Inferno was beginning to get desperate. It had been 3 days since she had seen Hurricane or Tsunami. Inferno had gone back to check the cave 3 nights ago, and Tsunami had obviously been there and had taken most of her possessions out of the cave. Since then, Inferno hadn't seen a hint of the pair. She had checked the caverns, and had finally resorted to tracking down the mer named Tetra. Tetra's family hadn't seen her for 3 days, she was gone. Inferno had been to Hurricane's house, the last they had seen him he had been going somewhere with Tsunami. 

   She had then begun a thorough search of the area around Tsunami's cave. What she found had horrified her. Black scorch marks ran along the stone, and scratches that looked like they had been made by fingernails ran deep into the stone. A mer had obviously been dragged away from this spot. Inferno knew how to track, so she followed the clues. It led her off the drop off and into open water. About 10 leagues into the open sea, Inferno saw light. The light was coming from a trench about 50 feet below. She swam toward the light, and came upon a massive fortress. She could see that it had been abandoned for sometime. The light was from a small fire, and Inferno could see mer gathered around it. Slave traders!
