Burning Tears-Chapter 20
Theme Song: "I Don't Wanna Stop" by Ozzy Osbourne

"Nathan...Don't give up."
"Who are you, dammit?!"
"Just don't give up...Please, for me..."
Nathan sprung to an upright position on the sofa. There was a guest room in Joseph's house, but Nathan chose to stick to the sofa. Given the events of the past week, he felt he could not be fully comfortable until Satan was put down once and for all. The entire house was a dark blue, every object looked the same color. He reached for the table to check the time: "6:38 AM."
"What the hell am I dreaming like that for at this time?" he mumbled, removing himself from the couch.
He groggily paced over to the kitchen and grabbed a glass cup from the dish rack. He then noticed a small note taped to the faucet of the sink that read: "Do NOT drink!"
"Fucking, don't tell me how to live my life." Nathan retaliated.
He turned on the faucet anyway and let the water run into his cup. Nathan shut it off when he had his desired amount. He took a big sip- but immediately pulled away and sprayed his consumed water into the sink.
"Awgh, what the fuck is that?!" he exclaimed.
He analyzed the water to just realize it was clouded and grainy- realizing what the note meant, while also remembering that there was an ocean close to the house.
"I'm not thirsty anymore." he grunted, dumping the water and placing the contents in the sink.
Nathan took a few steps to the living room again, but suddenly, the whole house started to quake severely. It was only a few seconds, and objects already began falling- Nathan even unable to stand on his own. The vibration of the house irritated his nerves and banged his knees against the floor. He then heard something heavy tumbling down the stairs in the living room.
Nathan attempted to stand, but toppled over on his side with the violent rumbling. Instead, he bouncily crawled to the living room. After a minute, he finally arrived and saw Joseph in his boxer briefs, also crawling to Nathan. The two inaudibly spoke over the earthquake, so they moved in closer to hear one another.
"ARE YOU OK?!" Joseph shouted.
"I WAS GONNA ASK YOU THE SAME THING!"
"YOU'RE THE ONE WHO YELLED!"
"WHAT?!"
"YOU'RE THE ONE WHO YELLED!"
"NO I DIDN'T!"
"RIGHT BEFORE THIS EARTHQUAKE, YOU DID!"
A loud crunch resonated throughout the house, followed with more as the walls of the house had expanding cracks.
"I YELLED BECAUSE YOUR WATER SUCKS!" Nathan continued.
"WHAT?!" Joseph leaned in.
"I SAID, I YELLED BECAUSE YOUR WATER SUCKS!"
"THERE WAS A NOTE THERE!"
"I KNOW! I DIDN'T CARE ENOUGH!"
"WELL SHIT, DON'T BITCH ABOUT IT THEN!"
"WHAT?!"
The two were interrupted when a portal opened up beside them and Archangel Gabriel leapt out of it with an expression of disturbance.
"WE MUST LEAVE! HE'S HERE!" he exclaimed.
Gabriel gripped their collars and dragged them both into the wormhole.
In Mississippi, USA...
The three re-entered reality on top of a wide stony building of brick, limestone, and stucco; it was The Old Capitol Museum in Jackson, Mississippi.
Nathan and Joseph looked to their left and right at the rest of the party to go against Satan. At the far right, Nathan spotted an additional member beside Athena he had not recognized. The spartan-armored woman with long black hair looked to Nathan to reveal the familiar face of Adrianna. The two smiled in relief to see one another, but were cut off when the quaking intensified beneath them, almost causing them to trip over. In front of the museum, in the wide intersection, the ground split open. All the Archangels jumped off the building as the roof felt like it was slanting forward. The rest noticed this too and jumped off as well- while Athena held Adrianna close before doing so.
Archangel Michael drew his golden blade and the rest of his squadron followed. Athena held her spear close with the tip aimed ahead, and Adrianna readied herself behind her bronze shield. Dracula and Joseph turned into their alternate forms, Nathan grabbed his Blazer handles, waiting to light them up, and Hades, Horus, and Poseidon summoned their respective weapons.
Geo then appeared in front of the group, right above the rift in the ground, wearing an all black suit; and all at the same time, cars screeched when their brakes were slammed, people panicked as the sky reddened and the quaking continued with the separation of the earth's crust. Geo cracked his neck and knuckles, then started removing his suit jacket, subsequently removing the buttons of his shirt, tossing the two aside. His body tonnage seemed frail for someone of his power, with very little muscular detailing.
