Chapter 11

I stand, shocked at the sight of the room that i will be staying in, at the very most, I decide, one minute.

The room is literally nearly comepletely pink, the round walls are a pale baby pink, the carpet a plush dark pink, the three beds have a mixture of pink stripes on the bed covers, there are pink curtains in the large windows, and all the sofas and pooffes are all shades of pink.

The girl who granted us entrance to a unicorn dreamland, sits at a pink dressing table, applying mascara.

She stands up to greet us, and Smooths down, of course, her pink dress.

She scowls at me, well, that's a bit rude, she doesn't even know who I am yet.

"You may go now," she says coldly to Brenda, I shoot her a sympathetic glance before she walks out the door, she gives me a kind nod.

When the door closes, I scan the girl standing in front of me, brown hair, chocolate Brown eyes, and looks my age.

She looks at me,
"What are you looking at?" She spits, I decide I don't like her.

Before I can reply, the door bursts open once more, and a girl with currently messy blonde hair, and bright green eyes.

Her chest is heaving, probably from coming up the never ending staircase, it looks like im not the only un-fit person in this castle.

"Why?" she heaves "Does our dorm," she pauses once more, I guess shes more un-fit than even I am, the girl continues, "Have to be so high?"

The girl in front of me rolls her eyes, "They are not that high, Samantha, get over it." She says.

"Well, I think they are," I hear her mutter as she walks past me, an flumps down on to the middle bed.

I like this Samantha, she shares my great dislike for the stairs.

"You find it easy to walk up the stairs because you're fit, Naomi," She spits out the girls name venemously, good.

Samantha flumps down onto her pillow again, face down.

Naomi hands me a glass of water that was sitting on the dressing table, and winks and smiles at me, what? I don't get this girl.

"Go pour it on her head, we have to go to dinner, I don't even know why she came up here, she's just going to go back down."
She whispers to me, and winks again, then sits back down in front of the mirror.

I hesitate, afraid, and Naomi gestures to me through the mirror to go ahead with it, I decide to do it.

I slowly creep up to the already snoring mass of golden curls, which soon turn a shade of Brown when I tip the tall glass onto Sam and the bed.

Sam bolts up straight and screams, dripping, it was a big glass.

She glares at me.

"That was cold, you know, you could have heated it up, at least!" She shrieks at me.

How the heck was I supposed to heat it up?

Naomi chuckles, and Sam turns her glare to her, instead.

"You!" She screeches, she grabs a pillow, and stumbles over to the girl sitting on the pink stool in front of the mirror.

"You shouldn't have told her to do that!" She yells, then thumps Naomi over the head with the fluffy pink pillow, she doesn't even flinch.

Sam growls.

I can't help it, I start laughing, not chuckling, full blown hysterical, and the girls turn round to stare at me, and that makes me laugh even harder, because Sam is dripping wet, and Naomi is is covered in feathers, for Sam had whacked her with the pillow so hard that it had exploded.

I laughed so hard until I started crying, but they weren't happy tears, they were unhappy tears, for so much had happened in the span of a few hours, heck, I didn't even know what time it was.

As my laughter dies down, it is replaced with heavy sobs, and the girls faces instantly turn from smiling, to concern, and they rush over and embrace me, and this makes me cry even harder, because I'm crying for no reason.

They hug me tighter, and we stay like that for about two minutes, and my sobs slowly turn into sniffles.

Sam pulls away and looks at me with concern in her bright green eyes that remind me of my sister's, my sniffles start to increase again.

"Oh no! Don't cry again!" She exclaims, "What's wrong?" She questions.

Naomi pulls away too.

"I'm fine," I reply, calming down, "I just miss my family, that's all," because, after I refused to leave my father, I was standing outside Mari's door for a good seven minutes or so, and had seen the goldeb flash of light so like the one that made my sister and mother disappear.

"Oh, right, that explains it," Naomi says, in a cheerful tone.

She pulls me up off the floor.

"Look at you!" She exclaims, with a horror struck look on her face "Your clothes!"

I glance in the full length mirror across the room, at my tatty hair and grass and mud stained jeans and jumper.

"Oh," was all my throat would allow me to say.

"Come on, let's go get you some fresh clothes, you can wash later, dinners in twenty minutes," Naomi states.

Sam flumps down onto her bed again, face down once more.

"I'm just going to stay here," Sam's voice is muffled by the now pillowless mattress.

"Sam...." Naomi threatens "I'll pour a bucket of water over you in thirty seconds od you don't get up and get ready very soon!"

Sam groans and slowly gets up and walks towards a pair of double doors near the dressing table.

Naomi tugs my hand and we follow after her.

Sam very slowly pulls open the doors.

I am, once again, shocked by the sheer size of the wardrobe.

And of course, almost everything is pink.

Sam walks over to a less pink side of the closet, and lazily picks out a washed out pair of jeans and a green jumper.

Naomi pipes up after Sam walks out of the closet and across the room, I hear an echoing door slam, that must be the bathroom.

"You're more my size, so you can borrow some of my clothes" she beams.

I inwardly groan, because she was right, Samantha was far too small.

Naomi drags me towards the completely pink side of the wardrobe, and plonks me down on a nearby red stool.

She walks around, examining all the different shades of pink clothes.

Eventually, she chucks me a pair of dark pink jeans, and a flowy chevron light pink top.

She points me towards the bathroom.

"Hurry up!" She shouts, as I walk across the room and into the now empty bathroom, Sam is desperately trying to flatten her curls with a hairbrush in the mirror.

I lock the door behind me, the bathroom is completely pink, as to be expected.

I strip down to my underwear, do my business, cause I was desperate, you know? And get dressed in the fresh clothes, which are actually quite comfortable, and walk out of the bathroom.

Naomi is dressed in a pink skirt and jumper, and is applying another layer of mascara.

"Good!" She exclaims, she stands up and claps her hands, "So much better, don't you think?"

I look in te mirror and cringe, far to much pink, I'll have to get my own clothes washed.

Neither girls notice my expression.

Sam looks at her watch and squeaks.

"Dinner is in five minutes!" she shrieks.

Sam walks over to me and grand my arm and hails me unwillingly out of the room.

I look at the staircase in dread.

Sam sighs "Here we go again," she mutters.

I nod in agreement.

Naomi starts descending, I go next, and then Sam.

I internally groan at what's ahead.
