"Hey sleepy head."
Larissa groaned as she awoke from her slumber, hearing an all too familiar voice from at the side of her hospital bed. She pushed her hand in to the person's face, a satisfying feeling in her chest as she heard the muffled groans of discomfort of her company.
"I'm trying to sleep, go away." Larissa groaned, turning on to her stomach so she could pull a pillow over her head.
"I've come all this way, just to see you and you treat me like a peasant, how dare you." The words sounded muffled, but she still didn't hesitate to flip her company off, giving them the middle finger.
"És um cabrão." The Brazilian snarked, earning a chuckle.
"I think you are forgetting that I learnt Portuguese, Rego Do Cu."
Larissa shot up from her hospital bed to shoot them a fake glare. "Don't you call me an ass crack, Seu cu de burro."
"Ha. Ha. Ha. You're sooo funny." Larissa was given an eye roll. "Now come on, give your favorite person in the whole wide world a hug."
Larissa furrowed her eyebrows together in confusion, glancing around her hospital room. "I don't see Gina around here anywhere, so I'll have to wait until I see her."
"Jeansbügler." Mick Schumacher stuck his tongue out at his best friend, practically sister, to annoy her, seeing her roll her dark brown eyes at him.
"Teletubbyzurückwinker." Larissa teased the older boy, squeezing his cheeks, causing him to slap her hands away. "HEY! you're not allowed to hurt me, I'm in a hospital bed!"
Mick scoffed, shaking his head at her. "Yeah, because you are unable to turn your steering wheel to the right because you're stupid! Besides, who's gonna stop me, huh?"
"I'll tell Uncle Seb that you're bullying a dying person!"
"You're not dying."
"I might be!"
"The only way you're dying is from falling down the stairs from how big and fat your head is!" Mick argued, the pair teasing each other back and forth in their languages, just like how they used to as children.
The door behind them clicked open just as Larissa was about to attempt to smother the young Schumacher boy to death with her pillow.
"Arsch mit ohren!" The new arrival yelled upon entry of the hospital room, completely ignoring the attempted murder scene before them.
"Ginny! My favorite person in the whole wide world!" Larissa couldn't help but smile, sticking her tongue out at the younger Schumacher who returned the gesture without missing a beat.
"You worried me, you idiot!" Gina Schumacher ruffled the hair of the youngest in the room, hearing her groans of annoyance as she attempted the smack the Germans hands away. "What happened!"
"She didn't realise that she needed to turn the steering wheel to avoid the wall." Mick spoke, his voice filled with sarcasm.
"At least I didn't try to drive with only three wheels!"
Mick gasped. "That was only because your stupid team had stolen my other wheel!"
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
"Did not!"
"Lord, I offer myself as a sacrifice to Imhotep, get me away from these idiots." Gina closed her eyes as she turned her head upwards the face the ceiling.
"Yeah, take her so I'm an only child." Mick grinned, having heard his sisters words.
"An only child and still the least favorite." Larissa laughed at the huff leaving the boys lips as she teased him.
"I'm more popular than you!"
"I mean, that's obvious. My mom treats her hair stylist like a daughter and me a stranger, but that's not the point!" Larissa raised her voice as both siblings gave her sad looks. "I'm Sebby's favorite!"
"Now that is true." Gina laughed, wrinkles forming around her eyes.
"No its not! Seb loves me more than you!" Mick began to argue, but he knew it was true.
Sebastian Vettel really did love Larissa the most. Call it being a protective uncle, but they knew he would drop everything to help her.
He had delayed his wedding, just for her. The day before his wedding, she had called him in the middle of the night, needing him and he didn't hesitate to let his fiancee know. Hanna didn't mind once she discovered that the girl that had become a daughter to her, was needing help, and delayed the wedding, until next year. She knew that she was second best to the Cohen girl, but she didn't mind it, because, well, it was Larissa.
"Does your mom even know you crashed?" Gina uttered, changing the subject.
Larissa shook her head to signal that she had not told her mother. "No, I doubt she would care anyway. She would just say that I would need to quit racing, again."
"Surely she deserves to know though?" Mick frowned as he noticed the Brazilian's clenched jaw and flared nostrils.
"I'll tell her when she tells me why she cheated on my father when he gave her everything that she ever wanted." Larissa glared at the ground as the room became silent.
