Ever since the party learn about the vestige plate is in hell, they head back to Whitestone to figure out what to do next and how to get there. Right now they're at the sun tree where a bird pooped on Percy shoulder.

Grog: (Chuckles.) Bull's eye.

Percy: That's quite the omen.

Vex: (Smiles.) Actually, its supposed to mean good luck, especially in romance.

Percy: (Smiles.) Then I should've put a bird's nest in my bedroom years ago.

Grog: (Laughs.) That's fucking weird.

Vax: Percy's nesting habits aside, the plate of the Dawnmartyr is apparently in hell.

YN: Hell, of all places. Who and why the fuck would they ever do that?

Grog: Um, the emperex.

YN: That was a rhetorical question.

Grog: And I gave you a rhetorical answer.

YN: Good lord...

Keyleth: Are we seriously consider going?

Scanlan: Well, it would make for an awesome song. ♪ Vox Machina conquering Hell ♪ Where the demon Zerxus dwells ♪ On a chariot of flame they sang out his name ♪ Scanlan the demon god cast his spell! ♪

Everyone became silent until Scanlan speaks.

Scanlan: I should workshop it. I'll workshop it. Yeah.

Keyleth: Okay, even if we go, how would we get there?

YN: (To Vax.) I don't suppose your lady raven could lend us a hand?

Vax: (Scoff.) Don't be stupid.

YN: I'm just asking. Its not like we can just kill ourselves and come back to life. At least Vex and I did it once.

Vex: And I for one would rather not do that again.

Allura: Actually, we know a way. An old ally of ours-

Kima: Dohla? No way. That bitch wanted me dead.

Allura: Oh, don't be dramatic. Its been years.

Grog: Ooh, Kima with the hot boss. Spill it, girl.

YN: Since when did you start acting like Scanlan!?

Allura: Our former adventuring companion was just named to the Draconian Assembly. They guard the hidden rift to the hells.

Percy: Isn't Draconia a frigid, floating wasteland?

Kima: And our "companion" was so pissed at me she moved there.

Pike: We sort of need this thing, guys. Think you can bury the battle axe long enough to get us into hell?

Kima: Urgh.

Percy: I don't love leaving Whitestone unprotected.

Vex: Oh, look on the bright side, darling, fewer birds in the snow.

Time skip

Sun started to set as we see Percy and Cassandra are discussing while heading upstairs.

Cassandra: Your concerns are appreciated, brother. But I've been running this city for quite some time now. Gilmore has managed to make his cloaking spell more or less permanent. Yennen tells me this years Harvest festival will be well attended,-

Percy then notice Vex is coming down stairs and he glance at her beauty while unaware what Cassandra is saying.

Cassandra: -and the ranks of the Pale Guard are up to pre-Brairwood level. I assure you, we'll be fine.

Percy: Mhmm...

His sister then notice he's not paying attention to her.

Cassandra: In fact, while you're gone, perhaps I'll cut down the Sun Tree and build an extravagant canoe.

Percy: Right...Sounds lovely...

Vex: Big day tomorrow. Everything all right?

Percy: Uh...yes. Of-of course. Uh, we were just discussing... Um...

Cassandra: Canoes.

Vex: I see. Well, if you want to update me on the, um, canoe situation, I'll be up for a bit.

Vex passes by while Percy just glances at her while blushing a bit. Making Cassandra smirk after watching it all.

Cassandra: You're smitten.

Percy: And so what if I am? Its not like I can act on it.

Cassandra: Brother, women aren't some mysterious code. When one invites you to her room, you go.

She gives Percy a little push before he runs off. Soon nightfall came and Percy is walking to the hallway while YN passes by.

YN: Hey, Percy.

Percy didn't respond as he's been practicing on his small talk to chat with Vex and YN notice the drink named courage and two cups as he knows whats going on. Percy continues to mutter until YN pat his back to get his attention.

YN: Percy, just take a leap and go with it.

Percy: Well, its just-

YN: Nah, nah, nah. No excuses even for a glass man. Just go with it and pray that that she doesn't break you.

Percy: As in breaking my heart?

YN just pat his back before leaving without saying a word. Leaving Percy be with Vex while he goes to Keyleth room as he's by the door. Taking a deep breath for the moment since this is the only time. He then knocks the door and wait until Keyleth respond.

Keyleth: One sec.

Keyleth opens the door and see its YN.

