Gotham city. A city littered with crime and corruption. At least, that's the way it was before the Batman appeared. He protected the city and waged a one man war against crime. He was one of many heroes in the world. Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman, Shazam, and so many more.

Together they formed the Justice League and...why am I telling you this? What's the point? You know all of this already. This isn't even a story about them. This is a story about you.

Y/N al Ghoul. The Batman. Well, of 2050. Trained by Bruce Wayne himself along with the last two members of the batfamily. Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne. You protect Gotham now. You fight crime, you save the city, and you have saved the world. On many occasions.

You've fought alongside Flash, Green Arrow, and The Justice League.

You've also had some near death experiences but it comes with the job. Come on man.

Through the many hardships and struggles you have emerged victorious. You were Gotham's protector and a teenager at that. School, dating, crime fighting. That was your life. At least School and Crime Fighting seeing how you are now single.

Y/N: What do you mean you can't do this anymore?!

Maria: I mean you've been so distant and I feel like you're hiding something from me.

Y/N: I'm not hiding anything!

Maria: What are you doing right now?

Currently you were standing on a skyscraper wearing your suit.

Y/N: Working.

Maria: Funny cause I just stopped by Mac's and they said you quit. A YEAR AGO!

Y/N: I got a new job. Mr. Wayne hired me as a assistant.

Maria: Sure he did. You know what? Don't call me. We're over.

With that she hung up. You threw your arms around frustrated before a new voice rung in your ears.

Bruce: Tough luck kid.

Y/N: Yeah. Thanks for the help boss.

Bruce: I'm sorry you just broke up with your girlfriend but we have much more important matters to attend to.

You looked across the way at the adjacent building. A large L on top.

Bruce: We need to find out what Luther is doing in there. The power surges in the area are getting worse.

Y/N: Who's to say that he isn't just trying to build a generator or something?

Bruce: Funny. Time to move in.

Always a man of comedy Bruce was. Did you hear the sarcasm? You release the wings built into the suit and activate your boots. You fly off over the large buildings and flying cars. The future is an amazing place though to you, this was your life. The holographic billboards, the techno music, the crazy fashion, and the amazing technology. This was your life and you wouldn't have it any other way.

Bruce: There's an entrance two clicks to your left.

Y/N: I see it.

You turn your way toward the vent space and kicked it. As you slid in you activated the light on your visor. You climbed through the vents while Bruce told you where to go.

Y/N: You know, one day you won't be here to help. I don't know what I'll do when that day comes.

Bruce: My eye in the sky left me to. It was hard but you will learn. You always have Dick and Damian to help you as well.

There was static then a new voice spoke.

???: And me. I'm here to you know.

Bruce: And what did I tell you about hacking into the communications channel?

Y/N: Hey Booster.

Booster: Hey bud! Sorry about hacking in Batman sir but I was actually already in the area.

Bruce: What do you mean by that?

You jumped out of the vent and found yourself in a surveillance room. You weren't alone. Standing there in the middle of the room was your friend and sometimes partner.

Y/N: What are you doing here?

Bruce: He's in the building?

Booster just grinned at you before turning back to the computer. You looked around and saw two unconscious guards on the ground. You walked over to your friend and looked over the files he was searching.

Bruce: What are you doing at Lex Corp Booster?

Booster just shrugged.

Booster: Work. Apparently in about 5 years, spoiler alert, Lex uses some machine to destroy the watch tower and it crashes onto earth and completely destroys Central City.

You raised an eyebrow but just went back to reading the files. Some kind of energy machine was being made on the -6th floor? How does it go to the negatives? Is it underground? Guess if you were to build a secret weapon of mass destruction you would build it somewhere no one would find it.

You looked back to Booster who was still talking to Bruce. You always wondered why the two of them got along. Well, kinda got along. Bruce would always get annoyed by Booster and his jokes but when it came to business, they worked together good enough. You always wondered if Booster worked with Bruce back when he was Batman. He was a time traveler and you have read stories of him fighting bad guys back in the day.

Bruce: Alright. Y/N, Booster, head to Level -6 and see what you can find.

You nodded and began to make your way back to the vent before Booster opened the main door and began to walk out.

Y/N: Hey!

