It was never easy being a Jedi in training, or a princess training to become a queen someday. Either of those was hard on its own but try being both at the same time.

Young Gabriella Skywalker felt pretty happy with her life now. Aside from the Clone Wars going on right now, she remained high-spirited and optimistic. For her parents, she gave them both something to fight for, and someone who always welcomed them when they come after being gone for even a short time.

Gabby was growing a lot and gaining a lot of new powers, smarts, and skills. Recently, she discovered all kinds of new tricks she could do with her elemental powers. Her favorite had to be making rainbows she could slide on, growing plants that were big and strong enough to play on, or on hot days, turning water into giant waterslides. But the one power she hadn't unlocked yet was using the Force.

Since before she could remember, Gabby had seen lots of Jedi, including her father, use the Force to levitate objects, jump really high, or trick the minds of others. Gabby wanted to be able to do things like that, but even after she turned three, she still couldn't even levitate a feather, not even when she tried adding 'wingardium leviosa' like in a book she was read. Anakin and the other Jedi told Gabby that she would get her powers in time, but the young princess was starting to think the Force was not on her side.

Today, young Princess Gabby was in her mother, Padme Amidala's office, napping in a chair, while her brother Boba sat in a chair reading, Boba's unicorn Remix was listening to music on his headphones, and Gabby's guardian alicorn Carousella lay on the floor close by.

Anakin was sitting in a chair next to Padme's desk, relaxing. He was on meditative leave for a couple weeks. And he had an idea.

"We should go away together," said Anakin. "I know a place far away from here where no one would recognize us. It'll be like a family vacation."

"I-I can't, Ani." Padme said.

"What do you mean you can't?" Anakin scoffed. "It's only two weeks. We'll be back before anyone notices we're gone."

"Knowing your kids," said Carousella, looking at her sleeping friend. "I'm pretty sure everyone would notice they're gone when nothing crazy happens for more than fifteen minutes."

"Hey." Boba whined.

"I have to bring this bill before the Senate." Padme said, ignoring the horse's remark. "It's important."

"Uh-huh. More important than the way you feel about me?" Anakin smirked.

Padme sighed. "Not more important. But important. The work I do- the work we both do is in service to the Republic to protect those who would otherwise be powerless to protect themselves."

"Of course, but those are ideals." said Anakin. "Isn't our love more important to you?"

"But I-"

"No, no but. To me, there's nothing more important than the way I feel about you. Nothing."

Padme started to get up from her chair.

"Anakin, don't be so-"

"Oh, you don't believe me."

"I didn't say I-"

"I'll prove it. Just watch." Anakin took his lightsaber off his belt and held it up to his wife. "When I finished constructing my lightsaber, Obi-Wan said to me, 'Anakin, this weapon is your life.' This weapon is my life."

Padme initially rejected the lightsaber, but he gently took her hand and placed the weapon in it.

"Wow," said Padme, sounding impressed. "It's heavier than I thought."

"It's yours," smiled Anakin. "Believe me now?"

Padme sighed. "If all you wanna do is make fun of me, I think you should just go."

"That's not what I want. Not at all." Anakin embraced his wife.

And the couple embraced each other as they shared a passionate kiss.

If Gabby were awake, she might have found the scene romantic. Carousella and Boba just silently gagged.

But what none of them knew then was that some serious danger was coming their way.

Unbeknownst to anyone in the building, dangerous bounty hunters including Aurra Sing and Cad Bane, were invading the Senate building, and they were up to no good. Already, they took out many guards, as well as some droids, and were sneaking through the halls, searching for their targets.

"You know what to do?" Bane as a Patrolian criminal who approached a keyboard.

"I'll figure it out." said the Patrolian.

"You better not fail me, bubble brain."

"Don't worry. I'll have the power off in no time."

"The rest of you come with me." said Bane, leaving the room.

Meanwhile, Padme and Anakin were still making out, until they heard Threepio entering with Senator Bail Organa.

