"Welcome viewers, I'm Shera Nova bringing you the latest in Galactic Royal News," said a green Twilek woman who was giving a report from outside Naboo Palace. "Here we are live at the Palace of beloved Republic planet Naboo, where tonight famous young royal, daughter of Senator Padme Amidala-Skywalker, Princess Gabriella Amidala-Skywalker, shall receive her crown and title of official crown princess of Naboo. And many guests from all across the Galaxy. Royal families, Republic Senators, and even the Jedi Council have turned out to arrive at this historical, once-in-a-millennium occasion.

As guests arrived in limo-crafts and carriages, they all walked down the red carpet, dresses up in their finest outfits as the cameras flashed.

The royal families from Mythiria all walked the red carpet, looking fabulous as they walked by, Queen Reigna looking absolutely radiant as her mane flowed through the air. Many senators were among the guests arriving as well including Bail Organa and Senator Chuchi. Even the Jedi Council dressed in something other than their robes for this occasion. Master Fisto came with Aayla Secura as his date, Ahsoka was with Rex, and Mace Windu discovered that he looked pretty good in a tuxedo.

"Wait a sec," said Shera Nova. "I've just received word that some big celebrity guest is arriving at the ball."

Then, a familiar shiny limo-carriage arrived.

"Could it be...? It is! It's Count Crescendo!"

People screamed as the door opened and out came Count Crescendo in a very blue outfit. He smiled and waved to the crowd, and girls screamed as he walked by. As the ball's performer, but also the star of the ball's uncle, Carmine had to figure out how to be in two places at the same time so no one would put two and two together that he was Count Crescendo. So, with a little help from some new friends from the royal family of Metamorphia, a kingdom of shapeshifters on Planet Aurelia in the Enchantra system, they got a changeling to take on Count Crescendo's appearance so Carmine could appear with his family.

"And here they come, the royal family of the lost kingdom of Solaris!"

A servant opened the door and knelt down as Qui-Gon Jinn was the first to exit the vehicle, followed by the twins and their wives. Then out came Lamenta and Boba. The Jedi and the women were all dressed fancy like the princes and princesses they were, and each wore a crown each of them received on their last birthdays over the last year. Except Boba. But, his parents promised him that this year they would make sure he had a great party and got a crown. Boba was even dressed like a prince to fit with his family, and Remix wore a sparkly tuxedo as he walked beside his friend. And finally, out came Gabby, whose outfit was covered by a big pink cape so her outfit would be a big surprise at the ball.

"Birthday girl, coming through." Carousella called as she and Crescent stood at the end as Gabby's escorts into the ball.

Of course, many reporters did have questions for the royal family.

"Prince Anakin, how does it feel that your daughter will soon be Crown Princess?" asked one reporter.

"Senator Skywalker, or should we call you Princess Padme? How's it feel to be the mother of Naboo's first blood heir?" asked another.

"King Qui-Gon, any comment on your granddaughter's journey into becoming an official queen in training?" asked one more.

Those were some of the questions the family could make out, but then one reporter had a question for Boba.

"Prince Boba. How does it feel being the only adopted member of the royal family?" The reporter asked.

Boba froze in his tracks when he heard that question.

"As the only child with no powers, how do you handle living up to the standards of such a family?"

"Isn't it true you were once a clone and lived under the teachings of a dangerous bounty hunter?" Another reporter asked.

Boba started to breath slowly and heavily and started to hear nothing but his heart beating as these questions overwhelmed him with bad memories. He could hear the sounds of blasters firing, people screaming during the Battle of Geonosis, the day he heard his sister crying in pain and fear as Aurra kidnapped her long before her parents adopted him, and all those days Aurra beat him and tormented him while he was under her care.

"Boba!" A voice called out. It was Padme. And Boba snapped out of his trance.

"Boba, are you okay, buddy?" Anakin asked.