"She did what?" Mick abruptly stood up from his seat beside her.
"She cheated on papa, and I doubt that she only did it once." Larissa explained.
"She does realise that her husband was our favorite uncle, right?" Gina clenched her fists in anger. "I'll slap that stupid bitch so hard in her face, she'll think he's still alive."
"Mom will help with that, I'm sure." Mick admitted with a scowl.
Gina and Mick were disgusted.
Their Uncle Luiz was one of the reasons that they had such a good and happy childhood. He and their father had spent 3 whole weeks, (excluding races) building them a play house for their birthdays.
Luiz had ensured that they had a swimming pool in their play house, he had bought Gina her first horse, a go-kart for Mick. He would treat his niece and nephew as if they were his own children. He would never get angry with them, or raise his voice around them. He used to take them on holiday all around Brazil, he would drive them in his car around the tracks at all different Grand Prix races.
They had seen the wedding of Luiz and Sara. Gina had been the flower girl as a young Larissa had been bridesmaid. Mick had been the ring bearer, even though he had originally wanted to be the flower boy.
They had seen the pure look of love and adoration on their Uncle's face as he spotted Sara walking down the aisle, with their father being the one to walk her down the aisle. He had loved that woman, and to know that she had been cheating on him, was just wrong.
How could anyone cheat on a man as kind hearted as Luiz?
"Join the queue. She's my mother, but I want answers and as soon as I'm discharged, she's going to give me them."

"I have been assigned to drive you from the hospital, so please just be honest with me."
Larissa held back a laugh as she was helped in to the passenger seat of a car, to find a pillow on the seat to make her more comfortable. As soon as she was sat in the car, she was aided with her seat belt, and had a blanket carefully placed over her legs to keep her warm.
"What have I got to be honest with you about?"
"Who is the best Australian in the world?"
Daniel Ricciardo tried to keep a serious look up on his face, but as soon as she turned to face him with raised eyebrows, he cracked. A smile burst on to his face, a loud laugh exiting his throat.
"Hmm, Liam Hemsworth." Larissa faked thought, seeing the Australian's head shoot towards her with a look of exasperation. "Eyes on the road, Danny boy. I've already been in one crash, I don't need to be another."
"Awww." Daniel cooed. "I'd never crash, at least not with you in the car."
"And why is that?" Larissa asked, seeing a small ghost of a smile on his lips.
"Your dad was my idol, I always wanted him to get 7 world titles, now, I'm hoping that for you." Daniel admitted, slowing the car down as he approached a red light.
"Wow, talk about no pressure." Larissa rolled her eyes at the man beside her. "Congrats on the win by the way, I heard it was low-key, but the more you win, the less Lewis has a chance of winning, which means the more I have a chance of replacing him and getting a world championship title."
"Thank you, Lara." Daniel smiled at her. "Kimi got third but left for the hospital, so we just stood still, because we didn't know if you were alive or not."
"Not morbid at all." Larissa held back a chuckle, glancing down as she smiled. "Wanna celebrate with a movie and beer? Consider it the podium ceremony that you missed out on."
Daniel couldn't help but think just how nice the girl next to him actually was. She had nearly died in a crash, and yet she wanted him to have his celebration for winning, even though he didn't care about that. He just cared that she was okay.
Daniel took a hold of her hand, lacing their fingers together as he tenderly kissed her knuckles. "I'm picking the movie, no arguments."
"Fine." Larissa huffed in defeat. "But if you get wasted, I wasn't involved."
Daniel laughed as he pulled the car in to an empty parking space next to the hotel that the drivers were in.
"Deal."

"Kiddo, do you know who that man is?"
Kimi Raikonnen questioned as he pointed at a man walking towards them.
"Alexander Hamilton!" Larissa squeaked, her dark hair tied in to pigtails, courtesy of her uncle Nando.
"Almost there, my name is Lewis." The man that had been walking towards her, crouched in front of the young girl, seeing her glare slightly at him.
"You're a loser! My Uncle's are better than you! My papa is better than you!" Larissa stuck her tongue out at the man, who smiled brightly at the little girl.
"I think that's a little unfair, you're biased!" Lewis gasped, a warm feeling in his heart as she shook her head, arms folded across her chest.
