Bounty Hunters & Body Switches

As the war was continuing, the death toll continued growing. While the Jedi struggled to fight a war on many fronts, many Republic worlds had to survive on their own. But, it also meant a certain Jedi father was getting a little overprotective with his little princess.

A series of medical stations have been established as a lifeline for those in need, but the facilities are easy prey for Separatist attacks. After losing contact with the medical station orbiting Felucia, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, and Anakin and Gabriella Skywalker, and Carousella Mareheart were sent to investigate.

"That's Felucia, dead ahead." said Anakin. Gabby squirmed a bit in the seatbelt that held her in Anakin's lap. "Gabby, be careful."

"Did I really have to share a seatbelt with you, Daddy?" Gabby, who wore a horse riding helmet, asked.

"Yes, to keep you safe. That's what the helmet's for too."

After Carousella came around, numerous updates were made to the ships, such as having seatbelts on more of the seats to ensure proper safety protocol, as well as equipping the Jedi with training for various natural disasters they might have had yet to face. But, Anakin was getting a lot more protective of Gabby lately. After Bane nearly took the lives of two Force-sensitive children, Anakin was more determined than ever to protect his daughter.

He started checking outside every window and door all the time for traps, and started having Gabby sleep beside him every night. He even considered putting her back in her old crib so she'd sleep safely. Gabby was starting to get a bit annoyed by it, though. She was three now and growing up. She didn't like that her father and everyone around her was treating her like a baby. She might not have known how to read yet, but she wasn't totally helpless.

"But where's the medical station?" asked Ahsoka. "I don't see anything on my scanners." Then the scanner beeped. "Wait, I see something."

There was something out there, and a machine sent out vulture droids.

"Hang on." said Anakin.

Anakin steered and swerved the ship as the vulture droids chased after them.

"I guess we know what happened to the medical station." said Obi-Wan.

Suddenly, the ship was hit.

"That's not good." said Carousella.

"They took out the plasma conduit." said Ahsoka.

The ship soon entered Felucia's atmosphere, and it looked very much like the ship would crash. But Anakin had an idea.

"You thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?" said Anakin.

"Almost certainly not." said Obi-Wan.

Everyone began putting oxygen masks on their faces.

"Looks like we're doing this the hard way." Anakin said, getting a mask on Gabby and himself. "Starting ejection sequence."

"How come every time you fly, we crash?" Ahsoka asked.

"It's not my fault. It's the ship!" said Anakin.

Ahsoka put her hand on the lever. "Ready to eject."

"Wait..." said Anakin, waiting for the right moment. "Now!"

The humans and Togruta were ejected from the ship, while Carousella flew herself out in an energy bubble and followed the direction of the big balls her friends were bouncing around in. She managed to use her magic to slow them down, and they came to a stop.

Anakin was first to get out, him and Gabby coughing.

"Whoa..." Gabby groaned, dizzy from all the bouncing. she took off her helmet, fixed her hair, and tried to get over the slight headache she got.

Anakin chuckled and looked to see Obi-Wan get out of his ball, looking a bit nauseous.

"You all right there, Master?" Anakin asked, picking up his daughter.

"I'm fine, Anakin." Obi-Wan groaned.

"Really, 'cause you looked green for a moment." Carousella said. "If you're airsick, I've got medical stuff in my saddle bag."

"I'm fine. Really."

The team of five began walking and looking around.

"Where on Felucia do you think we are?" Ahsoka asked.

There was suddenly the sound of a creature growling, which made Carousella get into a defensive position in front of them.

"Oh. I don't like the sound of that." Ahsoka said.

"And I don't like the look of that." said Anakin, looking up.

And there, in front of them, the Jedi and musicorn saw some giant dinosaur-like beasts.

"Dinosaurs!" Gabby panicked.

"Shh! We don't wanna scare 'em." Anakin said, covering Gabby's mouth with his hand.

"We can't just wander around aimlessly." said Obi-Wan. "We need a plan."

"You always taught me to go on instinct, and my instincts, tell me to go that way."

"No, that- that doesn't seem right."

"I think we should go this way." Obi-Wan pointed in the opposite direction.

"Why do you even ask for my opinion?" said Anakin. "You never do things my way."

"We crashed the ship your way."

Gabby and Carousella both giggled at Obi-Wan's remark.

"Very funny. I see your sense of humor survived the landing."

