After 5 days

In these 5 days rajveer and Naina was always together. They spoke a lot and often got lost in each other's eyes leading to a teasing session by harsh and Shyam ji. Rajveer was almost better. He just had to walk with a stick for support.

It was night time and all four were sitting in the living room and chatting when the door bell rung. Shyamji got to the door, but he was not confused seeing a stranger as he was sure about his arrival.

"Rajveer Sir" Alekh ran towards rajveer and hugged him tight. Tears flowed from his eyes and he was a bit annoyed that he couldn't control his tears. He let go of all such thoughts and decides to hug him first. He held him in a tight baby like grip and cried.

"Lt Alekh Sharma, the second best cadet passing out of KMA batch 2008. A rebel who stopped at nothing aur jo har niyam ko todta tha aj usse mere samne uniform mein dekh kar main kitna khush hoon bata nahi sakta. I am very very proud of you Lt" Rajveer said with a gentle smile while he gently got out of his embrace. He wiped his tears and once again embraced him.

Naina, Harsh and Shyamji was watching this scene unfold with a smile. After a while Alekh took a step back and touched Rajveer's feet "Aaj apun Jo bhi hai aap hi ki wajah se hai sir. Aap ne apun pe bharosa rakha, warna apun toh kabka kalti maar deta. "

Rajveer was overwhelmed by this gesture and says "nahi alekh tum khud ki mehnat se yahan tak pahunche ho Maine sirf sahi rasta dikhaya tha. Uss raste par tum khud chale ho!"

"Ab aap dono ek dusre ki tarif karna band kar dijiye aur baith jaiye. Khade khade baat karni hai aisa kahin pe nahi lika hai" Naina says knowing very well that they both can talk on this topic for a very long time.

"Acha mere do students toh yahan aa gaye mere paas baki chaar ka kya. Unhe aap donon ne bataya ya nahin" Rajveer inquires while sitting down.

"Haan apun ne Ali aur Yudi ko toh bata diya aur Ali ne apne mehbooba ko bata diya hoga. Aur woh dono kal idhar ko aayenge. Pata nahi kyun par unn dono ne already chutti le Li thi. Yudi 2-3 din baad ayega.Par Hooda ka koi ata pata nahi hai" Alekh says and Naina is tensed as no one knows about Hooda's whereabouts.

"Koi baat nahi pata lag jayega uske bare mein" Rajveer assures those two.

"Ab aap sab ke liye khana laga dein ya aur kuch bhi poochna hai. Meri pet mein choohe nahi balki haati jhum raha hai" Harsh casually says but he gets startled when alekh joins his hands in front of him.

"Humare Rajveer sir ko bachane ke liye bohot bohot shukriya. Aur kisi ko na batane ke liye bhi. Agar aap kisi ko bata dete toh pata nahi kya hota. Sir ko bhagne ke liye saza aur bad jaati" Alekh gives his small thank you speech.

"Aree iss mein thank you ki kya baat hai Sharma sahab. Logon ki jaan bachana hi toh Mera pesha hai. Haan Aaj kal doctor ek business profession ke angle se dekha jaata hai par hum jaise kuch ache doctors bhi hai" Harsh says and then continues "Ab khana khate hai please, aapne bhi bohot lamba safar tay Kiya hai, thakk Gaye honge." and all of them sit to eat dinner.

DELHI

A man in his early 20's running behind an old man in his late fifty. The old man was about to escape when a girl in her early 20s stood in front of him.

"Ayye ladki raaste se hatt" He said in a threatening voice.

"Mein toh peeche hatne se rahi. Tu bol Kahan bhaage Jaa Raha tha. Jahan bhi jaa rahe thhe na ab nahi Jaa payega. Teri Script Yahin Pe Khatam Hoti Hai. " She says and takes a bold step forward.

"Mera bas chale toh tujhe bhi unn ladkiyon ke saath bhej doon. Kafi acha maal hai tu" He says and that exact sentence makes the girl angry and the man just hits his own forehead knowing that she will beat the crap out of him.

And she didn't disappoint him. She started thrashing the man. "Aku Aku shaant, isse itni buri tarike se maar nahin sakti.Hume isse police ke hawale karna hoga."