The family didn't seem to notice or care that there were still cameras flashing around them. Boba just nodded and used all his strength not to let tears come to his eyes as another reporter asked a degrading question.

"Our son won't be answering any of those questions," said Padme angrily. "You should be ashamed of yourselves."

"Come on, Boba." Anakin said, taking one of Boba's hands, and Padme took the other as they resumed their entrance into the palace.

Boba sighed as he and his family entered, and the doors closed behind him. Remix was quick to gently nudge Boba with a soft snort. That usually meant he wanted to comfort someone. Boba pet Remix on his muzzle and told him he was fine.

Anakin and Padme each put a hand on their son's shoulder and looked to his eyes.

"Boba, don't worry about what those reporters said," said Anakin. "They're just a bunch of bullies who profit off of asking hurtful stuff."

"What your father means is," said Padme. "You're still our baby. Our son. It doesn't matter to us that you were born a clone. We love you so much, and nothing could ever change that."

Boba still looked down, but he pulled himself together; tonight was his little sister's big night, and the last thing he wanted to do was bring down the mood with his problems.

"Just forget it," he said. "It's my sister's birthday, and I don't think she needs me to burden her tonight with my issues."

Boba just walked in to catch up with the others. The Skywalker couple looked at each other and agreed tonight they all had to put on their best smiles for Gabby on her special day.

Queen Neeyutnee stood at an altar set up in the ballroom with Qui-Gon Jinn nearby.

"Six years ago today," began the Queen. "Naboo was blessed with its first ever blood born princess. Once thought to be merely a legend, a child was sent for our previous ruler Padme Amidala, one of Naboo's greatest queens in history."

Qui-Gon took his turn to speak.

"Over the last year, I have grown to learn a lot about my oldest granddaughter." Qui-Gon said. "Gabriella is an extraordinary child. She is smart, powerful, and above all, she is kind, spirited, and has nothing but compassion in her heart for others that make her fit to someday become Naboo's leader."

"Tonight, her title as heir shall become formally official as she receives her crown at this very festivity." Queen Neeyutnee smiled.

Qui-Gon smiled as he called out, "Princess Gabriella Amidala-Skywalker, please come forward."

And the doors opened to reveal Gabby in a magnificent gown of red adorned with gold trim, and butterflies fluttered around her. People clapped as the princess stood sparkling like a little star as she walked down the aisle... or so she should've been doing. Gabby stood there and seemed... frozen. And her family was quick to notice.

Baby, come to Daddy. Anakin said through the Force, trying to get his daughter to walk to the altar. That worked pretty much all the time when she was three. But, Gabby wasn't a toddler anymore, so she handled fear a little differently now.

Gabby looked around and sent a message through the Force.

I need you, Big Brother.

Boba was surprised when he heard that message in his head. He was hesitant. As the only adopted royal family member, and possibly because his thirteenth birthday was still a few months away, he was the also the only royal family member who didn't have a crown tonight. But, he could practically feel Gabby's puppy eyes even from the distance.

"Carousella," whispered Boba. "When I signal you, play that classical song Gabby likes."

"Which one?" Carousella asked.

Boba whispered it into her ear. "And have Remix amplify it a little."

Boba snuck around the crowd as people were starting to whisper, wondering why the princess wasn't walking. Then, Boba arrived by Gabby's side and gently took her hand.

"I'm here, Little Sister." Boba said quietly. "Let's get you your crown."

Boba nodded to signal Carousella and Remix. Then, from her horn, Carousella played the tune of Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring by Johan Sebastian Bach. Boba remembered from one of their visits to Equinaro, Gabby loved that song when Harmony conducted some violins and a piano to play it so beautifully.

Gabby started to smile as she heard that beautiful music, and as she walked down the aisle with her big brother by her side holding her hand, she didn't feel so nervous anymore. Their parents, aunt, uncle, and grandfather all smiled when they saw how brave and supportive Boba was being for his sister. The Jedi Council members looked proud of him for what he was doing, even Mace.

