Deception & Auditions
Gabby was excited for the Festival of Light. It was supposed to be a beautiful event. But, she was a bit repulsed when she heard that Chancellor Palpatine recently got engaged to a beautiful woman everyone had yet to meet. That just sounded off to the girl. But, she had more pressing matters to attend to.
Princess Gabby was given the job of getting someone to perform at the events, and she wanted to pick just the right person for the job. But she didn't know that a terrorist threat was in motion, one to kidnap the Chancellor and his new fiancé. The mastermind behind it? A monster named Moralo Eval, currently behind bars, but the plan was in motion nonetheless, according to rumors.
Just days before the Jedi Council hatched a plot for protecting the Chancellor, Gabby came rushing to some of her friends, who were visiting to go over outfits and preparations, to tell them some amazing news.
"Boba! Carousella! Guys! You are not gonna believe this!" Gabby said, jumping up and down excitedly.
"Gabby, did you take a sip of your father's coffee again?" Obi-Wan asked.
"No! I just have the biggest news in the history of big news!"
"Well, what is it?" Anakin asked.
"Well, you know how I was put in charge of choosing a performer to entertain at the Festival of Light?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Well, it just so happens I managed to book a very famous singing superstar for the festival."
"Who'd you get? Tara Drift?" Summer asked.
Gabby shook her head. "Nope. Better."
"Madame Lala?" Dracona guessed.
"Nuh-uh." Gabby shook her head again.
"Dustin Timberwolf?" Fantasia guessed.
"Not even close."
"Then who is it?! Tell us, please!" Remix begged. "I've gotta know who!"
Gabby giggled and said... "I got us... the one... the only... COUNT CRESCENDO!"
The kids all got excited and seemed like they just had their minds blown.
"Thee Count Crescendo? Are you kidding me?!" Carousella asked, smiling hugely. "You actually got him?"
"Yup. Got the email right here." Gabby pulled out the message on her phone and read it out loud.
Dear Princess Gabby,
Thank you for even considering me to perform at the Festival of Lights.
It is an honor to be invited to such an important event, and I look forward
to meeting you and each of your friends.
"How did you get him to agree to perform?" Boba asked. "He must get like a million fan letters a day."
"I found a spell that sends letters directly to the person you want them to." Gabby said. "I left contact info, and he sent an email saying he'd be happy to perform at the festival. And... there's more. He'd like us to audition to be part of the show."
The kids all got even more ecstatic.
"That's amazing!" Boba said.
"So, we actually have a chance to sing and dance on stage with Count Crescendo?" said Ahsoka. "I can't believe it!"
"Who is this... Count Crescendo?" Obi-Wan asked.
The kids all gasped. Even Anakin looked shocked.
"You've never heard of Count Crescendo?" Peppermint asked in disbelief.
"War time doesn't exactly allow a lot of time for trend following and musical concerts."
"He's only thee greatest male singer in the galaxy." Gabby said.
Gabby pulled up the StarScreen app on her phone and showed Obi-Wan a video of a concert.
The background of the stage was purple, a human silhouette stood in the middle of the stage, and soon a clear, powerful voice began to sing.
If all of the kings had their queens on the throne
We would pop champagne and raise a toast
Lights began to shine and flash as the figure began to move his hips to the beat of the music.
To all of the queens who are fighting alone
Baby, you're not dancin' on your own
The figure turned to face the audience. He was dressed in a lavender shirt with a sparkling purple leather jacket, matching pants, and black boots, and half his face was covered by long purple hair that only left his mouth visible
Can't live without me, you wanna, but you can't, no, no, no
Think it's funny, but honey, can't run this show on your own
I can feel my body shake, there's only so much I can take
I'll show you how a real queen behaves, oh
Count Crescendo sang very clearly and danced very on the beat. And his backup dancers and singers were amazing too.
