Chapter 1
Atlas Hawaii Base, 3rd POV
In Honolulu, the Atlas base here was known for its medical and scientific research of the exotic wildlife. It's the foremost leader in curing known diseases and helping individuals with their Quirks, given that some Quirks require more sensitive training and conditioning. And right now, the base was on full alert, as the son of the CEO of was coming and needed to be checked over
Inko Midoriya-Irons was seen getting off a Warbird, already getting her doctor's coat on as she looked around. She was glad to see the base was running at full capacity, she was the head of the Medical and Research division of Atlas, mainly Medical given she always wanted to be a doctor. She went down and came to her office, where her assistant Kalea Hale
She was a beautiful girl in her early 20's, with dark sign akin to those of Hawaii, long black hair in braids and had beads in them, all Hawaiian in origins. She wore brown slacks, tight blue jeans and a beautiful multi colored shirt with floral designs on it. She was wearing her coat with a tablet in her hand, already going over the data Gideons team sent
"How we looking," Inko asked,"is my son okay?"
"Yes Mrs. Irons," Kalea said as she handed the tablet to her,"Gideon sent an update 2 minutes ago, stable and just a sore throat."
"Bastard, and the asshole who attacked my son?"
"Stored in two 2 liter soda bottles thanks to All Might, he managed to get there in time and saved your boy."
"Remind me to send thanks for that, anyway have a room prepped for Izuku."
"Already have, top floor VIP," Kalea said as they reached her office
"You're a lifesaver Kalea," Inko said as she sat in her chair,"notify me when their Warbird gets here, I want to be in that room when he gets here."
"Understood Mamabird, I'll get some of the equipment ready if it's needed. Anything else?"
"No thats it for now, thanks Kalea."
Kalea nodded as she walked off, Inko soon logged into her private terminal and then looked up the following information thats been uploaded. She saw that that in the days few days villain groups have been getting bolder and attacking openly, thus putting hospitals on maximum alert and some in short supply. She sighed as she should put in for some Humanitarian efforts for those areas
Then she looked in the Atlas database of the military section, who seemed to be on thin ice after the supposed illegal operation in Poland. Inko sighed as she couldn't believe the bullshit the Hero Public Safety Commission would spew out just to protect their interests. The HPSC was a major breach that was ran from Japan, they had representatives in more countries and basically controlled from the background
But it wasn't to help people, it was to profit from the destabilization of countries for Heros to swoop on, look flashy and sometimes take the villain out. And if there was anyone who threatened their little bubble they will lie, cheat and backstab anyone that tries to pop it. She sighed as she expected this, shes seen it to many times, and people like her son are caught in the crossfire
"Mrs. Irons," an Atlas guard said,"Zeus Warbird is making approach, also Mr. Irons is closing in as well."
"Understood, take him to the VIP room we ready for him," Inko said as she stood up,"and guide my husband there, I shall be there in a few minutes."
"Understood ma'am."
The guard left as Inko grabbed her tablet and went to the room, while looking over other cases and giving tips to help the other doctors. As soon as she reached the top floor, she sees Gideon and his team leading Izuku into the room, there she saw Tyler helping him get settled in. She walked up as Tyler came out, wearing the Atlas Exosuit and rubbed his neck
"How is he," Inko asked them
"Miss Irons," Gideon said, standing up straighter,"he's in good shape, few bruises and a sore throat, nothing life threatening."
"I'll be the judge of that, anyway wheres the villain?"
"Here ma'am," Tyler said
He dropped to one knee and opened his backpack, showing off 2 liter bottles filled with a sludge like substance. She was thinking it was just that slime kids would make at home until it moved on its own, then she saw the eyes. She leaned as she glared at the slime, which made it look away but she spoke some words to it
"Be glad you're not in my hands," she said,"cause if I did, I would make you understand pain...hmm I wonder how you survive if I mixed you in concrete?"
"As much as the idea is enticing sweetheart, lets not break any laws Geneva set or we be facing more fire," Johnathan Irons said as he walked up,"besides, I would like to see how he survive on the moon."
'I forget how terrifying they can be sometimes,' Gideon and Tyler thought together
"Very well, we'll handle him later," Inko said,"I'll check over Izuku, he takes top priority right now."
"Thank you sweety, I'll be there in a second," Johnathan said as he kissed her cheek,"I need to speak with my operators, need to handle some details."
"Fine but don't take too long, he needs you."
Inko walked into the room, as Johnathan sighed heavily and looked at his soldiers, who nodded as they walked off to drop off their prisoner in the cells below. After handling that, they came back to Johnathan, who was speaking with his contacts in the Japanese government. After he hanged up, he turned it the two as he crossed his arms
"Details now," Johnathan demanded them
"We were conducting overwatch like you ordered sir," Gideon said,"when Zeus went out of range for a few minutes, the drone picked up a heat signature and it was sludgeball there."