"It's about the only thing."

"Uh, if you two are done arguing," said Ahsoka, pointing into the distance. "I think there's some smoke on the horizon."

"Which means people and a way off this planet." Gabby said.

"That's right. You're so smart."

"I'll see if I can get a better view." said Carousella. "It always helps to look from a new perspective."

Carousella flew up as high as she could and looked in the direction of the smoke.

"Ahsoka was right." said Carousella. "There are people over there, and there's a clear path north of your position."

The Jedi found the path that Carousella mentioned and started to follow it.

The group walked and walked until Ahsoka spotted a village.

"Maybe they have a ship we can... borrow." said Anakin.

The team looked around and saw some crops of healing herbs.

"Hmm. They're growing healing herbs." said Ahsoka.

"Nysillim, I believe," said Obi-Wan. "One of the most valuable crops in the galaxy."

Carousella started to sniff some of the herbs. They smelled pretty fragrant to her.

"Pretty soothing." said the musicorn.

The group looked around.

"This place looks deserted," said Ahsoka.

"I don't believe it is," said Obi-Wan. "The crops are ready to be harvested."

"Unless their magical herbs. Is nysillim a magical plant?" Gabby asked.

"Nope. It would've been covered in my studies on Enchanted Botany." Carousella said.

"Tools are also lying about." Obi-Wan pointed out. "No, something's amiss."

The group continued walking.

"Well, there's one thing I learned where I grew up." Anakin said. "If you want to know what a farmer's up to, look in their barn."

Anakin pressed a button on what had to be the barn. And inside, there was a huge ship.

"This is an odd ship for farmers." Obi-Wan said.

"It's not a tractor, that's for sure." Gabby said.

"Perhaps someone's here to pick up the sillim."

"I still don't get it," said Ahsoka. "Where is everyone?"

"Exactly what I'd like to know." Carousella said. She took a whiff of the air.

The team then split up. Carousella went with Obi-Wan, and Gabby went with her father and Ahsoka.

The two humans and the Togruta entered a cute little farmhouse. It was empty.

Anakin heard a noise from down below and motioned for the girls to be quiet. Then, he pulled the door open with the Force, and down below were two creatures who looked scared.

"Mystery solved," said Anakin.

"They're terrified." Ahsoka gasped.

"It's okay. We won't hurt you." Gabby said.

Then there was a sound that came from behind them. The sound of a gun clicking.

"Kindly drop your weapons, Jedi." said a female bounty hunter, whose name was Sugi.

Anakin slowly got up and said, "Take it easy, girls. We don't want any trouble."

Another bounty hunter spoke in a language Gabby didn't understand.

"It's not always about the numbers." said Anakin.

"Four on one is hardly a fair fight," said another bounty hunter, named Rumi. "even for a Jedi."

"Wait a minute." said Ahsoka. "Four on one? You mean four on three."

"We don't count you, knee-high, or that baby." said a robotic bounty hunter, whose name was Seripas.

"I'm three years old!" Gabby said angrily.

"Do you count me?" asked Obi-Wan, igniting his lightsaber as he entered.

"Or me?" said Carousella. She made her horn glow.

The Jedi all took out their weapons, and Gabby and Carousella both prepared to use their magic... until a new voice interrupted them.

"Stop! Don't harm them!" the voice said, and in came another creature like the ones they encountered below. "Can't you see these are Jedi? We are saved!"

"Saved?" Ahsoka, Carousella, and Gabby all said, confused.

"Need I remind you, Casiss." said Sugi to the creature. "you already made a deal with us?"

"But with the Jedis' help-" said Casiss.

"Excuse me, but help you with what?" Ahsoka asked.

"Pirates."

That night, the Jedi were brought into a facility with Cassis, fellow farmers, and the bounty hunters.

"Simply stated," said Casiss. "if we don't give the pirates a portion of our crop, they will destroy our homes, with us in them."

"That's awful." Gabby said.

"Hm. I see your dilemma-" Obi-Wan said. "Carousella, stop eating off the table!"

Carousella was picking from a plate on the table with her mouth.

"I can't help it. I'm a horse. I eat like one." Carousella said.

"I've got her." Gabby said. And she grew a branch on the wall with some apples for Carousella to eat.

"Sillim farming is a meager trade," said Casiss. "Without our herbs to sell, we will have no money for food, fuel, or equipment."