"Go get them, Butterfly." Boba whispered, kissing his sister's cheek for good luck.

Ever since Gabby got her wings, Boba started nicknaming his sister Butterfly. It seemed fitting because in a way, it was a symbol of how much she had grown. She started out so small and helpless like a little caterpillar, but then one day grew to spread her wings and shine like the beautiful gem she was inside. And, Gabby liked the nickname. She loved butterflies as much as she loved horses.

Gabby slowly let go of her brother's hand before stepping up onto the altar.

On a pedestal sat a pillow on which sat a beautiful crown. a tiara of gold with little blue and green jewels to represent Naboo's natural beauty, and a big pink heart-shaped gem in the center to symbolize the big, spirited, compassionate heart of the princess who would soon be wearing it. Since Gabby was half of Solaris's royal family, which Queen Neeyutnee knew before the ball, Gabby didn't go with every traditional Naboo piece of attire, mostly because she didn't like how the makeup looked on her or how it felt on her sensitive skin. And if she was going to be queen of Naboo, she decided she was going to make some minor changes right now with the wardrobe. She never understood the need for elaborate wigs, and her uncle changed his hair to all sorts of crazy colors and styles for a living. But, Gabby preferred to keep her hair natural and style with that. So, for a start, she wanted to be the princess who kept it real, which was why she would be revealing her secret tonight.

As her grandfather, Gabby wanted Qui-Gon to be the one to place her crown on her head. So, Queen Neeyutnee was the one to hold up the pillow, and Gabby knelt in a curtsy before her.

"Will you solemnly promise and swear to someday govern the people of Naboo, to grow and to learn as crown princess, to defend and protect your kingdom and your people now as you shall someday as queen?" Asked Queen Neeyutnee.

Gabby slowly looked up and said, "I do solemnly promise and swear. For Naboo, for the Galaxy, and most of all... my family."

Gabby looked up and saw her grandfather was smiling at her. "Please stand tall." said Qui-Gon. And Gabby stood tall.

Qui-Gon picked up the tiara and held it up for all to see before lowering it to Gabby's head.

"It is with tremendous pride and honor that I crown you, Gabriella Rosella Amidala-Skywalker..." he placed the tiara on Gabby's head. "Crown princess of Naboo."

Gabby stood tall and turned to face the others, and everyone clapped and cheered for the now official crown princess.

"Speech! Speech! Speech!" said now four-year-old Forsythia, Fantasia's youngest sister.

Queen Reigna chuckled and got her youngest foal to settle down.

Gabby giggled and stepped up to give a speech.

"Thank you, everyone. It means so much that all of you came out to support me and my family tonight. Being future queen of Naboo is an enormous honor. My mother was an amazing ruler since long before I was born, and someday I hope I can be as great a leader as her. In my short life, I've gotten to meet so many great people from so many great places. No two people or places are exactly the same. And, I don't think I'd be who I am today without each and every one of you in my life. Not just as a royal, but as a person, what I want to inspire more than anything else is for all of us to be true to ourselves, and that starts with knowing that certain secrets must eventually come out, and tonight, I have a big secret that my family and I have kept for years, but with good cause. So, I ask that you hear me out before you make any judgments."

People started to look curious as to what the princess was talking about, though some already knew what she was going at.

"I'm sure some of you have heard the old legend of Naboo's princess." Gabby said, and she stated the prophecy word for word.

One chosen by force,

One chosen to rule

They come as one and bring forth anew

Together they come by chance,

And awake after a sleep following a dance

And to these two, though unplanned

Bring forth a child, so small, so sweet

A child of power

A child of smarts

A child of changes

And pure of heart

From forbidden love

This precious child

Shall change the story

To end with a smile

And with her heart

And powers of many

She will be queen

With gifts aplenty

"I know also that many rumors and questions have floated about in the galaxy about who my father is." Gabby said. "Most of you know Anakin Skywalker as my stepfather. But the truth is... he's my real father. The one who gave me life."