"Are we interrupting something?" Bail said, keeping his composure despite his surprise to see Anakin there.

The couple blushed in embarrassment, and Anakin just walked over to Gabby, carefully picked her up, and sat down, holding his sleeping daughter in his lap.

"Just... here looking after the little ones." Anakin said, being quiet so he wouldn't wake his daughter, knowing how cranky she could get.

"I apologize for my abruptness, Senator." Bail Organa said.

"How good to see you, Senator Organa." Padme said. "What is it?"

"Senator Philo has called a meeting in the lobby before we vote on the Enhanced Privacy Invasion Bill."

"Right. Privacy Invasion Bill."

"We must hurry if we are to stop the vote."

Padme looked at her husband carrying their daughter, who was still napping.

"Don't worry, Padme. I've got the kids." Anakin said. "They'll be fine."

"They're in good hands and hooves." Carousella added.

"Coming, Senator Skywalker?" Bail asked.

"Yes, of course." Padme said before leaving her husband to watch the children.

Padme, Bail, and many other senators gathered in the lobby to discuss the Enhanced Privacy Invasion Bill

"We cannot allow the Chancellor to move this Enhanced Privacy Invasion Bill forward." Bail Organa said.

"We're all in agreement, then." said Senator Philo.

Then a blaster was fired by none other than Cad Bane.

"Morning Senators," said the bounty hunter. "You should all consider yourselves to be in my power."

The senators found themselves surrounded by more bounty hunters, some organics, some droids.

"As long as everybody behaves, this will be quick and painless." Bane promised "Do nothing, and it will all be over soon."

"I don't know who you think you are," said Philo. "but I, for one, have no intention of listening to this kind of insolence."

Senator Philo tried to leave, only to be shot in the back by Bane, which terrified the other senators.

"All right then," said Bane. "If you'll all gather at the center of this lovely atrium, my co-workers and I will relieve you of any communication devices."

"I see five of them here in the room," whispered Padme. "If we-"

"What are you going to do?" Bail interrupted. "It's not like we carry weapons."

And Padme remembered she'd left Anakin's lightsaber on her desk, so she didn't even have that to use.

Chancellor Palpatine, meanwhile, was met by Senator Free Taa, who alerted him of a transmission from Cad Bane

"Sorry to bother you, Chancellor, but I have taken control of the East Wing of your Senate Building," Bane explained. "and the occupants are now my hostages. If you care about them, I'd advise you to free Ziro the Hutt from your detention center."

"You should know that the Republic does not take kindly to such threats." said the Chancellor. "If you have attempted such a foolhardy action as to kidnap a senator, I assure you that it will be met with appropriate force."

But Cad Bane was completely unfazed by him. And by now, a certain Patrolian just managed to turn off the power.

Meanwhile, Carousella played some soft music from her horn while Anakin peacefully hummed a lullaby as he cradled his peacefully sleeping daughter in his arms, when the lights suddenly went out, and the emergency power activated.

"What just happened?" Remix asked, standing up and removing his headphones.

"I don't know, but I'm gonna check it out." Anakin said, and that was when Gabby woke up in his arms with a yawn. "Oh, sorry, Princess. I didn't mean to wake you."

Anakin gently placed his daughter back on the chair.

"What's happening?" Gabby asked.

"I don't know yet. Stay right there. Boba, watch your sister. I'm going to see what's going on." Anakin said.

"I'll go with you," said Carousella. "Stay here, Gabby. You'll be okay."

The Senators, being threatened by the bounty hunters, were forced to give up their communication devices. But, one senator was worried about something else. Padme was really worried now. At least without the lightsaber, the bounty hunters wouldn't know her husband was there, and her children would be safe as well.

"Well, hello there, little lady." Bane said, wrapping his fingers around Padme's face. "And who might you be?"

"I am Padme Skywalker, Senator from Naboo, and I demand that you release us immediately. The Galactic Senate will not treat with terrorists."