No damsel in distress, don't need to save me
Once I start breathin' fire, you can't tame me
And you might think I'm weak without a sword
But if I had one, it'd be bigger than yours
If all of the kings had their queens on the throne
We would pop champagne and raise a toast
To all of the queens who are fighting alone
Baby, you're not dancin' on your own
Crescendo passed behind a part of the set, and came out in a new outfit. This one was royal blue with more glitter sparkles, his hair changed to a golden blonde streaked with blue. Same as his other hair, it covered his face.
Disobey me, then baby, it's off with your head
Gonna change it and make it a world you won't forget, oh-oh, oh
No damsel in distress, don't need to save me
Once I start breathin' fire, you can't tame me
And you might think I'm weak without a sword
But I'm stronger than I ever was before
Crescendo changed his outfit again to something green with a black and white checker patterned jacket, and instead of hiding behind hair, this time his face was hidden behind a veil that hung from a sparkling gold crown.
If all of the kings had their queens on the throne
We would pop champagne and raise a toast
To all of the queens who are fighting alone
Baby, you're not dancin' on your own
In chess, the king can move one space at a time
But queens are free to go wherever they like
You get too close, you'll get a royalty high
So breathe it in to feel alive (alive)
Crescendo changed his outfit one last time. Now he wore a red and gold outfit with sequins and sparkles, and a crown on his head as he hid his face behind dark red hair.
If all of the kings had their queens on the throne
We would pop champagne and raise a toast
To all of the queens who are fighting alone
Baby, you're not dancin' on your own
And the crowd cheered as Count Crescendo finished in a split.
"He seems like a very... elaborate and colorful character." Obi-Wan said.
"Just wait till you see him performing in person." Gabby said. "What makes him so mysterious though, is that no one knows who he really is."
"It's true," said Anakin. "No one's ever seen his face. No one knows his real name, where he comes from, or even his age."
"I just hope he's as friendly in person as he sounded in his email." Gabby said.
Over the next few days, the kids all got to work practicing their song and dance. Since the Temple got a real dance studio installed a few months ago, it became a lot easier for Gabby to practice ballet, for Remix to teach others to dance, and for anyone in general who just wanted to learn and practice dancing.
Gabby played some notes on the piano as she warmed up her voice. She loved dancing and singing. Since she first saw one of Count Crescendo's music videos on a tv while in the store with her mom one day, she'd love Count Crescendo. She adored how confident, energetic, and authentic he was in each performance. It seemed so magical that he gave such amazing performances without being afraid. And, she dreamed of singing on stage with him, and maybe learning from him.
"You can stand under my umbrella..." Gabby sang as she played the piano.
"He sings that song pretty well," said Boba, stretching out at the barre.
"I'm hoping if he does 'Circus'" Fantasia said, standing on her front hooves like a professional gymnast. "My skills in gymnastics will be something he'll like in the performance."
"Well, we shouldn't get our hopes up," said Aqualia. "Count Crescendo's a big deal. Even with most of us having royal titles, he probably has impossible to meet standards of skill."
"That might be true, but he always says be true to you. That's what I like about him." Gabby said. "Maybe we'll get to know him at the festival. It would be nice to get to know him as a person, not just a celebrity."
"Well, I'm gonna show off my break-dancing skills to a remixed medley of his songs that I made myself." Remix said. "What are you gonna do?"
"I haven't decided yet," shrugged Gabby. "I like so many of his songs. But, I wanna choose one that really feels true to me."
Meanwhile, Anakin accompanied Obi-Wan and Ahsoka into the city. Of course, Peppermint came too; she went just about everywhere with Obi-Wan, being loyal to her rider, and just because she loved him so much. They soon had to rush back to the Temple.
"So, what's the big rush?" Anakin asked.
"The Jedi Council has called an emergency meeting." said Obi-Wan.
Anakin sighed. "I can see it now. Another long, boring debate."
But they didn't know that from afar, someone was watching them, waiting to strike.
"Would you rather they call you in to train younglings?" Ahsoka teased.
Anakin chuckled and said, "Are you crazy? I've already got four of them to take care of, and two of them are literal animals."
Peppermint's ears suddenly shot up as she sensed something dangerous near, and then a blaster bolt fired, barely missing Obi-Wan. The Jedi and unicorn quickly scattered and hid behind some crates as the sniper fired over and over again.