"How did you contain him? Conventual weapons wouldn't have affected him or cause any injury."
"It was All Might sure," Tyler spoke up,"when we loaded up on the Warbird and got to his location, All Might had taken the villain out and contained the villain. We settled the dispute of taking Zeus, so he won't report us to the Hero Public Safety Commission."
"Good, but how did a villain like him get away from All Might of all people?"
"I have answer for that," a voice said
They turned to see a kid with dark tanned skin, short black spiked hair with an undercut ,crimson eyes and a muscular build. He wore military boots, the standard Atlas military pants, a white long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a black vest with the Atlas logo on his left side. He was holding a tablet in and he had a look of annoyance
"Yo Aiden, whats up," Tyler said as they fist bumped,"what do you have?"
"I hacked into the cities CCTV cameras and turns out green cumstain there robbed a convenience store," Aiden reported, showing the footage,"and as you can see, the good people of Mustafa do absolutely nothing to stop him."
"No one," Gideon asked, watching the screen,"un-fucking-believable, they just stood there and did nothing?"
"Yep, the police didn't even respond or move to apprehend him, same goes for the shit stain Heros who didn't even bother with checking in on the incident. The only one who did jackshit was All Might, who was in the area when the villain busted out of the store."
"Seriously, they had every opportunity to stop him yet they didn't even try," Johnathan said, his face a mixture of rage and anger,"and because of them my own son almost died! Hmm okay okay, anything else?"
"Nothing much, only that they are doing jackshit for the Quirkless population in Japan," Aiden said as he showed them the reports,"so far 68 Quirkless people have reported in a few major crimes, and so far they have all been labeled 'Unsolved' or dropped in the trash bin."
"They haven't even tried to investigate them," Tyler asked, his voice carrying anger
"Nope, they don't even bother with proper protocol when filing the reports, they labeled a case where a girl was gangraped by some jackasses as 'Unimportant'. I looked into the girls life, she was Qurikless, abandoned by her parents and raised in a foster care system, which is massively overlooked. Someone from the same faster just commented on their social that she committed suicide."
Johnathan Irons face was a look of pure rage, as he paced with his knuckled becoming pale white. He cupped his chin as he thinks, and looked at Aiden, who kept a bland and collected face, then gestured to continue
"There have been other cases of Non-Japanese folk get harassed, robbed and some even sexually assaulted," Aiden continued,"and so far none of the reports have even been filed to the local or even the American government."
"So they're letting Americans get attacked in their own country and not doing shit," Tyler asked, his face in disbelief,"how come they haven't report to the government?"
"Cause any evidence they have is seized or destroyed by HPSC officials," Gideon said as he made the connection,"these fucking aresholes, they are willing to do anything to protect their interests and money."
"Yep," Aiden said,"so boss, what's the plan?"
"Right now I need to check in on my son," Johnathan said,"after this we'll deal with the HPSC. Have our Cybersecurity division start looking into the HPSC records and files, and then prep our PR, we need to cover this incident if it leaks."
"Understood sir, I'll get the PR department on it and I'll head to Cyber to get to work."
"Thank you, Gideon I want you to assemble teams to be ready for a trip to Japan."
"Japan sir," Gideon asked
"This country, or mainly its so called Heros, allowed my son and my others suffer just cause they don't fit their demographic. This needs to addressed, cause if no one will then they will let corruption spread. Tyler, can you tell me why Atlas was made?"
"Because of the story of the Titan Atlas," Tyler said,"to bear the weight of the world, to hold up the sky when no one else can...if no one else in Japan is willing up hold the principles of Heroism, then Atlas will to protect the innocent."
"Sometimes I forget your a know it all," Gideon said as he punched Tyler shoulder
"At least I read unlike you Brit."
"Hehehe okay, head out," Johnathan said,"though Tyler, be back to show Izuku around, if I know him he'll want to move around and help out. So keep him busy until then."
"Understood sir," Tyler said as he walked off
Johnathan sighed as he strengthened his suit, then walked off to the medical room. The sterile coldness of the Atlas base was left behind in this space, replaced with warmth and comfort. Izuku sat on the edge of his bed, absently playing with the hem of his shirt, while his mother gently packed away her medical supplies into a sleek black case.
Inko's soft smile hid the worry behind her eyes as she turned to her son. She rubbed his cheek as he smiled at her, always happy to see his mother even after a villain attack that almost killed him.
"Well, everything looks good," Inko said as she sat across from him on a rolling chair,"no bruising, no internal injuries, minus the soreness which can be helped in a few hours. You're tougher than you look sweety."