That was when Anakin and Carousella arrived, both of them shocked to see what was happening, and worried.

"Ain't you awful young and pretty to be a senator?" Bane asked.

Unfortunately, Bane noticed Padme looking in her family's direction, and he fired at them.

"Skywalker? And Princess Gabriella's horse? After them!" Bane ordered. "Find the princess!"

But, one of the bounty hunters also had a feeling that if Gabby was around, perhaps a certain boy she knew was also there. And she still had a personal score to settle with him.

Some of the other bounty hunters ran through the halls, looking for Anakin, Carousella, and/or Gabby.

Anakin rode Carousella, who ran as fast as she could; they had to find Remix and the kids before the bounty hunters did.

Anakin tried to use his comm, only to find it utterly useless, as the bounty hunters cut off all outside communications.

Carousella stopped as she spotted a couple of bounty hunters down the hall. Anakin reached for his lightsaber, only to find it wasn't there anymore. So, when the bounty hunters shot at them, Carousella attacked them with magical blasts and let Anakin off her back to give him time to find his daughter and get communications out.

When Anakin got to where he'd left his children and Remix, he found that they weren't there anymore. He only found Gabby's bear sitting underneath the blanket she'd been sleeping under. So, he ran out to the hall and searched for them. Only, he ran into some bounty hunters. He reached for his lightsaber, only to find it wasn't on his belt.

"Uh oh."

He managed to dodge the shots and ran for his life and desperately searched for his children.

Gabby, Remix, and Boba walked down the hall, constantly looking around. It was dark and scary. It looked like a scary movie Gabby saw once, which her parents didn't know she'd seen.

"Mommy? Carousella?" Gabby whimpered. "Anybody?"

"We have to get help." Remix said. "Hop on!"

Boba and Gabby climbed onto Remix, and the unicorn began running to activate his horseshoes, only for them to run into a Weequay and IG droid bounty hunter. And when Remix tried to dodge the blaster fire, he dropped both the kids and disappeared in a flash as his horseshoes had already been activated.

"Remix!" the kids exclaimed.

Gabby and Boba had to split up in order to evade capture. Boba ran in one direction of the hall, and Gabby ran down the other.

Meanwhile, Anakin found a communications table. He opened up a panel and as quietly as possible, took out some wires and connected them to his communicator, managing to get out a signal.

"This is General Skywalker. Chancellor Palpatine, can you hear me?"

"My dear boy," said Palpatine. "I'm glad to know you're there and all right."

"What is going on down there?"

But, Anakin didn't know that two bounty hunters could hear him, and were headed his way.

Fortunately, he managed to hide behind the table and perform a Jedi mind trick on the Weequay.

"You have two more floors to check."

"Come on." said the Weequay. "We've got two more floors to check."

Once Anakin was sure the bounty hunters were gone, he quietly snuck out of the room and followed them.

"You take downstairs, I'll go up." said the Weequay. "We'll find those kids and meet on the other side."

Anakin inaudibly gasped. Now the bounty hunters were after his children! He had to hurry!

Gabby walked into a hall downstairs, fearing for her young life.

"Daddy? Boba?" Gabby called quietly. She was about to cry as she felt so scared and alone.

Gabby kept moving., and then screamed as she was met by the same IG droid. Fortunately, Anakin had been following that very same droid, and he tackled the droid and wrestled it to the ground before beating it to death with its own weapon.

"Gabby!" Anakin exclaimed. He quickly picked up Gabby and held her in a tight hug as she cried. "Are you okay?"

"No, I'm scared." Gabby whimpered.

"It'll be okay, Baby Girl. Where's your brother?"

"I don't know. We got separated running from the bounty hunters. Remix tried to get us out, but he dropped us before disappearing."

"Then let's hurry and find Boba before the bounty hunters do."

Anakin ran as fast as he could while carrying Gabby.