"Any idea where that shot came from?" asked Obi-Wan.
Ahsoka and Peppermint looked up and saw the sniper and pointed him out to the guys.
The sniper nearly got Obi-Wan again. And he had a plan.
"All right, here's the plan. Anakin, you and Peppermint flank him on the right. Ahsoka, you cover the lower streets. I'm going after him."
The three Jedi ignited their lightsabers. Peppermint took Anakin on her back, and ran, jumping up onto some strong branches Anakin managed to grow for her. Obi-Wan was on the other side of the area, and they ran after the sniper.
Suddenly, the sniper disappeared. Obi-Wan looked around, seeing no one. Anakin reported that he and Peppermint lost the sniper.
Obi-Wan slowly stepped out from his hiding spot, but then was shot near his shoulder, and he fell from the building, landing at some crates.
"Obi-Wan!" Anakin and Peppermint exclaimed.
"I got him! Go!" Ahsoka shouted from below.
Peppermint and Anakin spotted the sniper. The unicorn whinnied and ran after the sniper with Anakin on her back and managed to find a safe way to jump to the other side as the sniper approached his speeder bike. Anakin tried to use his botanical power to grab him, but the sniper was too fast, and he unleashed a smoke bomb that made him and Peppermint cough. Peppermint snorted out some of the gas that got into her nose. Seeing as the sniper was gone, Peppermint quickly got Anakin back so they could check on Obi-Wan.
Ahsoka was holding Obi-Wan in her arms.
"How is he?" Anakin asked.
"Is he okay?" Peppermint asked.
Ahsoka looked at the two with tears in her eyes.
Peppermint gasped and was frozen. Anakin's eyes widened. He climbed down from Peppermint and approached his master's body.
"Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan?" Anakin held Obi-Wan's shoulder. No response. "Obi-Wan!"
Tears filled Peppermint's eyes now as she approached her rider and nudged him with her muzzle.
"Obi-Wan, no. Please." she whispered. She nudged him again, and licked his cheek. No response.
A tear fell from Peppermint's eye and fell to the ground, forming a broken heart. No number of candy-corns or even an entire planet made of sugar could sugarcoat this mess.
Gabby later went to look for her father, only to find him looking horrible. He looked so distraught, and held one hand over the bottom half of his face, looking like he was trying not to cry.
"Daddy? Daddy? What's wrong?" Gabby asked, but Anakin walked right past her. "Where you going?"
Ahsoka came by and knelt down to Gabby, placing her hands on her shoulders. She had tears in her eyes.
"Ahsoka? Peppermint? What's going on? What happened?" Gabby asked worriedly.
Peppermint just ran off, crying.
"It's Obi-Wan." Ahsoka whispered, trying not to cry.
"What about him?"
Ahsoka couldn't ever find a way to sugarcoat anything like this, even if Peppermint hadn't run away.
"A sniper hit Obi-Wan." Ahsoka shot straight. "He fell from a building and... didn't make it."
Gabby gasped an inaudible gasp and froze. She felt weak in her knees and collapsed to the floor. No one else took the news any better.
Everyone who loved Obi-Wan stood in a room where Obi-Wan's corpse lay, the Jedi all wearing their traditional cloaks, their hoods on. Satine was crying most of all. Gabby was also crying, hugging her big brother, who also had tears falling. Carousella and Remix both cuddled with Peppermint.
Anakin hadn't said a word since the death happened, according to Ahsoka. Everyone looked down as the table with Obi-Wan's covered body on it lowered down to be cremated.
Later, Masters Yoda and Mace Windu started heading for the Healer's wing of the Temple.
"Having second thoughts, Master Yoda?" Mace asked Yoda.
"Hmm. Heading down a dark path, we are." said Yoda.
"We talked about this. Killing a Jedi was the best move we had."
The two highest ranking masters entered the healer's wing, and then entered a stall, where Obi-Wan was being looked at by a droid.
"So, how was my funeral?" Obi-Wan asked.