Booster turned around to face you. You lifted your arms up as to ask what he was doing. He just shrugged and walked out. You chose to follow him to make sure he stays out of trouble. Your your surprise, the entire building was empty.

Y/N: Where is everyone?

Booster handed you a hologram which showed a invitation to a Christmas party. You looked it over before lifting your wrist. A hologram of the time and date popped up. Dec 24th. Christmas Eve.

Y/N: It's, Christmas Eve? Woah.

You had noticed the christmas lights lining the buildings and the various santa claus around the city but you thought you still had a few days. So that was why Maria was so pissed. Well it could be worse. It's not like it was a 3 year relationship that came crashing down. Only a few months. Don't start crying. Don't you cry.

Booster: So how are things going with Maria?

Y/N: I don't want to talk about it.

You and Booster reached the elevator and entered before Booster typed something into his wrist. The elevator started to go down as Christmas music began to play. The two of you stood there side by side as the music played. Booster coughed into his elbow and you sniffed your nose. Booster began to whistle with the song and soon you joined. The two of you continued before hitting the negative levels.

Booster: So, bat work keeping you busy?

You shrugged.

Y/N: Kind of. The Joker Gang is gone, most of Bruce's villains are old and retired or dead, and I haven't seen that Neo Cat Woman in a long time. Mostly been small time thugs or espionage missions like this. You?

Booster: I work only when I want to man. Time Travel is great cause I can just go and do something if I get bored. Some bank robbery 7 years ago? I got it.

You snickered a bit. Lucky bastard. The elevator finally stopped at the right floor and the two of you walked out. The lights were on and you could hear people working. You and Booster quickly shot up to the roof where you hid among the metal beams. You used your visor to get a closer look at the machine and saw that it was exactly what you were looking for.

Booster: Bingo. So what now Bat Gramps?

Bruce: Don't call me that. Try to find out what it is. If it's too dangerous I'll have Y/N insert a virus we've made to destroy it.

You checked your belt and spotted the chip that had the virus on it. You nodded to Booster who sent out his drone to survey the area.

Y/N: I see Skeet got a few upgrades.

Booster: Yeah. Figured he could use some after a, rather unfortunate event 2 years in the future.

You rolled your eyes at his time travel talk. You watched the hologram from Booster's wrist to see what Skeet was seeing. The machine looked almost like a giant generator. The inside glowed a bright green color as scientists stood around it a reported the results on their tablets. Whatever it was, it was loud.

You began to look around with your own visor before spotting Lex Luthor himself. The old man was in his chair with his assistant behind him. A oxygen tank was hooked up to a mask that covered his face. How he was still alive was beyond you. He was even older than Bruce and that was saying a lot. What really caught your eye though was the person standing next to him.

They were wearing a clean, white cloak which covered their entire body. The only visible thing was the bottom half of their face which was covered by a red mask of shorts. It seemed to be a smiley face of some kind. You didn't recognize them and you couldn't find anything when you ran the image through the computer.

Y/N: Who is that? Someone the league faced?

Bruce: No. This is someone new.

Y/N: Yay.

Hear the sarcasm?

You return your attention to Sleet Vision, Booster's name, to see something that made your skin crawl. You told Booster to keep Skeet there so you can look it over.

Y/N: Bruce.

Bruce: I see it. The League of Shadows.

In the metal was the logo of a symbol you recognized immediately. Practically your family Crest.

Booster: Since when did the demon head help out Lex? Thought the Shadows pulled away from everyone after the Assault on Mt. Justice. Why are they giving equipment to make a super weapon?

Y/N: You don't know? I thought you said they were going to shoot down the watch tower or something. Was the Shadow involved?

Booster just shook his head. He called Skeet back as he put away the hologram. You turned back to watch Skeet return only to instead see him get shot down. You and Booster quickly took cover as the mysterious figure lowered their gun.

Cloaked Figure: Intruders. I will take care of them immediately.

Lex nodded as his assistant took him away from the action. The figure brought out another gun and began to look around for the two of you. You looked over the corner only to duck back quickly when the figure saw you.

Booster: Who is this ass?

The figure continued to open fire and the two of you fled to different areas. You turned the corner and tried to rush to the man only to be knocked back by a mysterious force. You ducked back behind some crates as Booster flew around and shot off a laser which hit the figure. The figure stood back up and tore away the cloak that was now on fire. The figure wore a tan undershirt with a green vest and a pair of bright red trousers. Hanging on his sides were gun holsters and the mask was indeed a smiley face.

