You walk down the long hallway that's littered with rose petals and candles. You smile widely, not really sure what's going on.

     Thranduil told you to meet him at midnight on the balcony that overlooks the waterfalls of the Forest River. He specifically told you to take this hallway to get there.

     "What is going on?" You murmur to yourself, a giddy feeling quickly welling up inside of you. You walk down the hall, taking everything in. You stop at the end of the hall and look back. "So beautiful." You whisper, smiling.

    You turn back to the door that leads to the balcony. You open it and walk in. From here you can hear the sound of the waterfalls. You walk up a small staircase and then you see Thranduil leaning up against a pillar on the balcony, looking out at the Forest River. You take in a deep, nervous breath and walk forward.

     "What is this?" You ask, standing beside Thranduil.

     He looks at you and grins. He wraps an arm around your waist. "Y/N, I'm so glad you're here." He says.

      "Of course I'm here. I could not ignore a request for my presence from my king, could I?" You smirk, leaning into him.

       Thranduil laughs softly, a beautiful sound, which makes you sigh. "No, no you could not." He murmurs, staring down at you. He grabs your hand gently and walks you to the balcony. "Y/N, I actually wanted you to come here because I need to ask you something." He stares, not looking at you.

     Your stomach drops. "Yes?" You ask nervously.

     Thranduil turns to face you and wraps his arms around you. He slowly sinks to his knees. "Y/N, would you do me the honor of being my wife? I love you more than anything in this whole world." He whispers, his blue eyes filling up with tears.

     "Oh, Thranduil." You whisper, putting your hands on his shoulder. Tears slide down your cheeks. "Of course I will." You choke out.

     Thranduil breathes a sigh of relief and stands. He pulls you into his arms and hugs you tightly. "Thank you. Thank you so much." He whispers.

      "I love you." You sigh, closing your eyes. Thranduil pulls his head back and kisses you passionately.