People gasped. Gabby fully expected that people would be shocked.

"If you pay close attention to the first third of the prophecy, One chosen by Force and Once Chosen to Rule, refers to each of my parents." Gabby said. "Daddy is the Chosen One, and Mommy was chosen to be Naboo's ruler years before she was even pregnant with me. And coming together by chance, following a sleep after a dance. My parents did dance at a special night. But, I won't go too deep into that. Daddy? Would you care to give your side of the story?"

Anakin stepped up, looking nervous. He took a breath and began.

"It's true. I am Princess Gabriella's biological father, and I was sixteen when she was conceived. It wasn't Padme's fault. Neither of us even know who initiated... what led to our daughter's existence. All we know now is that during the ball celebrating the Republic making an alliance with the Enchantra system, some jokester drugged everyone, so as far as my wife and I know, no one can remember anything, but a paternity test will confirm that Gabby is of my blood."

That was when Padme stepped in.

"We understand if some of you may feel the need to judge, but Anakin and I didn't marry because we had a baby together." Padme began. "Our love for each other, and for each of our children. That was always real. We didn't plan on having a family the way we ended up doing it... but I couldn't have asked for better children, or a more wonderful husband."

Anakin wrapped an arm around his wife.

"As for why my family kept it secret, as I'm sure you're all wondering." Gabby said. "I want you to all think... many of you here are senators, kings and queens, dukes and duchesses. Basically, people of high society, wealth, and power. I ask all of you to think about your children, your nieces, nephews, godchildren, and grandchildren. As children of people in such high ranks, are they not in danger of being targets for bounty hunters and high-end criminals?"

People seemed to think about what the princess was saying, so she continued on.

"Well, the children in the Jedi Order are also targets mainly for the Sith because they would naturally be more susceptible to the Dark Side if not taught or raised properly. So, think about it... how common is a half-Jedi princess? How big do you think the bounty on such a kid would be?"

People were silent.

"Exactly. My parents only kept it secret in order to keep me safe, and in doing so I was keeping my family safe as well because we knew that those who would target me would use my family to get to me. So please, don't judge or hate on my family. They're great people. I couldn't dream of a better family if I tried. Tonight, I chose to let that secret out because as a leader, I want the people I lead to know they can trust me. If we can't trust our leaders, how can we keep order running? I love Naboo. Do you think I'd be standing up here, risking everything on my birthday and coronation day, telling the whole galaxy a secret that's been kept since before I was born if I didn't?"

Again, people were intrigued.

"I stand here not only as Naboo's crown princess, but as a daughter to Padme and Anakin Skywalker, niece of Caroline and Carmine Jinn, granddaughter of Qui-Gon Jinn, cousin to Lamenta Jinn, sister to Boba Skywalker, and friend to all, standing for truth. And tonight, let's not let it be about what's happened in the past. Let tonight be a celebration of a new beginning, a new future for Naboo. No leader is perfect, but that doesn't mean, we can't strive to be the best we can be. So, on behalf of Naboo, I hope that starting tonight, old friends and new can come together and create a more peaceful era for present and future generations in this Galaxy."

People cheered once more as the princess concluded her biggest speech yet. Gabby felt so much adrenaline running through her, probably more than any average six-year-old ever felt.

"That was very brave, little one." Qui-Gon praised, kneeling down and holding his granddaughter's shoulders.

Gabby hugged her grandfather and thanked him.

And soon, there came an announcement that Count Crescendo was ready to perform a song.

"I'd like to dedicate this song to a very special girl on her special day." Carmine, or rather Crescendo now, announced over the mic, altering his voice slightly so no one would recognize him when he changed back to Carmine. Luckily, when no one was looking, Roya did the illusion spell so everyone would think Carmine was still beside Anakin. And the song began.