YN: Hey. Um...can I come in for a minute.

Keyleth: Oh, um, yeah, come in. I was just...you know...

YN: Right um...I'll just sit.

Keyleth: Sure. Sit, yeah.

Keyleth moves her stuff away from the bed and they both sat down. They were both silent until they both speak.

YN: Listen um...

Keyleth/YN: I forgive you./ I can't go to hell with you.

This surprised Keyleth as she thought he'll watch her back on their journeys.

Keyleth: But why? After all we've been through.

YN: I just can't. Even if I could, what if my soul attracts attentions and it'll put you all at risk?

Keyleth: As a team, we take risk all the time. We're going to goddamn hell for a piece of armor, but...you won't risk anything for me.

YN: Keyleth, I don't take my decision lightly when it comes to my instincts and life risking. I have to step out from going to hell.

Keyleth: You said that you'll be there for me. If I need you to.

YN: But you don't always need me. Like when you complete your Aramenté-

Keyleth: You think I don't know? Becoming the voice of the Tempest is a responsibility that last for centuries.

YN: So does being a witcher. Living long enough to know what'll happen next and don't wanting to risk more dangers. I just can't risk. I'm...afraid to risk it.

Keyleth: If you're too afraid, then...maybe you should leave.

Keyleth opens the door for YN to leave.

YN: Keyleth, I didn't mean-

Keyleth: Just get out!

Not wanting to cause too much pressure on her, YN leaves and Keyleth shut the door. She then cry and hug her knees.

Believing that the witcher will watch her back until now. Meanwhile YN is still at the door and he deeply regretted what he said.

YN: If only you'd understand...

Not wanting to bother her anymore, he decided to leave and head out to train to get his mind off of in order to stay focus.

The witcher trains until he realize dawn is coming and so he decided to head back and clean himself while theres a music lute playing where we see Pike is out of bed and in her pajamas. Soon she notice Scanlan is practicing his lute by the balcony and she decided to have a small talk with him.

Pike: New song?

Scanlan: Something like that.

Pike sat next to Scanlan while they're watching the Whitestone from their point of view until Scanlan sigh.

Scanlan: You ever get the chance to tell someone how you feel and you...you just kind of chicken it out?

Pike: Yeah. I have. And hey, no matter how bad you messed up with Kaylie, I'm here.

This comfort Scanlan and he was about to kiss her until Pike became hesitant.

Pike: Whoa! Not...what I meant.

Scanlan: (Realize.) Shit, shit, shit. I-I-I thought-

Scanlan left and accidentally go wine spilled on his clothes.

Scanlan: (Nervous.) Oh, fuck. 'Cause you put your hand...fuck, I don't know what's wrong with me.

Pike: No, its fine, I...really...oh no, I was just being nice.

Scanlan: (Groans.) I'm just gonna go back to my magical nightclub and punch myself in the face.

Pike: Wait, where?

Scanlan: Pike...I'm sorry.

Scanlan just leaves Pike at the balcony. Regretting what he did and his mind is not probably straight at the moment. Next we see Percy is getting dressed up for today while Vex is still sleeping and he comforts Vex before leaving the room until...

Percy: Oh...

Vax: Uh...

Percy: I was just, uh...

Vax: were you...

YN: Hey, guys.

YN just arrive with a towel around his neck.

YN: Do you guys know where I can find more soap-

He then realize Percy came from Vex room and gasp.

YN: Oh my god, did you actually...

Vax: Wait, did you knew...

Percy: Well he encouraged me to...

Vax: You did...?

YN: (To Vax.) Hold on, you didn't knew...?

The 3 men point and question at each other.

YN: Okay, okay, everyone stop!

They stop pointing at each other and stayed quiet.

Percy: So, Draconia?

YN: Draconia. Right. (To Vax.) Draconia?

Vax: Draconia. Right, right.

They all split up and get ready to leave to Draconia with their warm clothes since it'll be cold out there.

Vex: Allura's preparing the teleport circle.

Keyleth: Good. I don't want to mess up another tree.

???: Where do you think you're going?

The party look back and see its Jarett glaring at them.

Scanlan: Yo, yikes, Jarett. You wake up on the wrong side of the sword?

YN aims his crossbow at Jarett before responding.

YN: That's not Jarett. Its Raishan.

Raishan then reveal herself with her human form.

Raishan: What gave me away?