"Well, that was unexpected." Nathan and Joseph snorted.
Everyone else picked up on laughter, but it seemed like it was more at them, than with them. Geo squatted down to the crack and placed each hand on top of each side. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Then, his fingers crushed into the crust of the earth, and he tried pulling both sides closer to one another. With each passing second, the tonnage of his body started tightening and deepening. His arms then grew with muscles, along with his shoulders, back, and torso. Geo dipped lower and his grunting escalated into a howl of an undying effort, as his body maximized to his need, while even slightly exceeding the muscular mass of Joseph- as a werewolf.
"Holy shit! Joseph, Nathan, and Adrianna said, dumbfounded.
"That was unexpected," Joseph added, "He's got-...Ten?! Is that humanly possible?!"
"Geo surely isn't a human- so he can have ten-pack abs if he wants!" said Nathan.
"Bet you couldn't do that, Nathan!" Adrianna teased.
"Damn right I can't! Don't expect it anytime soon, sweetheart! Just let me know when you get to six!"
Among the crackling, a much harper snap was heard, as the two sides widened more through Geo's strength, and suddenly, a vertical blaze erupted below Geo with a force that sent him high up in the sky to the point where he could no longer be seen. Out from the the crevice, tens, hundreds, thousands of demons crawled out like bees from a hive. Regular devils, goblins, hellhounds, hellbats, giants, and too many to classify in one sitting began to wreak their havoc and destruction by thrashing at and murdering any human in sight, raiding and pillaging their buildings, dragging people out from those buildings to paint the dark road a color darker than wine.
Like an infinite fountain, these monsters proceeded in spawning, but the most notable of them all levitated from the depths of his kingdom: Lord Satan.
Satan's eyes directed upwards and caught an incapacitated Geo by his throat in midair. He firmly drove his trident through his stomach, twisted it, then yanked it out with a smile, tossing the Guardian aside. Nathan's indignation mounted into pure rage and he lunged forward to fly to Satan.
Satan let out a laugh, "Let the battle begin, my son!"
Right before Nathan could hit Satan, the demon king burned away into nothing. Nathan followed through with the attack as a hellhound had charged forward at Nathan, but was met with a blade to its lower jaw, neutralizing it.
Horus pointed his winged staff towards Geo and the eyes of it illuminated yellow, "'Iinah ealaa qayd alhayat. The Guardian is alive."
"Well, that's all that matters then. As palépsoume! [Let's fight!]" Poseidon hollered.
Onwards everyone advanced against the army, into the heat of battle. Hades levitated to the right to face his own horde. Three charged him and he rose and balled them up in the air with the command of his dual-point pitchfork, then compellingly launched them into a nearby minivan. An ogre appeared behind with a mace fit for its outstanding height, and it lifted it above Hades. The ogre dropped it down on the god, but didn't complete his strike. Markedly, Hades stopped its whole momentum within his hand by one of the spikes. With one tug, the orangey beast stumbled forth into Hades, and when close enough, Hades drove his pitchfork right into its forehead., defeating it.
Sharp barking was heard from behind and a numerous pack of hellhounds stood there growling and snapping at the air, trying to intimidate Hades with their skull-faces, prominently spiked spines, and messy black fur that had traces of fire. The one in front stood out however. It was a bigger canine that had the same spiked back, but its eyes were black and had larger front paws with longer, hooked claws. In addition, there was no fur; just sleek black scales along its body.
Hades chuckled at the assumed leader, "Amazing, if only there were some humans around to formally discover you, Chupacabra."
The Chupacabra let out a menacing snarl, then led the charge towards Hades.
"Foolish mongrels! You've mistaken this as your play yard!" Hades chortled, pointing his staff at the ground in front of him. A wide blazing wormhole spun open and a massive black paw clasped onto the rim of it, pulling the rest of its body out. The three-headed, snake-tailed, Cerberus skipped out of the portal in front of his master.
"Tóra, synantíste to álfa sas! Kerberos, exaleípste ólous tous daímones! [Hellhounds, meet your alpha! Cerberus, eradicate of all demons!]" Hades continued, as the Cerberus chased down the fleeing pack of hellhounds.