"A better performance than you, your corpse gave." Yoda said.
"Whatever do you mean?" Obi-Wan picked up a protective breastplate he'd been wearing underneath his clothes previously. "I fell from the top of a building. I could've killed myself."
"Survived worse, you have." Yoda said. "Young Skywalker knows this."
Just then, another voice joined in.
"Uncle Mace, are you in here? I-" Gabby froze when she looked into the stall.
Uh oh. Went through the three masters' heads.
Gabby rubbed her eyes as she saw Obi-Wan. She approached him and touched his hand. He was really there.
"Uncle Obi-Wan!" Gabby exclaimed, happy tears coming to her eyes as she jumped on him and hugged him tightly.
Obi-Wan grunted as he was knocked onto his back
"You're alive!" Gabby said happily.
"Yes, we can see that." Obi-Wan said as the little girl showered his face with kisses.
Gabby quickly got up and started to run toward the exit.
"Daddy! Daddy!" Gabby started to scream, but Mace quickly grabbed her and covered her mouth as he brought her back to the stall.
"Gabriella, you can't let anyone else know Obi-Wan's alive." Mace said.
Gabby tried to say something, but Mace's hand prevented her from doing so.
"Mmph!" was the sound Gabby made, looking annoyed now.
"Oh, sorry." Mace said, removing his hand from the child's mouth.
"Why not?" Gabby asked. She suddenly started to look suspicious. "What's going on?"
Obi-Wan explained to Gabby that he took a vitals suppressor to appear dead, and they'd hired the sniper to perform the job of "killing" Obi-Wan. They had a plan to get close to Moralo Eval, the mastermind behind a Separatist plot by having Obi-Wan go undercover as Rako Hardeen, the bounty hunter they hired.
"So, Daddy doesn't know about this?" Gabby asked.
"No, it was his reaction that sold the sniper." Obi-Wan said. "It was vital that his reaction be real."
"Why didn't you tell any of us? I probably cried enough to fill a pool when Ahsoka told me you were dead." Gabby said. "You should at least tell Daddy. He deserves to know. He's really fallen apart. Besides, I know someone who can help really greatly with Uncle Obi-Wan's disguise."
"That all sounds... risky." Mace said.
Gabby then looked at them with her big sad 'puppy eyes' for a couple minutes.
Gabby approached her father's bedroom door as she got off the phone calling one of her friends.
She stopped and listened for a moment. Anakin was crying.
Gabby opened the door and entered the room, where she saw Anakin sitting on his bed. His head was cradled in his arms and knees as he sobbed, and the room was very dark. It made the little girl feel like crying when she saw her father crying.
"Daddy?"
Anakin looked up at Gabby.
"Oh... hey, Gabby." Anakin sniffed. "What's going... on?"
Anakin wiped his eyes on his sleeve as he found himself unable to hold back from crying, even though he normally managed to do so in front of his kids. Gabby climbed onto the bed and hugged her father. Anakin hugged her close to him like she was a teddy bear. Gabby kissed her father's cheek and told him to just let it all out. Even though she knew Obi-Wan wasn't really dead, she was smart enough to know he needed to get all the stress out before he was let in on the secret.
"Daddy, there's something I think will really help you." Gabby told her father after he started to calm down.
Gabby held Anakin's hand and walked him to the healer's wing. Roya also came with them.
"I don't think the healer's wing is gonna help me." Anakin whined, sounding like a three-year-old.
"Trust me, Daddy. You're gonna get answers to a lot of questions here." Gabby said.
"And why did you need me to come again?" Roya said.
"You'll see when we get there." Gabby said.
And when Anakin and Roya arrived at the stall, they were in total shock like Gabby had been when they saw Obi-Wan Kenobi alive!
Anakin was quick to hug his old master, not saying anything at first, but then angrily demanding answers.
The three Masters explained their plan to Anakin and Roya, and Gabby told Roya that was why she consulted her. Since she specialized in illusions, she could disguise Obi-Wan.
"Didn't you say you learned a new illusion spell that makes more authentic and physical feeling illusions?" Gabby asked.
