Just when Raishan escaped with Thordaks corpse they were confused of what she was planning and now they have to find a way to hunt there down.

Grog: Da fuck just happened?

Vex: She took him. Raishan took Thordaks corpse.

YN: Kiki, are you okay?

Keyleth: (Glares.) Of course I'm not okay. She laid a trap for us and we walked right into it.

Vax: We didn't know.

YN: At least until it was too late.

Keyleth: I knew. This entire time I've known, but I couldn't convince anyone.

YN: It's not your fault, Keyleth.

Keyleth: (Angry.) No, it isn't. Every time I brought it up, every time I raised my voice, I was questioned, doubted, dismissed by my own team.

This made everyone silent, not knowing what to say as they regretted not listening to what Keyleth was trying to say including YN who found out when it was too late. Just then Keyleth leaves before YN asks.

YN: Keyleth, what are you doing?

Keyleth: Not waiting for anyone else's approval. Not relying on anyone anymore. Especially you.

YN: Keyleth, it's not like that.

YN tries to be reasonable to Keyleth, but she angrily pushes him away.

Keyleth: Don't. Don't come after me.

Before he could say anything, Keyleth leaves in her bird form and abandons the party.

In Emon, the remaining party are at their home, what's left of it, as Vax peeks through the door to see Pike and Grog are checking up on Scanlan who still hasn't woken up.

Nothing to do to help, he leaves and sees YN in the next room.

Vax: You all right?

YN: Would it make any difference?

Vax: Guess not. Maybe she just needs time.

YN: I doubt we'd have it. Not while Raishan is on the loose. Don't even get me started with Ripley now that we got two bigger problems we could've stopped.

Vax: What are you going to do now?

YN: To be honest, I'm not sure at the moment. If you need me, I'll be meditating at the training grounds. I need to think clearly.

Vax: Right...

Vax leaves YN so that the witcher can go think clearly while Vax meets up with his sister who's outside sitting with Trinket.

Vex: Keyleth was right, you know. We deluded ourselves. Convince each other we could solve any problem if we did it together.

Vax: And you disagree?

Vex: Before Vox Machina, there was you and me. And we never left business unfinished.

Vax: You want to go after Ripley.

Vex: I thought an avenging mother would feel better...It didn't. Because I know there's one more wrong to right.

Vax: What about the team?

Vex: There is no team anymore.

Vax: If this is what you want, sister...I'm with you.

Vex nods and they are about to leave until the witcher gets in their way.

Vax: I thought you were meditating.

YN: If you're planning on going after Ripley, I want in.

Vex: This is personal business.

YN: This is not a request.

Vex: Listen, you bitcher!-

This made Vex silent as she knows that the witcher is right.

YN: Sometimes you gotta be prepared for the worse. Besides, I'm not into vengeance, I'm into Ripley's dark age technology and end it for good.

Vax: (To Vex.) The more the merrier to say the least.

Vex: (Sigh.) Fine, but Ripley is mine.

YN: Deal.

YN offers her a handshake to show her a sign of trust and she accepts it. With that, they fly off to find Ripley.

YN: I'm not asking this because I'm still new to this world, but where should we start looking for Ripley?

Vax: I may know a place. Speaking of asking, shouldn't you be worried about Keyleth?

YN: We all are, but right now we have to focus on finding Ripley. It's like you said, she just needs time....I hope.

After a long flight, the three arrive at a land where there's swamp. They walk on foot as they are wearing cloaks to blend in the place when they arrive.

Vax: Stilben. Home to the least trustworthy filth in the realm.

YN: Least there isn't a kikimora here.

Vex: A what now?

YN: Large toxic insectoids. They pull prey in the swamp and eat them while their prey's paralyzed.

Vax: Good thing they don't exist here. (To Vex.) Are you sure about this?

Vex: You can't clean up the world without getting dirty.

YN: Glad I'm wearing gloves.

Vax: (Smile.) Then...after you.

YN: ...I hate you.

They walk in the swamp town before they split up to look for anything. Soon Vex notices a tavern close by.

