Some Poems
***So, I used to have a poetry book, but no one actually looked at it so I'm going to post some of my better poems here. I'll probably post another installment of poems some other time.
Enjoy! And comment which poem was your favorite :)***

Listen to the wisdom
Of the old pine trees
Singing to the sweet song
Of the birds and the bees
Dancing underneath
A harvest moon
To the haunting cry
Of the loon
* * *
She viewed the world
through kindred eyes
Never saw the evils
Forgot about the
Crooks and lies
And people mad as devils
He saw the world
Through a tainted lens
Always saw the hate
Forgot about his
Trusting friends
Until it was too late
They saw the world
Through different views
Never thought the same
He thought her peace
Was mere delusion
She thought his hate
Insane
But she saw the boy
With a different view
Once she heard his story
And he heard hers
And understood
Her thoughts of cheer and glory
They saw the world
Two different ways
But in the end no matter
They went on to live their days
With caution
But with laughter
* * *
Forgotten words
Of ancient times
Forbidden rhythms
Enchanting rhymes
Hidden texts
From a golden hour
Eternal songs
That shall never sour
* * *
Let your wings soar
Over the plains
Never look back
On the hurt and the pain
Let your hooves pound
On this dirty old grass
Savor the feeling
Let go of the past
Let your eyes see
The beautiful earth
Admire your blessings
More than you're worth
Lift your arms high
To the warmth of the sun
Something has ended
But life's just begun

Far away in a meadow
There's a little spot of grass
Beaten down and tossed around
By the animals that pass
But always there is a lady bug
Spots as black as night
And weaving like an expert
A spider is in sight
A colony of ants
Is not too far away
And once and a while a caterpillar
Will find a place to stay
Perched upon a flower
Is a pretty butterfly
Fluttering it's golden wings
At all who pass it by
And soon you'll find a whippoorwill
Song as smooth as glass
All in a meadow far away
In a little spot of grass
