3rd POV

After the Battle of the Westruun, everybody celebrating their victory in the building and drinking ales. We see Scanlan chugging the ale before throwing it away.

Herdsmen: Oi, I almost killed you out there.

Scanlan: (Smirk.) I know, I nearly shot myself.

Herdsmen: Me too!

They all laugh until one of them lifts Scanlan and carries him to the stage.

2nd herdsmen: (Grin.) Give us a tune to celebrate!

Everyone encourage him by cheering him up as he smirks.

Scanlan: Okay, okay. An oldie but a goodie. To the end of Kevdak and the start of something new. (Grabs his lute.) Boys?

The band nods and prepare to play the music.

While Scanlan is singing, Keyleth, Vex, YN, and Pike were at a table drinking while having a conversation about their adventure.

Keyleth: So then Vex and Vax saw their dad and yeesh, it was awkward.

YN: Not to mentioned it wasn't a warm reunion.

Vex: And blah, blah, blah, blah, here we are.

Pike: W-wait, what about the vestiges? Was it hard to get?

Vex: No, no. It was easy. (Drinks.) So easy.

YN: Actually, some tree guy try to seduce Vex but she kick his ass. He was like: "I want your heart." And she was like: "Fuck you! My heart belongs to-" ow!

Vex shuts him up by smacking his head with the cup while Pike laughs.

Vex: That never happened!

YN: You're right, it didn't. Because you killed him.

Pike: What about you? How did you get that cool ring vestige.

YN: (Smirks.) Now this I can tell. We arrive at a large lake and we couldn't swim inside. So we decided to split up to find any clues, and that's where when Vex and I face the Graphorn.

Pike: (Surprise.) No way! That giant creature you rode on back in the fight?

YN: Heck yeah, at first we were fighting it. But then we came to understanding where we made a bond. After that, she guided us for the vestige and boom!

YN summons the spear to show off.

YN: The Ironbreaker has been claimed!

Pike: Now that was pretty cool.

YN: No kidding, crazy part in the Fey realm was the whole realm is against Vax because of the vestige he's wearing. Right, Vax?....Vax?

Vax POV

I was leaning on the wall while watching everyone enjoying their celebration. It was happy to see they're all having a good time. But it was then cut short when I notice the feather was falling.

Everything went dark and I hear echoes. I look up and see the Matron is up on the rooftop, watching me. This sent me chills until I was then interrupted by YN.

YN: Hey, Vax. Why the long face?

I look up to see where she it but she's no longer there.

YN: You look like you've seen a ghost. (Cheers him up.) Come on, a little bit of ale wouldn't hurt.

YN offers me a cup of ale and to join with the rest.

Vax: Uh, that's all right. Maybe some other time.

YN POV

Vax walks away as if he wasn't in the mood.

YN: Yeesh, talk about party and drinking ales.

The fight must've taken a lot out of him. Just hope its doesn't have to do with the death lady. Just then, I was interrupted by Keyleth who approaches me.

Keyleth: Hey, I've been thinking and...well...do you want to dance? With me?

This made me blush and nervous that for once in my life, I'm being asked to dance with a girl. To be honest, I've never dance with a girl at all. I drink the ale down and putting it away before clearing my throat.

YN: I'd be honor to dance with you. But uh, to be honest, I've never dance with someone before.

Keyleth: (Smile.) Well, we can always try.

I offer her a hand to join her for dancing and she happily accepted it. Keyleth and I head to the center and we dance. I couldn't help but seeing how she's so beautiful with a smile, its a breath taking that I couldn't face, no matter how many monster I fought against.

3rd POV

After they finished dancing. Everybody including Vox Machina cheers.

Keyleth: (Smirk.) You sure dance pretty well.

YN: (Smiles.) You dance beautifully as the flames.

Pike: Huh, never though a witcher would be good at dancing.

Vex: Though I have to say, they dance pretty good together.

Pike then notice Kaylie joins Scanlan in singing where she got a bit jealous. Meanwhile with the others. Zanror, Grog, and Percy are discussing about the situation.

Grog: Right. We need to take out Umbilical.

Zanror: (Correction.) Umbrasyl.

Grog: Fuck. Him, too. (Smirk.) But now's our chance. We got the herd on our side.

Zanror: (Smirk.) Ooh, I've been itching for payback. Maybe its time the Conclave feels the might of the Herd of Storms.

Grog: To glory?

Zanror: To blood.

They both chug their ales while Percy did the unforgivable where the punishment is fate worse than death. He dumps the ale away before they're finish drinking.

Zanror: Now, the dark one comes to town every couple of days to collect his tithe. Might be a good opportunity for a trap.

