TWENTY NINE
TWENTY NINE
The British Grand Prix was amazing and the race hadn't even started yet.
A sky sports interviewer, Ted, immediately ran and that means, literally sprinted, over to the two Toro Rosso drivers as soon as they arrived together on the morning of the race, with a microphone in his hand.
"Toro Rosso! Wait for me I've got small legs!" Ted yelled as he attempted to catch up to the two drivers who had decided to go for lovely spontaneous jog.
Larissa turned to him, jogging backwards as she smiled, shouting over to him and the cameraman who was also running. "Come on, mate! You've got this!"
Ted smiled as he noticed her teasing smile and knew instantly why they had started jogging without exchanging any words with each other.
"I'm not old! I'm just out of practise!" Ted shouted as he tried to catch up to them, knowing that his cameraman was capturing all of the footage.
"Let's get you in practise!" Pierre smirked as he shouted with the team mates sharing a look of amusement.
"What are you looking forward to for this race?" Ted was forced to yell as he ran to make sure that he got his interview.
"Winning!" Larissa winked at the camera as she jogged backwards.
"Watching her win!" Pierre smiled, ruffling his team mates hair, causing her to stop running and push him in his chest.
"Not the hair!" Larissa faked a glare at her team mate, whose hand shot to his chest as he released a fake gasp.
"I am offended!" Pierre smirked.
"And I am tired!" Ted breathed heavily as he stopped beside the two now bickering drivers.
"Need some water?" Larissa crouched down in front of him, her water bottle that was in her hand extended out to him.
"Let's just have the interview on the ground." Ted smiled softly at Pierre's suggestion, as the four of them slowly sat on to the ground.
"So Larissa, are you feeling any pressure starting from pole after what happened the last time that you were on pole and didn't finish?" Ted asked the Brazilian with intrigue.
"Obviously there's pressure every race to do well as we need points, but yeah, there's some pressure from starting on pole but I know that I will push the car to its limits to get the best result that I can." Larissa answered cooly.
Ted laughed as the Brazilian snatched the cap off her team mates head and placed it on her own to block out the sun from her eyes.
Ted was secretly overjoyed when it had been announced that Larissa Cohen was joining Formula One, since he had been a fan of her father and always used to interview the late Brazilian driver whenever he spotted him in the paddock.
Luiz used to always wave at him as soon as he saw him, and even if he was being interviewed by other people, he would always politely excuse himself so that he could be interviewed by Ted.
"Do you think that your dad is watching over you from above?" Ted smiled softly at the girl as she noticed a pained look on the man's face.
Larissa gulped thickly, as tears threatened to leak from her eyes. Her hands subtly began to shake, something which the camera picked up on instantly.
Pierre attempted to reach over to grab her hand to comfort her but she began to wring her hands together before her teasing smirk returned to her face.
"Nope, but I reckon that he's looking up at me from below." Larissa hid her pain with humor, hearing the three people around her chuckle at her joke.
Ted beamed as another driver approached the duo of Toro Rosso from behind, with them wrapping their arms around the Brazilian and pulling her to her feet.
"No no no no no!" Larissa squealed as she was thrown over a man's shoulder before he ran off.
"Oh, looks like I'm- BYE TED!" Larissa waved at the retreating figure of the interviewer as the group of Ted, Pierre and the cameraman waved back at her with beaming smiles on their lips.
The man who ran away with her began to giggle like a little girl as he ran in to his garage with her still over his shoulder. He placed her on top of a table allowing her to sit down and pulled a piece of clothing up to her face.
"You officially have one of our shirts, so you're now technically allowed in here." Larissa rolled her eyes as she pushed the shirt down from in front of her face.
"I'm not allowed in Haas, Kevin." She shook her head with a small smile. "Gunther may like me but I'm still a rival, no shirt is changing that."
Kevin Magnussen frowned like a kicked puppy, before he gasped with childlike excitement, turning the shirt around so that she was now seeing the back of it.
"I got your name printed on it!"
Larissa shook her head with a smile once more as she stood back on her feet after clambering off the table, pressing a soft kiss to the Danish man's cheek before stepping away from him.