"And yet you can afford to pay mercenaries?" Obi-Wan pointed out.

"These bounty hunters drive a far more reasonable bargain than the pirates."

"Why not just fight them yourselves?" Anakin said.

"Oh, so you'll encourage them to fight, but overprotect me?" Gabby asked.

"Easy for you, perhaps." Casiss told Anakin. "But look at us. We are farmers, not warriors. Even with the bounty hunters' help, I had feared the worst."

"Well, horses are typically known as a common farm animal, but where I'm from, some of us are royal guards." Carousella said. "If you require training..."

Carousella had Gabby grow a strong tree to act as a karate demonstration.

"Hi-yah!" Carousella kicked the tree right into a bunch of logs. "I happen to have graduated top of my class at age nine."

"Well, now that there are eight of you-" Casiss said.

"Nine! I'm here too." Gabby said.

"Ah, it is adorable that you want to help, but this is not child's play, little one."

Gabby looked disgruntled, but others just found her cute.

"Ugh! What does it take to be taken seriously around here?!" Gabby groaned.

"What do you want, Jedi?" asked Sugi.

"We need a ship." said Obi-Wan. "Ours is beyond repair, I'm afraid."

"The one in the barn, that'll do." said Anakin.

"That's our ride," scoffed Sugi. "it doesn't go anywhere without us. And right now, we're busy."

"Busy extorting farmers?" said Obi-Wan.

"I don't hear you offering to help."

"Unfortunately, we couldn't help even if we wanted to."

"What?!" The girls all said together.

The Jedi and Carousella all stood outside together.

"Master, these farmers are in trouble." said Ahsoka.

"Yeah, why can't we help them?" Gabby said.

"Isn't it a Jedi's job to keep peace?" Carousella pointed out. "And as a guard, refusing to protect anyone who is not an enemy goes against what I stand for."

"Believe me, girls. I would like nothing more." Obi-Wan said. "However, we need to report that the medical station has been destroyed. If we stay too long, the Separatists will show up looking for us here."

"But-" Ahsoka started, but was interrupted.

"Better they get robbed by pirates than attract the interest of General Grievous and his horde."

"Pirates!" A villager shouted repeatedly. "The pirates are back!"

And soon came a band of Weequay pirates on speeder bikes.

"That's far enough," said a bounty hunter Sugi as the pirates stopped. "I speak for the people of this village. State your name and business."

"My name is my own business." said one pirate. "And my business is taking what's ours."

"There is nothing here that's yours, unless you're here to buy it."

"Buy it?" said a familiar voice, laughing. It was none other than Hondo Onaka. "Kenobi, Skywalker, I can't believe you came all this way to see me."

"Hondo." the two men, the princess, and the unicorn said.

"You know each other?" Sugi asked.

"Of course we do!" said Hondo. "Tell them how far back we go, Kenobi."

"Too far, I'm afraid." said Obi-Wan.

Hondo just laughed and said, "And here I thought we were friends."

Obi-Wan pushed Hondo's hand off his shoulder and said, "If you're truly interested in friendship, Hondo, might I suggest you stop threatening these farmers?"

"Yeah!" Gabby stepped in. "Taking things from other people isn't very friendly."

"Threatening them? Oh! Please tell me you have not been listening to this bounty-hunting scum."

"Scum?" said Sugi, sounding offended. "We're just here to help them protect what's theirs."

"Oh, come, come, my dear." said Hondo. "How much are they paying you? Does not matter. Whatever it is, I will double it, and all you have to do to earn it is... step aside."

"We. Don't. Break. Deals."

Hondo's men held up their weapons, and so did the other bounty hunters, and Carousella made her horn glow.

"Steady, everyone." said Obi-Wan, stroking Carousella's muzzle to calm her.

"What is your stake anyway, Kenobi?" Hondo asked.

"All we want is a ride to the nearest Republic outpost, and I'm willing to pay you handsomely for it, twice what you could make selling this crop."

"Well, um, how do you plan to pay me?"

"A funds transfer when we arrive."

"Republic credit? We've been over this before, Kenobi. My associates don't accept that currency."

"I'm offering a deal that benefits us all, Hondo. Don't let your greed blind you to that fact."

"You know, I like you, Kenobi, but, um, no one leaves this planet until I get my sillim."

"You want sillim? Here!" Gabby said, and she made a ton of sillim grow right underneath Hondo and hug him.