"Thanks Mom," Izuku said with a smile,"I guess all those drills Dad put me through really helped."
From the doorframe, Johnathan watched his family with a small but warm smile, thankful for them each and every day. He soon walked in with his usual commanding presence, but his expression softened the moment he saw them, he couldn't help but smile. He moved to Inko's side and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder before turning his attention to Izuku.
"How's our little soldier holding up," he asked her
Izuku gave a small chuckle as he calmly looked at Johnathan, trying to look as confident as his father, which made his parents chuckle.
"I'm all good dad, nothing major is broken," he said
Johnathan knelt down to Izuku's level, his gaze filled with pride and warmth. Johnathan may be the cold, stoic and quiet man when he does business with other companies or people, but with his family, he felt like he could be just himself. Not another business man who saw them as nothing more then tools like other CEOs did, he loved his family
"That's good to hear," Johnathan said,"you were brave today, Gideon and Tyler told me you gave that bastard a fight, I'm proud of son."
Izuku's cheeks flushed, and he looked down shyly. Inko chuckled, brushing a few strands of hair from Izuku's forehead.
"He takes after you, Johnathan," Inko said as she lightly tapped his chest,"always getting into some form of trouble."
Johnathan smiled at Inko, a rare moment of tenderness crossing his usually stern features.
"And he gets his resilience from you," he said,"you're the reason we're a family."
Inko's eyes shimmered with emotion, and she leaned into Johnathan's touch. The moment was peaceful, the three of them savoring the feeling of normalcy. After a brief pause, Johnathan's expression grew more serious. He straightened up, giving Izuku a small pat on the shoulder like he always did.
"I need to handle some official business now," Johnathan said,"there are things that need addressing, things that can't wait."
"We understand," Inko said,"just... don't overwork yourself, okay?"
"I'll be back before you know it," Johnathan said as he smiled, then placed a kiss on her forehead,"you take care of your mother while I'm gone, alright?"
"You know I will dad, I got it," Izuku said as they fist bumped
Johnathan gave them one last look, committing the warmth of his family to memory before stepping out the door. As it closed behind him, the hum of the Atlas base grew louder, a stark reminder of the battles he had to fight, not just for his family, but for justice and to protect people like them. Izuku sighed as he wished he stayed longer, he missed his dad
Inko, seeing his face, reached and wrapped an arm around Izuku, pulling him close for a hug. She knew Izuku wanted to spend more time with his dad, he wanted to be close so he can learn to be like him one day.
"Don't worry, sweetie," Inko said,"your dad always comes back."
"I know Mom," Izuku said as he sighed,"I just...I just want to know who he is, why he does this and maybe one day know how to help him when he needs me the most."
"Don't worry dear, when he needs you, he will call on you."
"I hope so."
Soon they heard a knock on the wall, making them turn to see Tyler leaning against the wall, a smile on his face.
"Am I interrupting," Tyler asked
"Not at all Tyler," Inko said as she stood up with her clipboard,"he has a clean bill of health, all he needs is some fluids and rest."
"Understood ma'am, anyway Zuku, want to take a tour of the facility? It may not be the one at home, but it's still top notch."
"Mom," Izuku asked her
"Sure, just be safe and no strenuous exercise or activities. Also Tyler, Isaac is back, make sure he takes his pain meds and drinks some fluids, he's still recovering from the surgery from the last mission."
"Got is Ma'am! Though doubt it'll work given how much a stubborn asshole he is."
Inko bonked Tyler with her clipboard, making him wince as he just chuckled as Izuku chuckled from the scene. Soon the two were walking around the base, with Tyler giving Izuku some pointers at certain areas, with Izuku making a mental note to know where things are. Soon they make it to the main corridor, with Tyler looking at Izuku
"Alright Zuku, time to show you where the magic happens," Tyler said with some dramatic flair,"welcome to Atlas Base."
They entered a large observation deck overlooking the Research and Development Wing. Behind reinforced glass, scientists in white lab coats worked on advanced weapon prototypes and tactical gear. Holographic displays illuminated their stations, showing blueprints and live data of ongoing or developing tests. It also showed the Exo-suits the operators used
"This is R&D, the brainiacs here are the ones who keep us one step ahead of the rest of the world," Tyler said,"new tech, new weapons, armor upgrades—you name it, they're working on it."
Izuku's eyes lit up as he spotted a robotic exosuit being tested. It showed a man using the legs to jump 10 feet up high, then another deploying a shit to block a barrage of bullets fired from a sentry gun and lastly a woman punched a cinder block with just her hands. The scientists were all recoding the data, making certain adjustments to ensure the user isn't wounded
"Whoa, this is amazing," Izuku said with a smile,"so I take it they were the ones who made your new arm?"