However, the other bounty hunter found the droid's corpse, and noticed there were no lightsaber cuts in it, which could only mean one thing.

The surviving member of the chase squad returned.

"What happened? Where's the droid?" Bane asked.

"The droid's gone. But there's good news." said the hunter. "The Jedi is unarmed."

"What?" Bane was filled with surprise and disbelief.

"It doesn't look like he has his lightsaber or that magical horse with him. And it appears that there are two children here. Both of Skywalker's brats. Saw them with my own eyes."

"Go. Bring him back to me and find those children." Bane said.

"No, please!" Padme said. "They're just children."

"One of which I have a score to settle with." Aurra cocked her gun.

Anakin kept running down the hall with Gabby in his arms. They tried to find Carousella, but didn't see her anywhere. There were no hoofprints in any of the carpet, and they didn't hear a whinny or any carousel music playing.

"Carousella must've gone for help too," Anakin hypothesized. "If she did, she'd better hurry."

"What are we gonna do, Daddy?" Gabby said.

"We'll be okay, Princess." Anakin said, holding his daughter close. "Daddy will keep you safe."

However, that was when another bounty hunter arrived, and lured Anakin to a closet, where the little guy locked himself in, and Anakin tried to open it.

The door wouldn't open no matter how hard Anakin tried to open it, but then he looked behind him when Gabby screamed again.

"Well, well, what have we here?" Taunted a bounty hunter.

Anakin used the Force to take the bounty hunter's blaster, and to get Gabby to the far side of the hall to give her a head start as he shouted for her to run for her life.

Meanwhile, Boba was also running for his young life, only to bump right into someone and gasp when he looked up and saw who it was.

"Remember me, Boba?" Aurra smirked.

Boba tried to get up and escape, but Aurra grabbed him roughly by the arm and held him tightly.

"So, you have a new father now." Aurra stated. "And a mommy as well. Let's see how long you last."

"No! Leave my family alone!" Boba said, trying to escape, but Aurra tightened her grip.

"They're not your real family. Neither was Jango. You're just an unaltered clone, and that's all you'll ever be."

And Aurra dragged Boba with her, the boy struggling to escape and screaming for help.

Gabby ran as her father told her, only to run into Aurra Sing, who held her brother, to her horror.

"Boba!"

"Good to see you, little Princess." Aurra said, aiming her gun. But Boba managed to grab her gun and start to hold her off.

"RUN!" Boba shouted at his sister.

Gabby ran as fast as she could into another hall where the bounty hunters wouldn't see as she quickly used a vine to get up and hide in an air vent, where the bounty hunters wouldn't be able to get to her. But, they did get Anakin.

"Tie your little pet up," said Aurra. "We'll bring him and his brat to Bane."

Anakin was dragged by his legs into the atrium in cuffs, and unconscious. Padme was horrified to see her husband like this, and Boba was thrown at her feet.

"Mom!" Boba cried as Padme pulled him tightly into her arms.

Anakin was brought before Cad Bane.

"Young Skywalker." Bane smirked. "Not so impressive without your lightsaber, are you, Jedi?" Bane then looked at Boba. "And how you have fallen so weak, Boba Fett. Where's the princess?"

"The little brat got away," Aurra said. "but she's somewhere. Unprotected."

"Forget about her. The little one won't dare go anywhere without her family." Bane said. "Toss Skywalker in with the others."

Anakin was thrown to the floor. Padme and Boba immediately went down to him.

Gabby carefully crawled through the vents, worried she would get lost in them like she had on Florum. Only, thankfully these vents weren't as dusty as those were. But then, she heard voices, and she followed them until she found one that led right to the lobby where her family and the other senators were. And she was not the least bit happy with what she saw. In fact, she was furious!

"What do I do?" Gabby wondered.

Using her magic would be too risky in this situation. But she had no way of calling for help either. Her E-phone wasn't even working and she had no idea where Carousella and/or Remix were. How would save her family?

