Spin Off Satu : The Next Headclan

Surprise!

I feel like writing about Masaki-kun here. Just imagine Yabe Masaki from Dish// as Uchiha Masaki. Really love his ice melting smile.
FYI this has been in my draft for the past2 years lol.

Spin Off Satu

It had been years since Sai grew Masaki up. To Sai's delight, Masaki was really Fumiko's duplicate. Well, except his eyes. He had pale lavender eyes just like his father did. Even though it left bitter taste on Sai's tounge, he could not help but to love Masaki deeply.

"We're being summoned." Sai opened the conversation of the day while they were having breakfast.

The fifteen years old looked up at his father figure before nodding his head. "I assume it would be the Hokage or the main branch."

"Ha'i." Sai nodded his head. "Uchiha Itachi had finally summoned you to be introduced to the family."

"After all these years?" Masaki raised his eyebrow.

"It was in Fumiko-sama's will." Sai looked at him sharply. "She wanted you to be away from Konoha if it's still as corrupted as it was back then. But things changed, and Konoha has become better. That's why Itachi-san decides it is time for you to come home."

Masaki watched Sai silently. Even though Sai was the one who raised him, most of the time, Masaki could not read his father figure at all. Giving up, Masaki sighed and relaxed his shoulder.

"Sure, when will we be going?"

"After breakfast."

And now, here they were. Standing in front of the massive gate of Konoha-gakure. Sai was talking to one of the gate keeper before leading them inside. The town was quite crowded and modern. Too noisy for Masaki's liking.

"Uff--" A blonde haired boy crashed himself to Masaki, who stood still like a rock, leaving the poor blonde to fall off his arse. "Watch where you're going you--"

The blonde boy lost his voice as he caught Masaki's cold demeanor.

"Boruto!"

Two other brats came over and look suspiciously at Masaki since they never saw him before. They went rigit and put on stance, ready to attack if something were about to happen.

"Masaki-sama?" Other brats came over, yet one ponytailed brat was familiar to the teen.

"Inojin." Masaki nodded his head in recognition.

The said Inojin hurriedly kneeled befere Masaki and put his head on the ground to greet the teenager. All the other kids widened their eyes, could not believe that the jerk Inojin would bow down like that to a stranger.

"I-Inojin? Are you alright?" The blonde boy named Boruto asked.

"Shut up, baka Boruto." Inojin glared at his friend. "Apologize to Masaki-sama right now!"

"Whaa--"

"Do you know him, Inojin?" A spiky ponytailed raven haired boy asked.

"Em." Inojin stood beside Masaki who towered him. "This is Uchiha Masaki-sama. The son of  the late Uchiha Fumiko-sama and Hyuga Neji-sama."

In their classes, the kid had learned about the history of the great wars. The most famous war in their opinion was the war between Uchiha Madara and Uchiha Fumiko who then lost her life protecting not only the village, but also the world. Growing up, Uchiha Fumiko was then became their superhero. Yet they did not know that Uchiha Fumiko had a baby in such young age.

"There's no record of--"

"But he looks exactly like aunt Fumiko from the pictures that we have in the main branch." A girl voiced with a timid voice.

Her raven beads clashed with Masaki's cold ones. "Sai,"

Behind the male Uchiha, appeared the older version of Inojin. "Ha'i, Masaki-sama?"

"Sai ojisan?!" The kids yelped.

"Tousan..." Inojin mumbled as he lowered his head.

Sai did not bother to look at his son, his focus solely was on Masaki as it had always been. "Who's she?"

"Uchiha Sarada, the daughter of Uchiha--"

"Here you are, cousin!" Two identical teenagers suddenly flickered beside Masaki. One of them with a wide grin while the other with his normal stoic face.

Ironically, the three of them looked identical if it were not because of their eyes.

"Haruma, Hiroto." Masaki's eyes softened as he saw his cousins.

The first time Masaki saw the twins, he hated them. They were fortunate enough to feel his parents' love and attention, which he was craving for all these time. Yet, with Itachi forcing them to train together, they created a bond stronger than their parents.

"We overheard that you're gonna come, so we decided to guide you around ourselves!"

"Hiroto means he decided we're picking you up." Grumbled Haruma, shaking his head.

Masaki nodded, "Let's go meet your father then."

Just as fast as they arrived, the triple Uchiha body flickered away, leaving the genins to blink their eyes in confusion. Sai was still standing there, giving his son a judging look.

"Inojin, stop wasting your time and start practicing immediately." He said.

The said boy looked down in shame. He should have not followed Boruto fooling around. The boy fisted his trembling hands. If he wanted to impress his father, he should have known better. Sai went away immediately without sparing the genins another look.

Going back to Masaki, the boy now dressed formally in dark colored high quality kimono with Uchiha symbol on his back. He sat on his knees with his hands on the front and deeply bowed toward his uncle. The twins were sitting several steps behind him, also bowing to their father.

"It is good to see that you are well, uncle." Masaki mumbled as he raised his head.

Itachi nodded, giving a soft smile toward his nephew. "You've all grown up."

"Indeed he is, isn't he?" A pink haired woman sat on the corner of the room, beside her was a young boy with her exact replica. "He looks exactly like Fumiko-san that it's so uncanny."