The bounty hunters were startled by that, and so were the farmers.

"How did she do that?" asked Rumi.

"I'm a magical princess." Gabby said.

"We do not want plants from you." Hondo said. "Not after last time."

"Those plants behaved that way last time because your pirates were holding my family hostage. And when I'm angry, my plants get angry."

And a storm cloud thundered too.

"Gabby! Calm down." Anakin said, picking up the child. "Call your spells off right now."

"Hmph. Fine." Gabby reluctantly waved her hand and made all the stuff go away.

"The crop has not yet been harvested. You better hurry, old man," Hondo threatened Casiss. "before things start to, uh, die on you?"

And with that, the pirates left.

After the pirates left, Anakin started to have a serious talk with Gabby about getting involved randomly in fights.

"I just wanted to help." Gabby said.

"I already told you to be more careful," said Anakin. "Fights in the battlefield or hostage situations are dangerous."

"You never take me seriously, Daddy! Neither does anyone else."

"We take you seriously, little one." Obi-Wan said. "You are just very young and could get hurt."

"So I'm too fragile to be taken seriously?" Gabby said. "Just because I wear a bow in my hair doesn't mean I'm all sunshine and butterflies."

"I have to agree with Gabby, though, Anakin." said Carousella. "You have been getting a little overprotective of her. And that's coming from her guardian."

"This really doesn't concern you, Carousella." Anakin said.

"Maybe instead of being so overprotective, you should learn not to crash so many ships. And Obi-Wan, you could learn to face your fear of flying instead of letting yourself get airsick."

"I told you, I'm not scared of flying!" Obi-Wan said. "I just don't like it."

"That's everyone's excuse."

And that was when everyone started talking at once, getting mad at each other and arguing.

"You know, the next time we have to fight someone," said Gabby. "I WISH YOU COULD SEE WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE ME!"

Gabby got so mad, it started to activate a bit of her magic, and when she shouted that out, it created a small explosion of magic that she, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Carousella got caught in.

Gabby groaned as she started to open her eyes. She slowly sat up and looked around and saw Carousella and Obi-Wan waking up too.

"Everyone okay?" Gabby asked, rubbing her eyes. "Daddy?'

Gabby looked around for her father, but was shocked to see... herself?

"What the-?!" Gabby rubbed her eyes again. Then she looked at her hands and gasped. She didn't remember wearing black gloves. Then she stood up and saw her reflection in a window and screamed.

"Anakin? What's wrong?" Obi-Wan's voice said, but when Gabby looked behind her, she saw Carousella standing up on her back legs like she was a human.

"Uncle Obi-Wan?" Gabby said with shock.

"What?" Obi-Wan sounded confused.

"Have you looked at your hands yet?"

Carousella, or rather Obi-Wan, looked and was immediately shocked and fell over when he realized he had hooves instead of hands. Gabby's body also got up.

"What's happened to us?!" Anakin said from Gabby's body.

Obi-Wan seemed to whinny in fear, or rather it was Carousella in his body on all fours.

"We've all switched bodies!" Carousella said.

"How did this happen?" Obi-Wan said.

"Gabby's anger must've activated a body-switching spell somehow." Carousella said.

"Well, how do we switch back?" Anakin asked.

"I don't know." Gabby said. "I said the next time we fight someone I wished you would see what it's like to be me..."

"So, we're likely stuck like this until the next battle." Obi-Wan hypothesized.

"Are you kidding me?!" Anakin said. "I have to be stuck in a little girl's body until we fight another battle?"

"At least you got a human body." Obi-Wan said, shaking his head with a snort. "Hmm. That felt odd."

Carousella's tail swished a little, and Obi-Wan started to chase it around a little. "And that's going to take getting used to."

That was when Ahsoka came in.

"Master, I heard an explosion!" Ahsoka said, going to Gabby, thinking she was Anakin. "Are you okay?"

"We're okay, Ahsoka." Gabby said, startling Ahsoka.

"You sound just like Gabby, Skyguy." Ahsoka giggled.

"Because I am Gabby."

"I'm over here, Snips." said Anakin, waving to his Padawan.

"And I, Carousella, am over here." said Carousella, still on Obi-Wan's hands and knees.

"Which leaves Obi-Wan Kenobi right here." said Obi-Wan.

