Everyone sat in shock as Percy sobbed. What kind of monster would do that to a little child? Espicially to Percy?

Annabeth looked down at the boy. She felt salty tears drip down her neck and down her shirt as she grasped Percy and held him tight. She felt very outraged. Why hadn't Percy said something to any one? If he had only spoken up, Gabe would've been sent to jail a long time ago.

Poesidon was blistering with anger. That monster had abused his son and had went unpunished for a long time. Poesidon wanted more than anything to rip Gabe's head off, but something stopped him. Maybe it was Hades look of shock and realization that led him to think something awful had happened to Gabe.

Hera was the first to speak after the long silence. " Well, I think that's enough for one night. Artimis, please show them to their rooms." she asked politely, as if nothing had happened. Artimis stood up and wiped her eye. Hey, even men don't deserve to be abused.

She gestured for the demigods to follow her, and they set off down a series of corridors. Finally, she stopped in front of a group of doors. "We have you situated, two per room. Piper and Hazel, Leo and Frank, Percy and Annabeth, Jason, your room is over there." she said, pionting to each room one at a time.

Everyone besides Jason retreated into their rooms, leaving him and Artimis in the hallway. They had a little 'staring- no wait- glaring contest. Jaso felt intimidated by the goddess, but refused to show it. Eventually, she stormed away and Jason went into his room.

                  ~meanwhile~

As soon as they entered their room, Percy let himself fall face forwards onto the bed. He repositioned himself, then pulled the covers over his head. He felt no need to change since he was allready in gym shorts.

Annabeth watched carefully as she began to undress. Percy didn't even peek through the covers once as she changed into her Hello Kitty summer p.j.'s (gotta love Hello Kitty! :p) She went over to the bed and laid down next to Percy. Her original plan was to keep an eye on Percy, but as soon as her head hit the pillow she felt her eyes get heavier and heavier until she gave in and fell into a blissful sleep.

                  ~3 hours later~

Annabeth woke up and looked around the room. She had thought she heard something, but nothing seemed out of place. She looked down to her left and saw Percy drooling on her hand.

"Eww!" she muttered as she wiped her hand on his shirt. He stirred a little before turning over on his back. Annabeth smiled and laid back down. She was about to fall asleep again when she heard someone softly singing. She looked back over, and noticed his lips were moving. His voice was so soft Annabeth struggled to make out his words.

"Memories consume

like opening the wounds

I'm picking me apart agian

you all assume

I'm safe here in my room

unless I try to start again"

Annabeth recongnized the song, but only because it was one of Percy's favorite songs. By Linkin Park, she recalled.

Percy rolled back on his side then began to snore.As Annabeth laid down, she pondered all the meanings to the lyrics. As she fell asleep, she could faintly hear the lyrics being repeated.

A/N

So, after like what, four or five months I got this chapter up. I hope you like it. I had lost the notebook, because I took it on a camping trip to Portage Quarry and I had two bags. I left one at my grandpa's house and I only found it acouple days ago. Low and behold, the notebook was in that bag. I'm such an idiot, aren't I?
