt out. I fell on his knees while holding the bite on my neck.

Silas: Pathetic-

Suddenly he felt something burning inside of him.

Silas: W-what is this!?

I grab something in my pocket, revealing a brass knuckle and puts it on.

I punch Silas to the face to knock him down but he was still conscious. Silas then gets up and sees me giving him a death glare.

YN: You kill Percy's family, take over and try to destroy the Whitestone, and worst of all, you hurt my friends. (Crack his knuckles.) This is gonna hurt painful...(smirk.) And I'm gonna enjoy your pain. No remorse, no fear!

3rd POV

Silas gets up and suddenly saw a image where YN is as it gave him the chills.

An anrgy wolf, waiting and ready to unleash all of its anger.

Silas: Don't get cocky dog-

YN: For fuck sakes, its....

Silas tries to punch YN, but he dodges it begins to punch him with his brass knuckles. Soon he pins him down and begins to beat him up.

YN: Dark Wolf!

Once he beat Silas enough. He grabs and lifts him up before holding him with chokehold.

YN: If you weren't afraid from all the blood you've shed, then you're not afraid of the light!

Silas: Get off me! You'll die too you fool!

YN: (Smirks.) Killing you was the point, living with it was the luxury. Besides, I always put sunblock. Light it up Keyleth!

Keyleth lights shines brighter with the help of the Sun Tree.

Pike: You're their light now. Keep them out of darkness.

Keyleth then prepares her powerful light and everyone witnesses it.

Delilah notice YN is holding Silas who's struggling to break free while the light is burning him.

Delilah: Silas! No!

She was about to chant her magic on Keyleth but was then muted by Scanlan who's giving her a taste of her own medicine.

She was soon then knock back by Pike powerful Everlight beam. Meanwhile, Keyleth prepares her light against Silas.

Keyleth: YN, I don't want to hit you!

YN: I can take it!....I think?

Keyleth: You think!?-

YN: Just do it!

She hesitates but she wasted no time to shot a beam of sun light at them as Silas is screaming from the light. Luckily for YN, he's using Silas as a meat shield.

YN: Open your eyes vampire and cherish it, for this is the last sunlight you'll see!

Delilah witness Silas getting killed by the sunlight.

Delilah: (Muffled scream.) NOOOO!

Keyleth throws everything she's got at them while Silas screams from the light and as well as YN from trying to resist the heat of light.

Once that was over, Silas body crumbles into dust as YN fell on his knees due to the injuries of the heat of sunlight. Cassandra was finally free from Silas charm as Percy look at his pepperbox name Silas disappear.

Percy: That kill was mine!

Suddenly Delilah lost it and was enraged from the death of her husband, she yells so loud it knock everyone back. Percy was about to fall but Cassandra saved him which made him finally relief that she's back. Soon he sees Delilah heading up stairs.

Percy: Delilah!

Pike: She's running away!

Cassandra: No, she's doing something much more worse.

Grog helps YN up from all the pain he took.

Grog: I got you wolf.

YN: (Cough.) Thanks big guy, sorry to kill Silas before you did.

Grog: Its fine, I'll probably kill you when this is over.

YN: Fair enough.

Keyleth: YN! Are you okay?

YN: I'm fine, my mom always told me to bring sunblock.

Vex: We need to stop Delilah. Let's go!

They nod and goes after her, but soon Delilah lock herself in the ziggurat before Percy could reach her.

Pike: Here, gather close.

Pike then heals everyone with her magic.

YN: Now I feel better.

Vex: Thanks love.

Percy: (Tries to open the door.) Open the door! I need to get in there now!

Grog stops him from going too far.

Grog: Take it easy. She ain't going nowhere.

Scanland looks through the keyhole and sees Delilah doing the ritual.

Vex: What can you see?

Scanlan: Uh...you wouldn't believe me if I told you. We gotta unlock this door.

Vax: I don't suppose anyone has a key?

Everyone looks at Cassandra but she shook her head. Soon Vax tries to pick a lock to the door.

Vex: Vax, come on. We got to hurry it up now.

Grog: This ain't working. Just let me hit it.

Scanlan: Hurry, hurry! Must go faster. Mu go faster.

YN: What's happening in there?

Vax: Shut up and let me work! Hold your breath if you can't do anything else.

YN and Grog look at each other and shrugs before they hold their breath.

Vex: You can do this. We're right behind you. Plus the whole world is at stake, so try not to fuck it up.

Vax: You always know what I need to hear, stubby.

Soon Vax finally unlocks it and the gust of wind was let out as Percy runs inside.

Percy: Move aside!

Percy sees Delilah chanting while the ritual continues and the portal open above them. Perch wasted no time to aim at her. 

Percy: Delilah, stop!

Percy shoot but Delilah uses her magic to shield from his shots.

Vax: Don't let her up. Give her everything you've got! 

Vox machina charges at her but Delilah knocks them back. Keyleth tries to use her vines to grab her but Delilah knocks her back.

Delilah: Bear witness as I unleash him unto this world!

Delilah: Nethrak-uktu-kavesh!

Pike: Shit. We're not gonna stop her!

YN: Fuck that!

YN rushes in before grabbing his crossbow with a silver arrow. He sees an opening and shoot through the shield and wounded her from behind. Soon she sees it was YN, a man who killed her beloved husband.

Delilah: You! I'll see you suffer for what you have taken from me!

She yells as she blast a dark magic at him. YN was about to use his shield magic but for some reason it doesn't work. Keyleth saw YN was about to be killed by Delilah.

Keyleth: No!

YN POV

Without anything else to use, I shield myself but didn't felt anything hit me. My eyes open and to my eyes widen to see Keyleth protected me.

Flash back came and I saw Vesemir sacrifice himself to save me. The same way that Keyleth did. She smiles at me before she fell but I caught her.

YN: Keyleth!

Suddenly we were knock back by Delilah ritual and I hold on to Keyleth. Soon we see someone appear in front of Delilah, a man whose covered in bandages and wears a cloak. This must be the Whispered One.

Delilah: (Smiles maniacally.) Yes! Reveal yourself!

Soon the Whispered One disappear as green lightning was release and travel through the Sun Tree roots before releasing to the sky. And the room darkened as Delilah was shock to see it must've failed. All that remains was the mysterious orb, spinning in mid air

Delilah: No. No. You promised. (Tears.) This can't be all there is!

Percy shoots her stomach and she collapse. Then I see Keyleth is dying. 

YN: That hit was meant for me. Why did you do it? Pike, help! Please!

Pike rushes in and sees her conditions.

Pike: She's still alive but barely. I need to do this quick before-

In and instant, she vanishes to thin air and it made my eyes wide to see that our best hope for Keyleth is gone.

YN: No, no, no! Pike! Pike!

Vex: YN stop!

Vax: YN, look at me.

I look at him with my tears escaping from my eyes as he tries to talk with reason.

Vax: Pike's gone. And Keyleth will be too if we don't do something fast.

I nod and we all see the orb still floating while its spinning fast. And everything faded to black.