Masaki casted them a glance, but said nothing.

Itachi hummed, "This is Uchiha Sakura and Taka. Sasuke's wife and son. There's also Sarada, Sasuke's first born."

Both Sakura and Taka bowed their heads, remembering their place within the rank inthe clan. Masaki nodded his head in recognition before looking back at his uncle.

"Why do you summon me, uncle? Usually, you'd only send the twins to me instead."

"The Hokage and I had a talk." Itachi explained seriously. "As the future headclan, it is decided for you to come back home and start your training soon. You are to be expected to socialize with other clans too."

"..." Masaki did not answer. He looked at his uncle for quite some time to dipcher his intention. What was Itachi actually thinking?

"But why, Father?" Hiroto finally asked, tilting his head. Besides him, Haruma sighed, knowing well how much Hiroto held back his questions.

Itachi casted a glance at his son, then directly looking back at Masaki.

"I believe this is the right time for Masaki-kun to start learning for his succession. It is his right to be the head of the Uchiha clan."

"But I am the first born!" Hiroto complained. "And your son, nontheles!"

"Hiroto." Warned Haruma.

"This is not fair!" Hiroto stood up, and without looking back, he stormed out.

The tension was thick. Itachi could see not only confusion on the  young Uchiha's faces, but also hurt and betrayal.

"I think we need to discuss it further, Uncle, with only you, the twins, and I." Masaki decided, signaling that he did not want outsiders in the main branch's affair.

Itachi sighed, though he nodded his head. "Your uncle, Sasuke, will be here shortly after his long journey. We can discuss it together later."

Both Masaki and Haruma took a deep bow, then they walked out of the room. "It's Headclan's decision. We better respect it."

Masaki gave a sharp look at his cousin. "I thought you will definitely support your twin to be the headclan."

Haruma shrugged. "Mam--Fumiko baa-san was forced to be a Headclan, that's true. However, it was her decision to make father her successor as the Headclan once she's gone. And now it's father's decision to choose whoever deserved to be the Headclan. I think it is logical."

"My mother said to make either you or Hiroto the headclan." Masaki reminded him bitterly.

"Again, but the headclan now is my father. Besides, I don't want to be a Headclan. Being with the both of you for the rest of my life is enough." Haruma poked Masaki's forehead. "Go take a stroll somewhere to chill your head. I'm going to console my stupid brother."

"Hn." Masaki grumbled. He watched Haruma walked away before body flicking away.

There was only one place near Konoha that Masaki would always come to whenever he needed console. It was deep inside the forest, the massive land owned by the Uchiha. Lots of debris surrounding the area, since it was Uchiha's hideout and had been destroyed by both of his uncles when they fought. However, there was one clean square with two headstones in the middle of the land.

"Tadaima, mama." Masaki whispered, gently wiped down his mother's tombstone with his long fingers. He sat on his knees between his parents' grave.

The young Uchiha closed his eyes as he put both of his hands on either sides of his parents' grave. He felt how the wind blew slowly, the friction between leaves as it was blown by the wind, the birds chirping, and how the greenery melt. Automatically, his rigid body went relaxed. It was his way of coping his loneliness, with his parents by his side, he felt alive though the loneliness was eating him alive.

A sudden clashed between a big sword and his kunai was filling the silent forest. Slowly opening his eyes, his back was still on his enemy, Masaki asked. "Who are you?"

"I'm the one who's supposed to ask you that. Who are you?" A rough voice answered.

The boy finally faced his opponent, with his sharingan full on display.

"Where did you steal those sharingan?" The man asked, snarling at him.

"What do you mean? These are mine."

"Liar!" The white haired man attacked him, which Masaki easily dodged. Sadly though, it left a big scar on both his parents' grave.

"What are you doing?!" Masaki awoken his Susanoo as he fought the white haired man.

"Enough." An authoritive voice stopped the both of them immediately with an unknown force.

"Who are you?" The man wore all black clothes, including a veil covering his face behind his hat.

"Who am I?" Masaki was furious. "Who are you guys? You've destroyed my parents' graves!"

"Your parents, huh?" The misterious man mumbled, looking at the destroyed graves. "Suigetsu, explain."

"This boy is suspicious!" The whitehaired man whined, "We don't want another edo tensei to arise, especially not Fumiko-san's! Who knows what this creepy that looks exactly like Fumiko-san gonna do to her!"

A woman with redhair, Masaki now noticed, was standing not too far away from the misterious man. She sighed dramatically. "This is why I don't want to deal with stupid people like you."

"Hey!" Suigetsu protested.

"Have it not occured for once in your tiny brain," The woman continues, while pointing at Masaki. "That he might be Fumiko-san's daughter?"

"...." Suigetsu narrowed his eyes toward Masaki. "Well, if you put it that way..."

The redhaired woman sighed. "Suigetsu, apologize to Masaki-sama."

"Wha--"

"How do you know me?" Masaki went back defensive.

"You look exactly like your mother." The misterious man answered easily. He took off his veiled hat, leaving his face exposed.

A visible rinnegan was full on display.

Masaki immediately took several steps back. He snarled. "Uchiha Sasuke."

To be continued.