"Yes. It's a bit tricky to cast, but very easily undone by a kiss of true love." Roya said.
"Aww." Gabby said. "What do you think?"
"I take it there's no way of convincing the chancellor and his fiancé to pull out of the festival?" Obi-Wan guessed.
Though the festival would be more fun if they did. Gabby thought in her mind.
"No," said Yoda. "See it as a sign of weakness he would."
"Sign of weakness," sighed Obi-Wan. "We wouldn't want that."
The Jedi thought it might be easier and less painful than the medical stuff. So, they showed Roya a picture of the man Roya needed to turn Obi-Wan into.
So, Roya took out her bansuri, a wooden flute type of instrument, and she concentrated as she played a mysterious sounding tune on it, and she focused on Obi-Wan.
"Corporalimago!" Roya said, pointing her flute at Obi-Wan, and gold and orange magic sparkles surrounded him, transforming his appearance to that of Rako Hardeen. But it only changed his face and body, not his clothing, as per the Jedi's request.
Yoda explained Anakin's part in the next phase of the plan, and Anakin was ready to show just how good his acting skills really were.
While the grownups went to take care of the plan, Gabby decided to go for a ride with Carousella and Peppermint. She told them both everything and that they had to keep it secret from everyone else until the villains were caught. And she asked Peppermint to deliver the message to Duchess Satine. As Obi-Wan's girlfriend, she had a right to know he was alive, and Gabby knew Satine would never forgive him if he waited too long to tell her.
Gabby also told Boba and Remix, as well as her other Enchanted friends after they all took the Perpetual Promise not to say a word about it. The kids all seemed okay now that they knew Obi-Wan was okay, and they decided to keep going on with rehearsing their auditions.
The kids all arrived at Naboo where the festival would be taking place. Preparations were already in full swing. Everyone was especially excited as they set up the stage for Count Crescendo to perform. Remix, of course, took charge, being an expert on sound and placement of lights.
Gabby and Wysteria grew lots of flowers for decorations to welcome the pop star and brighten up the festival.
"I'm so excited!" Carousella said, trotting about, music playing from her horn. "I've never seen a real pop star perform in person before."
"You're gonna love it," said Summer. "It's worth the scrounging money together, waiting in long lines, and endless research on how to get good seats and souvenirs."
"Count Crescendo always gives his fans special bracelets when he meets them." Gabby said. "That should be a great souvenir."
"Try not to lose your mind when you do meet him, Gabby." Anakin said. "He's probably overwhelmed by all the attention he usually gets from paparazzi and screaming fans."
"I'm pretty sure that's why he never let anyone see his face," said Boba. "So the paparazzi can't find him when he's out in public."
"Yeah. And after all the times we've been swarmed by reporters, I definitely know how not to act." Gabby said, and then she let out a fangirl scream when she saw what looked like a flashy limousine decorated with sparkles. "He's here! He's really here!"
The others tried not to freak out as the limo opened, and out came the very famous pop star dressed in a magenta leather jacket, dark blue pants and sparkling boots, and his face was hidden behind long wine-colored hair. And he was accompanied by an entourage of who must have been his dancers and backup singers.
"Step aside, people. No pictures. Big time pop star coming through." said a well-dressed woman, who looked about Anakin's age, walking beside Crescendo. She must have been his manager.
Gabby quickly changed into one of her nicest dresses and put on her tiara so she looked extra nice when she greeted the singer.
"Welcome, Count Crescendo. I'm Princess Gabriella Amidala-Skywalker." Gabby said as calmly as she could. "Thank you so much for coming and agreeing to perform. I know you're busy and you probably get this a lot... but I can't believe I'm actually talking to you!"
Crescendo chuckled and said, "It's my pleasure, Princess. I'm always happy to perform for celebrations such as this. Especially for a girl as special as you. And, a pretty girl deserves a pretty bracelet."
However, Crescendo's voice sounded like it was auto-tuned, which was no doubt so people didn't recognize him from his voice when he spoke as whoever he was underneath that colorful ensemble he wore on stage.
