Inferno woke with a pounding head-ache. She turned her head ever so slightly and could see Tsunami, Tetra, and Hurricane laying beside her. There was a cut running just to the side of Tsunami's left eye, probably from where the mer had bashed her in the head to knock her out. Tetra and Hurricane were slowly regaining consciousness, but Tsunami remained motionless. The doors opened with a loud bang and five mer with black masks swam in. Behind them was a mermaid with a dark purple tail, she was wearing pearls in her hair, and her tail was studded with diamonds. Following her was a tall merman with a brown tail, it reminded Inferno of mud. He was wearing a vest that was covered with knives. Some were small, thin blades, others were larger and some had jagged edges.  

   The mermaid with the purple tail signaled to the mer guards, and they seized Inferno by her hair and dragged her over to the wall. There a heavy metal collar locked around her neck, it was made of iron and was bolted to the stone wall. The guards proceeded to chain up Tetra and Hurricane as well. But when they grabbed Tsunami, the purple tailed mermaid spoke. "No. Not her, bring her to me. I have some questions for the little orca." Grabbing her wrists, the guards began to drag Tsunami out of the stone chamber. Her black tail dragging over the stones, leaving some black scales and blood behind.

    "No! You leave her be! Leave her alone! Please!" Hurricane threw himself toward the guards, but they were just out of his reach, and the chain around his neck pulled him back. 

   One guard remained, he walked over to Hurricane and slapped him. "The Lady Anemone has someone question for your friend, and don't worry; You'll get her back. In pieces. If she doesn't give the queen the answers she's looking for, you're next."

     Inferno could hear screaming echoing throughout the dungeon. Hurricane was attempting to pull the iron chain out of the wall. "Give up!" Inferno snapped, "That's never going to work."

  "I can't just give up. They've got Tsunami." Hurricane's hands were bleeding, his blood clouding the water.

    Hours later, The mer with the the brown tail dragged Tsunami back in. Her eye was swollen, and her lip was bleeding. Deep cuts ran down her arms and above the top of her shirt. Her tail was bloody, and it looked like someone had been prying scales off with a knife. Her wrists were shackled, and the iron cuffs had rubbed the skin off. Hurricane let out a shout of rage when he saw the state his fiance' was in. 

   "Now, Now. Let's not get so upset. We must keep our wits about us, after all this little mer did something to bother me. It would be best for you if you avoided making the same mistake." Anemone said, entering the room. She was holding a small bottle and a thin silver dagger. Her robes were a soft pink color. The brown tailed mer, whose name was Musky had blood all over his hands. It was Tsunami's blood. Musky may have been the one torturing her mother, but Inferno could tell that Anemone was the one who was truly evil. 

    "Alright everyone. Listen up. And listen carefully. You see this little bottle, I can use the contents to cause your friend here a lot of pain." Anemone's voice was harsh and full of malice. She unscrewed the cap and dipped her silver dagger into the bottle, a dark blue liquid dripped down the blade. "This is sea krait venom, from the most poisonous snake in the sea. It's deadly, even the tiniest drop can cause death. But before it kills you, you will be in so much pain that you will beg for death before it comes. Do you know what happens before you die? It's my favorite part. You will start having trouble breathing, and then you will slowly drown in your own blood. But before that, your insides will feel like they're on fire." 

   Musky grabbed Tsunami's right wrist, and held it up. He twisted her other arm behind her, immobilizing her. Musky twisted her wrist so that the inside of her forearm was bent toward Anemone. The purple tailed mer took the silver dagger out of the bottle, and dragged the blade down Tsunami's arm. The orca mermaid let out a scream of pain and struggled against Musky's hold.

   "No! Let her go! Get off her!", Hurricane yelled, pulling on the chain, trying to reach Tsunami. 

      But Anemone didn't stop, she dipped the silver dagger into the bottle, and then allowed drops of poison to drip from it into the open wound on Tsunami's arm. The venom started to burn her skin as soon as it touched her. She screamed again, her voice sounded raw. Anemone pushed Tsunami toward Hurricane. Tsunami fell forward and Hurricane caught her, and wrapped his arms around her frail body, as though he could keep her safe just by holding her close. 

   "She's got about 3 hours until that poison kills her. So clear the seaweed out of your heads and think. I'm looking for an underwater temple, inside is a black pearl. The orca mer knew where the temple was, but she didn't tell me. This is your chance to save her life, I've got the anti-venom." Anemone held up a bottle with a light blue liquid inside. "Tell me where the temple is and I'll give it to you. I'll be back in 2 hours, so I suggest you start thinking." Anemone swam out, and let the cell door slam behind her.
