The Whole Prophecy

Kara managed to get a speeder that fit her, the twins, and Estrella. Fluit Glaciem was the one place in Enchantra no Enchanted of light or dark magic could magically teleport to. The only way there was by boat, swim, or flight.

"Tell me, Boba." Kara said, piloting the ship. "Are you happy in this family?"

"Yes. Why?"

"I haven't been in touch with the family, but I've seen what people have said. You should know, those words people spread are just that. And true, they hurt, but none of that determines whether you are part of the family."

"So I've been told so many times. Is it really my fault that I don't have powers of my own?"

"You carry every magical power of the royal family. Isn't to experience having magic what you wanted?"

"No. I mean, yes. But... that's not what I wanted most. I never asked to have a family with magic. I wouldn't even mind if they didn't have magic at all, or were farmers instead of royal people. I just... I just wanna feel accepted. Everyone else keeps saying 'You're adopted, Boba,' 'You're the only one who's not related to the family. And sometimes it's like I'm always being compared to Gabby or some other member of the family, or what a royal should be."

"That doesn't make you any less a prince or a Skywalker." Kara said. "Like you, I do not have a crown, but I am still part of the family. And, hopefully can become more involved with the family once this is all over. I have yet to bond with my little brothers."

"So, does that mean you'll be queen after Grandpa?" Boba asked.

"That has yet to be determined. Not every royal is destined to be a ruler of a kingdom."

"Like how I can't be an heir because I'm adopted."

"No. That's not it. Believe it or not, there have been kingdoms where an adopted child became the new ruler."

"Really? Like where?"

"Perhaps you should ask your friend Colden's mother."

Boba did not expect that. How did Colden never tell him his mother was adopted? Did he even know she was adopted?

"But, I can't be a leader, even if I were born into the family." Boba said. "I'm no good at it. I'm not effortlessly perfect Gabby, a natural-born wise guardian like Grandpa, a fearless hero like Dad, a perfect organizer like Aunt Caroline, or as good a dancer as Uncle Carmine. I still can't master that cheer move with the splits."

"I didn't realize you liked cheerleading."

Boba suddenly got embarrassed.

"My girlfriend Roya is a cheerleader. I learned mostly from her." Boba confessed. "At first, I only practiced it so I knew what she was talking about when she told me about it. Next thing I knew, I liked doing it and decided I wanted to try out for my school. But, I haven't told really anyone besides my sister. Other guys keep saying it's just for girls, just like when I started learning ballet."

"If it's just for girls," said Estrella. "Then who do they think plays the prince in Swan Lake? Or the Nutcracker or the Rat King? Obviously not the female dancers."

"Precisely." said Kara. "If girls can do whatever boys can do, then boys can do anything girls can do. Like having long hair for instance."

Boba fingered at his hair for a bit. It had gotten rather long over the last few years, now reaching past his shoulders. If he could let his hair grow like that, learn to dance ballet, and still be a great shot and protect his family's magic so bravely, why couldn't he also be a cheerleader? And if he could do that, why couldn't he be a great prince too?

"Are we almost there?" Boba asked.

"We'll be landing shortly." Kara said. "Why don't you go sit with Omega?"

And Boba did just that.

"What's cheerleading like?" Omega said.

"Well, on a lot of shows, they're shown to be evil, nasty girls. But, not all of them are like that. When you're a cheerleader, it's your job to motivate spirit. They mostly perform at sports games, doing all kinds of fun tricks and shouting rhyming cheers. It's actually a lot of fun."

"You think you can teach me to do it?" Omega said.

"Sure. You should see Roya, though. She's actually the captain of her cheer squad because she's the best."

"Tell me more about what being a big brother is like." Omega said. "If your parents do adopt me, would I be a good big sister?"

"I think Gabby would love you instantly." Boba smiled. "She loves meeting new people. Being an older sibling isn't always easy though, especially when you have to sit through little ones watching Blue's Clues and playing Nursery Rhyme cd's all the time. Last time she played Baby Shark, I kept humming it to myself for like a week."

Omega giggled.