Gabby couldn't help blushing as her favorite singer was actually complimenting her. Count Crescendo knelt down and pulled out a very pretty bracelet for Gabby. It was made from a pink rope, and it had a heart-shaped charm that said "Find the true music in you." Gabby felt the bracelet around her wrist and smiled as she said, "Thank you."
"Care to introduce me to your friends?" Crescendo said, looking at the other kids, who all got excited.
"One at a time, children!" Crescendo's manager exclaimed.
"Don't worry, Caroline. I can handle myself." Crescendo said.
Gabby introduced the pop star to her brother first, and then to the rest of her friends.
"And these are my parents, Padme and Anakin Skywalker." Gabby introduced.
Crescendo shook hands with the senator, but froze for a moment when he looked at Anakin.
"Are you okay, Mr. Crescendo?" Anakin asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Crescendo said. "I've just... never met such an esteemed Jedi Knight before. It's so nice to meet you and your wife. You two are every lucky to have such a beautiful and smart child. Caroline has one herself. And she's actually your daughter's age."
"Really?" Gabby asked.
"Yes, she is." Caroline said, looking around. She looked back at the limo. "Lamenta. Come on out, Sweetie."
Out from the same limo, a little girl peeked out rather shyly. Caroline helped the child out. The girl wore a purple dress, and she had raven black curly hair that covered one of her purple eyes, and she was carrying a plush sheep in her arm.
"Don't be shy, pretty girl." Crescendo said, moving Lamenta's hair back with a star hairclip. He gently took Lamenta's hand and walked her over to meet Gabby.
"Hi there." Gabby smiled, but Lamenta quickly hid behind the pop star, which made Gabby step back. "What's wrong? Did I speak too loudly?" Gabby said that last part a little quieter.
"No, it's not your fault." Crescendo said. "Poor Lamenta. She's just really shy. She travels a lot with us on tour, so she's never really stayed anywhere long enough to make a lot of real friends. But I'm sincerely hoping being here for the Festival of Light might help her make at least a few friends. And since you're clearly smart when it comes to socializing, maybe you can help Lamenta open up."
"I'd be happy to." Gabby said. "Come on, Lamenta. I'll introduce you to all my friends. One at a time. You don't have to worry. They're all really nice."
Lamenta started to come out a little bit, but didn't say anything.
"It's okay to be scared, Lamenta." Gabby said. "I get scared in strange places sometimes too." She looked at the white lamb she held and pulled out her teddy bear. "I like your lamb. I have a plushie I carry with me too. Teddy, my teddy bear."
"My sheep's name is Lammy." Lamenta said quietly, but just loud enough for Gabby to hear.
"That's a cute name." Gabby smiled.
"Aww. They're getting along already." Anakin said.
The kids were all excited for auditions to begin, but first, Crescendo wanted to do a soundcheck and sing a song.
He tapped and tested the microphone.
"Testing... one, two, three." he said into the mic and gave a thumbs up. "Works great!"
Now, he was ready to sing a tryout song.
"Any requests?" Crescendo asked.
"Kings & Queens!" Fantasia exclaimed.
"Spectacle!" Carousella said.
"I vote for Party in My Head!'" Gabby shouted, raising her hand.
"Me too." Remix said, raising his hoof.
"Very popular choice," smiled Crescendo. "Okay. Remix. Can you hook us up?"
"On it." Remix said, excited to do the music for Count Crescendo.
And the music started for Crescendo to do a test run.
Party's in my head
Party's in my head
Hey
Count Crescendo and his dancers began performing a fun, cool-looking dance routine that went with the song, and as Crescendo sang, he did so with a very loud and clear voice. The loud dynamic was exactly how he got his stage name.
I don't care if the whole club is dead
'Cause the party's in my head
The party's in my head
If you won't let me in
Dancing on the street instead
'Cause the party's in my head
The party's in my head
I don't care about the VIP
'Cause every single DJ is inside me
If you dunno where to go
Stay close to me instead
'Cause the party's in my head
The party's in my head
Crescendo tossed his hair back and forth as he really went crazy with the dancing.