On the opposite road, Horus was casting various spells against any demon that dared cross his path. With a simple wave of his scepter, a whole line of demons froze into thick shards of ice. A colony of hellbats screeched above him, flying down to face him. Horus let out a deafening falcon-cry that made the hellbats spin out of control. He then raised his staff and lightning bolts struck each creature to submission. Walking on nonchalantly, Horus caught the only surviving hellbat out of the air, shifted his grip onto its wing, and quickly whipped around to knock the head off the demon that was trying to surprise attack him from behind- also killing the hellbat.
Suddenly, he heard a scream of panic; up ahead, a woman was being enclosed by a circle of fierce goblins. Horus aimed his scepter at the skyscraper behind them and psychically guided the whole tower to spill over on top of them. Right before the building was close enough to hurt anyone, the Time God tapped his scepter on the ground and the tower, the damsel, and the goblins were frozen in time.
Still casual in emotion, he took his time to walk to the scene. He noticed the goblins had already started their bound towards the woman before they were unknowingly halted by Horus. Horus took advantage of this and rotated each of the motionless goblins towards each other. He then lifted the frightened African woman over his shoulder and continued his carefree and graceful stroll away from the scene. When far enough, his scepter glowed blue momentarily, and it could be heard from far as the goblins his and bellowed before the tower spilled over on them. A brown cloud of glass, dirt, and metal scraps blossomed throughout the avenue, but as it passed Horus, it instead brushed right over a golden sphere around him and the woman. After several moments, he released the woman in front of him when the debris cleared up, and the latter ran far away for safety.
A mile away, Athena shoved her spear through each of the mouths of demons that were conveniently lined up to fight her, winding up being skewered on her weapon while their screeches were silenced. A lanky demon with skin so thin, it nearly looked like a skeleton, dropped to all fours and hurriedly crawled to Athena. Athena heard its galloping, but the demon had already pounced on her and pinned her down by her shoulders. The beast opened its mouth and let loose its elongated blue tongue, and quickly constricted it around Athena's throat while she wriggled and gasped for air.
Just then, a silver blade's tip pierced through the demon's neck, causing it to cough out blood onto Athena's face. The demon went to turn around to face the attacker, but was ignorant on realizing he unpinned Athena. Athena grabbed hold of the tongue, and with the blade still protruding from its throat, she forced the bridge of the tongue through the edge of the blade, slicing it off to loosen the grip on her neck.
It was Adrianna who then removed her sword from behind, then Athena thrusted her spear into its pelvis. It dropped to its knees, then Athena bashed the side of its head with her shield to make it fall on its back, then Adrianna finished it off with a vengeful thrust to its face. Athena gestured Adrianna to come close while she wiped the demon's blood off her face with two fingers. Athena brought the fingers close to Adrianna's face, but the novice flinched in disgust. Athena pulled her closer by her shoulder and painted the blood on her face.
"Ew, what're you-"
"Don't touch it, I gave you a mark!" Athena interrupted.
"A mark? Of what?"
The symbol on her cheek looked like an inverted Z that stood on its lower vertex.
"It means 'Defense.' Although, I would have found my own way out of that predicament, it was nonetheless honorable of you to defend me in the field of battle. I thank you, Adrianna. I would forthwith want you to be on my side during any other battle."
"A mark of Defense?...I like it! Despite it being blood..."
Steady stomping was then heard from afar. The femme fatale duo readied their weapons in the direction of the sound and found a massive, house-sized, pot-bellied, brick-red demon of Hell; with a posture of a man, arms of a man with clawed nails, and the body and head of an elephant- enter, Behemoth.
"Well dear, we're about to shed some more of that blood." Athena concluded.
From above, the unlikely pairing of vampire and werewolf arrived. Dracula flew close and dropped Joseph onto the head. Joseph dug his whole hand in Behemoth's right eye, and before it could counter, Joseph wrung out its entire eyeball out of its head, the connective muscles with it. Joseph slid down the trunk and took a grasp of its tusks, pulling them upwards to fixate the head chin-up. Dracula then soared in at full speed with claws out and with both of their immense effort, Dracula hooked his hands under Behemoth's head, and the two tore off the entire head in a sanguinary fashion. The headless body fell forward while its blood poured all over the floor amongst the other demons and humans.