"Iski baatein sun ne ke baad mujhe Mera baap bhi nahi rok sakta." She stops for a while to say this and again starts hitting him.

"Officer Akriti Bhatt" This makes her stop in her tracks and she gets scared. It is never a good news for her whenever he sees her hitting someone. She turns behind and sees him nowhere but her partner holding a phone and laughing. She understands it is a recording of one in her thousand scoldings that she gets from him . She gets more angrier than before and takes it upon the criminal.

"Officer Akriti Bhatt. Ruk jaiye. Aap usse itna nahi maar sakti" A man in his late 20's come and tries to stop her.

"Rummy agar tumne wapas unki awaaz se mujhe darane ki koshish ki Naa toh mein tumhara bhi aise hi haal karne wali hoon" She states angrily and before she throws another punch, her hand is caught and she turns angrily to give a piece of mind to rummy.

But her eyes meet the stern ones and she begins to sulk. Rummy helps the criminal get up.

"Officer gaur aap isse apne saath hospital leke jaiye aur iski Patti karwaye aur aap officer Bhatt... Aap humare saath ayenge" He says and starts to leave

"Abhimanyu sir. Galti meri nahi hai woh toh..." She tries to reason but when she sees him glaring at her, she stops and quietly sits in the car.

Abhimanyu shakes his head and goes inside not before instructing rummy to take the criminal fast.

The drive was a silent one and Akriti was busy sulking and looking out the window.

They soon reach the office with written STF - special task force . and seeing Akriti's face everyone understands the situation as this was turning into a normal occurance.

"Wapas Officer Akriti?" A man of Abhimanyu's age asks.

"Capt Randhawa aap toh samajhiye.." she starts but soon gets interrupted by abhimanyu.

"Kya samajna hai inhe haan... Kya? Kyun maara aapne unhe itni buri tarike se. Apko pata nahi hai ki major sharma yahan nahi hai, agar aapse kuch gadbad ho gayi na toh koi nahi bachayega apko. Hum toh bilkul nhi" Abhimanyu asks her angrily.

"Criminals ko na Maru toh kya unki pooja... Ouch purvi" Purvi hits her before she completes the statement.

"Chup na aku. Kyun sir ka BP badhati rehti hai" Peter rebukes her for her actions while akriti pouts sadly.

"Hume lagta hai akriti ji ko Captain Abhimanyu ko pareshaan karna acha lagta hai" Mallah comments to which akriti gives a million dollar smile to abhimanyu.

Abhimanyu shakes his head in disbelief and smiles. Everyone notices the changes that took place in Akriti after joining STF. Abhimanyu too enjoys this Akriti who would not sit quietly even for a minute and would always do something or the other to rile him up.

" Aree Mein jaan bujke kyun abhimanyu sir ko pareshaan karungi? Woh toh uss criminal ne gussa dila diya warna mein kisi pe bewajah haat kyun uthaungi?" Akriti says and gives a cheeky smile to everyone.

"Haan ye baat aapne sahi kahi. Bas aapko gussa na aye iska arrangment karna hoga. Koi baat nahi hum aapke gusse ko kabu karne ke liye kuch tasks sochte hai" Abhimanyu says making everyone laugh and akriti to sulk. He smiles at her antics.

" Sir woh criminal ko hospital le jaake police ke hawale karke aya hoon" rummy enters the office. he goes on to say "Aku ne jo dhulai ki hai uski. do teen din tak rukna padega shaayad"

"Ek toh tum mujhe aku bulana band karo. Akriti naam hai mera. Aur dusri baat agar main nahi marti toh tum maar dete usse. Usne harqat aur baat hi aise ki thi" Akriti warns him about calling her a nickname and justifies her anger.

"Come on Akriti, sab ko pata hai ki tumhe humare aku bulane se koi problem nahi hai." purvi says with a I-Know-it look.

"Boyfriend ki harqaton ko tum pehchaan nahi sakti, badi ayi mujhe jaan ne wali" She angrily states. No one should know about her liking towards the nickname. They are not her friends just acquaintance.

"Pehle sab akriti ji ko pareshaan Karo phir baad mein jab maar khaoge toh shikayat karte rahoge" Malah says knowing the future as it has been played on repeat in these 8 months.