"It's not as funny as it sounds when you're the victim. You should've seen the time some of the Padawans and I started daring each other, and one of them made me get my nails painted... by my sister. And she just had to choose her favorite color, Sparkly Rose. That's one girly thing I'm definitely never doing again, and not just because pink is not my color. I also hate the stench. I don't know how women stand it."

Omega laughed at that too. "You have such an exciting life."

"Trust me, in my family, it's never a boring day."

It wasn't long until the ship finally landed, and the group exited the vehicle.

Boba held the map and looked around. The whole land looked to be made of ice, yet there were rivers flowing.

No one could believe what they were seeing.

"Whoa..." gasped Omega. "How is this possible?"

"It's a magical place." Boba said.

Omega tried to touch the water, but Boba stopped.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Don't touch the water." He said.

"Why not?" Omega asked.

"These rivers are magical. We don't know what they'll do." Boba looked at the map again. "According to this, this little river should lead us to the river of memory."

Boba, Kara, Estrella, and Omega all followed the little river down a path of ice and snow, through a forest of ice crystal trees. However, their river ended going through giant wall.

"Great, now what do we do?" Kara said, unsure.

Ah-Ah Ah-Ah

"Did you hear that?" Kara asked.

Ah-Ah Ah-Ah

Boba listened.

Ah-Aahh Ah-Ah-Aahh

"I hear it too!" Boba said.

At first, Boba didn't understand it. He couldn't open the chest because he wasn't a royal by blood. But then he recalled the words to Qui-Gon's lullaby.

In her waters deep and true

Lie the answers and a path for you

Yes, she will sing to those who will hear

And in her song, all magic flows

Could it have been because Boba had magic flowing through him that he could hear this voice? Or because he was searching for answers and had the will to face his fears and find them?

Boba listened again and followed the song to a part of the wall where a brick of ice seemed to be falling out. He wondered something. In some of the storybooks he and Gabby read together, there were secret passageways that were opened by pushing on a brick. Maybe...

Boba pushed the brick in, and then a door began to open, showing the way to a bigger river. It was dark from where Boba stood, and he wasn't sure what to expect once he entered.

"Hello?" Boba called, only hearing his own echo in response.

It looked scary, but Boba knew that if he wanted to find answers to save his family, he had to go in there. But Kara stopped him.

"Hold on, Boba. Let a grownup check first."

Kara entered the doorway, disappearing in the dark, only to let out a yelp, her scream echoing until there was silence.

"Aunt Kara!" Boba exclaimed, running in. Except... he fell.

Boba found himself going down a big waterslide that went down and round and round, and threw him up in the air, the boy landing in a soft pile of snow.

"Whoa... that was awesome!" Boba cheered.

"Well, I'm glad one of us had fun." Kara said, still dusting some snow off her robes.

"Aunt Kara, are you okay?" Boba asked.

"I'm fine, thank you."

There were suddenly two more screams as Omega and Estrella slid in. Omega was laughing as she landed in the snow.

"That was so much fun!" Omega said. "Can we go again?"

"Maybe later?" Boba said, looking around.

"Where are we?" Omega said.

Boba looked at his map and found a really big river that led into a cave of ice and snow.

The group followed the river and saw various crystals of ice flying through the air and falling into the river.

Boba carefully reach out to the water and touched it. A bit of water flowed into the air and took the form of a bubble, showing a time Boba recognized.

Gabby and Boba were riding on their horses through town, Gabby sneezing and making magical things happening.

"I remember this." Boba smiled. "That was my first birthday with Gabby. The day she had a cold while setting up my surprise party."

"I remember that day too." Kara said. "It took a week to get rid of all the fallen leaves and shoo the butterflies back outside."

"I wonder how we're gonna find the memories we're looking for." Boba said.

Suddenly, Boba heard a voice.

"Journey deeper into the river." said a female voice.

"Who said that?" Boba asked, looking around.

"To find answers, you must journey farther. Ask the right questions." said the voice.

Boba decided to journey farther into the cave and looked around.

Boba journeyed farther and farther while the girls all searched various parts of the caves for any answers.