Percy: (Grin.) A trap, you say? I could sketch up a few diagrams, work out the proper leverage and counterbalance.

Zanror nods before announcing everyone to listen.

Zanror: My herd!

Everyone stop at what they're doing and listen to him.

Zanror: I know we long to roam again. But we claim Westruun as our home for one more night. (Grin.) At dawn, we shall wet our blades against the hide of a dragon!

Everyone cheer until Percy interrupted.

Percy: Uh, we might need a little more time than that. My contraptions tend to have a lot of gears and moving bits-

Grog: And there's the drinking. We need more time for drinking!

Zanror: At noon, we shall wet out blade!

Grog: At dawn we plan!

Herdsmen: Wait, we got to wake up at dawn!?

Percy: Its fine, we can discuss the timeline later.

The herd cheers as they continue to party for the night even when Scanlan and Kaylie finished singing and went in a room for privacy.

Vax comes back and and notice Scanlan is at the balcony. He joins him and they trade their situation to each other and have a nice chat. Back with the others, some of them are getting drunk except for YN due to his immunity.

YN: Uh, you sure you guys are okay?

Keyleth: (Drunk.) Pff of course I am. I mean don't I look like I'm fine?

YN: Okay, I think you have enough ale for one night.

Keyleth then got closer to YN face who leans back while they're looking at each others eyes.

Keyleth: Hic. You got kitty eyes. (Laugh.)

Keyleth then was about to puke but luckily YN quickly uses the cup as a bucket for her before she threw up while he pats her back.

YN: Just let it out, Keyleth.

Keyleth: (Groans.) Oh, gods, I think I prefer the color puking.

YN: Okay, let's go take you to rest for the night.

YN helps her up and carries her to one of the rooms. Once they enter, he gently lay her down on the bed before taking off her shoes.

YN: Okay, get some rest Keyleth.

He was about to leave but Keyleth stop him by grabbing his wrist.

Keyleth: Hey. Hic. I have a favor to ask.

YN: Uh...

Keyleth: It's not too much to ask. Hic. But can you make me feel better?

YN: Well...I guess I could do something.

🍋Lemon🍋

Back at the party, everybody left to sleep and Vex went to a room until she hears someone in one of the rooms.

???: Oh gods, you know how to use that?

???: Don't worry, I'm pretty sure. Though I'm sorry to hurt your eye.

???: Its fine, I can't wait to taste it.

Vex blushes and tries to stop them by breaking in.

Vex: Hey! That's way too soon!

Suddenly she sees YN is cutting lemon to make lemonade for Keyleth where her eye was close because of the lemon. They were both staring at Vex confused.

YN: (Confused.) Too soon for lemonade?

Vex: (Tilts her head.) Wait, what?

Keyleth: YN was just making medicine with lemon to prevent me from getting a headache when I'm sleeping.

Vex: Uh....

YN: Wait, what were you thinking we were gonna do?

Vex: Oh, uh. Nothing. Nothing at all. Uh, have a good night both of you.

Vex closes the door before leaving.

Keyleth: What was that all about?

YN: I have no idea. Anyway, its all done.

He hands her the lemonade and she accepts it before drinking it.

Keyleth: (Surprise.) Wow, this is really good.

YN: Yup, good stuff. Its way better than sex-

Suddenly Keyleth knocks him out with the cup and he lost conscious. Soon she drags him to the bed where none live to tell the tales.

Time skip to dawn.

Everyone was gathered where Keyleth and YN were the last.

Vax: What took you two so long? And what's with the bandage wrapped on your head?

YN: Uh, it takes time for me to gear up. And I fell.

Vax: Wait, is that rope marks on your neck?

YN: Nows not the time, we need to hear what they have to say.

Grog: Right. Listen up. If we're going up against a dragon, we need a good plan.

Zanror: So...do you uh...have one?

Grog: (Confused.) Have one what?

Percy: Perhaps I can be of assistance.

Percy steps in before explaining the plan.

YN: (Whispers.) Let me know when the talking part if done.

Pike nods before YN leaves.

YN POV

I left outside and at on a rooftop in case if I spot Umbrasyl above. I know that Umbrasyl isn't coming today, but I highly doubt its true. Every outcome could have unexpected ends.

Just then I spotted Vax leaving and heads somewhere before Vex followed him quietly. I wasn't sure what's Vax up to, but to my curiosity, I decided to follow them.

Vax POV

I couldn't help but leave and look for a way to speak with the Matron. I needed to find a way. So I follow the ravens that lead me to the cemetery.

Vax: You can come out, Vex. I heard you four blocks ago.

My sister appears out of hiding.

