Percy POV

Its been a day since we began building a trap against Umbrasyl. It wasn't easy at first but in the end, we've completed. However, that's only the easy part. The hard part is to lure him towards us in an ambush. Right now, everyone is doing their best to hide the trap from Umbrasyl spotting it.

Percy: Everyone ready?

They all nod and grunt in approval as Grog grabs the torch.

Grog: Okay, let's slay a dragon.

Grog drops the torch and the wooden tower lights up to get Umbrasyl attention.

We all then quickly hide in cover underground at each side of the trap thanks to Keyleth earth magic. She then uses her magic again to cover us from being spotted.

Keyleth: 20 half giants, Four vestiges, and one Percy trap. (Worried.) Why do I feel like that's not enough?

Percy: As long as Umbrasyl steps on the pressure plate...it will work.

Pike: And if it doesn't?

Grog: (Chuckles.) Then all hell breaks loose.

Suddenly I notice YN's medallion started to vibrate aggressively before he holds it.

YN: He's near....ready yourselves.

Vex POV

While everyone is hiding underneath the ground, I hid on a tree branch to keep a look out for Umbrasyl. Suddenly my head begins to ring louder as I hear a dragon roaring. I spotted him flying above before he lands near and approaches by foot.

Umbrasyl: (Growls.) Their smallest offering yet. You are wise not to show your faces today!

While Umbrasyl looks around, I notice he was holding a vestige on his shoulder, one where the Sphinx gave us. Umbrasyl walks towards the trap and now all that's left is him stepping on the pressure plate in order to trigger it. But then I notice Umbrasyl became suspicious the moment he stops and notice the pressure plate.

Vex: (Whispers.) Damit.

Umbrasyl is about to fly and I had to act quick before its too late. I pull my arrow and take aim, this is out only chance to trap him. I release the arrow as it fly and hits the wooden box to cause it to fall on the pressure plate.

3rd POV

The moment the box landed on it, the trap triggered and successfully trap Umbrasyl before he could even take off.

This signals Keyleth to quickly remove the stones for everyone as they fire arrows attach with ropes over Umbrasyl. Once that was done, every herdsmen grabs the ropes and pull with everything they got to reinforce the trap to prevent the dragon from escaping.

Grog: Keep the dragon down!

Umbrasyl fun his head towards the herd and prepares to breathe acid until Scanlan cuts him off with lightning.

Scanlan: 🎶 Lightning in your face! 🎶

Keyleth uses vines to hold Umbrasyl's head and shuts his mouth with it while Pike hits her construct mace to the ground. Causing a yellow beam to hit the dragons head from above.

Pike: (Smirk.) Going somewhere?

YN throws multiple spears at the dragon while Vax does the same thing with great speed. The open wounds the Vax made gave Vex the opportunity to fire arrows at the wound before it created vines to pin him down while YN taps the spear to the ground and the spears attached to Umbrasyl exploded. But the dragons hide was too thick and tough.

YN: Damit, not enough!

Vex: Don't hold back! We've got him right where we-

Out of anger, Umbrasyl uses all his strength to free himself and destroys the trap as the acid rain above everyone close. Pike uses her shield to protect Scanlan and Keyleth while YN did the same with his magic for Percy and Vax.

Umbrasyl: My power cannot be contained.

Umbrasyl then turns his whole body invisible where it surprises everyone.

YN: Oh fuck.

Percy: That's new.

Herdsmen: Where'd he go?

2nd herdsmen: Can't see shit.

3rd: Herdsmen: I can't see!

Zanror: (Raise his sword.) To blood!

They yell and charge but then the ones behind Zanror were wipe out by the acid rain.

YN: Everyone get back, keep your distance!

Percy: Damit!

Umbrasyl blasted acid as they fall back while others died by it. Vex tries to find an open shot by finding the source of the acid. But she notice it was approaching her fast.

Vex: Shit! (Grabs the broom.) Valentia!

Vex easily avoids the acid with her broomstick. However, Umbrasyl continues to slaughter the herds one by one. Keyleth and Pike ran to avoid the acid, but a drop of it hit Keyleth ankle as yells in pain before she fell.

Pike: Keyleth!

Keyleth quickly created a rock to block the acid. Umbrasyl focus on Keyleth and Pike with his acid. Trapping them until a spear hits near his neck before it exploded by YN's lucky throw against an invisible dragon.

YN: Get the fuck away from them ya pissy acid fuck!

Umbrasyl growls and charges at him. YN couldn't see him except the dragons footprints approaching him. As soon as it got close, YN quickly cast a large Yrden underneath the foot prints before he runs off. Unfortunately, it didn't last longer as Umbrasyl easily breaks the spells.