Ahsoka was freaked out a little by what was happening. She rubbed her eyes and looked at them again.

"It's a long story." Obi-Wan sighed. "For now, we best get to strategizing how we will even get off this planet."

However, when Obi-Wan tried to walk with four legs, he didn't find it so easy, but Carousella still managed to get around on all fours in Obi-Wan's body, but it looked rather silly.

"Okay, that, I'm never gonna unsee." Gabby said.

"You and me both." said Ahsoka.

Naturally, when the bounty hunters and Casiss also heard that the two oldest Jedi, the princess, and the winged musicorn switched bodies, they couldn't believe it.

"It's just another day in an Enchanted's life." said Carousella, laying on the floor comfortably.

"Why are you laying like that?" Ahsoka asked.

"This is how I always lay down."

"You know you can sit in a chair now, right?" Anakin asked, but then realized he was a lot shorter than he was before. "Oh, right. I'm small now."

Gabby giggled and said, "Upsy daisy." And she picked Anakin up and placed him in a chair, patting his head, which was actually her own head. "Be a good little girl."

Obi-Wan, in Carousella's body, propped himself up with Carousella's front hooves and looked at a hologram to strategize their next move.

"When the attack comes, it will come from two fronts-" Obi-Wan began. "The forest to the south and the ridge to the north."

It was a little trickier to point things out without fingers. So, he tried pointing with his horn, only for it to make calliope and xylophone music suddenly.

"Not the time for music, horn!" Obi-Wan said.

"Settle down, Kenobi." Carousella said. "It will be hard to control at first. Just take a deep breath and it'll stop."

So, Obi-Wan took a breath, and sure enough, the horn stopped glowing and making music.

"That's better." Obi-Wan then continued. "Whatever you do, you must defend both sides."

"But there are only four of them," said a farmer. "How can four bounty hunters defend against so many?"

The bounty hunter Embo spoke in agreement.

"The farmers are right." Anakin said, standing up on his seat. "These bounty hunters don't stand a chance."

"We've been over this, Anakin." Obi-Wan said.

"You seem to lack confidence in our abilities, young Jedi." said Sugi, pinching Anakin's, or rather Gabby's, cheek.

"Hey! Those are my cheeks!" Gabby said angrily. "I don't like having them pinched, no matter how cute I am."

"I'm sure you're good at what you do," said Anakin, rubbing his cheek. "but you are in way too deep."

"Said the peacekeeper who fails to keep the peace." said Sugi.

"The rift in the galaxy is not our fault," said Obi-Wan. "If more worlds would stand up for themselves against the Separatists, this war would have been over long ago."

"That's it!" Anakin said. "We'll just train the villagers to defend themselves."

"But we are just simple farmers." said a farmer. "Why are we paying bounty hunters to defend us if we are just going to end up doing it ourselves?"

"Hush, Dilanni." said Casiss.

"How would we even do that anyway?" Gabby asked. "We're not in our own bodies, remember?"

"Surely Carousella still can do her martial arts." Obi-Wan said. "Carousella, stand up, please."

Carousella got up onto her hands and knees.

"All the way."

"I can't walk like that."

"It's how humans walk," said Anakin.

"Easy for you to say. You've been doing it for years."

Anakin climbed down from the chair and got down on his hands and knees next to Carousella.

"Just do what I do, okay?" Anakin said.

Carousella followed Anakin's lead, and started to pick herself up and stand up on Obi-Wan's legs. Except, her new human legs started to wobble a bit, and she lost her balance and fell down on her now tail-less rear. "Ow!"

"This is probably gonna take a while." Gabby said.

"Trust me. We'll have them ready." Anakin said.

So, the next morning, while some farmers and the bounty hunters harvested the crops, the Jedi and the girls got to teaching the farmers to defend themselves.

"All right, everyone, form up." said Anakin, but everyone just thought he was adorable. "Can you stop gawking at me please?"

But the farmers thought that was cute too.

"Seriously?"

Gabby laughed and said, "Not so easy being cute all the time, is it? I'll take it from here. Everyone form up."

The farmers seemed confused though.

Gabby sighed. "Get into rows of five." But the farmers didn't even seem to get those right.

"I told you, we are not soldiers." said Dilanni. "We don't even have weapons."

"May I?" Gabby asked a farmer to borrow his tool, and she did some impressive spins with it she knew her father had done before. "Yup, these'll do."