Dracula walked over to with a mouthful of Behemoth-meat and Joseph followed behind, but was sickened to see Dracula rip off a piece of the demon's ear. Joseph morphed back into his human form, turned around to bend over, and mix-colored vomit flowed out.
"Joseph, are you OK?" Adrianna called out, stepping closer, but not too close.
"Drake," Joseph began, wiping his face, "I don't know if you know this, but animal cruelty is my number one pet peeve."
"But, it's not a real elephant." Dracula replied.
"You're right, but it just looks like one. Had that been the real thing, first I'd throw up, then I'd beat your ass, then I'd probably throw up again."
"Noted." Dracula grinned, winking a shadowy eye.
In some other part of that area, further away from everyone, Satan stood patiently in the middle of the road. He then cracked a grin:
"I know you're there, I can feel The Black Phoenix within you. As does the spirit recognize me now. I know you both feel it."
From the closest alleyway ahead of Satan, Nathan finally showed himself, folding his wings behind him:
"Before we begin, you're going to tell me something."
"I'm sure I haven't dropped you as a child, but in case you forgot, you're banished- thus, you have no authority to say something like that."
"What happened to her? My mother."
"Ha! She died! I suppose I did drop you!"
"Why did you kill her?"
"Because her soul was too innocent, Nathaniel. That's what I do, in case you forgot that too. I kill and torture whomever I please, because it's just that entertaining! Where do you think you get it from- the urge to fight? If it wasn't for your mother's sympathetic genes, you'd be a killing machine, and I'd probably already lift your banishment for killing this whole planet!"
"And then you'd kill me."
"Yes, yes I would! Half-bloods don't deserve that kind of power."
"Neither do cowards like you."
"Guess that means we'll fight for it now?"
"Guess so."
The demon hunter found his ultimate target; the demon king will meet his ultimate challenger. This would be a fight of the future; no matter the victor, reality on this world will never be the same as it is at this moment. But, before the moment of all moments, a phenomenon happened. In the black and crimson sky of Earth, a golden light illuminated above them, and small masses of began to appear in the air. One by one, more appeared in a circular fashion. Some bystanding humans stopped fleeing to witness this once-in-a-lifetime event. After a moment of rapid spawnings, there must have been about then thousand of what appeared to be people in a praying pose.
"This can't be!" Satan growled.
"The Saints." Nathan whispered.
A brighter light shined in between The Saints and spread as far as the dark skies went, nearly blinding even. When the light diminished, a man in white was descending slowly to the ground. It was evident, it felt so true within everyone's hearts and brains; it was the one and only, Jesus Christ.
"I am Jesus Christ, and it is I who will promote peace in this world. You are all under my protection." He declared, not needing a microphone to project his voice to the world.
"Damn wrong!" Satan spat.
He spotted a human child- a red-haired little girl, and thoughtlessly hurled his pitchfork at her. The little girl crouched and covered herself in fear, but before she was even touched, the pitchfork stopped in mid-air, then fell to the asphalt.
Satan re-summoned his pitchfork to try again, but Jesus had just landed before him.
"You don't have the balls to fight me!" Satan snapped.
"Lucifer,-"
"SATAN! I am not one of Jehovah's pathetic saints anymore!"
"Listen to me, somewhere inside of you, I know Lucifer is there, waiting for his return."
"Lucifer is no longer, you damned fool!"
"There is no need for name-calling if its quality for an insult is insignificant."
"What?!"
"Silence, devil! You will call off this war or-"
Satan lunged forward to attack Jesus, but the god blinked behind him.
"Please-"
Satan spun around to throw a fist, but Jesus moved back fast enough, still refusing to fight back.
Satan went to move again, but froze in place- Jesus holding him with His mind. "Allow me into your soul."
"NO!"
"I beg you to stop this!"
"Never! You will die!"
Satan's body then radiated bursts of fire from his red skin, as if he was powering himself. Unexpectedly,
Satan started moving on his own again under Jesus' control, "Lucifer, do not do this."
"I'm going to make you remember my name;" he grinned, taking a step forward, "I will beat you until you say it, -"
"Enough of this."