Believing there's a chance, she decides to start looking for answers from there until two men barge out of the entrance and fight.

Men: Lousy cheat!

They kept fighting until a humanoid cat stopped the fight by catching one of their punches.

Katari: Idiots! You'll attract attention. Now get out of my sight.

They both run off before the cat leaves and Vex notices something on his back.

Vex: (Gasp & whispers.) A pepperbox...

Vex glances at Vax who's at the rooftop and signals him with a nod before Vax follows Katari in stealth and speed thanks to his vestige. Vax kept following him until he got in the room and that's where Vax pursued and entered before he got ambushed from the ceiling.

Katari: You chose the wrong door, lad.

Vax: Just came to ask where you got that pepperbox.

Katari: I could answer...or I could slice your throat.

YN: You wouldn't have time after I slice yours.

Before he knew it, he felt a blade on his throat. Revealing its YN behind Katari with his hidden blade on his throat.

Katari: How did you stay hidden from my scent?

YN: Even wolves can hide their scent. Just let him go and we'll talk.

Katari: You kill me, I'm taking your friend with me.

Vax: Now, now. Let's not be trimming another. You wouldn't harm another who keeps the cloak.

Vax reveals the scar on the back of his neck which reveals to be a symbol that represents a member of The Clasp.

With that, Katari let him go as the witcher did the same.

Katari: No beads on your scar. (To YN.) You however...

Vax: It's fine, he's with me.

YN: Long as we can talk instead of killing each other. I'm good.

Katari: Fair enough. Suppose we be doves, then.

In an instant, YN pulls the cat away before the arrow could hit him. But then the cat was tackled down by Vex who jumped through the window before pinning the cat down and aiming her arrow at him.

Vax: Vex, get off, get off! Sister!

Vex: He was about to kill you!

YN: He was until we decided to talk.

Vax: And he's Clasp.

Vex realized it and she let's the cat go before the witcher helps him up.

Vax: Apologies. She's a little, uh...she can be a bit-

Katari: Don't worry about it. I got a sister, too. Fuckin love her.

Vax chuckles lightly and pulls out a bag of gold coins.

Vax: Let's start over, shall we?

Katari notices the gold coins and they start talking until they make a deal where the cat leads the three of them to where they can find a lead to Ripley.

Katari: The ship's been making its way up and down to Lucidian coast, delivering these weapons. Flies no flag. Bears no mark.

Soon they arrive at their destination and get to the rooftop for a better view.

Katari: Stop here to restock.

Vax: Any chance you know when the ship is coming back?

Katari: Only docks at night. Never announced ahead of time.

Vex: Then I guess we should get comfortable.

YN: Still, we can't let our guards down for too long.

Katari: You're on your own now. I don't mess with these fuckers.

Vax: (Smiles.) Thank you, friend.

Vax tosses the bag of gold coins to Katari, but he tosses it back to Vax.

Katari: There's no friends amongst thieves. Just remember, our debts are paid in blood. See you on the other side.

The cat then leaves the trio who'll wait for the ship to arrive. While they wait, the twins notice YN is meditating.

Vex: Okay, why is it that you always meditate?

YN: Part of witchers training. Helps me to stay focused with a clear mind. Plus sometimes this is better than going to sleep.

Vax: Ouch. So you mean you haven't been sleeping at all?

YN: Only when we're fighting. This is one of them.

Vax: Okay. But be real, YN. How worried should we be about those weapons?

YN: (Sigh.) Enough to start a war where both sides will die. Soldiers, citizens, family, parents, kids, pick your poison.

Vax: So that's why you want to stop Ripley.

YN: Last thing I want is to bury more people that died. And we've already lost enough from the conclaves. Don't want to bring more from those weapons.

Vex: So what exactly are the pepperboxes weaknesses?

YN: They run with black powder and oils. When the time's right, just get to cover.

Vex sighs and continues to be on a lookout and yet there's still nothing.

Vex: Still nothing. We should just go down there and force someone to talk.

Vax: Stubby, I know you want to find her. But we can't lose our heads.

