In the year 1667 Scotland King died and divide up his kingdom in four of his four sons. Mungo the eldest, he got the north of Scotland, Dunham the second eldest, he got the east, Bernard the third eldest, he got the west and the youngest at age 20 was Adair he got the south near the forbidden forest.

Each brother names their clan after their preferred weapon
Mungo names his clan brother after his mind
Dunham names his clan Dorloch after his bow and arrow
Bernard names his clan Lochaber after his double headed ax.
And Adair names his clan Claymore after his sword

The brothers made sure that no wars happen in their land or between lands between the people, however, they had no power over the creature that came from the Dark forest which was located in the middle of Scotland or the forbidden forest at the end of Scotland border no one but the King had been across the border but the myths and legend said whoever crosses the border will never be seen again.