"How did you...?" Anakin started.

"I watch you do tricks with your lightsaber all the time. And since we're pressed for time... Carousella. Got the hang of walking on two legs?"

"You bet I do." Carousella said, and Gabby gave her the tool. "It's time to get some serious training done."

That was when some intense music started to play.

"Where is that music coming from?" asked a farmer.

"It's time to begin official soldier training. Carousella style." Gabby said.

Carousella:

Let's get down to business,

Carousella threw up a couple of rocks, using Obi-Wan's power over the Force, and used the tool she held to bash them.

to make you fighters.

You say you're just farmers, but I want soldiers.

Carousella approached the farmers like a drill sergeant.

You're the saddest bunch I ever met

But you can bet before we're through

Mister, I'll make a guard out of you

Carousella began with guiding them through some basic martial arts fighting stances. Naturally, there were those who took more time than others. But Carousella made them push themselves, and Gabby taught Anakin to control her powers to provide water to drink.

Tranquil as a forest but on fire within

Once you find your center, you are sure to win

You're a spineless, pale, pathetic lot

And you haven't got a clue

Somehow I'll make a man out of you

The farmers though, at multiple moments, felt discouraged when they couldn't get certain things right.

I'm never gonna catch my breath

Farmer who kept dropping his weapon:

Say goodbye to those who knew me

Farmer struggling in pushups:

Boy, was I a fool in school for cutting gym

Farmer: This girl's got 'em scared to death

Really hope she doesn't kill me

Farmer struggling with kicks:

Now I really wish that I knew karate

(Be a guard)

Carousella: We must be swift as the coursing river

(Be a guard)

With all the force of a great typhoon

(Be a guard)

With all the strength of a raging fire

Mysterious as the dark side of the moon

Time is racing toward us 'til Hondo arrives

Heed my every order and you might survive

You'll be suited for the rage of war

Don't give up, come on, pull through

How could I make a guard out of you?

Carousella and Gabby continued to encourage each farmer as they kept training harder and faster, even having the farmers started fighting them for practice, and their skills improved by the minute. Anakin and Ahsoka were so impressed that the two youngest members of their team were such great teachers.

(Be a guard)

We must be swift as the coursing river

(Be a guard)

With all the force of a great typhoon

(Be a guard)

With all the strength of a raging fire

Mysterious as the dark side of the moon

(Be a guard)

We must be swift as the coursing river

(Be a guard)

With all the force of a great typhoon

(Be a guard)

With all the strength of a raging fire

Mysterious as the dark side of the moon

"They're ready." Carousella declared, and she and Gabby fist-bumped each other.

Later, Obi-Wan was walking beside Sugi.

"What happens if you need the barn as a fallback position?" Obi-Wan asked. "With all the sillim here, it'll be difficult to squeeze the farmers in."

"There's room." said the bounty hunter, patting Obi-Wan's head.

"That is not the proper way to pet an equine. And I worry that you care more about the safety of the sillim than you do for the safety of the villagers."

"You think I'm only worried about my profit, is that it?"

"The thought had crossed my mind. As well as the instincts of a horse, who can sense many things long before humans can."

"So in your mind, I'm just like any other pirate."

"Am I wrong?" Obi-Wan said, accidentally snorting. "Excuse me."

Sugi chuckled and said, "Not entirely. But it is easier to protect the villagers, and the sillim, if they're both in the same place."

"Then might I suggest-"

"You might suggest anything you like, General Kenobi," said the bounty hunter.

Obi-Wan stood on his back legs, startled, and spread out his new wings, which startled the bounty hunter slightly.

"Obi-Wan..." Carousella said, coming. "And, apparently you've just discovered an alicorn's defense mechanism. Standing and using your wings to make yourself look bigger."

"Well, that explains why you have such large wings." said Obi-Wan, getting down.

"As I was saying," Sugi continued. "You might suggest anything you like, but I know what I'm doing, and I will keep these people safe my way."

Ahsoka, meanwhile, was helping some of the farmers practice with slingshots, while the robot bounty hunter, named Seripas, was cutting down a large tree, and tried to hold it up himself.

"Seripas! It's too heavy!" Ahsoka exclaimed.

The Togruta rushed over and got Seripas out of the way before the tree could crush him, but when they landed, he started to have trouble moving, and some air hissed as part of him opened.

"Seripas?"

