Roman looked at himself in the mirror. His platinum blonde hair freshly dyed. His hazelnut eyes were shimmering with his hope and joy for his soon to be engagement. He had on a golden suit and black dress pants. The suit is some white details but it didn't seem perfect. "It's almost there, but, this suit needs to seal the deal, make a grown man kneel, but it can't come right out and say groom."

He took another look through the rack of clothes he had been looking through for the past four hours, to find the same things there that he had already tried on.

"Can't look like I'm desperate," he pulled out another suit, "or like I'm waiting for it," he put the suit back. "I gotta leave Damian his pride, so groom is more implied." He sang.

"There he is!!!" Patton shouted, coming into the store with the Delta Nu house.

"Omigod, omigod you guys! All this week I've had butterflies! Every time he looks at me, it's totally proposal eyes! Omigod you guys!!" Roman sang to them. 

"Ro-" Patton started

"So help me dress for my fairytale! Can't wear something I bought on sale!" Roman sang again, ignoring Patton.

Patton quickly lost his smile, thinking back to him, he spiraled down quickly. He thought of all the ways he had gone wrong and how it wasn't truly... his... fault. He could have done better. He could have been there more. He could have been a better friend. He could have been a better boyf-

"Love is like forever this is no time to economize!!" Valerie shouted in Patton's ear, shaking him out of his thoughts

He remembered why they were here.

"People! Get to work! Search the store! Find the perfect engagement outfit! Roman we need to talk." Patton said. Roman sighed and followed Patton.

Patton walked Roman over to a little table set up in the corner of the store. They sat down and Patton's gaze stayed stuck to the table.

"What's up buddy?" Roman asked getting concerned.

"You have to promise me that no matter what happens with Damian, even if you move out of the country, you won't forget me." Patton looked up at Roman with tears in his eyes.

"Oh padre," Roman took his hands in his (in a platonic way ya nerds) Patton looked back down at the table as tears started to fall from his eyes. Roman saw where he went wrong in ignoring Patton. Patton had always been a little clingy ever since him, but he always put on a smile and was happy to see his "kiddos" happy. "Pat. Look at me,"

Patton looked up and the sight broke Romans heart. Patton's eyes were puffy and red, his glasses askew, and his eyes were full of unsend tears. "Patton, I won't forget you no matter how far I go. I know that you remember... him... but I am not like him. He was a duche and he had no right to do that to you. You did nothing wrong and I'm sorry I ignored you earlier. I don't know what I'd do without you. You will always have me here with you."

"I just don't want to lose another kiddo," he said slightly chuckling and blinking away his tears, "now enough about this, we have to get you ready for your big day!!" Patton was already more lively. Though Roman could tell he was still hurt.

(Fine I won't do any more angst this chapter. But you will end up finding out who /he/ is later)

"Blondes make commission so easy" Courtney, a saleswoman, said with a smirk, grabbing a suit and walking over to Roman and the Delta Nu house. She put on the fakest of smiles. "Excuse me, have you seen this? It just came in! It's perfect for a blonde."

"Riiiiight, with a half loop stitch on china silk?" Roman asked.

"Uh-huh."

"But the thing is, you can't use a half loop stitch on china silk, it'll pucker. And you didn't just get this in because I saw it in last May's Vogue." Roman fired back.

"Omigod, omigod you guys!" The Delta Nu house sang

"I'm not about to buy last years suit at this years price!" Roman said getting a sassy tone.

"Ro saw right through that salesgirls lies!"

"It may be perfect for a blonde, but I'm not that blonde. I may be in love but I'm not stupid lady, I've got eyes." Roman said with the Delta Nu house backing him up.

"Omigod! Ro Woods! Sorry our mistake!" The manager walked in, seeing Roman, one of the highest paying customers, getting angry and she needed to keep him coming back to their shop. "Courtney, take your break," she said, venom in her voice and in a low whisper. She turned back to the group, "just ignore her, she hasn't been well!" She pulled out a new looking white suit. It had red and gold accents on it. "Try this! Latest from Milan! Go on, try it on," she said, handing it to Roman who rushed into the dressing room with Patton at his heels to help him.

"Thank you so so so much!" Valerie said.

"I take care of my best client Roman!" The manager said back.

"He's going to be proposed to today!" Quill shouted.

"Well in that case, it's a gift from me to Roman!" The manager said.

Just then, Roman walked out in his outfit and he looked stunning.

"Omigod! Omigod you guys! This ones perfect!" He said admiring himself in the mirror. "And it's just my size!" He admired his figure in the suit. It showed off his slightly feminine curves. "See dreams really do come true! You never have to compromise!"

"Omigod! Omigod you guys! Let's go home before someone cries! If there was ever a perfect couple, this one qualifies! Cause we love you guys!" The Delta Nu house sang.

"No I love you guys!" Ro sang.

They all went back to the house so Roman could get ready for his big date. They were talking about all of the memories that they had together and Roman and Damians relationship thus far.

1035 words. I'm so excited for this! I'm listening to the legally blonde soundtrack and I'm so excited for "take it like a man" and "chip on my shoulder" and "so much better" and also all the interactions Virgil and Roman, Remy and Roman, and Patton and Roman will have together.