Vex: Of course. Methodical.

Vax: How's this? I'll see if I can pick up some conversation while the rest of you stay put.

Vex: (Mutters.) Great…

Vax leaves to find any leads to when the ship will arrive before the witcher speaks to Vex.

YN: Be glad you have a brother who knows how to stay focused.

Vex continues to be on the lookout until she spotted a ship with no flag nor symbol.

Vex: (Whispers.) There's the ship!

YN looked and saw the ship.

YN: That's gotta be it.

Vex notices her brother isn't here yet.

Vex: Enough waiting.

YN: Vex, we can't be reckless about this.

Vex: I am not gonna wait until it's too late and you know it too.

YN: (Sigh.) Fine. Just keep your cool head together.

They both leave and sneak their way to the shore. Vex goes above the platform while YN goes under where he swims his way to the shore without being spotted. Vex knocks one of the sailors and leaves him against the barrels as she makes her way closer to the ship until the pirates hear the slash which was the barrel that fell off. With that, they notice Vex sneaking and aim their guns at her.

Pirate: Well. Look what we have here.

Vax notices the pirates have their attention by his sister.

Vax: (Mutters.) Damn it, Vex.

The pirates then tied up Vex with rope attached to the anchor.

Pirate: The fuck you doing here?

Vex: Nothing. I was...lost.

Pirate: Heh. Now you're found. Sorry, hon. Anchors aweigh.

Before he could drown her with the anchor, they were interrupted by another stranger.

???: Hold it. Boss told me to do the honors.

Pirate: Why? What does she care?

???: Eh, you want to ask her? Be my guest.

The pirate then notices something different from him.

Pirate: (Smirk.) Interesting. Where's your hook, Nikolai?

???: Ah, well. Can't fault me for trying.

The stranger reveals himself as Vax and throws his knives towards the pirate.

Before the other pirates could do anything, their foot was stabbed by swords from underneath. Revealing it was YN as Vax took the opportunity to take them down before one of the pirates pushes the anchor and pulls Vex in the water.

Fortunately, YN swam towards her and cut the ropes to free her before they swam back up. Vax helps his sister up first before the witcher climbs back up.

Vax: (To Vex.) The hell were you thinking? You almost ruined us.

Vex: I'm sorry. I...if I stop, even for a moment, everything I feel about Percy comes rushing back.

Vax: Like I said, I'm with you. But this only works if you're with me, too.

Vex: I know. And I am.

YN: Better be before more of them come.

The witcher fires an arrow at the pirate with his crossbow. But the rest of the pirates from the ship saw the trio.

2ndPirate: Cut the mooring! Launch the ship!

Vax: Well, so much for doing this quietly.

YN: Less talk, more catching that ship!

They run towards the ship as a handful of pirates try to stop them. But when they got close to the ship, it was about to leave and Vax got pinned by a chokehold.

Vax: Guys, a little...help!

Vex: Shit. (To YN.) Give me a clear shot.

YN nods and runs towards the pirate tk cut his leg who yells and is forced to let go of Vax before Vex shoots him with an arrow.

Vax: Thanks, guys.

Vex helps up her brother while YN sees the ship escape.

YN: The ship left. But we can still catch it before they notice us.

Vex: Then let's go!

Before they could go, YN stops them for a moment to speak to Vex.

YN: If we're doing this, then you will have to follow my plan. Or we won't have a chance against those pepperboxes.

Vex was hesitant at the moment. But despite her recklessness, Vex knows she has to trust the witcher if they were to have a chance against Ripley and the pirates.

Vex: What's your plan?

After the witcher shared his plan, they pursued the ship with the twins heading to the ship from flight and once they got there, they sneakily made their way on the ship until they heard Ripley voice.

Ripley: Welcome aboard.

They look up and see Ripley appears at the helm with her own vestige.

Vex: (Glares.) Ripley.

Ripley: (Smirk.) At your service.

Before the twins could fight, they got surrounded by pirates aiming their guns at them.

Vax: Shit.
