Titans Forever Pt. 2
You dodged another hit from Cassie. You returned the punch but she blocked it before throwing a round house kick which failed to land. She threw a second punch but you managed to catch it and use her momentum to toss her aside which caused her to fall to the ground.
Simulation: Defeated.
You smiled at the automated voice and walked over to Cassie. You offered a hand to help her up which she took. The lights died down and the area opened to reveal Star walking towards the both of you. You looked over to Cassie and smiled.

Star: Very good. I see the progress already.
You wiped the sweat off your brow and grinned. It has been a month since you joined the Titans and you have to say, you enjoyed it. The mission were whatever, nothing to write home about, but the fact that you had people your age around was a breath of fresh air. Every other day you would have a video call with Bruce and report on your progress and would almost always end up talking to the others. Tim and Jason were always down to talk about anything while Stephanie would give you updates, spilling the tea as she called it, about what was going on around the manor while Cassandra would sit next to her in silence.
When you weren't off on missions you were training in the morning and hanging around the tower in the afternoon. Star had this unique style of teaching where she would let you all teach each other based on things you may have seen that she didn't. Eyes on every side in a sense. You had fallen into a simple routine and actually enjoyed your time in the tower.
You would find yourself playing video games with Bart and Garfield, reading with Raven and Lilith, or watching some movies with Cassie and Virgil. You even found yourself exploring San Francisco with Star on a few occasions. Missions were mostly stopping the Hive from robbing some bank or some drug rings. Simple stuff that was just simple routine. You had made bonds with the other teens and respected Star as both a warrior and teacher. You could see why Dick had fallen for her.
You were also lucky enough to be one of the older teens. Star was the oldest at 26, Cassie was 18, Lilith, You, and Raven were 17, Garfield and Virgil were 16, and Bart is 15. It was almost like having younger siblings. Something you never had growing up as an only child.
Cassie: I though I would've gotten you on that kick.
You shrugged.
Y/N: I honestly just got lucky. You're still using too much power in your hits. I was able to throw you because of it. You should focus on your balance.
She took the advice to heart and the two of you followed Star to the others who were sitting on the benches in their gear.

Garfiled: How many times now does that make it?

Bart: 23 wins and 2 losses.

Raven: At least we're starting to understand his style. It's almost amazing that he can fight while thinking as fast as he does.

Lilith: Are you in his head again?
Raven nodded. While you weren't the most comfortable with two people in the same tower being able to read your mind, you gave her permission in order to monitor your thoughts and emotions during fights. If you were too invested or frustrated in a fight against someone like Mammoth, you would back off when she said and switch out with someone else. Your mind was your biggest weakness after all.
Lilith had explained it as you getting into your own head sometimes. Memories of your past creeping up when you began to doubt yourself. Sometimes you would sit in the garden with her after a mission and she would talk to you about things on your mind. You couldn't even lie to her forcing you to be open which was a choice you made in order to force yourself to confront these fears. She was truly a good, friend.

Virgil: Yeah, still can't beat him though. The only times he lost were all flukes. Lilith won because he got distracted when Star called out to him and Bart got him after he tripped.
Star: Yet he managed to come back and learn from his mistakes. We can all learn something from him.
Y/N: And on that note, I still have a lot to learn from all of you. You guys each have your own style of fighting and with your powers you all have more combinations on what you can do.
You never wanted to talk down to them or say anything to discourage them. Watching them this whole time you learned they were just like you. Trying to prove themselves and become stronger to protect what they love. You never wanted to do anything but help them get there.
Raven: We appreciate that very much Y/N. Thank you.
Bart: Yeah man. It's hard sometimes but if we all have each other's backs we can get there, together.
Everyone smiled and you felt proud of the people around you. You already knew what they would become and you couldn't wait to see them become the best them they can be.
Star: That's music to my ears. Training is over for today. Same time as always tomorrow. Good work everyone.
Everyone stood up and began to head to their rooms to change while talking while you began to think about visiting the manor on the weekend. It had been a while. It almost made you home sick. You suddenly felt a gentle hand on your shoulder. Star gave you a soft smile.
Star: Is everything ok Y/N? You seem the sad.
You nodded.
Y/N: I'm all good Star. Just thinking about stuff.
You looked behind her and saw Lilith looking at you. You could tell what she was thinking even though half her face was covered. Her eyes were her biggest tell.
Y/N: I'm going to go change and relax a bit.
Star nodded and allowed you to leave. After changing you found yourself in the garden. The silence was nice and gave you time to think. This had became your favorite spot in the last month. A little place where not many of the Titans came to. It was quiet and smelled fresh.
Lilith: Hey.
You opened your eyes and looked before you. You smiled as tour eyes met hers.
Y/N: Hey.
She took a seat next to you and the two of your sat in silence. This had became a nice change of pace for you. Being able to simply enjoy someone's company without having to say too much. It made you even more homesick when your mind went back to Cassandra.
Lilith: What's on your mind?
You let out a quiet laugh.
Y/N: I think you already know.
She turned towards you.
Lilith: I do but you know the rules.
You turned to her. You and her had made a small list of rules. You never talked about anything you wouldn't say out loud.
Y/N: I just, miss home I guess. This is the longest I've been away from the manor.
Lilith placed a hand on yours.
Lilith: That's not what you miss though, is it?
You sighed. It was true. You missed the people. Your family.
Y/N: I miss everyone. Dick, Jason, Tim, Stephenie, everyone. They became my family. I never thought I would say that again when I was sent back to the past.
Lilith: But you miss someone even more, don't you?
You nodded. You did miss one very important person. You ended up shaking your head. You didn't want to talk about it. Lilith silently agreed and the two of you returned to silence. Suddenly she turned towards you. You looked up to see her blushing crazily as she took a deep breath.
Lilith: Can I ask you something?
You were very confused. You just shrugged giving the ok. She seemed to hesitate as she looked down playing with her hair.
Lilith: What would you say if, if i, asked you on a date?
You stared at her for a moment before the question processed in your head. You began to blush slightly as well.
Y/N: I, uh, good question. I mean, if you were to ask me on a date I guess I would say, y-yes?
The two of you looked at each other with red faces. She wanted to say something but she just couldn't find the words. You were just nervously waiting for something to happen. Finally you had enough. Time to be a man.
Y/N: Do, you want to go on a date? With me?
Her eyes grew wide. She just nodded slowly.
Lilith: I would, like that.
You smiled. She smiled. Bart smiled. Wait, Bart? BART?!
Bart: Aw. So cute!
The two of you shot up from the bench and finally noticed everyone standing there looking at the two of you.
Virgil: About time.
Raven: Maybe now I won't get so many headaches with their emotions going crazy.
Garfield: Called it!
Star: This is truly a spectacular day.
Cassie: Good for you guys.
You could swear you heard something, bitter in her voice. You turned to her but she was just looking at her feet.
Lilith: Did you guys need something?
Star: We were just looking for Y/N. He had a call coming in but Bart got all of us to watch the two of you declare your love for each other.
Y/N/Lilith: LOVE?!
The guys all surrounded you and began to congratulate you while Raven and Star talked to Lilith. You smiled a bit out of awkwardness before looking up to Cassie. She was avoiding your stare as she walked back into the tower.
Something told you this was going to be a problem.