But not before she snatched the shirt from his grasp with a smirk.
"I'll see you at your hotel room for shots later, have a good race, Kmag."
"You have to wear the shirt!"
"Only if you wear a skirt!"
"Not going to happen!"
"Then I'm not wearing the shirt!"

"Kid, you're on pole so do not mess this up for us."
"How about you suck my dick?" Larissa spoke just as she entered the car.
"Excuse me?" Franz stared at the woman in surprise.
"Suck. My. Dick." Larissa stared up at her team principal.
"It's not just your pole position, it's mine too, you know? Since I'm the one actually driving the stupid car. I'll race how I race and if it goes wrong and it's my fault, then fine I'll accept responsibility but if it goes wrong and it's your fault, run for your fucking life."
She soon started her warm up laps and formation lap before they got in to their positions on the starting grid, with the Brazilian in first and her brother, Lewis Hamilton in second, joining her on the front row.
She could see Lewis giving her a thumbs up from inside his car, so she stuck her hand out of the side of her own, giving the four time world Champion the middle finger.
And she just knew that he would be laughing.
She was the first one to react as the race started, shooting forward as she was the first to get to turn one.
She clenched her jaw as Lewis was soon beside her, trying to overtake her at his home race.
"Not today." Larissa spoke through gritted teeth as she swerved, very nearly colliding with him.
"That's dangerous driving, be careful."
"I'll be the judge of what dangerous driving is."
Larissa bit out, hearing a scoff through the radio as her radio engineer became offended at her tone.
"FIA are investigating."
"Tell them to fuck off."
"No."
"Pussy."
Larissa repeated the move of swerving multiple times, blocking the Hamilton man from getting the lead from her.
She didn't care if he was her brother. She didn't care if it was his home race. Her father's first ever formula one win, was at the British Grand Prix.
After twelve laps on soft tyres, she was ordered to pit and much to her horror, as she arrived in the pit lane, she found her team unprepared.
She was left for eight whole seconds waiting before she was given a fresh set of tyres, which had meant that she knew that she was not winning the race.
As soon as her new tyres were on, she yelled at her mechanics before leaving.
"Seus malditos bastardos estúpidos!"
As she exited the pit lane, she was placed just behind the Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo, meaning that she was now sitting in 9th place.
"I'm gonna wring your fucking neck, Franz! Seus malditos bastardo estúpidos!"
Larissa's fuming voice sounded through the radio as the man in question flinched from the anger filled within her.
"Ah shit." Franz swore as his face drained of color at the anger and hate that sounded through her voice.
Larissa slammed her hand against the steering wheel before she attempted to overtake Daniel but found him blocking her way.
"Bitch." Larissa swore as she attempted once more to get past him.
She tried everything.
She tried taking inside lines, outside lines, and everything else that she could think of.
She had even tried her father's double bluff move, but he was still able to defend.
Something that not many drivers, and only the most skilled ones were able to do.
"Fuck it." Larissa cursed.
She decided to stay directly behind him, with literally just inches between the rear of his car and the front of hers.
Every time he swerved to defend from her, she swerved with him, copying his moves and making sure that she was directly behind him, pushing him to make a mistake.
And a mistake, he made.
She sped past him as she undercut him as he had presumed that she was taking the outside line since in the multiple laps that he had defended from her, she had done the same thing every single time and he could only yell as she got past him, before he smiled upon noticing her hand.
The middle finger.
"Rookie." Larissa smirked as she was now in front of the Red Bull before she sped away as she noticed the Sauber of Charles Leclerc approaching the Australian from behind meaning that he would have to defend once more.
She had managed to do actually quite well considering her mess of a pit stop, passing quite a few drivers, and slowly working her way back up the grid to fourth place.
The only drivers in front of her, were her uncles Sebastian and Kimi and her brother, Lewis Hamilton.
"I'm just a lioness hunting down her prey." Larissa whispered to herself as she neared the British driver sitting in third place.
She had less than 3 laps left before her brother got a podium at his home race and she was refusing to allow him that serotonin.
Even if she had to crash in to him, he was not getting a podium.