But then, Gabby remembered something the Jedi always did to immerse themselves in the Force. There was just enough space for her to sit in a cross-legged position, and she closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and concentrated.

Meanwhile, Chancellor Palpatine gave Senator Free Taa a pardon disk to release Ziro the Hutt from prison.

That was when a droid came in. "Let's go." said the droid.

"Why do I have to go to the jail for this?" asked Free Taa.

"Move it."

"Sorry, Senator," said Palpatine. "but everyone has a job to do."

"3D, are we on schedule?" Bane said into his wristcom.

"Arriving at the prison now." the droid answered.

Bane ordered the rest of his crew to get the "parting gifts"

The bounty hunters took out some sort of devices, and were about to put them on the walls, but one of them tripped and dropped their device. Then all of them tripped. They tried to pick up the devices, only for them to move across the floor slowly, then a little faster, and then faster until the devices were moving faster than a bunch of air hockey pucks after being hit too hard.

Then, one bounty hunter got thrown into Aurra. Then, Bane's hat and blaster floated all over the room, moving around almost as though taunting him.

None of the Senators knew what was going. And that was when Anakin started to come to.

"Dad!" Boba said happily.

"What's going on?" Anakin was surprised when he saw the bounty hunters and their things being tossed around. "I'm not doing that."

"If Anakin isn't doing any of this? Then who...?" Bail began.

"Leave my family and the senators alone!" said a little voice.

That was when a certain little girl entered the room, looking incredibly focused on a new power.

"The Force is strong with this little one," said Gabby. "Let me show you how strong!"

The Skywalkers all looked astonished.

"Is she...?" Padme gasped.

"Is that...?" Boba gasped.

"Gabby has the Force." Anakin finished. A smile began to appear on his face as his daughter was finally getting the Force. "You get 'em, Princess."

Gabby took her father's encouragement and tossed the bounty hunters once more. She started tossing them all over the place, smashing them into walls, holding some upside down or spinning them around. She even used the Force to make Bane slap himself in the face.

"Hey, Bane! Stop hitting yourself, stop hitting yourself, stop hitting yourself...!" Gabby laughed as she was having a lot of fun.

Gabby's parents were shocked, but also happy to see Gabby was handling the situation fine. And Anakin was especially proud to see Gabby finally got the Force.

Gabby kept the Force play going on for a while, before using a little magic, freezing the bounty hunters' weapons solid, trapping them with her vines, and making fog to blind the bounty hunters to give the Senators time to run to safety. That was also when Carousella and Remix arrived with some of Equinaro's royal guard as reinforcements, and they managed to take down what remained of the bounty hunters.

"And that is proof that this princess is no damsel in distress." Gabby said. She was the last to leave after Padme used Anakin's lightsaber to destroy his restraints, and Anakin carried her as they ran to safety as well while the horses restrained the criminals.

The Senators all cheered when they saw the bounty hunters were brought to justice, and they were so grateful to their small, yet mighty little heroine.

Unfortunately, Bane and Sing both managed to escape the restraints, but there was no doubt they had not seen the last of either of them. But, either way, Gabby was at least glad her family was safe, and she finally got the Force. She couldn't wait to show her friends and everyone back at the Temple.

"You really saved us all, Little Sister." Boba smiled and kissed his sister's cheek.

"I really did it! I used the Force! Did you see, Daddy?" Gabby smiled hugely. "I got my powers!"

"Yes, we did see, Princess." Anakin smiled, giving his daughter a kiss and tossing her up in the air. "I knew you could do it."

"You had us worried, though. Those bounty hunters could've hurt you." Padme said.

"I know, Mommy. But, everyone protects me all the time." Gabby said. "It was my turn to protect you."

Padme gave her daughter a kiss, and she and Anakin both hugged their daughter, so happy to see how she was finally starting to embrace the Jedi half of her heritage. And Gabby had a feeling that things were going to be a lot more interesting from now on.
