Hey! It's Riannon, the author of this book. I just wanted to thank everyone that took the time to read this. I know many of you stopped halfway through, or didn't say much about it, but it still means a lot to see people enjoying my writing. I'm not saying this story was perfect-far from it, actually. The first draft was revised many times. All I'm saying is that I'm grateful to all the people that decided to read this, despite its flaws. I'd appreciate some more comments and votes on the next book, though.

The next book? Yes, there will be a sequel!
It's already written, but it does need to be redone. It'll be posted here during the summer, most likely.

Now I should probably thank the people that stayed for the ride. I have to dedicate this book in part to WispsOfImagination. Bailey is one of my best friends in real life and has been with me since the beginning. The character Lily was partially based off of her and one of my other friends that doesn't have an account on Wattpad. She influenced this book greatly and really helped out, but I think she would rather I kept her name confidential. My amazing cousin, writingwithgrace also gave really good advice and offered support with her sweet comments. They're both phenomenal writers as well.
Thanks so much, you guys! I don't think I ever would've been able to get as far as I did without you. ☺️

Okay, now on to the story behind the story.
Legend of Faerie started out as something I came up with when I was younger. I was twelve, and I had a really vivid dream one night. It was so detailed that when I woke up, I ran for my iPod to write down in the notes section what I could remember. The characters that came from the original dream were Kara, Toby, and Reena. Being the age that I was, I wasn't much of a writer at the time. I told myself that one day I would come back to it and left it the way it was, leaving only a short description of those three characters behind beside their names.

Two years later, I returned to the notes that I left. It was summer then, so I had time to write about a certain red haired little girl that couldn't keep her hands off of a particular spell book. The other characters emerged from there.

As you can see from the picture above, some of my characters have some symbolic meaning behind their names. The word sylvan has to do with forests generally, so it seemed fitting to give that name to a nature fairy.

Oren is a name that carries a meaning, too. It has to do with trees, which I think makes sense since this Gifted fairy is incredibly resilient. It also means fair or pale.

Foster was a name I came up with early on. I wanted a gentle sounding name for Kara's best friend and soon-to-be boyfriend. I got it from a video game. The certain one it was from I'd rather not say, but it did work for him since he was generally a very kind and friendly character.

Rowan, Sunny, and Shade are color related names, due to their hair. For Sunny, it's a nickname too because of how she acts. The two friends of Reena's will hopefully have more prominent roles in the next book. Sunny's real name will also be revealed soon.

In the meantime, I'll be updating my other books and might even post a prequel on here once I get around to it. Thanks again, everyone! Keep an eye out for the next book in the LOF series :)