Seripas' head popped open like a little door, and out came a little creature, who quickly hid himself.

"Don't look!" stammered Seripas. "I-I'm having a suit malfunction."

Seripas pulled a few switches and managed to get his suit to sit up.

He sighed and said, "Not very intimidating, am I?"

"You don't have to look tough to be tough." Ahsoka said. "I've got a surrogate little sister who knows that better than anyone I know."

Seripas managed to get his suit up and running again.

"I thank you for your help," said Seripas in his robo-voice.

Obi-Wan followed Carousella to see how Gabby and Anakin were doing with the other farmers.

"That's it, everyone!" Gabby cheered. "You're doing great."

But Dilanni was still dropping his pole. Embo, who stood by and watched, caught a pole and laughed as he caught a pole another one accidentally threw at him. Then he said something.

"I don't need to be able to understand what you just said to know that it wasn't very nice." Gabby said, glaring at Embo.

Dilanni just whined and dropped his pole again.

"The bounty hunter is right," said Dilanni. "Every minute you waste teaching us to twirl these stupid poles is time you could have spent beating those pirates yourself."

"And what good would that do you?" said Obi-Wan as he and Carousella approached.

"Another band of brigades would inevitably come along," said Carousella. "Or do you intend to give away part of your crop every harvest season?"

"If you make us do this," said Dilanni. "There won't be another harvest season!"

"All right, everyone, get back into position." said Anakin. "And if anyone aww's... I swear I will rain on you!"

"Anakin Gabriel Skywalker!" Gabby scolded. "We do not threaten people we're trying to help. Wow, that felt all tingly. I'm getting good at this taking charge thing."

And sure enough, the farmers got better and better as more time passed. But, they didn't know they were being watched... until one of the bounty hunters looked to a cliff.

"There, a scout!" said a bounty hunter. "Embo!"

Embo went after the scout.

"Obi-Wan, you have wings now. You can fly after him!"

"I don't know how to work these things!" Obi-Wan said, flapping his wings and falling onto his stomach.

"Then let's just run!" Carousella said, still running like she was a horse in Obi-Wan's body before adjusting her movement. "Still getting the hang of human running!"

Luckily, Embo didn't need any help, and he took out the scout no problem.

"Whoa!" Carousella yelped, and she tumbled onto the ground, landing on her stomach. She shook her head quickly to recover as she got up.

"Quick work." said Gabby.

Anakin came up, panting.

"How is it that you outrun me in my body as well as your own?" Anakin said, surprised he couldn't run as fast as Gabby did in her own body when he was in it.

"Mm. Maybe I just have more enthusiasm when I run." Gabby giggled.

Embo said something, which Obi-Wan understood.

"Yes. But when this scout fails to report to Hondo, he'll be coming-"

"Soon." Carousella finished.

Meanwhile, at Hondo's ship, another one of his men approached him with a report.

"The scout has not checked in from the village." he told Hondo. "He's long overdue."

"Well, well, well," said Hondo. "So it looks like Jedi are getting involved, doesn't it? Or at least we now know we can't take these villagers for granted. But you know what I always say- speak softly and drive a big tank."

Carousella quickly guided Obi-Wan on how to use her, or now his, wings, and they rushed over to meet Anakin and Embo.

"The farmers are in position." said Anakin. "Well, the ones who stuck around, anyway."

"Very well, Anakin. Turn on the fence." Obi-Wan said.

Anakin hit the button on the remote to turn on the electrical fence to surround the farm as the pirates were arriving.

"Battle positions, everyone!" Sugi ordered.

The pirates rushed in to attack, Embo and Sugi coming to attack. And this time, some farmers helped. Ahsoka activated a trap by slicing two trees with her lightsaber, and it blocked the pirates' path. Seripas, however, had his suit shot multiple times, but he was able to pounce on one of the pirates and knock him off his bike.

Hondo, however, used a big tank and shot the village from atop a big hill, and he hit...

"Embo!" Gabby and Anakin exclaimed in unison.

"Embo, can you hear me?" Sugi gently held Embo's head up. "You'll be alright. We'll get you inside."

"Everyone, fall back to the barn!" Obi-Wan shouted out.

Gabby picked up... herself. Well, her father. You know what I mean. It felt weird that she was now carrying her father to safety.

"That tank is going to tear the villagers apart." said Sugi.

