When Inferno woke, the cave was empty. She swam out into the main cavern and searched for Tsunami and the others. The cavern was actually quite beautiful, sunlight filtering down through the holes in the ceiling. Soft green algae grew on the ocean floor, carpeting the boulders and making the cavern look like it was teeming with life. Shoals of fish swam though the bright green algae, and young mer were playing in the sand. 

  Inferno caught sight of Tsunami and Riptide swimming at the edge of the cavern, they seemed to be in deep conversation. Tetra was playing in the sand with some of the young mer, and Hurricane was leaning against a boulder, staring up at the ceiling. 

 Riptide and Tsunami seemed to be arguing, Tsunami kept running one hand through her hair. Riptide seemed angry, and then relieved. God, these mer's emotions could turn on a scallop shell. 

 "Hey Inferno! What do you think of the cavern?", Tetra called.

 "It's nice, what's Tsunami doing?"

 Tetra shook the sand off her scales and swam over to Inferno. "You don't know?"

 "I've been asleep."

  "Hurricane and Tsunami are getting married at moon-high tonight. Riptide and his wife SeaStar are in charge of planning. It's why Hurricane is staring at the ceiling and having an existential crisis."

 "Tsunami's not nervous?"

"Oh she is, she just doesn't show it as much as Hurricane. Plus she had her existential crisis when Hurricane proposed."

 "Sound's like Tsunami."

As Tetra swam back to continue being a one mer support group to Hurricane. Inferno's mind was flooded with emotions. As a friend to Tsunami and Hurricane, she was happy for them, but now that she knew for sure that Tsunami was her mother, she felt a little weirded out. But the prophecy from Stone hung over her head like a storm, one of them was going to die on the night of the lunar eclipse.
