It was an just average morning in the L/N household and you were on the way to a new school. You disliked the fact that you always moved schools thanks to your father always moved from country to country from being an army. Most of the time your family went along with him when duty calls. 

You were staring at the city view as the car passed by when your father broke the peace by speaking out of the blue. 

"Y/N darling, I'm retiring from the army so you won't have to move to another school any time soon. Your mom and I had decided on enrolling you into the most prestigious high school here so that you can be the best person for us all." he said, glancing at the rear view mirror to see your face. 

You can see from the wrinkles in his eyes that he's genuinely happy. Your father wasn't that elderly, but the fact that he retired from the army at just 54 years old baffled you quite a lot. In the other hand, you're glad that from now on you won't have to move schools and countries. 

"Really? Thanks a lot for this, dad but.. I think I won't belong in that school because I'm afraid they'll just make me stressed from all the homework and besides, the teachers there are so incompetent and they always blamed the students for being lazy!" your anxiety started to form from the thought of moving to a new school, and you hated the last school for being so ineffective with their system. 

As soon as your mom noticed the anxious tone in your voice, she immediately understood about the cause of it. "Honey, don't worry. You'll be a new student in Avengers Academy and I chose that school because everyone said it is so welcoming and friendly to the students, even President Odin's sons were students there!" she replied, sending you a reassuring smile.

"Well I do admit that Thor is very good looking so why don't you date him after you got there, Y/N?" your dad teased, making your mom chuckle at her husband being silly while you blushed a bit with the thought of dating Thor, the son of President Odin. 

"Dad!" 

"Your dad is just being silly as always and now that he's retiring, he can finally stay with us in our home sweet home!" she replied gleefully, your dad kept laughing since he was pretty much a humorous person. 

"Mom? Dad?" you asked, your parents looked at you who was sitting in the back seat. "Yes, honey? Are you nervous for your first day in Avengers Academy?" 

"No, i-it's just... we're here." you were in awe at the marvelous sight of Avengers Academy's building from the window, and your parents had the same look of adoration as they drove into the drop-off spot. 

The building was quite large, with modern architecture that looked quite out of this world along with the signature "A" that adorned the front of the school's building. Out of the schools you've been attending for the last years, Avengers Academy was impressive in the outside and you were sure that this school's system is just as amazing as the exterior architecture. 

"We're here, sweetie!" your dad exclaimed as he pulled over to the srop-off spot. 

You took your backpack that was already packed with the books for today's lesson as written in the time table. More exactly, today had math, English, physics, and music as the subjects. When you're ready, your dad unlocked the car door after your mom said goodbye. 

"Bye, sweetie! Have a nice day at school and you can order an Uber from your phone after school's over! "

"Thanks, mom!" you replied before getting out of the car and into the school's front yard. 

As you kept on walking along the walkway, a few students caught your eye because their appearances were so striking and not that plain unlike the ones from a dingy public school you used to attend. For example: dyed hair, clothes that show shoulders, hoodies, hats, along with skirts and shorts shorter than your mid-thigh are allowed unlike most school dress codes which were quite problematic for you. 

After a while of walking through the long school walkway, you finally arrived at the school's front door and you noticed two people standing near there. One of them was a man wearing an eyepatch and the other was a somewhat stern looking woman with her dark hair tied in a low bun. You assumed they were the principal and vice principal judging from their status and how they act around the students, so when you walked between them into the door, the man greeted you kindly even though you were frightened by his appearance a bit. 

"Welcome to Avengers Academy, kid. I am Nick Fury, the headmaster of this school and this is Vice Principal Maria Hill of Avengers Academy." the eyepatch man stretched out his hand and you shook his hand politely since he was the headmaster after all.

"Hill, would you mind it if you give her a short tour of this school since she was new here?" Fury ordered before leaving into his office inside, while Hill nodded before starting to lead you around the school." 

"You must be Y/N L/N, right? I know you're quite new here so I'll show you the facilities around Avengers Academy so that you won't get lost in this school." Hill said as the two of you walked through the school walkway.

The prologue is pretty meh here but I'll try to make the next chapter quite a bit longer since Y/N will enter her new classroom in Avengers Academy. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'll give you a few questions you can answer below and gimme your best theories about this book first🧐
