Epilogue
Day Six
Time might as well of been considered over.
So much had been done in six days, and yet, it was nearly enough.
The girl was able to stand for almost two minutes on her own, with the support of a walker or some kind of sturdy surface.
A compassionate man fought all he could to save the girl from her fate; a trial that would destroy her from the inside out. Although he failed, he was able to discover secrets and among the others, anxiously await the trial.
A family happily celebrated their young daughter's seven months of life, her name being the same as the girl's, only to be destroyed when realizing that the girl would not be tried fairly as they were.
A mother and father await seeing their daughter again, the father missing his leadership role, for his faction agrees to have his daughter put on trial for pure innocence.
A friend greatly wants to visit the girl, for they once were very close. The last time she said down with the girl, there still was tension about the girl shooting the friend's boyfriend. The friend stands firm, wishing there was more she could do.
A liar meets with an unlawful leader, working against many people to prove the girl guilty.
Nothing is perfect, but life wasn't made to be perfect.

"Mr. Haynes!" West runs after the man. "Could I please buy a few extra minutes of your time?"
The man slows his pace and turns slightly, his profile shown to the leader as he stops completely.
"No one will listen to me when I say she's dangerous. You understand me, don't you?"
"Why of course I do." He replies, looking at his cuticles.
"I need your help. I can't do this without you."
"Oh, I'm sure you can't." He doesn't look up from his cuticles.
"What would you want in return?"
"What do I want?" His gaze moves upwards slightly to meet the leader's face. "Your position."
"You know I can't do that." The leader says automatically.
Peter Haynes gives the leader a knowing look, and the leader knows he's going to really have to try to get what he wants, along with what Peter wants.
"If, and I mean if Tris Prior is proven guilty by your information, I will resign and leave my position to you."
"I also want an apartment. One of your nicest apartments in your faction."
"I will find you one of our nicest apartments, and if the girl is found guilty, from strictly your information, I will give my leadership position to you. Deal?"
"Deal." The men shake hands.
"Let's go into my office, shall we?" The leader walks away, Haynes following in tow.

"Indy, sit." He says sternly, and the dog sits, his tail thumping on the hard wood floors.
"Good boy, now stay." Four opens the door, revealing Christina, the girl's very good friend.
"Turn on the news, quick." She says, taking charge and finding the remote on the coffee table across from the couch, turning the television on. The Erudite news station pops up and a story is just beginning.
The trial of Beatrice Prior takes place tomorrow. This trial was formerly placed as private, but as of a few minutes ago, now will be held publicly. Why this decision has been made, we are awaiting an answer from Candor leader, West.
This trial will be held in Candor headquarters tomorrow at twelve noon until a conclusion has been made.
Dauntless members of Prior's former faction have been working endlessly to try and stop this trial completely, for Prior was in the Mentally Impaired Unit just months ago, and her minimum time to be put on trial after leaving the MIU back in March has now come to an end.
This is the first time Prior will be seen by the city publicly since being rescued and placed in Erudite Medical seven months ago. She has had major injuries complementing her head, and serious surgeries done on her leg which had multiple bullet wounds and a gash that could've cost her her leg, yet alone, her life.
We all await Prior's answers tomorrow at her trial, but we also know that she hadn't been around people or seen anything much outside the walls of her hospital room in seven months. It leaves us all to wonder what is going on through the nineteen-year old's head.
More will come to this story as we receive more information in the future.
The news story ends and the two are left in silence. Even the dog, Indiana, can sense the tension and sits silently, no longer excited to see the visitor.
"They're talking about her as if she's some kind of animal." Christina speaks. "Some kind of caged animal they're determining if they can safely release to the public or not tomorrow. It's sickening."
Four scoffs. "That man... someone needs to put him on trial. You know how many people are going to show up to this social gathering tomorrow? Tris gets upset when there's more than five people in her hospital room. What happens when five hundred show up in a big room?"
"I don't know, Four... Will she even end up under the influence of the serum?"
"I think the serum is just going to be a pain serum. When holding the truth in under the influence of the serum, it causes pain. Tris hasn't had a full conversation in forever; just saying few words and broken sentences here and there. I have a feeling that truth serum won't cause her to talk, therefore will only cause her pain."
The two are quiet for a minute, but Christina speaks up.
"I hate to say it, but that makes sense."

It was her last peaceful night, but she didn't know it.
Dr. Scott came in and checked on her, wearing her heart on her sleeve, but being sure the girl would not notice.
She feared the future for the girl, since the girl had no clue what to fear.
She's had enough fear in her life. She shouldn't have to worry about not being allowed to live in the only city she's ever known.
The doctor was proud of the girl.
She had taught her hope.
Taught her how to stand.
Given her her eyesight back.
Showed her friendship.
She taught her how to trust.
Now she only hopes she will be able to see her again.
As for the girl, she was getting better. She felt comfortable in her hospital room, tucked into her bed with the blanket from Evelyn given to her from Tobias.
She was content.
It was in the early morning of the seventh day that had forgotten everything.
She once had learned to trust.
But as she was ripped from her hospital bed and dragged down the hall for she couldn't walk, she remembered.
Her memory sprung to life; awakening for the first time in a while.
People cannot be trusted.