Blue and purple lights flashed as the music started, Lamenta's magical stars sparkling to light up the ballroom like a starry night sky. Crescendo entered from the same doors Gabby came in, his headset on.

Crecendo:

Glowin' up kind of love

Dip and slide through the cut

Glowin' up kind of love

We say "Hi, " you say "What?"

Crescendo strutted down the aisle like a model as he began the song, letting loose as he progressed in the tune and sang a bit louder.

Ooh-hoo ooh

Ooh-hoo ooh

Oh

Used to care what they'd say

Let 'em into my brain

But I found a new way

Ooh-hoo

Every time I fall down

I pick it up like rebound

Gotta get through somehow

We don't fly like we used to

We take what we've been through

And we can feel brand new

Ooh-hoo-hoo

I know I am a fighter

I feel the fire

I'm shining brighter

Ooh-hoo-hoo

We got the light

We're coming in stronger

We're in it together

If you want it it's all inside your mind

We got the light

Won't wait any longer

We'll get it together

If you want it then you can paint the sky

Glowin' up kind of love

Dip and slide through the cut

Glowin' up kind of love

We say "Hi, " you say "What?"

Crescendo reached out a hand for Gabby to grab, and he pulled her up on stage to sing with him. And he gave her a microphone to sing into.

Gabby & Crescendo:

Glowin' up kind of love

Dip and slide through the cut

Glowin' up kind of love

We say "Hi, " you say "What?"

Everywhere that I've been

Yeah, they I'm say different

But I'm good in my skin

Ooh-hoo, hey

If it doesn't feel right

Break it in with tie dye

And don't you stop 'til sunrise

We don't fly like we used to

We take what we've been through

And we can feel brand new

Ooh-hoo-hoo

I know I am a fighter

I feel the fire

I'm shining brighter

Ooh-hoo-hoo

We got the light

We're coming in stronger

We're in it together

If you want it it's all inside your mind

We got the light

Won't wait any longer

We'll get it together

If you want it then you can paint the sky (hey)

Glowin' up kind of love

Dip and slide through the cut

Glowin' up kind of love

We say "Hi, " you say "What"

Glowin' up kind of love (oh)

Dip and slide through the cut (oh)

Glowin' up kind of love

We say "Hi, " you say "What?"

we got the kind of love

(Ooh-hoo ooh) we got the kind of love

Ooh-hoo-hoo

We got the light (ooh-hoo ooh)

We got the kind of (ooh-hoo ooh)

We got the kind of love (ooh, ooh, ooh)

We got the light

Glowin' up kind of love

Dip and slide through the cut

Glowin' up kind of love

We say "Hi, " you say "What?"

Glowin' up kind of love (ooh-hoo ooh) (we got the kind of)

Dip and slide through the cut (ooh-hoo ooh) (we got the kind of love)

Glowin' up kind of love

We say "Hi"

We got the light

Crescendo lifted Gabby up for a big finish, and the crowd cheered. Gabby planted a kiss on the pop star's cheek. People thought it was adorable, but unlike Gabby, they didn't know that was her uncle under there.

"Happy Birthday, Gabriella." Crescendo smiled. "This is Count Crescendo saying goodnight Naboo!"

And the lights went out, and Count Crescendo was gone, and so was the Carmine illusion beside Anakin, as the real Carmine now stood beside him.

"How does he do that?" asked one of the Pantoran Chairman's daughters.

And then, Gabby was to have her first dances as crown princess with her family. No one knew for sure who she would choose first. But, Gabby knew exactly who she wanted her first dance to be with.

"It would be an incredible privilege, if my first dance partner would be... my big brother Boba." Gabby smiled.

Boba was a bit surprised, though. He would've thought Gabby would want Anakin to be the first one to dance with her, but she instead picked her brother.

"I wouldn't have gotten my crown without your help," said Gabby. She held up her hand. "Will you allow me this dance?"