"Vão se fode!" Larissa scowled.
"Kiddo, that's a bad word, you can't say that." Kimi hated to tell her off, but as his job as Uncle and godfather, he had to.
"Papa says it all the time, so, vão se fode!" Larissa huffed, not caring about her uncles warning.
Lewis looked incredibly confused. "What does it mean?" He asked the eight year old's uncle.
"It means-" Kimi was rudely interrupted by a very high pitched voice.
"It means, FUCK YOU!" Larissa stuck her tongue out at him again, giggling as he returned the gesture.
"You're funnier than Montoya, he didn't like it when I stuck my tongue out at him." Larissa smiled at the man, holding her hand out for him to shake.
Lewis smiled as he shook the small girls hand, seeing her Uncle Kimi roll his eyes from where he stood beside her.
"That's because you called him a pussy." Kimi shook his head, trying to hold back a laugh.
"He's Colombian! Brazilian's are better! I said it in Spanish, so it wasn't that bad!" Larissa whined, unbothered by the fact she always got told off for saying bad words.
"And Massa? Webber?"
Lewis Hamilton's eyes widened as he realised that the young eight year old girl in front of him didn't like many drivers.
"Dickface was not an insult! It's just how Webber looked!" Larissa raised her hands in the air, waving them around to show her frustration.
"You're not wrong." Lewis coughed out, trying to hide his words, but failed. They had both heard him.
"Not helping. We're trying to not teach her bad words, she's eight years old." Kimi shook his head once again.
"I like you now! At least someone agreed with me!"
Lewis couldn't help but adore the girl, the second she barrelled in to him to hug him.
He had a little sister now.

"Never in my life, did I think that THE Daniel Ricciardo would want to watch a chick flick."
Daniel beamed as she teased him, her head resting on a pillow laying in his lap as his thumb was rubbing circles on her arm.
"They're my go to movies, haters gonna hate."
"Tay Tay fan, are we?" Larissa's eyes watched him carefully as he leant backwards, his head resting on the back of the sofa as he laughed.
"I'm just gonna shake that comment off." Daniel smirked down at her, hearing her groan.
"That, was awful. I thought you were meant to be funny." Larissa shook her head, trying to conceal her laughter.
A knock on Daniel's hotel door made the Brazilian groan, having to struggle to sit up without pain shooting through her body. The Ricciardo man immediately helped her, standing up to answer the door and allowing her to settle herself down comfortably.
"Hey, mate. Come in, I'm just chilling with Lara."
Larissa turned her head to see the Dutch team mate of the Australian entering the hotel room with a pizza box in his hand.
"I brought bbq chicken pizza and garlic bread if you're hungry, there should be enough for the three of us." Max Verstappen nodded his head in acknowledgement of the girl, glad to know that she was alive and out of hospital.
"I-"
Daniel shook his head. "Nope, you're staying with us Lara, it will take two of us to hold Max down so that we can watch Mean Girls."
Max immediately furrowed his eyebrows together. "What? No! No, no, no. Not happening!"
"I'll tell the whole grid that you-"
Max slapped his hand over his team mates mouth before the words could leave his lips, which immediately caused the Australian to laugh.
Larissa winced as she rose to her feet, walking slowly over to the two Red Bull men. They both noticed that she was still weak on her feet and watched her cautiously.
It was a good job that they did, because her legs started to wobble and give out, making a startled Dutch man drop the pizza box to the ground to catch her before she could fall.
Young Max would have been screaming right now with their proximity, their faces inches apart as he practically lifted the girl up so that he could place her back on the sofa.
Then again, adult Max was internally doing the same thing, trying to stop himself from blushing. He heard his team mate picking up the dropped boxes from behind him, which thankfully for him distracted him just enough that he almost forgot how close he was to the Cohen girl who's legs were aching so bad from just a few steps.
However, Larissa did seem to notice that he seemed to have a single bead of sweat dripping down his forehead. He was gulping heavily every few seconds, and constantly licking his lips as if they were as dry as the Sahara Desert.
One look shared between herself and Daniel made it all click in to place for her.
But, she wouldn't say it out loud, since she would never expose someone like that, she would let them say it themselves.
Max Verstappen had a crush on her.