YN: Nonya. Trade secret.

Keyleth: Okay, first off, you really have to stop doing that, and second, you wanted us to get this Plate.

Raishan: Thordak is already suspicious. Quite a time to leave your home unprotected.

Percy: If you try anything while we're away, I swear...

Raishan: You have two days, not a minute more.

With that, she disappeared before they head to meet Allura while Vex ask YN a curious question.

Vex: How did you know?

YN: I have her scent in case she ever tries sneak again. We still can't trust her.

Time skip

Thanks to Allura, they're teleported to Draconia. A floating island that's filled with snow.

Allura: Welcome to Draconia. Hope you brought mittens.

From there they walk on foot.

Pike: So, your friend.

Kima: (Scoff.) Don't let her hear you call her that.

Scanlan: What is the deal with you three?

Allura: Let's just say being in dangerous situations with someone you're close to can lead...to friction.

Kima: She'll meet us up ahead. Buckle the fuck up.

They continue onward until they meet Dohla who's talking with the other draconic until she notice her friends.

Dohla: (Smiles.) Allura.

Dohla hugs Allura in a warm hug.

Allura: (Smiles.) Dohla. Good to see you.

Dohla: My gods, I've missed you.

They then separated before Dohla sees Kima.

Dohla: And Kima the Mighty. Kima the Brave.

This confused Kima until Dohla flick Kima nose.

Kima: Ow!

Dohla: Kima the Gullible. (Laughs.) How you faring.

Kima: (Surprised.) Confused. At how little you've changed. Wow.

Dohla: Your message did catch me by surprise, but it sounded important. And if the Despath gateway can help, the Draconian people are more than willing to share it.

Dohla then notice the party behind her friends.

Dohla: New friends, its a bit of a trek. Try not to fall behind.

Grog: (Chuckles.) How far could it be?

Time skip

Grog: Okay, it's far.

They've been walking up to the mountain of snow and we see Keyleth slipped by the snow before YN offers her a hand.

YN: You okay?

Keyleth shoves the witcher hand away before she gets up on her own without making eye contact.

Keyleth: I have to be.

Keyleth continues onward and YN follows behind and Vax ask him a question.

Vax: What happened between you two?

YN: Its complicated. Knowing hell, every outcome can be trouble.

Vax: Sounds like you've been through it once.

YN: More like avoid it once.

Dohla: This is it.

They then arrive to their destination.

Scanlan: Oh. Sorry, this is what?

Dohla place her hands by the rocks and uses her magic to reveal a hidden path.

Keyleth: No one guards this gateway?

Dohla: It's well-hidden. And if anyone found it, eternal hellfire is a pretty strong deterrent.

Dohla leads them inside the cave and they arrive to the gateway which is sealed.

Dohla: It takes more than one to open the gateway, and it can only be done from this side. So, some of you need to stay.

Allura: Its fine. Kima and I will remain.

Vex: Me, too. You'll need a lookout.

Percy: Um, I should stay as well.

YN: I'll stay too. Not comfort when it comes to hell.

Vex: If you think you'll help.

Vax: We'll go through, find the plate, and get the hell out of there.

Scanlan: (Grin.) Pun intended?

Allura: The gateway cannot remain indefinitely. Remember, we'll reopen it in exactly 12 hours.

Grog: Twelve? But I ain't got enough fingers. Anybody got twelve fingers?

Scanlan: Buddy, if you run out, just switch to toes.

Vax, Keyleth, Pike, Scanlan, and Grog get ready to go to hell while the rest stays behind. YN wants to speak to Keyleth before they split up while Dohla and Allura use their magic to open the gate.

YN: Keyleth-

Keyleth: Now's not the time, YN...

She walks away.

YN: Just...be careful.

Dohla and Allura successfully opens the gateway and holds it open.

Dohla: Hurry, before it closes.

The group then run through the gate way.

Allura: Good luck, Vox Machina.

Grog: Bye!

With that, the gateway closes. While they're gone, the others build a camp outside of the cave and YN went to go look for a hunt. Dohla starts a bonfire while Kima brings dry wood for the fire.

Kima: I gotta say, D, I was a little nervous after how we left things. I mean, me and Allura getting together. Listen, I'm sorry if I hurt you.

Dohla: (Confused.) What are you talking about?

Kima: Oh um, didn't you have like, feelings for me?

