The Unknown
Over a course of time, Anakin Skywalker has grown to master his magical powers more and more each day.
Now, the Jedi knew they officially had four magical creatures in the Temple:
Anakin Skywalker, whose currently known abilities were chloropathy as well as strong spell casting
Carmine Jinn, who created various spells and changes whenever he sang and/or danced
Lamenta Jinn, who specialized in dreams, soothing, truth-seeking, and sleep-inducing magic as well as invisibility.
Finally, Gabriella Skywalker, who had a multitude of powers, but her best were healing, protection, and creation.
Because each of these people was both Force-sensitive and magical abilities, they needed to concentrate harder than any Jedi or Enchanted to find a balance between their bloodlines.
Today, as Anakin Skywalker has finally begun to master balancing his magical abilities with his connection to the Force, he fought in battle for Ringo Vinda with his daughter and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano, and they were aided by twin sister Jedi Masters Tiplee and Tiplar. The battle lasted for at least five rotations by now.
"I'll be old enough to be in the fourth grade by the time this is over if we don't keep moving." Gabby said.
The Republic was now mounting a desperate offensive to break the deadlock.
"Push forward!" Anakin commanded.
There were many blaster bolts being fired. Luckily, Princess Gabby created protective energy bubbles around them and their troops.
Together, the father and daughter used their chloropathic powers to grow vines that nabbed the droids, as well as carnivorous plants that gobbled them up.
"Tighten our flank!" Ordered one of the Tip Twins, as some called them.
The clones held their shields up as droids with their own energy shields came. But, the Jedi used the Force to slowly place electro-bombs within those shield, disabling the droids. And it was safe to keep moving.
"Don't get to comfortable," said Anakin. "This battle hasn't been won yet."
"Master Skywalker, we must get to the command post," said Tiplee, the red twin. "Admiral Trench has sent for reinforcements. We must take this post before they arrive."
Anakin looked at the holo-map and declared it time for phase two. He explained the plan: Tiplar would take her men down a passageway, and Tiplee would move along another.
"They'll have to divide forces to counter us." Anakin said. "And when they do, Rex and I will press through the middle. If we time it right, we'll all converge on this spot at the same time and the droids won't know what hit them."
"If we're making a run, we'll need backup." A clone pointed out. "My men are severely depleted."
"Fives, you and Tup take ten of your best men and support Master Tiplar."
"We're on it, Sir." Fives said.
Just then, Tup seemed to have a headache.
"Are you okay?" Gabby asked as she noticed.
"Yeah, I... I just..." Tup began.
"Come on. This is a textbook battle." Fives said. "We've run through this a million times before in training."
"Yeah, I know. I just..." Tup held his head. "I, I don't feel like myself."
"What do you mean?" Fives asked.
Tup seemed to look at Master Tiplar oddly.
Gabby stood up on Carousella's back to make herself tall enough to give Tup a kiss to hopefully heal his headache, and it mostly distracted him. Then, Gabby rushed off to catch up with her father.
"Come on, brother. Don't want to be left behind." Fives said, getting ready to go.
Master Tiplar's team was the first at the scene, and soon Tiplee and Anakin's did too. But all the while, something was wrong with Tup. Somehow, the princess's kiss didn't seem to work. The headache did go away at first, but then it just came back again. And then, before Tup knew what he was doing, he shot Master Tiplar to death.
"Sister!" Tiplee gasped. And she rushed to her sister.
"Hold your positions!" Anakin shouted, as he grew a few vines, and Gabby grew tons of roses with huge thorns to attack the droids.
More and more droids came in, so Gabby started to use her weather power to blow a really strong wind.
"Everyone hold onto something!" Gabby shouted, and she grew some very strong branches for everyone to hold onto as she tornadoed the droids and hit them with lightning bolts.
"Fives," shouted Anakin over the loud storm. "I don't know what's going on, but you are responsible for Tup now. Get him back to base. I want answers."
While the droids were distracted, the others had time to fall back and retreat to safety.
"Why? Why would he do this?" Tiplee asked, devastated by the loss of her sister.
"That's what we're gonna find out." Ahsoka said.
Gabby stayed with Tiplee to comfort her, while Carousella went with Anakin, Fiesta, and Ahsoka to check on Tup.
"How's he doing, Rex?" Anakin asked.
"I'm not sure General." Rex said. "It seems like he just snapped."
"My dad has told me about guards who lost their way," said Carousella. "but this is beyond the insanity of some of those stories I've heard."
"Tup, can you hear me?" Rex asked.
"Yes, Captain." Tup said.
"What happened?"
"What do you mean?" Tup sounded confused.
"Do you have any idea what you've done?"
Tup seemed to fall under some sort of trance, and repeated "Good soldiers follow orders" over and over.
"What is he talking about?" Ahsoka asked.
"¿Qué está pasando con él?" Fiesta said. "What's going on with him?"
"I have no idea, Commander." said Rex.
A clone trooper slowly waved a hand in front of Tup's face, who then said "Kill the Jedi." And then he tried to attack Master Tiplee, who held him in a Force-choke and Force pushed him against the wall. And Anakin tied some vines around Tup like Gabby taught him.
"We have to get him back to the medical bay before he hurts anyone else." Anakin said.
Meanwhile, Count Dooku alerted his master Darth Sidious to tell him that there was a "complication with one of their assets."