And so, Boba took his little sister's hand and guided her to the dance floor as everyone gave them room. Then, Harmony conducted a beautiful waltz for the brother and sister to dance to. Waltz of the Flowers. The brother and sister danced very gracefully together across the floor before Gabby switch partners, starting with her father, then moving on to her uncle, and then having an amazing dance with her grandfather, who proved to be an astounding dancer. And Gabby didn't stop with her biological family. She even started to dance with many of her uncles from the Jedi Order, and everyone looked like they were having so much fun.

Throughout the night, Boba watched as people were constantly congratulating and praising Gabby for her coronation and how much she'd grown. Everyone was going gaga over her. Boba wondered if this was anything like when everyone else met his sister as a newborn. But, almost no one seemed to pay attention to him unless they had some insensitive comment about how he was adopted.

Don't people know how to mind their own business? Boba wondered. Not even cake and ice cream could make it hurt less.

Boba lay in his bed after the ball was finally over. It was about two in the morning, and Boba lay awake, staring up at the ceiling. He couldn't stop thinking about how many questions and how many people he'd encountered all in the same day. He knew he wasn't like his family. He didn't have magic, he couldn't use the Force, he wasn't any good at politics, and he wasn't even the best organizer, that proven with how messy his room got back at the apartment.

Unable to sleep, Boba sat up and looked at a framed picture that sat on his nightside table. A family photo that had been taken before the ball ended. Everyone was smiling in it, including Boba. Except, his was a little forced.

Sometimes, Boba longed for a miracle. His sister was a miracle on her own, and somehow things always seemed to work out for her. And miracles happened to the rest of the family too. Anakin and Carmine found out they were twins and finally reunited, Lamenta got to meet the aunt, uncle, and cousins she never knew she had, and Qui-Gon was brought back to life to have a second chance to raise his grandchildren and make up lost time with his sons. The only miracle Boba got was not having to spend the rest of his life in prison. He did get a loving family, but no one seemed to look past the fact that he was adopted besides them.

Some even made comments about how they thought Boba shouldn't even get a crown because he was adopted.

Boba sighed and felt himself falling into another song.

Don't be upset or mad at all

Don't feel regret or sad at all

Hey, I'm still a part of the family magical

And I'm fine, I am totally fine

I will stand on the side as you shine

I'm not fine, I'm not fine

Boba felt tears come to his eyes as he left his room and looked into other bedrooms where his family was sleeping, starting with Qui-Gon.

I can't move the mountains

Boba looked at his parents sleeping and walked down the hall quietly.

I can't make the flowers bloom

I can't take another night up in my room

Waiting on a miracle

Boba then looked at his little sister as she was asleep, cuddling her teddy, her crown sitting on the table beside her bed.

I can't heal what's broken

Can't control the morning rain or a hurricane

Can't keep down the unspoken invisible pain

Always waiting on a miracle, a miracle

Boba walked through the halls of the palace until he walked out into the gardens.

Always walking alone

Always wanting for more

Like I'm still at that door longing to shine

Like all of you shine

All I need is a change

All I need is a chance

All I know is I can't stay on the side

Open your eyes, open your eyes, open your eyes

That was when Boba started to imagine what it might be like to have magic like the rest of his family. To be super strong like Qui-Gon, or have the power to grow plants like Anakin and/or Gabby. And he looked to the stars, wishing so badly that he could fit in with his family, and that others would stop seeing him as just the adopted child.

I would move the mountains

Make new trees and flowers grow

Someone please just let me know, where do I go?

I am waiting on a miracle, a miracle

I would heal what's broken

Show this family something new

Who I am inside, so what can I do?

I'm sick of waiting on a miracle, so here I go

I am ready, come on, I'm ready

I've been patient, and steadfast, and steady

Bless me now as you blessed my parents years ago

When you gave them a miracle

Am I too late for a miracle?

Boba plopped himself face-down onto his pillow and broke down into tears, cuddling his stuffed lion.