Dohla: Feelings? Kima, we're adults. There were crushes, but we had a job to do. It was always clear that you two were destined for each other.

Kima: So...you weren't, like, butt-hurt?

Dohla: In all these years, I haven't given a single thought.

Dohla walks away and YN arrived with a dead boar on his back for cooking while Percy wanted to start a conversation with Vex.

Percy: So...

Vex: So...what?

Percy: Last night. (Chuckles.)

Vex: (Chuckles.) Ah, yes. Last night was fun.

Percy: And?

Vex: And I think I'll fix some tea.

Percy: That's it? End of conversation? Shouldn't we talked about what that was? What we are?

Vex: If you need a label, call it a tryst. Call it a mistake. Call it whatever you want.

Percy: I want to know what you want. Unless you're too scared to say it.

Vex then faces Percy face to face.

Vex: (Scoff.) Sc- I'm not scared. I'm-

Suddenly her head starts to ring and she felt pain from it.

Percy: Vex?

YN skins the boar until his medallion started to vibrate. Forcing him to stop what he's doing and look around until they hear a dragon roar. YN follows the sound and saw its Vorugal coming to them.

YN: Company!

Percy: How did he know where we were?

Allura: Over here! We need to find cover.

The three follow the others to the forest to stay hidden. But Vorugal already caught them by his sight.

Vorugal: Yes, run. Vorugal will gladly hunt you down.

The group stay hidden underneath a large tree root.

Dohla: (Sigh in relief.) We're safe here.

Kima: Shh...!

Vorugal blast ice breath that hit near where they're hidden.

Kima:  You were saying?

Vorugal starts firing ice breath everywhere while the ice grows spikes around.

Vex: Down!

Vex pushes Percy away from the ice while the others run to cover until a tree falls above them.

Vorugal: Can't hide forever.

Luckily YN used Quen to shield them from the collapse before pushing it away and Dohla shouted.

Dohla: You two okay?

Kima: (Whispers.) What the hell? It'll hear us!

Dohla: I'm checking on the others. Something you should be doing.

YN softly whistles and waited until he hears a whistle nearby.

Kima: See? They're fine.

They go look for the others where they're seem to be stuck under bunch of woods.

Fortunately YN pulls them out after offering them a hand.

Allura: You all right?

YN: I don't like this. With Vorugal here, we'll be having a lot trouble to get our friends out of hell.

Vex: We need to move. The western ridge has cover.

Dohla: No. We're better off crossing to that peak.

Vex: Seems rather in the open, but you're the local. Lead the way.

YN: Too risky. Second he sees us, he'll trap us there and keep us from escaping.

Dohla: It has more cover. That's the last place dragons would expected.

Vex: Lead the way.

Dohla nods and they head to the peak with Dohla leading them away from the gateway.

Allura: You're taking us further from the gateway. We need to be back and reopen it for our friends.

Dohla: (Scoff.) As if you care.

Kima: The fuck? Of course we do.

Dohla: As if.

YN: Hey, maybe if you didn't notice, but those are our friends back there. We're not gonna leave them in hell and I'm sure Allura and Kima agrees.

Dohla: Forgive me, but they have history leaving allies in the dust.

Dohla then shares the story of how she was right besides those two when they defeated Thordak. They foight together as equals until Allura and Kima ended up on the council of Tal'Dorei while Dohla ended up here at the snow. After she shared her story, she leaves before Kima tries to be reasonable.

Kima: Dohla, I didn't know you wanted ri be on the council. We assumed you were happy. (Sigh.) I'm sorry.

Allura: We both are.

YN: Seriously? All this for a seat on a council?

Dohla: Problem with that?

YN: Yeah, I don't care about any pride when it comes to my friends. Especially about staying stuck in the past.

Soon they arrive to a large ice.

Dohla: That's nice to hear, but a bit too late. And of course they didn't know. (To Allura and Kima.) You were lost in each other's eyes. Blinded by a schoolgirl romance. But Draconian never abandoned me, and I will not abandon them.

Dohla then place her hand on the ice and uses her magic before the ice begins to glow blue.

Percy: Wait, Vorugal will see!

Kima: What are you doing?

It was too late as she activated the beacon with her magic.

Vex: A distress beacon?

YN: You lizard bitch!

Allura: You've sentenced us to death!

Soon Vorugal notice the beacon and fly's towards them. Its only a matter of time before they're doomed including the ones in hell.