"Scream it,-"
"Lucifer,-"
"Howl in agony to your beloved Heaven! Then I will send you to one place and one place only:-"
"You don't mean any of this..."
"Straight. To. HELL!"
Satan was nearing Jesus even as the psychic hold intensified, and with this, Satan's mouth opened and a ball of fire spun furiously within it.
Jesus then sighed, "I am sorry it has to be this way."
Satan puffed out a stream of hellfire between them, burning more violently and massively then any telltale dragon had ever created. Satan shut his mouth to cut the flow, but when all of the ash clouds passed, Jesus no longer stood there.
"Do not say I didn't warn you." Jesus finalized.
Satan checked over his shoulder, more agitated than before. He ran to charge Jesus, but the latter faded away with the saints from above, and right behind His gleam of light, Nathan had flown forward and tackled Satan to the ground. Satan's back scraped the road (without pain however), and he lifted up his legs to kick Nathan over him. Satan rolled to a stand and turned around to an already standing Nathan, holding his Blazers.
Satan summoned his pitchfork to challenge Nathan. Nathan moved up and swung both blades across, but Satan parried it with ease, making Nathan lose his balance slightly, then with the end of his trident, he pushed it onto Nathan's face, spun around and thrusted the pronged-end towards Nathan's face. Nathan trapped the weapon in between his swords, used this friction to drop down and slide through the gap of Satan's legs and to his other side. Satan's pointed tail the flicked towards Nathan and caught him by the throat. The tail flung Nathan over meet Satan head-on again, but while airborne, Nathan's own tail retracted and wrapped around one of Satan's horns, which then broke his altitude and swung him down faster again through Satan's legs. This time, Satan whipped around and punted Nathan right under his chin, and Nathan back-flipped quickly in the air before falling hard on the rough surface.
"I guess I haven't beaten your sorry ass enough during your childhood for you to learn to respect me!" mocked Satan.
Nathan answered with a shotgun and sprayed several bullets towards Satan's upper body, hitting his abdomen and face. Satan flinched back at the stinging bullets, but rebounded quick enough for his next move. He raised his own hand towards Nathan, and out from the hunter's hands, the shotgun liquified and drifted into Satan's hands, remorphing back into a shotgun again. Satan pulled the trigger and a plump slug boomed out and struck Nathan on his knee, shattering the knee cup. Nathan collapsed again, fiercely growling, and like a ragdoll, he was scooped off the ground by his hair and held high to face Satan.
"It wasn't wise of you to use a weapon originating from my kingdom!" said Satan.
Satan balled up a fist and the mercury molded and solidified around his fist like a glove, then he welted Nathan with it right on his cheekbone, sending him flying into the entrance of a building, and out through its opposite wall. He rolled across the street until he harshly bumped his onto the curbside.
"Damn it, he's stronger...I remember I could take a punch like that and get back up right after- and that was around a decade ago..." he said, peeling a shard of glass off his bloodied lip.
From the same building, Satan broke through the center of it with a bountiful leap to land right in front of Nathan. Satan released the mercury beside Nathan and grabbed him by the hair again, holding tighter to increase the pressure on Nathan's head. This time, the pitchfork was in his hand again, and as soon as Satan made a slight motion, Nathan kicked off the ground to a spin and kicked his spiked boots into Satan's face. Nathan tucked below and used his clinched spikes to flip Satan over and smash him head-first onto the concrete sidewalk, cratering it a bit. Nathan retracted his spikes and rolled back to a stand.
Nathan found his opportunity while Satan was down; his head raised slightly, but just enough, and his attention was directed on his own stability. Nathan quietly set up a Blazer, and with a quick step forward, his Blazer glided straight through Satan's neck with a single hack. Satan's spilled forward, and just like that, Satan burned away to nothing.
"I-...I did it."
"It's not that easy!"
Nathan felt a relentless pinch at his rib cage, right where his heart was, as Satan drove his pitchfork through Nathan and pinned him down to the floor on his side, crushing his body some more. Nathan felt his healing working as well as before, but with each passing moment, Satan either kicked, punched, twisted, or smashed his weapon again to add to the pain. As this happened, the familiar sensation of his life being absorbed by the pitchfork dawned on him. He grew fatigued, the Blazer at his side extinguishing on their own. As Satan continued to beat and absorb his soul, Nathan stopped fighting his way out of the position, helpless once more.