"Yep, the doctors here are the top in the world," Tyler said,"they hey embedded neural interfaces that sync directly with my nervous system. It's connected to my brain, so it moves and reacts just like a real arm. Sometimes, I forget it's not flesh and bone, but the few times it short circuits reminds me."
He led Izuku down another hallway into the Training Arena, a massive, open space filled with various combat simulations and obstacle courses. Operators in Atlas gear sparred, practiced marksmanship, and ran drills. They had a firing range with holographic targets, a grenade range with drones and dummies and to the side it said "Simulation Dome"
"This is where we sharpen our skills," Tyler said,"cause it doesn't matter how good the tech is, if you can't handle yourself out there, it's useless."
As they walked, Tyler stopped by a firing range where Aiden, he was taking apart a drone with a data pad in hand. His fingers moved quickly, recalibrating the system before it rebooted, it was flying around and the controller system had a virus. Izuku looked close, seeing he dissembled it with such careful ease he thought he was trying to break down a bomb
Izuku was gonna crap a small part, when Aiden suddenly smacked his hand away, making Izuku back up a bit
"Don't touch my shit," he said with no care to who Izuku was
"Izuku this is lovable asshole is Aiden Wolfe, our cyber and tech expert," Tyler said as he smacked Aiden upside the head,"if it's got wires, Aiden can hack it, fix it, or blow it up."
Aiden barely looked up, his voice a mix of sarcasm and focus.
"Huh, so you're the bosses kid huh," Aiden said,"well do me a favor and don't break anything, last thing I need to fix someone's fuck up."
"I won't, but you seem real cheerful," Izuku said with mock sarcasm
"Did you hear kid, I'm the life of the party."
Tyler smirked and moved on, guiding Izuku to a nearby sparring area. A tall, muscular man with short dark hair and a tactical vest was punching the shit outta of a robotic dummy, he was throwing blows at the dummy like it insulted his sister. The boy growled as he threw a high kick to the robots head, making it break clean off and fly into a wall
The boy panted as he turned to the pair, but when the right side of the boys face was revealed, Izuku almost threw up from the mere sight, the left side of the boys was a different story, his flesh was stripped away, revealing jagged contours of bone and sinew beneath. His eyes were crimson red, matching his deadly and brooding face, as he stared at the two
"Izuku meet Isaac Blackstone," Tyler said,"when things get messy, he makes sure we walk out in one piece."
"...This the boss kid," Issac asked, making Izuku think he was speaking death
"Yep, got him in a few hours ago, got attacked by a villain. Also here, Miss Inko told me to give you these, and drink water with it."
"Got it, anyway I need to head to the doc, my leg needs some recalibrations. See ya kid, nice to meet ya
Izuku nodded, feeling a mixture of fear and intimidation, as Issac walked off to R&D. Izuku lets out a breath he didn't know he was holding in his chest, then looked at Tyler, who pulled him by his collar with. Tyler then led him to a nearby supply station where a man with short black spiked hair was organizing medical kits and support drones.
He was tanned, with blue eyes and had tribal tattoos all over his face, and even on his chest. He wore the same uniform the rest of the Atlas soldiers wore, but he had a necklace with beads with marks on it, making Izuku think he was a spiritual person.
"And this is Eli Thompson," Tyler said,"he is our main supporter in a fight, his Quirk allows him to summon spirit-based constructs, perform elemental attacks, and even heal wounds through ancient spiritual rituals."
"Oh so your like a shaman," Izuku asked
"Hahah yep, infact thats my callsign when in the field," Eli said as they shook hands,"its a pleasure to meet you Izuku, Tyler told me a lot about you, I hope we get to know each other more."
"Wow...you're way nicer than the other two."
"Hahaha yeah sorry about them, Aiden is anti—social and has trouble getting use to new people, but don't worry. He'll get use to you, he may be an asshole, but he gets more likeable as time goes on. As for Issac...just give him time and space, once you've earned his respect, he will fight like hell for you."
"Okay then," Izuku said with a smile
"Alright man, we're going to the mess hall for some food," Tyler said as he grabbed Izukus heads and dragged him
"Later guys, also Izuku, watch out for this idiot," Eli said with a smile
The two get in the elevator, with Tyler tapping in the level they want to go. They stood there as Tyler sighed and stretched his back out, snapping some bones as he looked at Izuku
"So," Tyler asked
"It's awesome, I never knew dad had a place like this advanced," Izuku said,"I like the R&D, maybe once I get through High School, I might join up!"
"Well when you do, I'll help you with whatever you got. But for now, focus on the present, and right now...I can go for some fries."
"Oohh same!"
The two chuckled as they soon walked to the mess hall, not knowing that the future will hold many challenges for not only Atlas, but for the Midoriya-Irons family.