Me against the world
The world against me
Those who can't feel or see what I see
The ones who stay close
Hear what I hear
I'll be your host the music is here
I'm on a train again
Jamming on my own again
They think I'm insane
There's no music playing
Why wait on Friday lights
Since I'm out on every night
If no one's around I'm my own crowd
Crescendo was an amazing dancer. He could do backflips like a cheerleader, high kicks and swift turns, and even jump in to a split. He really knew how to strut his stuff and just shake it up when he was on stage.
I don't care if the whole club is dead
'Cause the party's in my head
The party's in my head
If you won't let me in
Dancing on the street instead
'Cause the party's in my head
The party's in my head
I don't care about the VIP
'Cause every single DJ is inside me
If you dunno where to go
Stay close to me instead
'Cause the party's in my head
The party's in my head
Crescendo's confidence only seemed to grow with every word he sang and every step he took whenever he danced. And just like in his concerts, his outfits and hair constantly changed style and color. The kids still had no idea how he did that so quickly.
Imagine with me
Just like I said
Millions of us
The sound in your head
Feel it vibrate
From state to state
Moving those plates
Be an earthquake
I'm on a train again
Jamming on my own again
They think I'm insane
There's no music playing
Why wait on Friday lights
Since I'm out on every night
If no one's around I'm my own crowd
I don't care if the whole club is dead
'Cause the party's in my head
The party's in my head
If you won't let me in
Dancing on the street instead
'Cause the party's in my head

I don't care about the VIP
'Cause every single DJ is inside me
If you dunno where to go
Stay close to me instead
'Cause the party's in my head
The party's in my head
I've got the whole world on my guest list
No one that precious
No one that precious, yeah
Close your eyes and turn up to this
Yeah, turn up to this
Yeah, turn up to this yeah
I'm in my world
And my own world we getting
With every boy
And every single girl, yeah
And every one
And every one's in me
No matter where I'm gonna be
I don't care if the whole club is dead
'Cause the party's in my head
The party's in my head
If you won't let me in
Dancing on the street instead
'Cause the party's in my head

'Cause the party's in my head

Party's in my head
Party's in my head
Crescendo tossed the back of his hair down for a big finish.
Everybody cheered when he finished his tryout performance.
"COUNT CRESCENDO! WHOO!" Gabby screamed loudest of all, standing on her father's shoulders.
"She'd definitely qualify to be a cheerleader in school someday." Crescendo chuckled. "Alright now, everyone. Let's get the kids ready to audition. We've got a lot to do and little time to do it."
And so, the kids began to audition.
Dracona sang 'This Girl is On Fire,' Remix showed off his break-dancing, Boba and Roya did a duet in a traditional dance Roya taught the boy in one of their recent dance lessons, and all the other kids sang and dance all sorts of amazing routines.
Gabby was the last to go. She felt so nervous as she stepped up to the microphone, but when her song started to play, there was a glitch and the music wouldn't play. Luckily, the microphone still worked. But without music, she couldn't do her song; it just wouldn't sound as good sung acapella without a group of background voices. But then, Gabby spotted a keytar, a keyboard that was held like a guitar.
"Mr. Crescendo, would it okay if I borrowed a keytar?" Gabby asked Crescendo.
"Go ahead. Just be careful." Crescendo said.
Gabby managed to pick up the keytar and find a chair. It was a little big for her, but she made it work.
"This is a lullaby my daddy's best friend, my Uncle Obi-Wan Kenobi, sang to me." Gabby said. "It's called All is Found."
Gabby sweetly played the keytar as she sang Obi-Wan's lullaby. She quickly noticed as the song came to an end, Count Crescendo seemed frozen by it. He covered his mouth with his hand, but she couldn't tell how he was feeling since she couldn't see his eyes or any other part of his face really.
"That... that was very beautiful, Princess." Crescendo said with a smile, but it looked forced. "I'd better go over the choices."
Gabby might not have been able to see the pop star's face, but she could tell he seemed emotional. She really hoped he was okay.