It wouldn't be a severe crash, of course, maybe just clip his car and making him spin just to put him out of contention.
But it turned out that she didn't even need to.
Because the four time world Champion Lewis Hamilton fell for her father's double bluff, less than a hundred metres from the finish line.
"FUCK YOU ALEXANDER HAMILTON! P3 BABY YES! I DID IT DAD!"
Larissa screamed so hard down the radio that she nearly burst the eardrum of her radio engineer.
Zahra screamed in happiness for her best friend from her place inside the Mercedes garage, not caring about the stern look that she was recieving from the team principal, though he couldn't hide his smile for long.
He was very happy for the young girl.
"I got a podium, I got a podium." Larissa sang as she exited her car, running in to her uncle Sebastian's open arms.
"Not quite a win here, but I think it's pretty close. Your father's so proud of you, Kiddo. I'm the proudest uncle in the world." Sebastian smiled as he hugged his beloved niece, letting her laugh in excitement.
"Bwoah, bullshit. That is me." Kimi tutted as he physically pulled the two drivers apart so that he could hug the Brazilian.
"Congratulations on a 1-2 by the way." Larissa smirked at her two uncles. "Sebby superiority."
"I take it back, it is not me." Kimi shook his head with a smile knowing that his niece was teasing him because Sebastian had won the race.
Arms suddenly wrapped around her waist as she released a squeal.
"Steal my home race podium, and you get tickled." Lewis Hamilton began to tickle his sister, hearing her squeals as she attempted to get away from him.
She ended up running to other drivers as Lewis chased her down, having recruited both Sebastian and Kimi to assist him in tickling her.
"Chilli Pepper!" Larissa squealed as she ran in to the chest of Carlos Sainz, who could not stop smiling at her.
"Congratulations on your podium, Riss." Carlos kissed her cheek, causing his own cheeks to blush.
"Thank you, now protect me please and I'll publicly admit that you're my favorite Spanish person ever and face the wrath of my uncle Nando." Larissa breathed out desperately as the three men approached her with teasing smiles.
Her back was flat against the chest of Carlos as his arms tightened around her torso, his muscles clenching and bulging as he did.
He blushed even more as her arms subconsciously squeezed at the biceps that were wrapped around her.
"Larissa, you have no escape here." Lewis smirked at his little sister who was hiding in a man's arms.
"And you have no podium." The Brazilian stuck her tongue out at the British man.
"I have four world titles."
"My dad has five."
"At least my dad's alive."
"At least I have friends."
"At least I don't need to start on pole to do well."
"At least I can beat a four time world Champion."
"At least I'm at a good team."
"At least your team principal loves me."
"Alright, alright!" Sebastian separated the two bickering drivers, their eyebrows raised and eyes squinting at each other challengingly.
"Break it up, children! Break it up! Play time is over!" Kimi shook his head as both ferrari drivers stepped in between the two.
"Play time is over, but the boxing fight might just begin." Carlos responded, making the group chuckle.
Larissa's head rested against his chest as she laughed, a beaming smile plastered on to her face, with her eyes sparkling as the Spanish man stared down at her, a warm fuzzy feeling erupting inside his chest at her beauty and her smile.
He wanted to always make her smile like that. She looked like the most beautiful thing in the world.
And he knew that he would do anything to make her smile like that again.

"My podium is better than yours."
Larissa Cohen teased her uncles as they stood on top of their podiums. They stared down at her on the third place podium and shook their heads with a smile before Kimi's face drained of color as a thought ran through his head.
He was also on the podium when her father won his first race at the British Grand Prix.
"Kid, you're in third." Sebastian laughed brightly.
"And? Doesn't matter which position that I am in, it's me. That immediately makes it better because I'm so obviously amazing." Larissa smirked teasingly at her uncles as they were handed their bottles of champagne.
"On the count of three, we scream..." Kimi thought for a moment before an idea came in to his mind.
"Luiz Cohen lives on forever."
The three of them shook their champagne bottles as they counted, getting ready to spray each other and the crowd below.
"One, two, three..."
"LUIZ COHEN LIVES ON FOREVER!"
