You flew over the rooftops as you used your visor to scan the area below. You looked up to see several colorful blurs zip around. You turned you attention back to the streets below before spotting something very peculiar. A small flash of lightning that would be missed to anyone who wasn't paying attention. You decided to investigate and landed on the roof. You checked around before seeing a skylight and walked to it. You peeked in and saw something that immediately caused you to freeze in fear.

Black Adam. What was he doing here? Wasn't he supposed to have been banished by this time? And why was he...moving so weird.

???: Dang it! I can't get the arms right.

You looked over to see someone else in the room.

In his hands he held a controller of shorts but it seemed to be made of some kind of energy. He grunted in frustration before throwing away the controller which dissipated before it hit anything. You watched as Black Adam also vanished. Magic?

???: Dang it dang it dang it! How many times have I done this now? Why can't I get it right?

You zoomed in and noticed the cat on the boy's shoulder. It looked off to you. Before you could investigate, the cat looked directly towards you. It mowed and the boy snapped his head to look at you.

???: An intruder. At least we can have some fun!

The boy threw a BALL OF FIRE AT YOU?! What the hell?! You moved out of the way and rolled onto the roof as the glass shattered and the place you once were was destroyed. You finally landed and looked up to see the boy levitate through the hole.

???: A Bat? Must be my lucky day. I needed to blow off some steam!

The boy launched another fireball which you dodged by flying up. As you flew you noticed a presence next to you. You looked down to see the boy flying towards you with no effort.

???: Stop running Bat Brat! Fight me like the real Batman!

Ok! That done it! You stopped midair and deliver a spinning kick to the little punk's nose sending him hurling back to the building below. Will it hurt? Yep. Will he die?

Ah crap.

You dive for him and reach out to grab him but the boy grabs your wrist. His eyes are now completely red and he seemed to have grown fangs. Is this guy actually a devil?

???: No you've really pissed me off! I'll teach you to mess with Klarion!

The boy, Klarion you guessed, clenched his fist which fire erupted from and slammed it into your face. You went falling down with no hope of recovering.

Y/N: Shhhhhhiiiiiiiiitttttt!!!!!!

???: Got You!

You felt yourself get caught midair and you opened you eyes to see something truly marvelous.

Y/N: CAPTAIN MARVEL!!!

Captain set you down on the roof as yet another Marvel joined you.

Y/N: O-oh. Hi Ms. Marvel.

Mary waved at you with a cute wink before you shook yourself back to your senses. You took a fighting stance.

Captain: Isn't this that Witch Boy? He's the one causing the surges?

Y/N: I don't know what he was doing exactly but he made a copy of Black Adam. Not a perfect one but I can not guess what he'll use one for.

Mary: Oh gosh! We have to stop him!

Captain: You're right. Oh geezer. It would be bad if something like that was terrorizing the streets of my city!

You looked at the two adoptive siblings in awe.

Y/N: The amazing thing is, they don't grow out of it.

The Witch Boy, Haha, flew right towards Mary and knocked her away before she quickly recovered and began to trade blows midair.

Y/N: This guy seems strong. I wonder why I've never heard of him before.

Captain: He's usually the Team's problem. At the very least he's not doing anything worth the Leauge's time.

Y/N: Regardless. If something like this is going on then it would've been in a book or the files. There's nothing here.

Captain: Maybe because you're here?

Y/N: What do you mean?

Mary continued to fight the Witch Boy while Capatin pulled you aside and the two of you sat down cross legged.

Captain: Now, I'm not an expert on time travel. That's more of Flash's or Booster's thing. I do have a theory though.

Y/N: Well don't leave me in suspense.

Captain: Well, you're not supposed to be here. You never heard of yourself have you?

You thought about it.

Y/N: No. You have a point.

Captain: Exactly. Maybe you being here is messing with the timeline. Has anything else happened that could alter the past?

You thought about it before a thought crossed your mind.

Y/N: I put Black Mask away. Because I did that...

Captain: What?

You shook it off.

Y/N: It's nothing. Things have happened to change the future. A few things actually. Two villians from my time showed up here. Dee Dee.

Captain: Dee Dee? Who's the other one?

Y/N: No they're just called Dee Dee.

Captain: What's their names though?

You scratched your head then shrugged.

Captain: Fine. Whatever. Are they the only ones who came back with you?

