It was Christmas eve and Dick, Jason, and I were sitting in front of the fireplace on the soft maroon carpet. It was peaceful. Tim and Bexley we upstairs and Serenity, Damian, and Willow were out doing some last minute shopping. The kiddos were sound asleep in the tv room. It was quiet except for the crackle of the fire and the hushed voices of Alfred and Bruce in the next room. Jason sighed and picked up his cup of peppermint coco and took a sip. Dick adjusted his legs and laid his head in my lap. I loved seeing my boys like this. They were relaxed. No gaurd up. I took this time to observe reality. Dick had flecks of green in his ocean blue eyes. Jason's J scar was barely noticeable now but shone in the fire light. A hummed and leaned my head on Jason's shoulder. With a soft chuckle he twirled a piece of hair in his fingers.
"Guess what guys?"
"What?" They asked simultaneously.
" we made it."
"What do you mean?" Dick asked
" sure, we've had some major bumps in the road but we are all still together."
"I guess you're right, sis" Jason grinned.

" it wasn't all bad..." Dick started.
"You're right Dickie bird." Jason was smiling now.
" apparently I've missed something. "
" your kidding?" Jason sat up a bit straighter and Dick shook his head.
" she never heard it?!?"
"Heard what?!" I exclaimed.
Both boys jumped up pulling me up with them.
"TO THE BAT MOBILE!!" they yelled running down the hallway.
I laughed and followed them down to the batcave. Jason rummaged through the glove compartment while Dick pulled up the media player on the bat computer. Jason came out of the bat mobile with a scratched up cassette tape and popped it in the bat computer. Highway To Hell blasted through the speakers and Batmans Epic Mixtape - A Gift From Robin scrolled across the screen.
The boys laughed and we spent the rest of the night sitting on the floor of the batcave listening to the old tape.