Vex: Ugh, don't flatter yourself. I wasn't the one making that racket.

Keyleth appears out of hiding.

Keyleth: (Chuckles nervous.) Hi. Uh, wow, you guys are good. But in my defense, I was following YN.

Vex: Please, he wasn't following us.

???: Even wolves know how to be patiently quiet in the dark.

We see YN appear out of the shadow.

Keyleth: Wow, that was unexpected.

Vex approaches me to speak.

Vex: So, care to tell us why you're sneaking out?

I was quiet for the moment until I decided to confess.

Vax: The Matron of Ravens. She's in my head, calling. So, I thought I'd try answering.

Vex: We'll come with you.

YN: Wait, this could be between him and the Matron. He'll have to do this alone.

Vex: But I put you in this place.

Vax: (Comforts.) No one put me here, and I need to find these answers on my own.

Vex: (Worried.) Don't go far from me.

I nod before I enter alone. The place was empty.

Vax: Hello?

I walk ahead while looking around the place.

Vax: Strange.

Just then the door closes and I look back to see mysterious people.

More of them came and they didn't say anything as they walk ahead. So I decided to follow them to where they lead me to some sort of chambers where there's appear to be blood pool.

Vax: I don't understand. Where do I-

I look back and they weren't there anymore like they've vanished. I wasn't sure what to do next as I got closer to the blood pool.

ax: If there's some sort of pact between us, I'm here to honor it. What would you have of me?

I didn't get an answer. So, I went under the blood pool and hold by breath. Nothing happened as I struggle to hold my breath until it popped in my head. I gave in and let myself drown.

3rd POV

Before they could leave, YN stops Vax where he was confused.

YN: Whoa, whoa, whoa, we're not going anywhere till you get the blood off of you.

Keyleth: Why?

YN: Last thing we want is Umbrasyl smells blood on Vax.

Vex: (To Vax.) He does got a good point.

Short time skip after washing.

The four of them return and saw that Percy is continuing speaking while the herds are being tortured.

YN: (Gasp.) By the gods, they've been tortured by the curse.

Vax: Uh, he's just talking-

YN: (Smack his head.) Shut your face! Don't give in by his voice, or you'll become the victim in this curse! This I know too well when learning as a kid.

Percy: And so, addition of pressure activates the coils of the cross post, which, when couple with the jaw hinge tension screw, delivers the restraint, anchoring the target to the baseplate. (Smirk.) Simplicity itself.

Everyone: .........

Herdsmen: Uh...what?

Grog then breaks the curse.

Grog: You. Dig. There.

The herd finally understands it and they all get to work.

Percy: (Sigh.) The digging isn't the important part. Here, pay attention to how the trap will-

Percy accidentally triggered the trap and caught his hand.

Percy: AAAH! SON OF A BITCH!

YN: Pfft hahaha! Percy fell on his own trap!

Percy fell while a Goliath passes by.

3rd herdsmen: (Laugh.) He's not very smart, is he?

Zanror: Grog.

Zanror comes back with a ax for his cousin.

Zanror: This belongs to you now.

Grog: Wh...Kevdak's Bloodax?

Zanror: (Nods.) May you wield it more honorably than my father.

Grog leans towards the ax before talking to it.

Grog: I'm, do you talk?.... Nothing to say? Phew. (Grin.) I'll take it!

Grog happily takes the axe. Before Vox Machina gets ready, YN stops them.

YN: Hey guys, before we go fight a dragon, there's something I need to confess to you guys.

Pike: What is it?

YN: You might want to sit down. It'll be a lot to take in.

They did what he said as he did the same before he takes a deep breath.

YN: Ever since we met Osysa at Vasselheim, she knew about my past. One I kept it a secret even from my brothers. Its been in my head and I've been thinking about whether I would tell you guys the truth or not.

Keyleth: (Comforts.) Hey, we're here to hear the truth.

YN nods and takes a deep breath again.

YN: Okay, do you guys know the word "Reincarnation"?

Vex: Reincarnation?

Pike: Oh yeah, I've heard about it. Its where you're reborn with memories of your previous life.

YN: Yeah. But the truth is, I lied about how I ended up at the cart and that my village was raided. I was once in a world where it was almost like a future yet was the dark times.

Scanlan: (Surprise.) Wait, you're saying you died from another world and ended up reincarnated in the world before you came to this world?

YN: Yeah.

Grog: Um, I'm not following.

Percy: He died and got reborn again.

Vax: So that's what you were talking about when you mentioned a second chance.

YN: Yeah.

Vex: How did you died?

YN said nothing but looks at Percy as the others did the same.

YN: It was someone who wielded a weapon like his.