"Dude tum apni sweet sweet suggestion apne paas rakho. Mujhe toh aku ko irritate, what do you call it, tang karna pasand hai." Peter smirks to annoy akriti more.

"Haan aur waise bhi zaroorat padne par Bhai (Abhimanyu) aur mallah hai hi." Rummy goes behind abhimanyu and show his tongue to akriti.

"Humne aapse kitni baar kaha hai officer gaur ki duty hours mein Hume Bhai mat boliye." Abhimanyu shakes his head as always tired of reminding protocols to him.

"Sorry sir" Rummy pouts. He always loved having Abhimanyu as his brother that he forgets to call him 'sir'.

"Agar janab ek baar mein Maan jaate toh Inka naam rummy gaur kahan padta." Gunny teased him and pulled him from his hiding place.

"Captain, aapko bas inhe pareshaan karna hota hai. chota bhai hai aapka. Favour na sahi Kam se kam pareshaan toh mat kijiye" Abhimanyu chided gunny for his tease.

"Wahi toh. Normal log apne Bhai ko sar ankhon par rakhte hai aur ek mere bhaiya hai. Ek taraf dad dusre taraf ye insaan, humesha mujhe pareshan karte rehte hai!" Rummy sobs dramatically. Everyone rolls their eyes.

"Rummy bas ho Gaya haan... Itna bhi fake what do call it gandi acting karni nahi chahiye" Peter whacked rummy into silence.

Purvi smiled at her boyfriend's drama and and looked at Akriti's bleeding knuckles intensely "Chalo aku tumhari haato ki Patti kar deti hoon. Khoon beh raha hai."

"Nahi it's okay. Thoda sa khoon hai" Akriti dismisses it and remembers those times when no one observed her pain her bleeding hands. She doesn't know if her parents' death is a blessing or a curse. Curse to be away from her brother and sister,n blessings to meet so many loving people in these six years.

"Aree aise kaise. Meri baat toh tum maanti nahi. Agar Vidya hoti toh..." Her words refreshed an untouched wound in everyone's hearts but two of them were more miserable.

"Vidya ko bhi main haath lagane nahi deti. Woh to woh mother India kuch zyada hi irritating hai" she thought she replied casually but everyone can read her eyes. Especially abhimanyu.

Vidya. A smile comes in his eyes but tears get formed too. The pain in his eyes and smile are contradictory. He doesn't know why he is feeling that way. Or maybe he still chooses not to know. He silently left from there making abhimanyu also follow him.

"Maina sabka mood kharab kar Diya na" Purvi holds rummy's hands and looks at Capt. Randhawa retreating figure.

"It's okay queen of hearts, kisi ne kaha tha bade bade shehron mein aisi choti moti batein hoti rehti hai" rummy says making everyone look at him like 'shut the heck up'

"Areee Bhai Gaye hai na bhaiya ke peeche toh tum sab pareshaan mat ho thik hai" rummy makes everyone understand the situation. Mallah suggests going back to work.

Abhimanyu follows Gunny till his room. He silently sits beside him on the bed and patiently waits for him to open up. After a while Gunny starts to voice out his feelings

"Maine Vidya ke saath bahut bura kiya tha captain. Ye jaante hue bhi ki woh mujhse unintentionally sahara le rahi thi main unhe hurt karta raha. Major sharma bhi kehti thi ki mujhe unhe support karte rehna hoga kyunki vidya ek bahut achi sipahi banti. Lekin kabhi Eagle ke mission ki frustration unpe nikal deta tha toh kabhi apni gulit....."

That took abhimanyu's special interest "guilt?"

Gunny tries to cover his slip up. Although he trusts his friend, he has still not come in terms with his past
"kuch nahi captian!! woh bas aise hi kuch bhi nikal gaya! Good Night Captian!"

"Good night captain" Abhimanyu comes out of the room and sighs "aise hi kuch bhi nahi nikalta randhawa sahab. Apko ye kon samjhaye."

NEXT MORNING
HARSHWARDHAN'S HOME

All just finished their breakfast and started chatting waiting for pooja and ali. Harsh still had plenty of time till his shift started. Alekh opened the door with a wide smile as soon as they heard the doorbell.