"Hmm. That voice said ask the right questions." Boba reminded himself. "How was the last Doresho Gypsy defeated? How can I stop Lady Morpha now?"

Suddenly, Boba saw a butterfly of an icy blue fluttering by him. The butterfly flew by him and seemed to motion for him to follow it. So he did.

Boba came into another part of the cave. a very empty part the size of a ballroom. And up on one of the walls, the butterfly showed Boba the words to a prophecy Gabby told him about once

One sent away births another one day

Then that one births two

Raised apart by two.

Each of those two, shall each birth one

A child of great power

And incredible smarts

Then together they come

The children's group of four,

And the eldest shall be chosen

To open the door

Powered by heart

Helped by three,

Defeated for good the threat shall be.

Except... Boba noticed some spaces between verses, as though some words were missing.

"Hey, guys! I found something!" Boba called.

"Stay where you are Boba." Kara called. "We're coming."

And soon the girls arrived, and they saw the prophecy. What did it mean?

"Estrella, do you think you can fly up and get some of that snow off the wall?" Boba asked.

"I most certainly can." said the alicorn

Estrella flew up and dusted the snow from the prophecy with her tail. Now the prophecy looked complete.

One sent away births another one day

Then that one births two

Raised apart by two.

Each of those two, shall each birth one

A child of great power

And incredible smarts

Then one brings two

Not of blood

One who finds another

Each a child of royal heart

Then together they come

The children's group of four,

And the eldest shall be chosen

Make first a sacrifice

Save the others

And together they come

Sisters and a brother

With heart so true

To create the power

To open the door

Powered by heart

Helped by three,

Three gifts of love

And distant memory

Defeated for good the threat shall be.

Boba thought about the first few lines and figured that the children were him, Gabby, and Lamenta. But, he had no idea who the fourth child was... until he read the one who finds another. Maybe Omega was part of the prophecy too. But, he had no clue what they were supposed to do to power by heart and get three gifts of love.

Boba and his friends looked around as the water flowed again, this time reaching all the way to the ceiling above, and showing them three memories. All of them were kingdoms being attacked by Doresho Gypsies, including the Fall of Solaris.

In each memory, there was a fierce battle to defeat the moth gypsies, but at the end of each memory, there came two beings... one with power over water, and the other over light. And they combined their powers, creating a powerful beacon of liquid light that attracted the moths to it, and once all the moths were eliminated, the entire royal family combined their powers, terminating the source of all the moths for good.

"Where are we supposed to find someone who can make light magic?" Boba wondered.

"Isn't that one of your sister's powers?" Omega pointed out.

"You're right, it is. But, we don't know the spell to cast it." Boba said. "River, can you show us the spell to create the liquid light again? More clearly this time please?"

The river showed it again. Every memory showed the liquid light seemed to be made in the same place, at a pavement that had the Solaris sun symbol on it. And together, the ones who created the liquid light said a short series of words.

Sun, light, and water rise

Lure moths of darkness

To the liquid light!

"Okay. So, all I have to do is go to that place and use the magic I have now to defeat Lady Morpha's moths." Boba said. "Should be easy enough."

"How exactly do you plan to get there with Lady Morpha's slaves there?" Estrella pointed out.

"They're preparing for her coronation; she probably has them tending to her every second of the day."

Suddenly, Boba's phone rang again.

"Wow. Can't believe I actually have a signal down here." Boba said, taking out his phone. Except, what he found was not good.

"Hello, my subjects." said Morpha over a livestream. "Change of plans. My coronation is to take place tonight. At midnight, I shall be crowned, and Solaris will be the start of the new Republic of Enchantra."

Boba logged out of the livestream.

"We gotta get to Solaris fast." Boba said.

Omega shivered. "And we need to get out of here fast. It's freezing!"

Boba saw he and his friends were starting to freeze up.

Not too far or you'll be drowned

Boba had forgotten that part of the lullaby.

"Let's run!" Boba said.

And the group of four began running as fast as they could to get out of the cave. Boba used Gabby's fire magic to warm everyone up a little to buy them some time. They had to hurry if they were even going to survive the cave to go stop Lady Morpha.