"A clone trooper has executed one of the Jedi generals." Dooku explained.
"And you believe this is indicative of our programming?" Sidious asked.
"I do, my lord. But I cannot be certain."
"It is pertinent we ascertain if this is an isolated event, a failure in this particular clone's programming. Otherwise my plans may be ruined. Seize the clone immediately."
"Yes, my master."
Tup was brought to a medical station for examination. He was strapped to a table.
"Fives, what's happening to me?" Tup asked.
"You don't remember?" Fives answered.
"No."
"You murdered General Tiplar." Ahsoka said.
But, Tup didn't believe it.
"What? No. That's not possible. I... I would never..." Tup seemed like he was about to have a nervous breakdown.
A medical droid injected Fives with something that made him stop squirming and jerking around and put him to sleep.
"What do you think happened?" Rex asked Anakin.
"Did you check all of his scans?" Anakin asked Kix.
"Well, all of his scans are clear." said the clone. "As far as I can tell, this is a combat-related stress. It seems he's had some sort of breakdown."
"Kix, you should know better." Rex said. "We were designed to withstand any stress."
"I'm not detecting emotional stress from where I'm standing," said Carousella. "To me, it seems more like... almost like he was under a spell."
"I agree." Fives said.
"About a spell?" Ahsoka asked, confused.
"No. Tup and I have been through a lot together. He doesn't seem to remember what happened. It's like he's sick or drugged."
"Well, it could be a virus, a toxin." Kix said.
Carousella sniffed Tup and got his mouth open. "Definitely not the parasite we found before on Geonosis."
"I can't be certain." Kix finished.
"But I think I might know someone who can." Gabby said. "Carousella, I need you to get Lamenta and Crescent pronto. If we wanna know the truth, Lamenta should be able to see it."
"Gabby, you go with Carousella." Anakin said. "Ahsoka will contact you if we change locations before you get back."
"Okay, Daddy." Gabby said. And she climbed onto Carousella and rushed off to retrieve her cousin.
Later, Tup was placed onto a ship to be taken to Kamino to be checked out. But as they left, they were attacked by a Separatist fleet of buzz droids. The clones fought as hard as they could against the droids, but many were killed or lost in space, and Tup was taken away. Anakin was alerted on this matter, and by that time, Gabby arrived with her cousin and her uncle, who found this as a seriously dangerous matter Lamenta was not ready to face on her own.
Anakin and Crescent put on space suits and went to investigate the ship with Rex and Fives. It looked like a graveyard of clones floating in space.
Anakin soon spotted Tup's gurney, and sure enough, the mentally ill clone was missing.
"The restraints have been cut." Anakin said.
"The clankers took Tup? Why?" asked Rex.
"They must be responsible for whatever's happening to him." Fives said.
"That doesn't make sense." Crescent said. "Why would they kidnap Tup if they were the ones who did anything to him?"
"All I know is, they went to great lengths to capture him, and that means something." Anakin said.
"We have got to get him back," growled Fives, worried about his friend.
"Don't worry. We'll find a way."
Crescent accompanied Anakin and his two troops to spacewalk to where Tup's signal originated. Since Crescent's suit was made to fit with his wings, he could easily maneuver himself as he did with gravity,
The four guys saw many droids and starfighters. And, they also spotted Tup.
"This is stretching it, even for you, Sir." Rex said.
"Rex, you're beginning to sound like Obi-Wan." Anakin chuckled.
"All your missing is," Crescent began, then imitated an English accent. "talking like this."
Anakin kept from laughing and asked Rex, "You got a better idea?"
"Look, I don't doubt you could pull it off, but I'm just not sure Fives and I would be around to see it happen. And Crescent would stick out like a sore thumb."
"I've got an idea." Fives said.
"Well, let's hear it. Quickly!" Anakin said.
Fives attacked a grappling hook to his gun.
"Grappling gun. Good thinking." smiled Anakin.
"That's why he's the ARC trooper." Rex said.
The clones got ready to use their grappling guns. Anakin held onto Rex, while Crescent got ready to fly as fast as he could, and they managed to get themselves on top of the ship.
Anakin, the clones, and Crescent, got onto the ship, and battled the droids that guarded Tup, who was restrained to a new gurney.
Anakin managed to catch the droid commander and held his lightsaber to the droid's neck.
"What's going on? What do you know about this clone?" Anakin asked, demanding answers.
"I am programmed to resist intimidation." The droid said. Then Anakin sliced his head off.
Tup started to breathe heavily.
"How is he?" Anakin asked.
"Not well. Not well at all." Fives confirmed. "I think he's dying, Sir."
"We have to get him to the girls." Anakin said. "Crescent, contact Gabby and Lamenta and tell them we got Tup and he needs immediate medical attention."
Anakin and his team got Tup to a ship. Gabby managed to use her healing magic to hopefully stabilize Tup, while Lamenta placed her hands on his head and started to use her magic to try and find the truth to his condition. But so far, she didn't have anything clear enough. So, Tup was to be taken to Kamino to have by-the-book procedures done.
"I hope they can help him," sighed Gabby, feeling so worried for Tup, and for Fives as well.
"They'll do everything they can, little one." Carmine said, placing a comforting hand on his niece's shoulder. "All we can do now is hope for the best."