Y/N: Someone likes the Joker's style.

You leap from your place and threw a fist which the Not Joker dodged. He threw a knee into your side but thanks to the suit, you managed to take the hit and return one of your own. Booster moves in closer but is kicked away as the Not Joker grabbed your chest piece and slammed his fist into your visor. Booster shot out another laser which caused the Not Joker to stagger and gave you a chance to round kick him away.

Booster: Upload the virus! I'll hold them off!

You nodded and used your rocket boots to rush to the machine. You grabbed the chip from your belt and started to activate it but it was instead thrown away when Not Joker shot your wrist. You leaped to grab it but you were beaten by Not Joker. You stood back up and stood next to Booster.

Y/N: One job. You had one job.

Booster: They have guns.

Y/N: You have lasers.

Booster: Shut up and focus on the bad guy.

Bruce: Since when is he the serious one?

You and Booster rushed the Not Joker who got ready for the fight. As you swung, Not Joker grabbed your arm as Booster tried to kick the chip away but was instead thrown back by the same mysterious force from before. Not Joker held the chip up as they brought it down to your wrist. You panicked and used the boosters to free yourself from their grip. You flipped before rocketing back to Not Joker and tackling them to the ground. Booster rejoined the fight and reached for the chip.

Not Joker: Goodbye.

Everything was suddenly slow motion as you watch Not Joker flip the chip and slam it onto Booster's wrist. Not Joker kicked the two of you away with the mysterious force. The two of you landed by the disabled Skeet as Booster's gear began to malfunction. Not Joker stood up as they watched the two of you. They gave a wave before everything went white.

A surge rushed through your body as you felt as if time around you began to move. When you opened your eyes you found yourself on top of a building. Booster sat up and began to frantically look at his wrist only to find nothing popping up. No hologram, no lasers. You stood up and rushed to the edge of the building to look around.

Y/N: Where are we?

You didn't recognize this city. The buildings looked old and, small. There was no holograms, no robots, not a single hover car. You checked your radio to contact Bruce only to be met with static. You turned back to Booster who was already at work with taking parts from Skeet to fix his gear.

Y/N: Hey, gold boy! Where are we? Where did you thing take us?

Booster: I don't know. Give me a sec to fix my stuff.

You sighed and walked over to help. After a few minutes, and a lot of complaining about technology and the virus you made, the two of you finally fixed the wrist gadget. While Booster was looking though the hologram, you were working on his boots.

Booster: So, good news and bad news. Which do you want first?

You gave it some thought.

Y/N: I could use some good news.

Booster: We're still in Gotham.

You dropped the boot and began to freak out.

Y/N: No. No no no no nononono!

Booster: Calm down! Please calm down!

Y/N: HOW CAN I STAY CALM?! I'M IN THE PAST!

Booster: Only by a couple years!

Y/N: What's a couple of years? I grew up in Gotham Booster! It never looked like this the whole 17 years I've been alive! What's a couple of years Booster?!

Booster hesitated a bit as he tried to hide the hologram. He took a deep breath and sighed.

Boomer: The date is Dec 24th, 2019.

You felt as if the whole world was crumbling around you.

Y/N: 2019? 2019?! We came from 2050! I'm not born for another 13 years!

Booster rubbed the back of his head as you tried to calm yourself down the best you could. Deep breaths.

Y/N: Can we get back?

Booster: My time tech is fried and time travel won't be invented for another 40 years. So, not at the moment.

You nodded before sitting down cross legged. You began to think before standing up.

Y/N: Ok. This is fine. We just need to avoid Bruce and any other justice league member and we'll be just fine. We keep our heads down and we'll make it through this.

Booster smiled before spotting a figure behind you and sighing.

???: Booster, you have a lot of explaining to do.

You tended up as you turned to see Batman. Bruce Wayne Batman. Well, things couldn't get worse.

???: Well, this is interesting.

You turned back around to find a lot more people on the rooftop. Nightwing, Robin, three different Batgirls, Red Hood, Red Robin, and Batwoman. Most of the Bat Family.

Y/N: Crap.