Umbrasyl: Pathetic.

Before he could go after the witcher, he spotted Grog charging at him with the gauntlet vestige. The dragon easily avoids Grogs punches as he misses.

Umbrasyl: Can't hit what you can't see.

Grog continue to punch everyone and not a single hit.

Umbrasyl: But I can see you.

Grog saw the acid and quickly dodges it. However, the acid was going for Vax who's running away from it. Vax saw Scanlan still standing and doing nothing at the moment.

Vax: Scanlan!

Vax grabs him before they run to cover from the acid.

Vax: You trying to get yourself killed!?

Scanlan: Sorry, I just...I got shit to prove.

Vax: (Scoff.) You? I found out I'm the champion of the Matron of Ravens.

Scanlan: I found out I'm a father.

Vax: (Surprise.) Oh uh...(Sigh.) You win.

More of acid came at them but they're still safe from it. Just then Scanlan has a plan.

Scanlan: Okay, look, I got a plan, but its fucking crazy.

Vax: Well, those are the best kind.

Scanlan: We need to get inside that dragon.

Vax: (Shocking.) What? Inside? Through a mouth full of acid? No way!

Scanlan: There is a way....The other way.

It was at this moment he knew....

Meanwhile at the battlefield. Vex was flying around finding an opening, but she couldn't, not while the dragon is invisible.

YN: Vex!

She spotted YN who manage to got on the invisible dragon from behind. He then cut his had to bleed before running towards the dragons head while marking to where Umbrasyl is. But the dragon shake his head to successful get YN off of his head as he landed next to Grog. Fortunately, YN's blood gave Vex a chance to spot the dragon.

Vex: Got you!

Vex fires an lightning arrow at Umbrasyl's head, destroying his invisibility with it. The dragon is now exposed and this gave Grog the opportunity to punch him multiple times at his face until he knocks the dragon down. Just then Vex notice her brother and Scanlan are charging towards Umbrasyl with great speed.

Vex: (Gasp.) Where are they going?

Scanlan: 🎶 Scanlan's hand! 🎶

Scanlan created a hand construct to wrap its fingers on both of them.

They both scream and embrace to the oblivion. And that oblivion.....

Is Umbrasyl's buttock.

This made everyone disgusted as they saw everything that just happened.

Pike: Oh god....

Grog & YN:

YN: .....What...the fuck....did that just happened?

Meanwhile with Vax and Scanlan. As they got inside the dragon, they ended up to the dragons stomach.

Scanlan: I didn't actually think that would work.

Vax: Eh, it really shouldn't have.

They get back up before Scanlan grabs the sword and cast it to stay still on its own.

Vax: (Smirk.) Right, let's see this fucker try to fly away now.

Outside of the dragon. Umbrasyl tries to move but he roars from pain in his stomach by the sword.

Scanlan: (Laugh.) You leave when Scanlan Shorthalt tells you to leave!

Umbrasyl struggles to move but it continues to hurt him from the inside.

Pike: He's down. (Creates a mace.) Hit him with everything we got!

They hot everything they got against the dragon. Keyleth uses the vines to hold the dragon down while Vex fly up to the sky while Grog is holding on. Once he let go of the broom, he falls directly to Umbrasyl and knocking him down with a punch combined with his falling speed.

Umbrasyl: (Growls.) You....cannot contain me. You will not!

Umbrasyl gets up and feels the pain. But it didn't stop him as he pushes himself and finally break free from the sword. Worse comes to worst, Scanlan and Vax are trapped inside of his stomach as Scanlan was knocked out.

Vax: Scanlan!

Back outside, Umbrasyl spread his wings before flying up.

Umbrasyl: (Laugh.) Failures. I have your vestige, and I will possess them all!

Umbrasyl laughs before taking off.

Vex: We can't let them get away!

YN quickly grabs a rope and ties it on his spear.

YN: Grog!

Grog nods before YN tosses the spear to him. He then throws it and successfully hits the dragons back as they both pull to anchor Umbrasyl down.

YN: You're not leaving that easily!

But they then got pulled with the dragon as they hold on tight.

YN: I didn't thought of this sooner!

Grog: Got a plan!?

YN: Honestly, I don't have one right now! How bout you?

Grog: Well....we can always yell while holding on the rope to our dear life.

YN: ....

Grog: ....

YN: (Sigh.) Oh what the hell, throw it all out then.

They both scream while holding on the rope as their life depend on it while the rest just watched the dragon getting away.

Vex: Oh, no....
