|Chapter 3| What?

Okay there'll be two updates today because this chapter is very short haha

Hazel eyes looked up to the plain ceiling as the sun was just rising.

It was a beautiful sunset, really. Pinks and oranges and reds. Absolutely stunning, if Levy could say anything about it.

Beside her was her black haired husband, Gajeel. Who had his back to her and eyes closed towards the small window, which showed the sun coming up.

The bluenette turned to him and silently and slowly shook his shoulder, "Gajeel, we have to wake up the other two."

Remembering what he said to his son the day before, he said, "why can't they sleep in?"

"Because I need to talk to them, I can't keep following Nashi around forever," Levy said while standing up, walking towards their small dresser on her side of the bed.

Gajeel suddenly shot up, the blankets falling down to his waist, from there up he had no clothing, "Levy, I don't think she's ready."

"Well I think she is," Levy pulled over one of her very few shirts over her head, "lets go tell her before you have to go to work."

Gajeel rolled his eyes at the last word, his work was nothing more than a blacksmith. And the people around here were too broke to pay for one, the only real money he got out of it was really just travellers and knights that came through.

After groaning, he got up and clothed himself.

"Nashi!" Levy yelled, turning into Nashi and Gale's bedroom. "There's something that-" she froze.

"What is it?" Gajeel grumbled before stumbling into the room himself. He paused. Levy was almost sure that he was going to break the door frame, he was gripping it so tightly.

Levy hurried to their small closet in front of Gale's bed, and searched for the bags she made for them years ago.

Both their beds were a mess, they hadn't bothered to make them. The bags from their tiny closet had gone missing, and so did they.

Levy shook her head at the scene. Tears had immediately started falling down her cheeks, "Gajeel... She's..." She backed away from the closet and into her husband.

Gajeel looked down at Levy as his eyes widened in realization, "the crown," he muttered.

He immediately turned around and ran back to their bedroom, looking in the third drawer for the bag with the tiara. It had gone missing too.

Gajeel looked back at Levy with this terror visible in his eyes.

Levy sobbed even more, "they're both gone Gajeel..."

That was when Gajeel went up to Levy and embraced her. He tucked her head in his chest, and he crouched to put his nose in her blue hair, "it's going to be okay. He'll protect her."

"But what if he can't protect himself, Gajeel?" Levy cried, "Nashi may be the princess, but Gale is still our son... No," she shook her head, "they're both..." She turned into Gajeel's chest, clutching onto his shirt, "I love them both." She almost felt bad for even thinking that Nashi wasn't one of her own.

She loved Nashi as much as she loved Gale, it didn't matter that she wasn't biologically their daughter.

Gajeel swallowed before giving the best answer he could give, "you're right. Gale is our son, and Nashi is our daughter. They'll survive, like we did."

Levy couldn't bring herself to say what she was thinking.

And we were the only ones.
