Day off.

I woke up that morning, feeling good.

It was a Friday, which meant weekend begins soon, no more school, and no working.

I had the entire day to myself!

I started by going out and seeing what mom was making for breakfast.

"I am making shredded herbs and wheat pads." She said to me. "Yeper is going to help me once she gets everything done."

Yeper was doing who knows what, when Constan walked into the room.

I looked at him, and he partially glared at me. I guess he wasn't over yesterday yet.

"Good morning Constan!" Mom said. "I need you boys to go clean up by the front door. It was windy last night, so some debris blew all around."

I agreed and Constan did too. though, it's not like we had a choice.

We both walked out to the front and saw the debris. We started cleaning.

"I'm still thinking about yesterday," Constan told me, reassuring my assumption. "I still think you are as wrong as ever."

I kept working. "Yeah, well I don't care anymore. Unlike you, I don't have to hold a grudge."

Constan stopped. "I am NOT holding a grudge." He said. "I am simply saying that you are wrong, and I am right. And I will keep saying that constantly."

I stopped as well. "Yeah. You are definitely holding a grudge."

"Am not!" He responded.

"Yes you are."

He growled. I kept the smug look to annoy him. (Yes, it seems childish, I know. But wht would you do if you had a brother like that?)

He looked away. "I am just done with you." He said finally. He walked back inside, leaving me to do the rest of the work.

I continued for a while.

Eventually, my mom called breakfast, and I had to go inside and postpone my work.

We ate in silence for the most part, and Constan was the first one done.

After he left, my mom finished, then Yeper. I was the last one to leave the table. I kept thinking about what Constan believed. He couldn't be right! I couldn't admit defeat to my little brother! It wasn't right!

But it kept nagging at me.

I eventually heard a knock on the door, and went to answer it.

I wondered who would be at the door at this early in the morning. I began opening the door, and thought about it again. Dang it Constan! I really was irritated at him sometimes. His statement was convincing, but I had to stick to what I thought. Not what he thought. Right?

I opened the door fully and saw white at first. I then focused my eyes, and saw more detail.

Oh crud.

Aurora had found where I live.