Pooja already had tears streaming down her face at one look of her Sharukh. She just started crying looking at him alive and safe. 

"Miss Ghai aap itna ro kyun rahe hai? humara zinda rehna apko pasand nahi aya?" Rajveer joked and embraced Pooja. He couldn't stop himself from kissing the crown of her forehead and consoling her.

Once she stopped crying, she decided to answer the question which was asked 15 minutes ago. "aisa nahi hai sir! woh toh buss humare aur apka wapas connection judte huwe dekh ke kush hu. Hum sabne aapko bahut miss kiya sir. khaskar naina ne." He looked at Naina who was nervous by her sudden interference and cursed pooja for bringing whole attention to her.

"Ab aap hi se baat karun ya Lt Beig se bhi baat kar sakta hoon?" Rajveer asked hi cadet urf fan's permision to which pooja gave him a huge smile and nodded while going to hug Alekh and Naina. He then made his way to his most sincere cadet who was just standing there and observing everyone. Seeing Raj walking towards him, he let the tears fall from his eyes and hugged him.

"kaise hai sir aap? hum aapse mafi mangte hai ki humne apko dhoondne ki koshish nahi ki. Woh aapke jaane se problem ek ke upar ek aa rahi thi. aur humare hero thhe bhi nahi hume bachane ke liye. Abhimanyu sir ne bahut help ki lekin woh thode tede hai na toh chup chup kar khel khelte thhe. aapki tarah direct humari side nahi lete thhe." He said while he was still hugging Raj. Rajveer gently parted ways and smiled.

"Haan! Chauhan saahab ka naam toh abhimanyu hai na toh chakravyuh se nipatna toh padega. Aur hume aapse koi shikayte nahi hai Lt..  Infact hume aap sab pe garv hai ki aap logon ne woh mission complete kiya jiss ki wajah se mein ne aur naveen ne apna sab kuch kho diya. Aap logon ne sabit kar diya ki aap logon ki friendship hi aap logon ki takat hai." Rajveer directly looked into Ali's eyes and said.

"Haan kya tum donon bhi ro rahe ho. humare sir zinda hai khushi manao." Alekh got irritated and rubbed his forehead. He was tired of people crying instead of being happy. 

"Jaisi ki alekh tum toh ro hi nahi rahe thhe." Naina sarcastically said and looked at Ali-Pooja "waise ali aur pooja tum donon ne already holiday kyun li thi?"

"Kahi tum dono apun sab ko bina bataye shaadi toh nahi kar rahe thhe na?" Alekh asked in a threatening voice to which the couple hurriedly shaked their heads.

"Aree aisa kuch nahi hai alekh bhai woh toh bus milne ke liye ek hafta chutti li thi. Woh kya haina jabse Pooja ne accademy chodi hai tabse hum mil hi nahi paye thhe." Ali replied frantically. Leaving their friends and marrying is a big NO NO.

Rajveer then thought to ask pooja the question which was almost eating him up from the time he got to know about Pooja leaving army "Ek baat puchun cadet Ghai. Aapne army kyun chodi? woh bhi jab last semester tha? aisa kya hua ki apne apka sapna chod diya?"

"Woh sab baate kisi aur din karte hai na sir. Ab hum bas kuch der ke liye full network pe baat karenge baad mein bata dungi ki mera connection kyun chuk gaya." Pooja replied with a dull smile. She was happy at her new job but she even missed being  a part of army.

Pooja Ali then go towards Harsh and was about to say something when Harsh cut them off "Thank you apne humari sir ki jaan bachayi. Aap time pe nahi hote toh shayad Hume humare sir kabhi mil nahi paate. Janta hoon jaanta hoon." He mocked them and then smiled gently at them "Its just that ki tum logon ko mujhe nahi upar Wale ko thank you bolna hai. Waise ab meri shift hai toh baad mein baat karunga." saying so he left making others think about him as blessing in disguise. 

"Ab bas Yudi aur Huda ka aana baki hai" Pooja chirped and then stopped realizing something "Ek baat batao, Huda ke saath humara network mil raha hai na?" 

Naina just shook her head "Nahi na Pooja. Pata nahi woh pagal kahan jaake pada hua hai"