Y/N: Technically they didn't come back with me. They came back a week before me. Booster came back with me but now we're kinda stuck here.

Captain: Alright. Anyone else?

You wondered if you should tell him about Melanie before Mary crashed right behind you snapping the two of you into action.

Witch Boy: Alright! One Marvel down. Who's next?

Both you and Captain Marvel prepared for a fight before you saw a line of shadows over head. You looked up and smiled.

Captain: Oh! You're so in for it now mister!

Witch Boy simply growled and began his attack on the family. As you took cover behind the nearby wall, the Marvels were already at work. You peeked over to see the Witch Boy multiply into 7 copies. You groaned and headed into to battle.

Y/N: Does this kid have any weaknesses?! What's his source of power?

Doctor: I have no idea! Magic like his is unreal!

Jr.: Dude, we have magic to.

Doctor: Oh yeah.

A bolt of lightning flashed across the sky and took down one of the copies. Doctor flew into the copy and slammed him into the floor below. You flew up and confronted another copy only to be attacked by another. You were now facing two different Witch Boys.

Y/N: You can do this. He's just some phony magician.

Witch Boy: Phony? Phony?! I'll show you phony!

The clones formed one large fire ball and launched it at you. You didn't have time to evade the attack and instead found yourself slamming into the roof below. You were in a bit of a daze as you watch the Marvels fight. They worked so well. They truly are a family. You wondered what that must be like as you slowly found your eyes closing.

???: You already have a family.

You opened your eyes to find darkness around. You turned and saw everyone from the Manor. Bruce, Dick, Jason, Tim, Damien, Cassandra, Stephanie, Barbara, Kate, Jaun, Alfred, even Booster. Everyone was there.

???: This is your family.

Y/N: No. They're just helping me and Booster until we can get back to the future.

???: You are wrong. They are truly your family. Now, and then.

The image shifted to show the older Bruce, your Bruce. Your Grayson, your Damien. Booster stayed the same but there was now a new figure. Melanie.

???: They took you in, showed you kindness. Gave you a family. You just refuse to see it.

The images dissapeared and you were left alone in the darkness.

Y/N: Why are you showing me this. Who are you?

???: Why do you lie to yourself? Why do you not trust others?

Y/N: When you were born into this world like I was, by the people I called my parents, you tend to not trust easily.

???: Yet you still choose not to trust. You hide many things. Your lineage, your relationships, your emotions. All of these can lead to your end.

Y/N: And what am I supposed to do? Sit down with Bruce and spill my guts over tea and make up? Screw that. I've handled this before.

???: Maybe you just need to see what true family means.

The darkness faded enough for you to see the Marvels fighting. You watched as they worked together, fought together. You watched as Jr took a hit for Mister. You watched as Captain kept a clone away from Mary. They protected each other. They had each other's backs. The darkness returned.

???: They love each other. Just as your family loves you.

Y/N: Who are you?

???: Someone who wishes to help.

The darkness was now gone and you stood back on the rooftop.

???: You'll meet me when the time is right.

You were once again left alone. You turned back to the clones and continued your fight. It was still two against one but as one tried to attack you from the side, you were assisted by a bright light.

???: Hope I didn't miss too much.

Y/N: Nice to see you Stargirl. Thanks for the help.

You began to lay a beatdown on the clone before it suddenly vanished. You turned around and watched as the clones all morphed back into one being. Witch Boy glared at the heroes who surrounded him and snared.

Witch Boy: This isn't over yet!

A portal appeared behind him and the cat returned. The boy jumped into the portal which closed behind him.

Y/N: Day saved?

You watched Captain walk over to Star girl.

Captain: SHAZAM!

A bolt of lightning came down and transformed the hero back into a boy. Billy then planted a kiss on the girl's head.

Billy: Thanks for showing up. I thought you had to head out for a mission.

Stargirl: I did. This was it apparently. The Team had been tracking down Witch Boy for a while. I might have got him if you guys didn't show up.

Everyone seemed awkward now.

Jr: Sorry.

Stargirl just giggled.

Stargirl: Don't worry guys. You stopped his plans for the time being. At least we have time to come up with a plan.

Billy smiled.

Billy: Well I say this calls for celebratory pizza. Who's in?

The kids all lifted their hands. You gave in and so did Stargirl.