"You were never stronger than me! Whatever those filthy gods told you was a lie! I created you, therefore I own your soul and benefits that comes with it! You were born to die!" Satan chuckled.
Nathan coughed blood in the process, fading again from reality.
"You...can't win." Nathan uttered with a sly smirk.
This angered Satan further, releasing his pitchfork. He knelt down and dug his long fingernails into Nathan's eyes, piercing the muscle as blood darker than his skin poured out onto Nathan's face, choking him in his yowling.
"Yes, YES! This world will be- ARGH! Fucking-"
Adrianna ambushed Satan from behind with her sword poking out from his chest.
"Insolent, bitch!" Satan exclaimed, turning to his opposer.
Adrianna took a step back in shock of his presence, and Satan took a larger stride to her and drove an unforgiving kick onto her torso, sending her far away from him. Her body flailed about while rolling on the hard surface, but her armor absorbed most of the scratches. She slowed to a stop on her back, with several small scratches on her face. Adrianna was appalled by the overwhelming strength, and forgot how to breathe at the moment. When the huge lump of air made its way up her chest and to her throat, she hawked out the warm air, along with a warmer red fluid, causing her to cough more as her throat attempted to clear itself.
"NO! ADRIANNA!" Nathan noticed, as his eyes slowly healed again.
"Enough of you! I want The Black Phoenix now! I'll just trigger it!" claimed Satan.
He teleported in a flame over to Adrianna and stood there before her trembling body. Adrianna kicked at Satan's legs, but Satan only laughed. He picked up his own foot and rammed it on hers, as a distinctive snap was heard followed with her cry of pain.
"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Nathan exclaimed.
"You better hope so!" jeered Satan.
Satan stretched his arm behind him and boldly ripped off the sword that was still on his back, while the hole in his chest sealed up. Grinning, he drove the sword through Adrianna's other leg, keeping her immobile. Nathan went to try to stand, but something big bit down on his legs and flung him high up in the air. When high above, Nathan saw the familiar beast below him; it was black and scaly- a vicious demonic sea serpent, a lord of Hell: Leviathan.
Leviathan flowed up into the air and caught Nathan in a constriction that clenched him to face Satan. The hold was so tight, several bones were crushed and Nathan's head pressure was high enough to pain him, but just enough to keep him alive for the event. Satan raised his pitchfork, aiming right above her head. Nathan tried to call for her, but Leviathan tightened on him, preventing him from speaking at all. The pitchfork stopped going up, and right before Satan struck, Nathan had passed out. Suddenly, he disappeared in a black mist, leaving Leviathan confused and screeching in annoyance while it scouted around for Nathan.
Satan noticed this oddity, but to his surprise again, Athena arrived with a dive-in above Adrianna for the weapon to strike her shield instead. Satan stumbled back upon hitting the shield and when Athena sprung up again, she landed her spear into Satan's shoulder to hold him in place on the ground.
From above, Poseidon then jumped off a further building with a battle cry and stabbed his golden trident into Leviathan's jaw, grounding the beast entirely. When the two landed with a thunderous collision, it was Poseidon who was still standing when he yanked his trident off its jaw, and casually walked to Athena.
"I had never thought we'd ever meet eye-to-eye again." said Poseidon.
"We'll discuss our troubles when this is over." Athena turned away, throwing a rough left hook at Satan to stall him longer.
Poseidon took a short breath and raised up his trident. With an echoing slam of its bottom, he let out a force wave under him and almost immediately, a tsunami flooded through the city and washed out every grounded demon there was. The tide came in and took up Leviathan, then Poseidon, then Athena, Satan, and Adrianna with it. Horses made of the same ocean water formed to mount Adrianna and Athena out of the water, while a hearty Poseidon had three steeds held together by a rope of light. Just then, Leviathan submerged from the rapids behind Poseidon, but as the latter ignored it, another beast of the same size rose up behind it. All three heads of the Hydra's heads bit down on Leviathan's body and dragged it deep into the roaring waters.
Poseidon enjoyed his ride through the city, until he heard someone call his name. He looked ahead for Athena, but she was minding her own business.