"Only if someone doesn't get close enough to blast it with a magic spell." said Gabby. "Carousella, get Anakin to the barn."

Gabby gave her father to Carousella and climbed onto Obi-Wan's back.

"What are you doing?" Obi-Wan asked.

"It's time to get over your fear of flying, Uncle Obi-Wan." Gabby said.

"But-"

"I know how to fly a horse without crashing. I'll guide you every step of the way. You have to trust me."

"Die, Jedi scum!" said Hondo.

Gabby steered Obi-Wan into the air as he flapped his wings. She moved the reins in the right way and positioned herself so Obi-Wan knew how to maneuver himself in Carousella's body.

"Good. Steady. Now let's dive!" Gabby said.

Obi-Wan took a deep breath, and then dove down as quickly as he could, and Gabby jumped in with her father's lightsaber in hand.

"Peek-a-boo. I found you." Gabby said.

Hondo was frozen for a moment.

"Skywalker, what happened to your voice?" The pirate asked.

"Long story." said Obi-Wan.

Gabby tackled Hondo before he could use his weapon and started wrestling him to the ground.

"Obi-Wan, into the tank. Magic time!" Gabby ordered.

Obi-Wan jumped inside of the tank, only for a rat creature to jump on his face. Then, he thought of what Vivian would do, and he grabbed the rat with his jaws and held it tightly with his teeth while he used a little magic on the tank, and blasted its controls into oblivion before flying out of the tank.

Meanwhile, Hondo grabbed his electro-staff and attempted to fight Gabby again, only for her to kick him the stomach and knock him over the cliff, the captain just barely able to grab onto the edge in time, which the other pirates were quick to notice.

"Help me!" Hondo begged.

Gabby looked at him oddly.

"Skywalker, let me call off my men."

Gabby raised a brow at him.

"Why are you looking at me that way?"

Gabby deactivated the lightsaber, crossed her arms and sang, "You didn't say the magic word."

Hondo sighed and said, "Fine! Please help me."

"That's better." Gabby said, and she gave Hondo a hand, only for the pirate to push her off the cliff.

Luckily, Obi-Wan swooped in and caught her on his back and brought her safely down to the village.

"Thanks, Uncle Obi-Wan." Gabby said, and she gasped happily. "Hey, you're really flying. And you aren't scared!"

"I cannot allow fear to stop me from protecting my loved ones when they need me." Obi-Wan smiled.

Hondo stood at the edge of the cliff as his ship arrived, and he had one last message.

"This effort is no longer... profitable!"

And the pirates left the village and Felucia.

There was damage to the land, but the villagers were safe again.

"There are crops to harvest," said Casiss. "fields to till, huts to rebuild. Now, let's get to work."

The farmer turned to the Jedi and said, "How can I ever thank you for saving our village?"

"We didn't save your village, Casiss." said Anakin. "Your people did."

"For the first time in my memory, my people don't have to be afraid. We will never forget you."

"That's one more battle we've managed to win together." Gabby said, putting her hand in for Carousella to touch.

Carousella put her hand in and motioned for the guys to touch too. Anakin reached up, and Obi-Wan put his hoof in. However, once they did, their hands and hoof glowed, and then all four of them were surrounded by magic sparkles, and they started spinning as they were lifted into the air, to everyone's surprise. And with a flash, they all ended up back on the ground.

Gabby was the first to open her eyes again. This time, when she looked at the others, she saw Obi-Wan, Carousella, and... Anakin. She looked at her hands, and then made a big ball of water appear to act as a mirror and saw she was herself again!

"I'm me again!" Gabby exclaimed.

And that was when the others woke up.

"I'm not a little kid anymore!" Anakin cheered.

"And I'm a pony again!" Carousella said, flapping her wings and feeling her tail. "I never thought I'd miss my tail and wings so much!"

Obi-Wan stood up, but lost his balance for a moment.

"Now I see what you meant when you had trouble in my body earlier." Obi-Wan said.

Sugi cleared her throat and said, "I seem to find myself light on company. Still need that ride back to the Republic outpost?"

"If it wouldn't be any inconvenience." said Obi-Wan, now back in his own body.

"On the contrary, it would be my pleasure."

And so, the Jedi got the ride they needed, and they were so happy to be themselves again. After spending a few hours in each other's positions, they learned not to misjudge each other based on age, size, or cuteness.
