Lady Morpha & the Magic Mirror

Darth Sidious knew he made a mistake when he tried using Silvaria as an ally. Her power was not yet strong enough to fight anyone more than once, much less the unexpected new powers of the young Princess Gabriella or the magic that Anakin's twin Carmine apparently possessed. This time, he was smart enough to find someone of dark magic who was already strong in her magic.

Before Sidious stood a woman in a dark gray dress with the pattern of a moth's wings. And she had big black, gray, and white moth-like wings.

"You may call me Gray Morpha." the woman told the Sith Lord.

"Tell me, Lady Morpha," said Sidious. "Your power forces a victim to be enslaved to your will. Will your power work on even a strong, powerful Enchanted?"

"Of course. No living being is immune to my power." said Lady Morpha. "Not even the most powerful being can escape my enslavement spells easily. Some, I do not even need to force, only convince them to give in. My moth bites, as I call them, will force anyone you wish to do as I tell them, including working for you."

"And what is it you wish in return?"

"Only to have the lost kingdom of Solaris for myself. After the royal family sent away their child, there was hope sent out that the royal family and their magic would be restored. And over time, it has, and will soon be complete. I cannot allow that. Thus, I will help you take down the Jedi, but only if I may take down every last living descendant of the royal family of Solaris."

Sidious thought about it. He did need Anakin as his apprentice, but he only needed him long enough to help him take over.

"Very well. But Anakin Skywalker must be the last one you terminate, and you may only do so when I give you the word. He is crucial to my plans."

Lady Morpha seemed hesitant, but she reluctantly agreed.

One day, the Separatists found something odd happened with one of their ship's screens. They soon discovered it was no longer an ordinary screen, rather, it became a gateway of some kind. And thus, they decided to do a little investigation of where it led.

Sometime later, the Madrigals were all peacefully sleeping in their beds. But in Mirabel's room, a big, hooded figure snuck in through the mirror and then bumped into the door. Mirabel stirred, and the figure ducked down to the floor.

The figure was confused by the door when it didn't seem to have any buttons or automatically open. But then, they found the doorknob and turned it to open the door.

Mirabel rubbed her eyes and sat up in her bed as she heard her door close.

"Hello? Is someone there?" Mirabel asked. There was no answer.

Suddenly, there was the sound of someone screaming, and Mirabel immediately sat up in her bed again, this time grabbing her glasses, and rushing out, but not without grabbing an umbrella to use as a weapon.

When Mirabel got out, she saw Camilo down on the ground near a broken glass and a small puddle of water. But that wasn't the only damage around him. Part of the walls looked like they and some lines of black soot drawn across them, and Camilo had to dodge whatever made them.

"Camilo! What happened?!" Mirabel said, helping her cousin up.

"I was getting some water, when all of a sudden this horrible beast made of metal came out. It had swords made of light and it tried to get me, but it missed, and then it went upstairs."

But Mirabel didn't look amused.

"Primo, the middle of the night is not the time for pranks." Mirabel said.

Camilo was about to tell Mirabel it wasn't a joke. But that was when they heard the sound of a little girl screaming, and the two cousins saw the cyborg beast Camilo mentioned before.

"Rosella!" Mirabel exclaimed. "Stop right there, kidnapper!"

Mila heard the sound and saw the horrible beast and immediately got out a defense weapon she'd built and pointed the gun at the cyborg.

"Get your freaky hands off of mi hermanita!" Mila said angrily, but the cyborg sliced her weapon with one of his and would have sliced her too if she hadn't ducked and then used her telepathy to flip herself over him.

"Impossible. There are Jedi in this world too?" The cyborg said, sounding confused.

That was when more of the Madrigals came out, having been woken up by all the commotion.

"Rosella!" Bruno and Alicia exclaimed.

Isabela tried to use her plants to stop the cyborg, but the monster used his swords of light against them too. Not even Pepa's weather patterns stopped the cyborg from entering Mirabel's room, where Bruno quickly followed.

Rosella was crying in fear as the cyborg carried here into Mirabel's room and brought her towards the mirror.

"Do not cry, little girl." Said the cyborg. "Uncle Grievous will take good care of you as long as you behave yourself."

Bruno burst in.

"Release my daughter!" Bruno said angrily.

"Papi!" Rosella screamed as Grievous held her tighter.

That was when Grievous jumped through the mirror and disappeared with Rosella, to Bruno's shock and horror.

The Madrigals were filled with disbelief when they found that the monster disappeared into Mirabel's mirror.

"Mirabel, where did you buy that mirror?" Isabela asked her sister.

"Just from the furniture shop. They never said anything about it being magical." Mirabel said.

"Because it wasn't," said Mila, looking into her chemistry journal. "Not until Rosella broke it and I fixed it."

Mila explained to the others that for one of her fixing solutions, she'd needed to heat the ingredients, but her burner was broken, so she borrowed the old candle a few years ago and used it to heat her solution.

"Some of its magic must've transferred to the solution, and then the sand and Tia Pepa's lightning when they were combined to fix the mirror must've turned it into a portal of some kind to another world."

Mila put her hand on the mirror, and her hand went through it.

"We have to save Rosella!" Pedro said, clutching to Mila's skirt.

"But we don't know anything about this other world." Mirabel said.

"True, but we are the Madrigals. We're no strangers to crazy things happening." Mila said. "Rosella is part of this family, and she needs us now more than ever."

So, the Madrigals assembled a small team to go into this other world. Bruno was going because he was Rosella's father, Camilo and Mirabel because they were the only ones who'd seen Grievous enough to recognize him, and Mila got some of her inventions she believed would be useful, as well as Chika.

Of course, Julieta made sure to give them some health bars Mila helped her invent that would last for some time if any of them needed healing.

"Be careful out there." Julieta told her family.

"We will, Mama." Mirabel said.

And so, the team went into the mirror to begin the mission to rescue Rosella. But, at the last moment, Little Pedro ran into the mirror with his father and cousins to go save his twin.