"It is I, Gaia." he heard in his head.
"Gaia, this is not the time to play with our emotions. Who's side do you fight for this time?" he snapped.
"Poseidon, imminent trouble dawns on you from within the earth. I fear it beyond imagination; join with Hades and call upon Zeus, immediately!"
"I beg your pardon?! Zeus is occupied with Iblis in the East, are you trying to make us lose this battle?!"
"Poseidon, if you love this world and its living beings, you do as I say! Please, Poseidon!"
"How dare y-"
An earthquake started again, but this time worse when Satan arrived. This time, with little wait, the flooding waters blasted up into the air and burned to steam when it made contact with the lava shooting out from the street. The ocean level decreased to nothing, until Poseidon, Athena, and Adrianna met the ground again. Satan was on top of a nearby building:
"You will disrespect me no longer! This war ends now!"
A gigantic, tanned arm stretched out of the crater before them. Another titanic arm followed, then they pushed the rest of their body out of the hole to reveal a colossal of a man. The man looked strikingly similar to the three head-gods of Olympus, except he appeared more disheveled- savage even. His dirty white hair had several dreadlocks and he held a psychotic look in his eye- of course, if you could see his face at such a height once he stood upright.
"I HAVE RETURNED!" the Titan roared across the city, raising a sickle.
"This can't be! Damn it, Hades!-"
"I am already taking action, brother!" Hades responded to Poseidon telepathically.
In Indonesia...
Iblis clawed at Zeus' face and blasted a fireball with his other hand that sent Zeus to crash through a tree. He went to stand again, but a fire ignited beside him, and Horus and Hades took form.
"What brings you two here? I know Satan is not defeated, because this devil is still strong!" Zeus rolled his shoulder.
"Brother, trade parties with Horus, we need you in Mississippi right now!" Hades pleaded.
"Do you think me too weak to deal with Iblis? What is wrong with you?"
"Zeus, Iblis is a successor of my religion, if anything, I should be the one here. You are needed elsewhere, and immediately!" Horus now.
"What are you-"
"Cronus!" Hades interrupted.
"W-What did you say?" cracked Zeus.
"Cronus, has returned. Satan must have freed him from Tartarus the last time he visited The Underworld."
"By Olympus...Horus, take my place!"
"Gladly." Horus nodded.
A lightning bolt struck Zeus and Hades, zapping them back to the USA.
In The Realm Of Souls...
There Nathan's body hovered in a ghastly void and unaware that his wife actually survived on Earth. His body was among the vapor-like souls of the dead, some formless, some still taking the form of their previous body. The Realm Of Souls was nothing but a space of complete blackness, with no light but the glow a soul casted. A robed figure floated over to his side, The Grim Reaper:
"I'm sorry, Nathaniel, you do not seem fully recovered after all. That risk on your spouse's life should have been more than enough to unleash The Black Phoenix. The spirit may need more healing then, in which this amount of time will be unfortunate for the living."
He waved a hand across Nathan, causing him to glow a sage aura. The Grim Reaper glided away for Nathan to rest, but someone had addressed him, "Hola, El Parca."
"Hello, Santa Muerte." The Grim Reaper greeted curtly at the figure beside Nathan.
La Santa Muerte (Holy Death) was worshipped in Mexican culture. She resembled The Grim Reaper greatly, with both her scythe and her robe. In contrast, her robe was pure white with gold trimming and it was more fitted to her thinner skeleton.
"What brings you to my domain?" asked The Reaper.
"Someone would like to finally meet and speak with Nathan." she replied with a thick accent of a Latina.
"May I ask who?"
"Es una sorpresa. [It's a surprise.]"
"No one who may bring danger, I presume?"
"You have my word."
"Very well, go on."
The Grim Reaper carried on with his leisure while Santa Muerte observed the resting Nathan. "Someone wants to speak with you, Fénix Negro."
She placed a nimble finger on his forehead and shut her eyes for an extended period of time, her body glowing in a white aura.
"Nathan...Can you hear me? Wake up now..."
Nathan groaned in his dormancy with the recurring voice in his head.
"Nathan. Wake up. It's about time I reveal myself...My love, I am your mother: Natalia Blackwood..."

Bye now!
